I dunno. My university is a 30-40 minute trainride and then a 15 minute walk on top of that.
I think I'd much rather catch the train thanks :)
That's insane. For my school, you have to live between 1.5 and 5 miles away from the school to be able to ride the bus. Unfortunately, that ends up hurting more than it helps. About 3 people in a neighborhood just outside of the 1.5 mile radius ride my bus. Because of that, it takes 40-50 minutes for me to get home. (Our route is very unintelligent). Now and then I bike to school, but for the most part my parents drive me. I am unable to ride on a school bus to school for one stupid reason, you may only ride a school bus if you are outside a 3 mile radius of the school. I am litteraly like 2.83 miles. And I am serious they make no exceptions to this rule.
See, while trains here in Sydney are craptacular, they don't get that bad, thankfully. haha. I wouldn't mind the preachers though, it'd be nice to discuss theology with them, or even just troll them.It depends what type of train.
The ones here in New York City are all crowded, musky, and nasty.
You're literally pushed up against someone else during rush hours and the early morning... And you can't move, so if you're in a bad position, your feet will be the ones to take the punishment. Not to mention, there's always that one demented guy, those delinquent high-schoolers, or that roaming preacher in the background yelling about this or that or how they're trying to sell candy to keep themselves out of trouble or how God brings salvation and heathens will burn in Hell. Sometimes there are these guys who give free sandwiches and juice to the homeless/hungry.
Toronto's goes two directions. I can take the transit system absolutely everywhere in NYC and Paris. I could go down a station and come back out one block away. It's awesome.I hated NYC's subway system. 8/ It's so crowded and confusing. I'll take TTC over that any day. DD:
