I think Canadian Tire started out mostly as an automotive store but has branched out into all sorts of things. It's not as diverse as Wal-Mart, and it's still geared more toward home improvement and the like, but it's a pretty versatile store so it's pretty useful. :]

Some of my favourite Canadian things that aren't available in the States are Smarties and Aero bars. D: I don't know if I could ever live in the states--can you imagine? A world without Smarties. T_T;

No, XDD. We have Wal-Mart's in Canada, too.

Canadian Tire sells Automotive, Sports and Leisure, and Home Products. Many also have a garage for repairing cars in it. And they have something called Canadian Tire money, which can only be used there. XD

Of course...Walmart is everywhere XD

So like...Home Depot, Dicks, and Meinekie combined? I don't know if you have any of those in Canada =P

We've got Home Depot and that's one of the things I was considering comparing it to. XD So yeah, kind of like those, I think.

Whenever I watch hockey at my house (We have the NHL package =P)...I always saw Canadian Tire commercials and they were always so vague. Now I can be at peace XD

XD Haha, yeah, Canadian Tire commercials have this tendency to be all over the place. 8| This is Canada so one day they'll be advertising a deck for your backyard, the next, a snowblower, and the next, like... inflatable boats for the cottage by the lake. XD;

Well, I knew about Smarties not being in the US(because of some other candy that already had the rights to the name), but they don't have Aero? Wow, that's just sad....

I always got the impression that they sell a bunch of stuff...because during christmas they did commercials where the most random things flashed by. First, a tire. Then a chainsaw. Then a football. Then a tent. Then a flashlight...I was like "What don't these people sell???" XD

XDD They also sell like DVDs, toys, and whatnot. I think I bought the third Pokémon movie there last year or the year before.

Your smarties are... well, greatly inferior to ours, imo. D; Your Smarties are what we call "Rockets" I think and... yeah they suck, haha. :(

Ours are kind of like M&Ms but... they taste a lot better. XD

*Runs away crying*
XD
I never tried them but they sound good, if I ever go to Canada I will try to get some!
^.^

They're as common as any other chocolate bar here so you won't have any problem finding them. And they're so good. ♥

You guys also don't have ketchup chips, which isn't that big a deal to me, but my friend who moved to the States whines about it all the time. XD;

Yeah, no ketchup flavoured chips, no Shreddies cereal, no Clamato Juice, no Coffee Crisp....I've seen a few Americans comes over to get these things. I'm from a border town, so seeing Americans is common, XD. And I've been down there a few times, where I stock up on things we don't have. The one thing that comes to mind now is Sierra Mist soda. ^^

EDIT: Oh, and Little Debbie Honey Buns. I love those things. ^^

Ketchup....chips? Those sound quite disgusting, but I suppose one would have to try them first. I'm partial to sour cream and onion...Ketchup just sounds odd. =P

WHAT no Shreddies?? DD: I didn't know that one. Baaaw I'm never moving to the States. T_T; I love Shreddies.

Would shreddies be like Shredded Wheat? In that case...I only like the frosted kind.

I'd imagine that the U.S. and Canada would have similar foods...=/

Shreddies... are kinda like that, but not really. They're very thin.

^ That's what they look like. :D They taste really good and they're good for you so... win-win. XD They also have this hilarious new ad. They're square-shaped right? And in Canada, pretty much everyone knows Shreddies and what they look like/are. So they've been running ads for the last while about "new diamond-shaped Shreddies". Basically they just rotated them to look like diamonds and remarketed them with ads of people going like "I miss the old Shreddies! D8". I think it's hilarious. xD

For the most part, the US and Canada have the same kinds of foods. There are only a few things that aren't in both countries.

Ohhh those look like our Chex! I don't know if you guys have that either =P

Please tell me they sell Reese's Puffs up there. OMG...Best cereal ever. Imagine eating Reese's peanut butter cups in cereal form. That's how good it is XD

Yup, we've got Reese's Puffs. XD And googling Chex, I don't think we have it but it does look rather similar. :O I think Chex is like... hollow inside though? Shreddies are just completely flat.
