The Dark Side of Pokemon

    *Inspired by KirbyChu's and OblivionReaper's comments in the If Pokemon Were Real thread.*

    Quite simple: We all know how the Pokemon world can be a wonderful paradise where trainers are real trainers, breeders are real breeders, and criminals from ecoterrorist cults seeking to destroy the world are real criminals from ecoterrorist cults seeking to destroy the world. But what happens if we looked a little deeper... and realized that many of the things we take for granted could go terribly wrong? What if, beneath that pristine image of a shining utopia, was a world in decay? Would we truly be able to live in such a world, or would we just be a face stomped down by the boot of dystopia?

    For all my fellow members who are willing to look into the darkness and wonder just what could go horribly wrong - or horribly right - feel free to share your revelations on the hidden terrors of this world...

    As i'm walking through the forest i come upon a city where the buildings were smashed and there were no people.Just as i was about to leave i hear a piercing screech from something
    An animal? no a mutated beast? no wait could it possibly be?
    a different noise is heard this one more piercing then the last
    It couldn't possibly be but wait it is.
    as i look up there in the sky were palkia and dialga fighting all out but this was not what i expected them like for dialga's skin was dark blue and his orb was cherry red.
    Palkia had a pale skin color and his orb was green.
    there's only 1 answer they are primal.
    just as i was going to run a dark shadow appeared in front of me
    Shadow Darkrai
    Darkrai:"You will not leave you will join the others inside the dimension of Armagedceus"
    Rocky:"And who is this Armagedceus"
    Darkrai:"our shadow leader"
    as darkrai transforms into a black hole and inside is arceus wait no not arceus it looks like him but his skin is black and his yellow rings are white and he has no life plates except dark,poison,and a new plate has been added it is grayish and disfigured it was a Shadow plate. As I try to run i get sucked inside where there was Armagedceus
    Armagedceus:"It Is TiMe!.!.!.!.
    he spoke corrupted
    Rocky:"time for what"
    Armagedceus:"JuDgEmEnT.!.!.!.!.!
    Rocky:"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!"
    As Arceus charges up a beam something swoops in and saves Rocky
    Rocky:"Lugia!"
    Lugia:"Yes now hold on this is gonna be a bumpy ride"
    Rocky:"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
    As rocky falls off lugia and plunges into the ground unconscious...
     
    Wow I inspired someone...What You say is true my friend that pokemon would ultimatly turn our beloved earth into ruin...
     
    Copy pasta ftw?

    • Casualties of war would have a much larger count.
    • They would eventually kill off real animals because of their superior survival skills.
    • They would cause disaster to humans such as power outages, earthquakes, fires, and floods.
    • Criminals would would obtain immense power.
    • People would begin to crossbreed them.
    • "Madden Pokemon 09!"
    • A POed legendary would force everyone into bomb shelters.
    • Humans would find them too dangerous, and there wouldn't be any Pokemon before long.
    • To all of you who say you're going to be bigshot trainers and such, your fun would end when a stray Pokemon paralyzes you or something along those lines.
    • Zoo Keepers' jobs would be a lot more interesting.
    • We'd have to ship massive amounts of water out to space to ensure we don't drown.
    • Assuming in-game egg groups would be carried over, Wailord+Diglett=Giant whale moles digging around under cities, potentially sinking New York.
    • The amount of furries in the world would sky rocket.
     
    The only dark side I know of is those who abuse and control pokemon against their will so that they can dominate and so on and so forth. Wars are a thing of a past in their world.
     
    If their was a dark side of Pokemon...then it would be exactly like the anime. Dont you realize that every episode crazed bad guys are trying to steal from Ash? That he is sometimes fighting against big armies (like Team Galactic), that are abusing Pokemon to take over the world? Thats pretty bad to me.
     
    Duh, if your pokemon use poisonpowder or stun spore and it accidently got on you. then just go look for a pecha berry or a cheri berry. lol
     
    I can imagine Probopass chasing me around... After i shove something enormous up those big nostrils...

    If Pokémon were real, it would have its good ends and bad ends. For the bad ends, they can weigh off to be pretty heavy. Abundant crimes could easily be committed as well as worse. However, that isn't to say our armed forces who's duty it is to serve their countries and protect wouldn't be equally strong or even stronger. Though, you couldn't depend on them alone, the Pokémon themselves who are wild or untamed can be equally dangerous to people as well, but then again we have our own Pokémon.

    The darker side is deep and it can easily outweigh the good side of Pokémon being real. Of course, we live in reality and not the anime, so that pretty much sums it all up for that idea.
     
    I always love thinking about the dark side of Pokemon.

    Here's my list of things:

    • Of course there will be a Pokemon type of PETA that believe fighting is bad.
    • Pokemon furries of course....ugh.
    • Pokemon fighting to the death clubs
    • Pokemon will always be stolen...like Team Rocket.
    • Wild Pokemon will be vicious.
    • Blacking out will NOT take you back to the Pokecenter...who knows what (or who) may find you...
    • If you aren't in a group and something bad happens out in the middle of nowhere...you're screwed.
    • Cave accidents
    • Your Strength/Flash Pokemon faints in a cave
    • You won't always be given money so freely!
    • Surfing hell. (Riding on the back of a Pokemon for days in the water? Really?)
    • HAY GAIZ, LET'S AWAKEN SOME LEGENDARIES THAT CONTROL THE GROUND, THE WATER, TIME, AND SPACE. LET'S SEE WHAT CHAOS CAN ERUPT.
     
    Wild Pokemon are dangerous to humans. Why, Even a Rhyhorn can trample them flat or pierce them with its horns.

    Speaking of Pokemon centers, would they really go through the hassle of curing your Pokemon for free? I'd assume they'd cost as much as a trip to the vet.

    As I argued before, the Pokémon world is probably socialist. So who pays for most of the medical care in socialist countries such as Denmark, Sweden, and Norway? The state with its high taxes. The answer is probably the same in the Pokémon world for both humans and Pokémon.

    Another reason why pokemon should not exsist in the real world

    Palkia comes and grabs him. Palkia: Awanken. You shall be safe with me. They Ghost Giratina comes and atacks Palkia.

    The notion of this being bad is new to me, but then I wasn't indoctrinated into following any particular economic ideology.
