I see emulators, and I know that's my cue to post.

Originally I got the VBA for a Japanese Tokyo Mew Mew game (and some Japanese Mermaid Melody games). But since then, I've gotten a bunch of other emulators and roms for the heck of it - recommended games, games I can't wait to play mutter mutter PLATINUM and plenty of other reasons. So yeah XD

Eeyah, I wish I had my own laptop to type these kinds of things on ; ;

Eh, I always start hacks but get bored quickly. :/

I prefer just mapping.

Ick, I tried to hack a bit once, like a year ago. It didn't work out so well.

Heh, yeah. Their conversations are way over my head.

I know, right? I'm just like: "You make the games, I'll just stick to playing them." I don't have a creative bone in my body.

Haha, well I'm creative, just not in the "hacking" manner I guess. I've never played one either O__O

Whatever projects I do through university will be Pokemon-related. But I've never made a hack, because hacks are lame imo. I'd much rather build a game from scratch and code everything myself.

Some hacks are quite good. Like one for example, "Ruby Destiny: Rescue Rangers" is a hack of Ruby Version which is basically done in the style of the Mystery Dungeon series(Rescue team, completing missions and such.)

I also recommend to anyone to try out Pokemon Brown and Prism. (The former being a Gen I hack with an original region and Gen II and IV Pokemon added into the game) I'm sorry, I just get so excited when talk about really well made hacks. Liquid Crystal ftw.

Pokemon hacks aren't really.. Interesting to me. Like I'll go into the threads just to see what it's all about, but other than that, I don't go into that section at all.

Meh, I could never do something complicated like hacking. But they look Incredibly fun to play. I do spend a lot of time playing English fan translations.

As much as I'd like to reshape the Pokémon games in my own twisted image (100% more Bleach, Blood+, Code Geass, Death Note, Fate/stay night, Gundam, Gurren Lagann, Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Shakugan no Shana, and Strike Witches sounds like a good starting point), I don't have the time, the tools, or the skills needed.

Side note: JD has the cutest set of clickable pokemans in le siggy I've seen so far. I actually like all of those Pokémon.

I've tried out some hacks, but only some. And only when I've thought they've got interesting stories and nice, creative graphics. Generic things with journeys and/or "NEW POKEMANS!!" isn't really interesting at all, since most of the time, the new Pokémon look like crap.

Interesting (I use that word too much today ._.) exception was that hack made by... Omega something... the person with an avatar being a NEW POKEMAN!! like a bunny on a cloud. That pokédex looked pretty thorough and good even.

That is a fangame calld Pokemon Acanthite made by Fanking Omega and it is not a hack. Now Rarris you will have to survive a punishment so painful so torturing that only true madmen can handle it. You wil be put in a box to watch hours upon hours of Tellitubies. Anyway I used to play hacks and make some but then it went wrong.
