I don't think Pikachu or Ash would walk away from each other, not willingly anyways. Ash brings Pikachu with him when he starts a new journey, and they've been through a lot.
But if that happened the pokemon world wouldn't be safe anymore, not with a super powered Pikachu on the loose.

I know a ton of people who remember Charizard from the show but have no clue who Dawn is. By your logic then, Charizard is more of a main character still.

Charizard's not even in yhe show anymore, and it wouldn't make sense to bring him back when there are other powerful dragon flying types that have repleaced him.

I loved Movie 2 over all of them. And also, Forever's right, at any time Charizard might come back. If I remember correctly, it did during the Battle Frontier.

That's true angel. After looking at Serebii's page, you can see there's more than a few pokemon at Oak's lab. XD

If I recall correctly, Charizard did come back to Ash a couple times during his Battle Frontier challenge. I dunno if he's appeared afterwards.

I personally think the main character should be an Eevee with the ability to change into any of the original three Eeveelutions if it touches the elemental stones. It can still change back into an Eevee when put back in its Poke Ball, though.
