Geass is The Power of Kings, generally applied for manipulation of the mind. A Code is immortality which a Geass user can gain by evolving their Geass to the level of completion (through excessive use) and killing an individual with a Code. Once they have done so, they can only gain the actual Code and immortality by "dying" and coming back to life. Once they are alive again they have a Code and have lost their Geass power. 8D
