By mentioning the word neighbourhood, you've reminded me of a question I've always wanted to ask people overseas.

It seems that on TV shows, people know their neighbours. Now, is this actually true/common? I ask because here, we don't know our neighbours at all. XD
 
I know my neighbors from the past, but we have very little contact now. :[

But I'd say it's less common now than it used to be.
 
I've been in the same house for about 17 years, the people across the street, slightly longer. While we don't talk much, we do give each other the odd hello.

To say we know neighbours, is not that correct though.

Speaking of neighbours, do you watch the respective Aussie show? :P

When I was in Melbourne, there were tours to go on set, and get autographs, though I did not go on said tour.
 
I've never really known any of my neighbors. Every place I moved to, they were pretty crazy, so I suppose that gives me a reason not to know them.
 
I've always made sure to get to know the neighbors everywhere I moved. Heck, I even introduced myself to a few of the other boys in my dorm hall. XD;

Klippers is right though, it's becoming more common for people to just go about their own business and never talk to their neighbors. Sad, really.

That is mostly fabricated... Though we do sometimes borrow tools from our neighbors and settle disagreements, we don't interact as close friends, and my dad gets very little small talk with the man of the neghboring house...
I used to be close friends with the neighbor girl, but it didn't last long. xD
 
I'm not really close to any of my neighbours since I have no idea who they are and when I do see them outside, they're just layabouts.
 
Today's been pretty good. :D

Neighbours? My village is one big happy community. Pretty much everyone will do anything for someone else.

New schools aren't so bad, Ctep! I've been to a first school, middle school, upper school, college and about three workplaces. Everyone's in the same position at some point.

Speaking of VMs, the 45-second flood control limit is quite frustrating. ;o You type a reply, and then prepare to post it, do something else, forget about it, and close the window. :[

Haha, I just missed you but good luck Ctep! ;o; Starting in a new school where you don't know anyone totally sucks but it's also nice to have a fresh start so... make the best of it. 8)

wow...i just got aPM from a really random guy saying that i like a hermaprodite because i like Lady Gaga...uh, thats kinda dumb eh? Why would sombody send you a PM stating something you already know, but just to make fun of you. wow o.o

anyways, school. you guys are so lucky you have school now, i still have to wait. for some really odd reason thsi year, school starts later on, and summer is longer. im relaly bored of summer, i want school! D=
