I've always wanted to go to an anime convention. There's "Otakon" (sp?) in Baltimore every summer, but it's kind of expensive to get in. Though I suppose when (and if) I get a part-time job I can save up money for that... And also for a cosplay outfit. I was thinking of going as Sapphire/May from Pokemon, since I can't find a cosplay outfit of Ruby/Brendan >.> I was also thinking of going as someone from Team Magma...

But yeah. I heard anime conventions are fun. One of my friends is going this year as Ino from Naruto. Her mother made the outfit herself.

I've never been to a convention either. A couple of my friends always go, so I might tag along one year. I don't have as much interest in going as I used to though.

Im going to an anime convention this summer in lodon hopefully.

m going as james from TR or a Charizard im not to sure

The only "convention" I've ever been to is the Ohio Linux Fest, and that's only because it's not that far away. Any other convention that I'd be interested in going to is pretty far from here. I sometimes hate Kentucky just because it doesn't get any events, but then that goes away quickly.

I live within striking distance of FanimeCon, and I'm perfectly willing to drive six hours to Los Angeles on Independence Day weekend to attend Anime Expo. The reason why I haven't gone to either of those conventions is because I'm poor and lazy.

The only thing I'd go to a convention for is Toho stuff, which the occurance of is doubtful.
The occurance of conventions in in my country is doubtful in the first place anyway.

ZOMG, we're getting back to the talk of Touhou again? XD

I brought it up last night since I got into it while PC was down. Thanks to Digibutter... >.> A mod there told me about it and whatnot, so blame her for getting me into it XD

*yawn* I actually had luck finding this one GBA game today. It was released in 2006 in America, and the surprising thing is, when I found it, it was still new and in a box. And they re-released a better version of it for the PSP even more recently. Lucky, I guess >.> Speaking of which, I'm gonna try to get the new Fire Emblem game for the DS tomorrow. Thank you, gift cards XD

There's a social group for it too, did anyone say?

I'm the resident PC-9801 fanatic, so if you've got any queries about the first five games... ;D

Dang! I REALLY want ot go to Anime Expo. It's soo close to my apartment (Just a 30 Minute drive to downtown LA) If I'm working and can drive, I'll definitely go there. But have you seen the price for admission? *shudder*

But eh, the Anime Club's trip to Little Tokyo should suffice for now. I'll just probably stare at the cover of PokeSpe (It was shrink wrapped last time I saw Vol.28 last year) in the Kunokoniya Book store. =P
Or read manga's there. XD

Cheebz loves Touhou with all her heart. I can't blame her 'cause when she started going on about it I stole my brother's game and played it. XD; It's ruddy addicitive.

See, there's nothing exciting like an animé convention or shop here. There's one shop which sells it but isn't dedicated to it. :[

The greatest anime convention ever is and always will be in Anime North. But, that's just because the greatest people are there.

Really? That sounds pretty cool. The only one I ever heard of was Otakon, but... XD

I also remember the Renaissance Fair Maryland has. We went on the last day (actually, somebody at my school had a job there, working for the "Freelancers", who were a jousting group), and I'm still surprised my dad not only paid 40 bucks to get us in, but about another 40 bucks on food (cheesecake on a stick FTW) and souvenirs. He's a bit of a cheapskate, I have to admit (though not when it comes to my birthday or Christmas XD), but it might've had to do with the fact that I'd be moving sometime sooner or later, which I eventually did, of course.

But yeah. I've always wanted to try cosplaying, which is why I hope to be able to go to any anime convention before I graduate (not saying that I can't when I graduate, I just want to cosplay in my mid-teen years).

Yes! Anime North has so many cool people from PC going there. So, yeah, if you want to meet the cool kidz on the blox, go next year. Even more of them are planning to go!

But yeah, I'd love to cosplay as Haruhi in her school uniform. I'd look so hot in a school girl unifrom.

Unfortunately, I don't know if I can make it with the financial problems going on.

The problem with cosplay is there are no interesting-looking male characters.
Is crossdressing common at conventions?
lol I dunno, but even if it was, you wouldn't find me cosplaying any of my favourite anime ladies. XD

I mentioned Zoro earlier because he is one of the few of my favourite characters of a series who also happens to be male, XD. The only other one I can think of is Edward Elric, but he's too short for me to cosplay. =P

Hmm, Anime North...that's in Toronto, eh? I suppose I could make it this year, actually. Toronto's just a 3-4 hour bus trip from here. ^_^
