Gah. How could I forget I am Legend? D: That was an awesome movie too. ^^
I agree, the alternate ending was better. But the movie was still good as a whole. :D
Nah. The alternate ending was good, but he needed to die. If you read the book, the main character dies as well. Plus it made for a much better overall movie.
The book btw, is much different from the movie in all aspects. Only the general theme of vampires and the end of the world is in common... Or should I say... 'our world'. ;)
Read the book to find out more!
Really?! I thought the ending to the Mist was crazy and shocking, but I loved it. Then again.... I think I was baked when I went to see it. Twas the only time I was ever high and I saw that movie. Dunno why, just happened that way. XD
And yes, leaving you a cliffhanger. The book is outstanding.
It's one of those endings that just makes you think really. It's a sad ending, but sometimes always having a 'happy go lucky everything is going to be perfectly fine now' endings aren't always wanted or fit in.
Again, while it was sad, I felt it fit the movie perfectly and was very deep. In a weird way. :P
That's..pretty messed up actually..deus ex machina endings are definitely hit and miss... Reminds me of the book The Chrysalids...
Not only is it a DEM ending, the young girl will be raised for pretty much breeding purposes.Twilight anyone?
I don't think anyone (but me) liked that book in my class :CI love The Chrysalids. 8D Haven't read it since high school though.
Not usually a fan of DEMs though. :( Unless they're done really well, they make for disappointing endings for me. I like a steady lead-up and logical end.
