Mhmm, does something cool happen around Christmas time?
 
Not really. :( There are always at least 2 or 3 threads of the same thing though.

In Announcements there's a "Merry Christmas & what did you get as presents?" thread, people tend to use the general holiday discussion thread in Other Chat as a "what I got for Christmas" before Steve posts, and then there's an inevitable "What did you get for Christmas?" poll in OVP that goes unchecked for a long time. :(

OVP always has the same threads over and over again.
 
I think i might think of something more fun to do for it! I'll collabourate with someone and think of something. Threads are going to be blah. I'll probably be reporting a load of them lol
 
To be fair, there are only so many general questions you can ask on a forum. Mostly any decent poll has already been posted at least once.
 
Reports?

I know some mods will hate you for that...more work for them xD
 
Some mods love getting reports because their sections are so quiet. Though I don't think Signomi quite has that problem, haha.
 
Not in TCG, no. :( The old mod was inactive and was never replaced. At least it's a... pretty straight-forward forum so so long as reports are done from it, it stays pretty tidy...
 
Judging from the how the rules were before they were rewritten, apparently there used to be lots of drama. There was some capslocking in there as well as some angry "GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE" posts in the Fake Cards forum, lmao.
 
Even with the responsibility, being a mod must be pretty cool. Especially if you're the type of person who likes keeping order.

It was kind of a drama fest... then lots of the core members responsible for that ran away/got bored.
 
Was it? I admit I never, ever posted there.

Lol I remember when I first joined I wanted to mod Q&F so bad. I was so jealous when someone else got the spot on top of their normal mod job. :(
 
I never thought about being a mod. There are enough people who can do it better. d( '-' )z

At least one other member would agree with me on that point.

And this is reminding me that I want to start a project to boost activity there... like reinstating the "Card of the Day" or getting together a team of PC's "experts" (really, just a bunch of serious casual players/collectors) to write articles about various TCG-related things.
 
@donavannj: Oh, please do. That section really needs all the help it can get.

@Derrick: I don't think it's had a mod since JKaizer.
