It can help humans by using its enormous strength to move things, like say trees or stuff if clearing land. Also, Snorlax can act as a ferry, due to its large body surface area and the ability to swim a.k.a Surf.

yes. in wars, people could just use snorelax' bodyslam/rest to beat the enemy
