3rd Gen The elite four discussion

if you can't beat them, then the bottom line is, you need to train more. To be frank, they really aren't that hard, and you don't even need strategy to beat them. if you are struggling, you need to train a lot more, and then you will realize how easy they are.

Eh,i don't really see much point of this thread.

You just need tough pokemon. like in Emerald just use the Ubers if you are desperate.XD.

uh sorry dude but you can't make posts like that the mods will get on you for it - its called SPAM (Stupid Pointless Annoying Message). Just fyi, cause the mods don't like it.

Yes that was Spam, master rayquaza.

Back on topic, it's very easy to beat the Elite Four. All you have to do is to train your Pokemon alot and also know all the Pokemon types and weaknesses and you'll be fine.

I beat the leauge in FR easily. You must have your starter to be around level 70. I also suggest catching the legendary birds and training them to level 60. Then the league will be easy. That's how I beat it.

You really don't even need the birds to be at 60 if you picked Charizard and it has D Claw. Zapdos is the only good bird anyway. You also need a psychic though.

heres what i'd do for the elite four:
#1: Electabuzz/raichu/manetric/[kecleon] no birds since birds are weak against ice

#2: any water/fire(for the first two)/psychic pokemon/kecleon, gohst pokemon work
well here after the steelix

#3: mostly fire, i would recommend vulpix/charizard(not really, since agatha has thunderbolt)kecleon(with t-bolt n flamethrower if it can learn it)

#4:mostly a lapras(with ice beam), but in the beginning, use electabuzz, then switch to kecleon for kingdra and use psychic, then switch to lapras since after kingdra is all dragons.

Champ:mostly a elemental kecleon with ice beam, flamethrower, psychic, and t bolt.

recommendation: i would recommend LOTS AND LOTS of full restores and revives, like mostly about 20, and the pokemon should be at lvl 70-100 while kecleon should be about 10 levels above the others... but this is what i juss say

well the second time after the islands quest could be challenging but with all the experience from the islands and if you balanced your pokemon then it shouldnt be much of a difficulty :D

why the elite 4 is already easy

best team to use for elete 4 LG

Electric-raichu/jolteon

Water-lapras/starmie/blastoise

Psychic-jynx,alakazam,hypno

Flying-dodrio,pidgeot,fearow

Ice-jynx,dewgong,clyoster,lapras

Ground-Dugtrio,Golem,Rhydon

Grass-venusaur,victrebelle

Fighting-hitmonlee,primate,machamp

Dragon-dragonite

Fire-charizard,flareon

Normal-tauros,snorlax

Lol, no, really now, anyone who's gotten ta 'em could just stockpile on Hyper/Max Potions an' Revives an' would have no trouble overthrowin' 'em with his/her strongest pkmn. ^^;;

o.O

It's just 4 (or 5) in-game battles in a row...nothing hard. Level advantage is all you ever need for any in-game battle. Type hardly ever matters unless the opposing Pokey has 4x resistance (or was it 2x..whatever) to your attack (like using a Grass type attack agaisnt a fire and flying type) or if you're using, respectively, Electric/Normal vs Ground/Ghost.

Okay I don't play Emerald so I just like to know..Uber?
Is it like Rare Candy?

- Okay well For Lorelei, obviously just electric pokemon, and fire four Jynx and Piloswine

- For Bruno, use water or fire for the steelix's and psychic or flying for the rest of his guys...But his hitmontop knows detect I'm pretty sure..So using fly on it can be a pain cause he uses detect while you're up in the air

- For Agatha all her types are poison/_____ so just use psychic types

- For Lance I find if you use ice types it's alot easier

- Now, for Gary. His first pokemon is Heracross..so fly will take it out, because it has a double weakness. He usually sends out Exeggutor next so fire/flying/ice moves would be good. In my game he sends out Alakazam next so dark moves are appropriate. Then he sends out his Arcanaine or Blastoise so water/electric type moves and then you are the Champion.

Goodluck:P

"Uber" Pokemon are mainly the "legendary" ones since most of their stats are above average. It also inludes some other non-legendary Pokemon that are very strong/useful/hard to kill/unfair with the right stuff.

Oh lol. The way he phrased it, I thought it meant use Rare Candies (Ubers) if you are deperate to level up your pokemon fast. Atleast I learned something today.
