I don't really use smilies often in posts. I keep them reserved for PMs and stuff. Except for :3.
I do use stuff like ♥ frequently, though.

I used to be one of those people who would abuse smiles on a regular basis. Eventually I looked back, and realized how much of a newb I looked like typing like that, though.

Now I try and limit it down to only using "XD" when I'm actually like...laughing.
