"If you touch my food, you are so going to die" I said, though I stopped growling. Deciding he wasn't really enough to be a threat, I returned to eating, though making sure the chunks were small enough to be swallowed easily if I had to attack...

ooc: my character knows yours because we were allon the mountain top together. And judging by the ay the story started, we should all know each others names! :D My character is named jack, which come tothink of it isn't that great a name. Donovan sounds better. :D

ic: i was somewhat dazed by the sudden flurry of attacks Nat had let loose. " Crimson, come here!" The little dragon walked over. He flew up onto my shoulder.

" she seems sad."

"wha? When did you learn to talk?"

"I've been listening to your language, and I think I figured it out. listen to me: 'wow! Cool!' how am I doing?"

"Great." I smirked. This wa one hyperactive little dragon!

"I don't need to eat those things, I get what I need from here." I said, tapping one foot on the ground. I sat down, and looked around some at this bright place, but eventually my eyes wandered back to the black dragon.

"Good, because what I'd do to you.. sufface to say it wouldn't be pretty" I said, as the size of the chunks I was swallowing increased to the point where sometimes I had to use my acid to be able to eat it.

Since no one answered her, Nat walked to the edge of the trees they had exited. She sat down, idly tossing her staff from hand to hand.

A tear streaked down her face, the death of her mother being played behing her eyes.

The scream, the blood, the face of the worm.... Nat knew it would always haunt her.

Cal reached up his ferret like body and licked Nat's cheek with a forked toung. This caused the ghost of a smile to form around the girl's lips.

"Why don't you go and eat something?" Nat said, gesturing to the carnage around her.

"I don't think so," the tiny blue dragon said audibly. "That seems awefully barbaric to me..."

Nat was shocked that the dragon had spoken aloud, but smiled. She too was a vegitarian, and was pleased that her dragon shared the interest.

She reached into the bag on her back and pulled out a carrot, allowing the dragon to eat it.

"That's good!" the infant said, chomping on the orange vegetable.

OOC: Sorry if you wanted all the dragons to chow down on the worms... but I'm a vegitarian in real life and don't exactly feel like my characters chomping down on worm flesh....

ooc: i wasn't exactly into it either, but Dragon's eat the weirdest things. :D"

ic: "So... How was your worm breakfast?"

"Tasted Terrible."

"Then why did you eat it?"

"I was just born, and I was starving. When your that hungry, your not picky!"

I saw Nat sitting down nearby with her dragon and walked over to her.

"hey." i said softly. "YOu okay?"

Once I finished another chunk, i noticed the other dragon was still there and I asked tempermentally "any particular reason you're still hanging around?"

Nat nodded silently. "It's not every day one sees their only loving parent get washed down the gullet of a monster," she said bitterly.

She shook her head, not wanting to sound too depressed. "Where do we go from here, Jack?" she asked quietly.

"You're kidding me right?" I said as I finally filled my stomach, which was after eating over half the worm. "There are thousands of places you could take off to."

Celeste smiled. "It's not something you'd expect."

She paused, thinking. She took a look at Cal, her grey eyes softening.

"In all honesty, I'm thinking we should stay on the mountain for awhile and train," she said, tossing her long black hair away from her face. "We won't be able to take on any evil dragons if we don't even know the extent of our powers, as well as our dragon's," she voiced quietly, shocked that she had spoken so much. She never talked that much.

"You're right, I could go somewhere else, but why? I don't have anyone to see, nothing to do." I explained, digging up some more soil.

OOC: just wondering, but how many dragons eat dirt?

ooc: Congrats, Shiney! you are the first dragon to ever eat dirt! Give youreslf a pat on teh back! :D

ic: " Sounds like a plan." i smiled sadly. " Probably a good idea. We can't just go rushing out with no idea what we're up against. That would just lead to more innocent people getting hurt."

"Good point." I said, and went back to digging, when I found something hard. I pulled it out, and it looked almost to be made out of glass. It looked transparent, but it was actually black, and my teeth couldn't break it.

OOC: let me re-phrase the above OOC, how many dragons does FT's character know of that eat dirt?

OOC: kinda like asking how many dragons you know that eat giant killer worms and think they taste like chicken.

IC: I heard the clang as his claws hit something, and I was interested, but I decided not to bother the burrower dragon..

Nat smiled, rising. She looked to Cal. "It's too bad you're so small," she said to the tiny blue Dragon. "It'd be easier to take on evil if I could ride you..." she trailed off.

"Oh contrare," Calamous said quietly. He closed his eyes in concentration, and began to grow!

His tail and body stretched out, his head grew, his whiskers got longer. He opened his eyes, now the length of a boa consticter, but as thick as an apple tree. He smiled at her and said two words:

"Hop on!"
