6th Gen The Elite Four

i liked what they did on BW/B2W2...
I think they should mix-up what they did on the previous games with the BW series meaning you will have the ability to pick who you want to fight first with there levels gradually increasing. They can do this by making the next E4 you are facing say "I saw your match with E1, seeing how strong you are i have prepared my strongest pokemons" or something like that.
I'm surprised they didn't do that already, it's simple enough to do with variables and conditional branches. In fact, by my knowledge, it's already done with variables so adding conditional branches into it would be easy I presume (going by my knowledge of how RPG Maker works XD).

I would definitely love to see this happen!
That way one can chose his path, but the battles would still be harder (:
and i liked this method over the pre-determined path, although i wouldn't
mind if they change it back to the "old" way

My only complaint with the Gen V Elite Four is that they didn't get stronger, thus resulting in the highest leveled Elite Four and an average level champion in BW2. No first Elite Four member has had Pokemon at lv56-58 before, but lv57-59 was just pathetic.
Should have been this in BW (with each Elite Four member being two levels higher than the last).
Spoiler:

Rematches should be 20 levels higher, with Aldler having Pokemon lv78-80
In BW2, the Elite Four's levels should have been 2 levels higher with the teams being the Challenge Mode rosters. Iris should have had these guys.
Spoiler:

Rematches being 20 levels higher but 18 levels higher for Iris, Druddigon and Lapras being replaced with Dragonite and Salamence.

Yeah i agree with your idea, they should have had increasing levels.
And please please give each of the E4 members five pokemons at least...
I don't get why they only have 4, after all they are the best out there, the final challenge of the game...4 Pokemon just doesn't cut it

They should give the Elite 4 a full team of 6 Pokemon and at 2 different types to make things more challenging, as well as leveling up for each member along with "Choose a trainer" option. I would love to see a Water-type user in the Elite Four again because that type has been used once, by Wallace when he was the Champion in Emerald. I just hope that GF don't use the types used already in Gen V. This is what I wish the Elite Four to be:

-Water/Electric
-Dragon/Ice
-Grass/Poison
-Flying/Steel

Champion: Variety

-Dragon/Psychic/Dark/Fairy Trick Room team

I love the idea of strategies instead of types.

I agree with everything you said, and having a water-type would be nice.
I just hope they use all new types for the E4, not the usual Fighting - Ghost - Psychic - Dragon
And I've thought about the 2 type thing too a while ago, would definitely be more interesting

Strategies insted of types would be a nice change, but i think it's rather unlikely

Most of Gen V would have been considered unlikely during speculation time :P

jw but in the original trailer, does anyone else think that the fire area that explodes into fire is the E4 room, and therefore the champion is actually a Fire-type user?

It didn't really look like an Elite Four room to me, but of course it's possible. I wouldn't mind it either, since it'd mean that we'd have a lot more Fire types in the region (at least, I hope, we know what Sinnoh did). It looks like a cool room though, so a Fire Elite 4 member is good by me!

I like the idea of each Elite Four member being based of a stat with each member specializing in one of the four being HP, Attack, Defence and Speed, similar to Normans Gym in RSE.

I actually kind of like this concept. I'd allow for type diversity, and it'd be an interesting concept. Maybe having one in Attack, Special Attack, both Defenses, and Speed would be a cool concept to have. HP itself isn't really much to work with, so if anything I'd see it bunched in with the Defenses category. Although I don't really think that leaves much room for the Champion to do much. I mean they could just have a standard team with some base strategy (kind of like the HGSS rematches did) instead of focusing on one type. Not have ridiculously hard AI, but they'd be smart enough to make some switches if it'd be obvious, or set up some preliminary entry hazards.

I still rather us have a tournament like in the show, before facing the Elite Four... Also I want the Elite Four to be based on stats and not really a type...

HP/Defenses - Steel/Water
Attack - Fighting/Fire
Sp. Attack - Psychic/Grass
Speed - Electric/Sound
Champion - Light/Dark

Well if they specialised in stats, there would be no specified type for each member which would be much better IMO. The battle cafe in Platinum used a similar strategy for the trainers you assisted through out the game, Cheryl using Pokemon with high HP such as Blissey, Wobbuffet, Drifblim etc Marley using Pokemon with high speed such as Ninjask, Electrode, Arcanine and so on.

I feel like that's something I'd see moreso in the Elite Four rematches. With the AI buffed up a bit in those (akin to HGSS), they'd actually have the ability to at least set up and use some sort of strategy. I guess it'd still be limited to the typing that they are more than likely to use, so I guess it would be a bit more challenging at least.
