Mewcario, please stay in tune with the topic...
which seem to be biking o3o

I live on campus, so I don't feel the need to bike... Although I got in a huge skateboarding accident a week and a half ago because I didn't ride my bike... But from the bikers i've seen in class, they're always sweaty, and you can't have that right? I mean if you can avoid it anyways.

I dunno. My university is a 30-40 minute trainride and then a 15 minute walk on top of that.

I think I'd much rather catch the train thanks :)

It depends what type of train.
The ones here in New York City are all crowded, musky, and nasty.

You're literally pushed up against someone else during rush hours and the early morning... And you can't move, so if you're in a bad position, your feet will be the ones to take the punishment. Not to mention, there's always that one demented guy, those delinquent high-schoolers, or that roaming preacher in the background yelling about this or that or how they're trying to sell candy to keep themselves out of trouble or how God brings salvation and heathens will burn in Hell. Sometimes there are these guys who give free sandwiches and juice to the homeless/hungry.

Now and then I bike to school, but for the most part my parents drive me. I am unable to ride on a school bus to school for one stupid reason, you may only ride a school bus if you are outside a 3 mile radius of the school. I am litteraly like 2.83 miles. And I am serious they make no exceptions to this rule.
That's insane. For my school, you have to live between 1.5 and 5 miles away from the school to be able to ride the bus. Unfortunately, that ends up hurting more than it helps. About 3 people in a neighborhood just outside of the 1.5 mile radius ride my bus. Because of that, it takes 40-50 minutes for me to get home. (Our route is very unintelligent).

See, while trains here in Sydney are craptacular, they don't get that bad, thankfully. haha. I wouldn't mind the preachers though, it'd be nice to discuss theology with them, or even just troll them.

But yeah, I get on at the start of the line so I always have a seat :)

The only "train" I've ever took were those trans am trains at the airport and Disneyworld.

Even with those, I still didn't like Disneyworld. Go Seaworld.

There's a pretty popular train here where I live, but since I prefer to use other public transport services, I believe I took it like twice in my entire life.

8/ I don't use public transit much around here, though I do use the streetcars/subway downtown when I go. In the city I go to school in, though, my student card doubles as a bus pass and I don't have any other means of transportating so I use buses to get everywhere. :O

...but that's so lazy and you miss seeing things, which is the whole point f going on vacation to a foreign place!? o_O We walked EVERYWHERE when we went to NYC except for one day.

And in TO, the streetcars cover plenty of area where the subways don't. Honestly I'm more interested in the plans to extend subway service farther north than I would be if they were adding more specific stops around the downtown area.

I was referring to the subway system in particular for Toronto. You don't need street cars or anything in New York Paris. XD You don't even need the cab in New York.

With New York we did a lot of walking. We used the subway when we were going somewhere waaay out of the way or somewhere we were earlier in the day. With Paris we used it a whole lot more because we were trying to cover so much area in a day. We still did a ton of walking. We would collapse every night when we got back to the hotel. We would take the subway somewhere in the morning - and we would change trains many times to get to where we needed to go. Walk around for hours, then take the subway somewhere else entirely (with a bunch of transfers again) that was too far to walk to. Then walk for hours again. Then take the subway home late at night.

That you can get absolutely anywhere with just the subway is awesome. That you have to take something else in addition to the subway here is bad.

Literally every street corner was a subway stop in Paris. That doesn't mean you should take it to travel one block - that's stupid and we didn't do that. XD But, you get off exactly where you need to.

I dunno. I'm having trouble of thinking of something important I've bothered to go to downtown that isn't a 5 minute walk from a subway anyway. :|

I live in small town Kentucky, we don't have subway systems. I actually don't think there is one in the state at all... But Iwould love to ride one for the experience.
