The Elimination Challenge!

2nd Update

• Beat everyone on the beach at Slateport training up Ferric.
• Went and cleaned out Team Aqua from the museum, Had a scare with ferric who dropped to 3 hp, Pulled through though like a champ and grew to lvl 15
• Decided to go through the Trick house and disaster nearly struck down both Ferric and Vi! I nearly cried but Kylar subbed in pulled through killing the Marill and Skitty. Trick House finished with Ferric on lvl 16
• Saw May, looked at my party and decided i didnt want to lose anyone yet so turned around and ran away like a little baby.

Went back to May,

• Ferric beat Lombre, She sends out Marshstomp, I reply with Kylar. Double kick her once, does a crit doing over half hp. one she uses water gun. 1 hp left on Kylar Double kick again and kill Marshstomp just, nearly crying. Ferric finishes off Slugma and I teleport back to Slateport to worship Kylar for living for me.
• Went around Mauville beating the trainers and raising my pokemon
• Beat Wally with Vi. Trained a little bit more and went to Verdanturf Town.
• Went back and got a bike and trained down cycling road
• Vi evolve into Kirlia at lvl 26 after learning Psychic.:)
• Decided theres no time like the present and charged into the Mauville gym
• Last double battle of the trainers in my way and Ferric got double teamed and only survived with 3 hp :S
• Wattson sucks. Nearly Killed my whole team, Vi - 1 hp - Ferric - 1 hp - Kylar - 13 hp Vi got lucky with her surviving i believe.. so did Ferric, Was surprised he didnt drop but good old Kylar Did it for me again! Love that guy :)
• Sadly while challenging the Winstrates Ferric got OHKO'd by the old lady's Meditites Hi jump kick :( Though he was useless anyway..
• Went through the cave and beat all the trainers to the soot fields.
• While battling a little ninja Vi grew to level 30 and evolved into my beautiful Gardevoir
• Went to meteor falls and scared off team magma with team aquas help.. (like i needed it though, team magma was running scared!)
• Jumped out down near Rustboro town and beat some trainers and got some berries.
• Teleported back to Falabour town with Vi's help.
• Ran to Mt. Chimney! Had to have a breather once I got there, bloody big run there.
• After resting up and having a little break decided Id go and pwn team magma, 1 Hit them all then 1 hit Maxie as well, hes an epic noober.
• Walked through the Lavaridge gym with Vi.

Flannery:

• 1 hit all her pokemon with Psychic. Pretty boring really.
• Finally got the go-goggles and went hunting for a trapinch.

• Went to the mirage sandcastle and caught Durzo the trapinch
• Hit head against wall when i read post from Hacki, though bonus that durzo was holding soft sand!
• Saved in the tower.

Hehe! Oh well, you can still have Salamence if Trapinch never evolves into a Vibrava! As jespoke says, it will be hard to train without it dying, I had the same problem with Vanillite.

Thanks Hacki, never got to see half your messages because of school, which, speaking of, has only got two weeks left :). Looking forward to that. I haven't actually played anything today, been on the computer all day. Btw, Hacki, I can't use random generator, I'm using AR DS, which is all complicated-y, so, yeah...they come with natures the same as wild ones would normally. So, completely random, so I don't need any nature changing stuff, ya know?

Alrighty then, see it's different for me, I play on actual games instead of emulator, so, yeah... In other news, I'm training outside Oreburgh. Gonna train Magikarp to at least Tackle, maybe even to evolution! Nearly had to lose someone to Bide, thank God for Mach Punch!

Everyone hates Durzo already :( He hasnt even had a chance to show his frailness either.. :( But yeah if he cant even hold himself together for 15 levels ima go get me a bagon.

Oh, I play on my actual carts when they are available but use my r4 for 4th/5th gen and I rarely put lower than 4th gen atm.

Durzo, if he survives the whole challenge will get an honourable mention ;) maybe 'the one that defied all odds' award.

Speaking of which I will have to get round to mentioning jespoke's team on the first page.... any awards you can think of jespoke (not MVP/LVP but original)??

Still grinding Magikarp, was a beautiful day today, so spent quite a bit of time oustside. I wouldn't have (I'm an inside person), but my dad kicked me out the house :disappoin. Anyway, I'm gonna post a planned team, and a back-up team:

Alright I started Emerald:

3rd update! Im updating every 2 gyms

Spoiler:

• So grinded Durzo for SOOOOOO long while getting him to evolve into Vibrava :)

• Then I decided to go beat down Dad and ran back to Petalburg where I evolved Kylar into a Blaziken by taking down all the gym trainers

Dad:

• Decided to level up Vi so had her go out first.
• She OHKO'd all of Dads pokemon.
• Went and caught ***** the zigzagoon and taught it surf :)

After Dad:

• Made my way to the weather institution beating all trainers who opposed me!

May:

• One hit her whole team.
• Went to Lilycove, training on the way.
• Teleported back to Fortree and 1 hit all the trainers up to Winona

Winona:

• 1 hit Swablu With Psychic
• 1 hit Pelipper with Psychic
• 1 hit Tropius with Blaze Kick
• 1 hit Skarmory with Blaze Kick
• 2 hit Altaria with Dragonbreath thanks to a crit :) and the 6th badge is mine muahahahahaha

Post 6th Badge:

• Beat Team Aqua in their base, went to mossdeep and got my super rod and went hunting for Feebas!
• 6 ingame hours later I catch Feebas and name her Karris.
• Spend halfa making good pokeblocks for her and got her beauty maxed
• Evolved her into Milotic with a rare candy and taught her Surf.
• Trained her in Team magma base as I kicked them outta the volcano.

Saved Back in Mossdeep.

not getting critted or super effective against.

Darksualc, welcome to the challenge/thread! Good luck with your adventure through Hoenn... interesting that you 2 both chose Ralts. You shall be added to the challengers list.

Zeus, nice team, hopefully you wont have to dip into your reserves, although you have too many Pokemon for my liking! I may take the 5th optional rule away as it spoils the challenge in my opinion. Thoughts? people who are already using it can still use it though.

Hacki, he was grinded like abesolute crazy! haha going pretty good when he evolves hell be a beast! Yeah good old speed button got me there and Ive always wanted a run through with a Milotic! God they are so strong :) Should be done in a couple of days :)

I think you shouldn't force them to think of an award, as it can result in really stupid awards :l

But letting the winners submit their own awards is a good idea, and having them get the same awards as the others (If they fit) is my good idea :P

Added to the challengers list, but I am confused with your last paragraph. I think you mean if you lose against the first battle you can carry on regardless, which is acceptable as the pre-game talks are sooo boring and all you have done is lose exp.

Btw, added Zeus to failures list as h fainted to Barry, which I read but then forgot to put on first post :P Remember, by beating the challenge on the same game you will be removed from the failures list ;)
