It would be a miracle if it was. Unfortunately it isn't(unless you have lived there for 6 years or more xD). I think it a joke Scotland has it as they are part of Great Britain so the Taxes that the people in England pay also fund the people in Scotland getting free University eduction. They may say it doesn't but it obviously does.

I remember hearing in my french class that university in France is paid for by the government as well. It makes you think that going to school in Europe might be worth it (If the offer still applies to foreign students =P)
I don't think it would be. :P I think it'd be subsidized by taxes over there, so since you'd be coming from out-of-country and thus not paying taxes, you'd be charged the proper price.

I know that's how it works here. Tuition is heavily subsidized in Canada and foreign students have to pay like $8-10 thousand more to attend universities here. @_@

That's what I thought...It's the same thing with out-of-state students attending the New York state schools. It ends up being a few thousand dollars more each semester, which is why we have almost no one from different states. Although we do have quite a bit of foreign students here.

Mm, there are a LOT of foreign students at my university. In my first year (well, semester), only one other roommate was from my province. Another was from across Canada and the fourth was from Hong Kong. @__@;; And then a lot of people I got to know weren't from Canada either.

Ha, I think all (public) colleges/universities are kind of like that. My friend Lani up in Canada talks about how it's cheaper to go to school there, but when you add in the out-of-country fees, it isn't. XD; That's part of why I'm looking at schools in Florida; there's plenty of good schools and it isn't as expensive to go. (I guess I could apply for more scholarships, but I haven't got the time right now. Ha ha~)

My neighbour is hosting an exchange student from Hong Kong and she went to an international school back home. We haven't spoken much on the school, but it sounds neat to be able to talk with people from all over the world in person. I've had classmates who were from/were in different parts of the world, but most of them made for poor conversation we didn't talk much.

I don't have much to say about school right now. I'm about to enter my sixth week at home due to a strike. O_O

I should be having final exams right now, but....

.............the hell? What's this over?

You know, I'm surprised I didn't start some sort of strike or protest.... long story.

I think our campus is about 30% Asian, and plenty of my professors are also foreign. My chem TA can barely speak english ;___;....It's kinda cool to be on such a diverse campus though.

My faculty is like 80% Asian (probably 50% Oriental Asian at least). It's kind of interesting because I've never been a visible minority before. :P It's mostly just the math and engineering that's Asian, though... pretty much every other faculty has a majority of white people. XD;

I think Asians are good at maths in general. They also seem to be good at art work. In my schools maths and art lessons it is mainly Asian people. My school has more Asian than white people. We are the minority out of every other race. xD

Wow, 7 hours without one post in the Daily Chit-Chat...slow day...
Anyway, I just went out to eat for my bro's B-Day. It was this Italian place, and usually the food is really good there, but tonight it was way off. They must have had a replacement cook working that night.

That's always disappointing when things like that happen. Happy birthday to your brother! I hope the rest of his day was nice, at least. =)

Goodness, so many choices. I want to rearrange my room before the local "party season" starts and I have no time whatsoever until January, but first I have to decide where I want to put things. |D;

I was rearranging my room when I got home from school in August but... I kind of stopped for some reason. Four months later and my room is still an utter mess. XD Now I just want to tidy it up before I go BACK to school in January.

I've had a half-size bookcase in the middle of my room for a while now. XD; I've just gotten used to walking around it, stepping over other things, etc.

My room has mess of text books that I left there before the strike started XD

I don't mind cleaning. I get an odd sense of accomplishment from organizing the stuff in my room

My room is tidy for a change. I have had friends round every day this week so I couldn't have them round with an untidy room.

Well...I hope you stay safe. You're right beside Iraq (Which shouldn't really matter since the US military and British are withrawing) You'll still have a 'Net connection there in Kuwait right? Stay up to date. =P

... DUDE! It IS safe! XD
We have no army, so we have the American and English army on the borders. We're protected ;p
And yes, we do have a connection, lol. It's just that my house's connection is really bad, and I'll be too busy hanging out with my friends to get online (unless I'm going to check my grades).

I'll still post here, but it will be less often =)
