The Dog Ate It~

Wow, this reminds me of something.

Back in the day while I was in Grade 4 I would lie to my teacher and tell them that my mom was going to drop off my homework so they would make me wait in the office, I would stay there 'waiting for my mom' and they would forget about me, and I would do my homework there.

Thats an awesome excuse if you had dumb teachers like me...

I rarely miss one. If I do, I'll just copy my classmate's assignment to mine.

This is mine when I missed one last 3 months ago. "I was doing something else much more important..."

I just simply say "I forgot it at home". I've only ever had to do that once though and I got away with it so I'm lucky.

"I left it at home!"

Works like a charm.

"Printer broke"
"I'm pretty sure that's it not a crime"
"I HAD IT RIGHT HERE IN MY BAG! SOMEONE MUSE HAVE STOLEN IT!" *look of horror on face*

Actually those are the excuses i would use if all the teachers remembered we had homework O.o

I almost never forget homework anymore. I just purposefully do it the day that it's due before the period XD;. I find that I have no time to myself at home, so I cut off a homework assignment now and then so I can get the right amount of sleep. I haven't not had homework for a class in a very long time. I've always had it done beofre the period that it was due.

However, once this year already it went missing. I actually didn't finish it (I started it the day before) but I had worked hard on it and I was upset in class when it was gone from my folder. I have the same teacher this year as I did last, so I begged to him to show him the work later and he knew that I was telling the truth. So that happened this year :3.

I remember once in fifth grade where I was doing my homework when my cousins took their socks off and jumped on my binder (they were three and two years old at the time). I put it off until later, but forgot about it. The next day, my excuse was that my cousins were rubbing their feet on my homework so I couldn't do it. I had to fill out a piece of paper and put it in the lame excuses jar. DDD:

Procrastination is what I do best- PC provides the perfect medium for it too.

Even though I'll put an assignment off as long as I possibly can, I tend to find a way to complete it by the time my class rolls around. I don't know why, but I have the uncanny ability to work really fast under incredible pressure and stress. While also losing what little sanity I once had, I might add.

So, I never really have to come up with an excuse that often. Even if I did, my professors and instructors wouldn't accept it anyhow.

To be totally honest, I have always gotten my assignments, projects, homework, etc. in on time when due. I tend to be a student who cannot stand failing, I have to pass or else I'll feel disappointed in myself as I know I could do better. However, have I ever forgotten to bring it to school every blue moon or the next, then yes that has happened to me maybe once or twice. Though, I did do it and I would usually bring it in the next day and either recieve full credit or lose a few points off, depending on how nice the teacher may be. :P Though, I do my homework all the time, and when it comes to long term projects I finish it the first weekend I get it and have it sit in my room until due.

If I do happen to procrastinate though, then my excuse would probably be, "Oh...I forgot!" but it really be because I spend too much time here. xD

I would say that my dog actually hate my homework before. When I was surfing around the islands of Hawaii for the evening, my dad called me and he said that the dog was eating my homework. I was worried there for a minute so I headed back to my house and I saw my homework gone from my textbook. Later on that night, we took my dog to the medical center and the doctor said... "good news, your dog actually ate your homework". When he said that, I was mad at the dog. :)

Probably "I forgot to do it" or "I left it at home". To be honest, I'm a boring person, and typically my homework was done before class. Those were the only excuses I ever had for not doing homework. I'd procrastinate and then bs my way through assignments, if I didn't really want to do them.

I don't think there was ever such unusual circumstances with my homework that I had to make up a wonderful excuse or explanation for it. Which, now that I think about it, is incredibly lame.
