Yeah, I'm the same way. For the first few months I was here, I wouldn't dare tell anyone I knew in real-life that I spent my free time hanging out on a pokemon forum, in fear that I'd get my ass beaten down for it.
But...Meh. I don't really care who knows I'm here now. In fact, I'm pretty sure someone I know has seen this site in my computer's internet history before when using my laptop XD;
...However, I wouldn't dare ever tell my parents >_>'

Heh, the forum aside, almost everyone I know knows I like Pokemon, XD. In fact, I got them to put 'Pokemaniac' in the description next to my high school year book photo, XDDD.

As for me...My parents just think that Pokemon ish 4Kids. XD
'Cuz my little sisters keep on watching teh anime and playing Pokemon Ranger Battonage. =P
And they'll never let me go back to the computer if my mom finds out I just go on PC all day. XDDD
My lovely grandma thinks that Harry Potter ish "bad" for you. :(
