@Luck: Exactly. Look, I will admit that I'm sounding a bit hypocritical because of my own postcount, but all of that is accumulated over 4 years' worth of posting in several areas, not just this thread.

@percentage: I'm being serious when I say this: stop the postcount obsession. As pretty as it could be sometimes, it shouldn't ever dictate the way you post; you should post actual, meaningful things.

I'm letting you know ahead of time before some staffer warns/infracts you for spam. In which case I would have no choice but to do the whole "I told you so" thing. :|

I never disagreed with you. You can have both high quality replies and still not make a wall of text. Just because quantity and quality aren't always going to go together, doesn't mean that they are exclusive.

:( I liked Bush! *waits to be shot at*

I'm listening to Fall Out Boy while I get stoned on sugar rushes from the next 8 cups of hot cocoa. ^^"

Okay, well one more, just because I thought it was funny:

I know. XD It's just that I got the feeling someone(not saying you) was going to accuse me of hypocrisy or something cause of my own postcount. So I'm just saying this in advance.
As I saw your point, even if you had a high postcount in a short period of time, it wouldn't necessarily make you hypocritical, provided you still made an effort to make high-quality posts. You're well in the clear for hypocrisy. ;D

Every human has to be prone to hypocrisy. I'd be even more of a hypocrite if I told you not to be one.

I've been here for over 5 years, yet almost no one knows who I am or what I do here.

Post count is apart of that I think.

...the reason my post count is so low for someone of my tenure is because I usually only post when answering a [scientific] question. I've found that people with thousands of posts tend to have a very low "useful/valuable content : post" ratio.

Remember that quality is always over quantity. D:

Basically. I'd rather have 100 meaningful posts than 10,000 "click mah eggs" posts. :/

Here, have some quotes from past pages cleverly juxtaposed as to make an implication.

Discuss.

I do believe quality over quanitity, but quantity is always nice. I mean, not everyone reads your posts, but people do see your post count.

Although in the past I may have preferred quantity, then changed to liking quality more... Right now, coming from my overall posting position at PC (yay second.) Basically... It's too hard to decide whether a post is good quality in my opinion. Every post has meaning and a reason, even if it is spammy. Sure the larger posts involve more thought but... a message can be expressed in much simpler terms in some cases. So I'm not really sure what I lean to now. However...

If someone posts "drugs such as cocaine are bad for you because they decrease brain function"

And someone else posts "drugs are evilllllllll and can kill you"

The latter has the same point basically too, but it's just... expressed in a different way.

That's pretty much my stance atm~

Also, I don't know anything about drugs, first thing I thought of.

It's always been quality over quantity in terms of post counts :) my post count is a little low since i don't tend to post unless I have something to share, or when I want to share my opinion.

Although at times (for other things) quantity may be better XD

Even if people had a huge quanitity, they'd have a fair amount of quality in there too.

$10 Nica used Wikipedia to find that out.

I've always thought that if you don't have something important/necessary to say, there's no point in saying anything at all.

I haven't spoken in three days. Seriously.

The internet runs contrary to logic. I should have just spammed random threads 4 years ago so that people would listen to my SCIENCE today.

What. I'm only using wiki for my school assignment. D:

And your school assignment happens to be about drugs.
