I don't do field trips very much now that I'm in high school but back in iddle school ew went to a amusement park every year. so awesome.

:( Definitely. It didn't help that I felt so disrespectful because I kept nearly falling asleep in a temple. sdlkfhds. XD; But... but the pizza was good.

For me, it was in a place where a holocaust survivor was telling his story. Words can not describe how awful I felt because I really wanted to listen and I was trying my best to be respectful, but it didn't help that I was sick. :(

Field trips!
I've only been on one field trip since I've been and high school.
And that was only because I'm in StuCo.[ Student Council]

I was on a field trip last time! My high school went to the near by aquarium. It was fun... we fed the birds... with bread bowls. :D

field trips, nowadays for me, they're scarce, it's usually a trip to some enterprise ocasionally or a fun one to relax^^

I can't figure out what my worst field trip in school was. @_@;; We didn't take them that often, so... yeah. :/
My favorite was going to the zoo. I'm an hour away from a super awesome zoo. I really want to go to it again. I haven't been there since elementary school. ;_; I should ask around and see if we can get a trip out there sometime, before it gets too cold.

I'm supposed to go on a field trip to go look at rocks sometime in October or November for Geology. I'm debating if I want to do that, or if I want to be lazy and just take the lab final instead. We have to identify rocks anyway, unlike the rest of the labs, so the lab final wouldn't be so bad.

I never went on a field trip my 9th grade year, unfortunately. So I'm trying to make an effort to at least go on some this year, even though they're like, crazy expensive. I'm taking any chance I get, though. x_x. Must go on a field trip, at least one or two ;__;

Crazy expensive? How bad are we talking, if I can ask? Do you leave for a few days or something...? o__O;; I don't think I've ever been on a day trip that wasn't more than $20? It's been awhile. D:

Usually if it's an awesome field trip to go somewhere, like last year, it's around a hundred bucks(even though the trip to Tampa was $80-85, but close enough)

Yeah, I know it sucks. Which is also why I need a job. :[

Wow. That's... insane. o___O;; Does it really cost that much to go somewhere fun? ;_;

Well, apply around, and maybe you'll get one if you're lucky. :D

Personally, I never liked field trips. Then again it's been so long I can't really remember what it was like. XD
But still, you take forever to drive somewhere to see some thing, and then drive back home... yea... not really my thing.

And it costs that much to even go to Homecoming or prom. It was definitely a hundred bucks to get a ticket to prom last year. D:

o____O
O____o

I know ours was somewhat expensive, but I think it was... $50, maybe? It wasn't more than $75, at the very least. You were getting really nice prom favors for that price, right? Right? ;_;

And Homecoming was even cheaper. o__O;;

If memory serves me correctly, it now costs $140 to go on this Halloween field trip which will absolutely(and hopefully, for the price) scare the crap out of people, and for $60 get a ticket to homecoming. So the total? 200 bucks!

Don't you love how school eats your money like that? :[

Just wait until you're in college. ;D Then again, the way your high school charges things, maybe you'll get used to all the things they'll charge you for...

I'm still boggled by your school costs, though. Just... wow. That's expensive.

Seriously, I'm going to cry hard at grad. ;__; But I have like, 2 years left of high school to go through. Sounds a lot less than it already is but dang. I definitely will get a job as soon as I move though. Which will definitely improve how I'm spending my money in school, cause latley I've been missing out on a lot of things, and because crap was so expensive in my freshmen year, this sophomore year, I'd be more prepared. At least, I hope.

First off, I cut off the posts, but my AP classes didn't feel like any of my college courses. Really, it might prepare you somewhat, but if you go in thinking "it'll be just like AP!", you are going to get shot down so hard. Dual Enrollment might have it easier, but even then...

Funny. I was just reading my LJ posts about graduation (I was looking to see if I could find those prom ticket prices), and I commented "A lot of people were crying, but I didn't."

For me... I don't know. I liked high school, but I never really got into the whole experience of it all. I was never the kind of person to go out with friends, to date around, to have 'fun' like everyone else saw it. I was there to learn, and I was content with sitting in front of my locker and writing during lunchtime. I had a few friends, but I was never really close with them.

I think right now, in college, it's the first time I've really started trying to make friends. I still have a lot to go (I have to get out of the dorm more often), but any step is good. And I enjoy college more than I do high school. I like how classes work a lot better, really.

To be honest, I don't think you have to pay out $100+ a trip just so you don't feel "left out". Will this even matter two, three years from now? :/ I can understand wanting to go, but I don't think you should feel so bad if you can't afford it, either.

Then again, it's late, so I might not make that much sense.

This question is easy: My worst field trip was to a bug museum in the seventh grade. Not only did I not like bugs then, but I was terrified by most of them.

We learned that bugs are in the bread we eat. All grinded up into little pieces. Mmmm... tasty.

Not something I planned on learning while I was there, nor something I wanted to know. I vowed to never eat bread again, but that broke shortly after.

What's disgusting about eating bugs?

People eat chickens... all are God's creatures.

@ Andy: According to the bug experts, in the grinders things that grind the weat to make the bread, sometimes bugs are in there and there's really no way of seperating the bugs from the weat after they were grinded. Shame how some bugs are just stupid. When you see a huge thing coming at you at such a low speed, you should move out of the way. And you must think that bugs just make the perfect side-dish as well.

@ Nica: Y.. yes? :X

Mhm, I realised I wasn't normal long ago.

Black widow... wow, I never realised how racist that sounds. XD;
