I got my laptop in Australia at 22, otherwise, I had used our desktop computer.

I'll probably have to buy a new computer in less than 2 years though.

I have a desktop computer in my room, and my mom has a laptop for her, but, for some reason, she ends up checking her mail and playing games in my desktop all the time >_>

Well desktops are Waaayyy better than laptops so I'd expect her to use it rather than her laptop. The games bit made me laugh though xP Which games?

Remember, it depends soley on what you want your computer to do. If you have a hectic lifestlye which requires mail and surfing on the go, you wouldn't have time to go back home before you use the computer, would you? You need a Laptop for that. Desktops are for gamers or casual computer users who can wait till they get home before they do anything or need the highest grade hardware from those resource eating games.

I got my first laptop when I was 12 from my Aunt and then last September I bought myself a Macbook. And guess what. 2 weeks later. The new model came out. Same thing happened when I bought and Ipod Touch. D:
I'm 13.. I feel young too.
