I re-wrote an RP I made a long time ago. This is it. No, I don't feel like writing a forward as to what it's about, too bad.

    ___

    The End

    The Rules:

1). There is to be no God-modding at all. I am extremely strict on stuff like this.

2). Cursing is allowed, just don't overdo it.

3). I want good posters. That means that I want people with proper grammar, that will be committed to this, and remember, people, posts have to be more than four paragraphs long.

4). Please make your sign-ups are decent, If they aren't, you will probably be denied.

5). Please refrain from flaming other posts, constructive critisism is allowed.

    The Plot:

War is never worth having, all it does is create deaths and destruction, and nearly brings the next generation of humans to extinction. The problem is; some people can't quite realise that, and the Pokèmon world is about to realise the consequences of this.

There are four regions in the world of Pokèmon, each containing their own government, their own Pokèmon and their own people. Some governments suffer corruption, and Kanto is one of those governments.

Satoski Masawoti is the current Prime Minister of Kanto, and last night called a state of alarm throughout the Country. President April Maywah had been shot dead a couple of hours beforehand by a drug gang that ran the drug empire within Kanto. Troops have been deployed everywhere. Police seem to have multiplied since last night. Kanto has already asked for the help of Johto, its closest ally. There have been rumours flying round that the same drug gang are now planning to kill the Elite Four and the various Gym Leaders scattered throughout the region. Children as young as ten are travelling the Country for Gym Battles and without any adult supervision, they could be killed or kidnapped easily.

Johto knows all of this already, but the country has enough to deal with; there have been reports for the last few weeks that an unknown organisation have created a master plan that will allow them to capture all of the Legendary Pokèmon possible, and they plan to execute it tomorrow. Normally a claim such as this would be dismissed as nonsense, but it was spoken by a certain Professor Theodore Elm, a widely respected man throughout the world. When he was asked for evidence, however, he was unable to respond properly and told the people listening to his lecture at Mahogany College that he needed time. The Professor left and began to drive home, it has been reported, but he never made it home. His wife phoned the police and said he was missing after he should've arrived home six hours beforehand and wasn't answering any of her calls. The present time is forty-two minutes past six, exactly three hours after he was reported missing, and nothing has surfaced that might give a hint to his whereabouts. This has stirred up the opinions of people that were at his lecture, and one bright person wanted to know if there was another reason that he was abducted, than if he had given away some crucial information.

Hoenn had never been a wealthy country, and there was a lot of fights breaking out on the streets, often resulting in the death of many, as these fights evolved into riots within minutes. Some would say that no one was running the country, seeing as the president hadn't been seen alive for two weeks and the public wanted to know where he was. He could be dead, or he could have run away from his duties, but no answers are being given. The region is collapsing and no one is trying to stop it happening.

Sinnoh, on the other hand, is doing the best out of all four regions. It has a stable government and the Pokèmon that are in the possession of trainers are mostly strong and worthy of winning battles. The problem with Sinnoh is that it's getting too big for its boots, and it refuses to help its neighbours, even in the slightest way. Because of this, Hoenn is ready to declare war on Sinnoh, in order to try to take over its government and, ultimately, take over the region itself. The officials of Sinnoh aren't worried by that, though. No, they're worried by a slightly bigger problem, in their eyes, anyways. A creature has seemingly been found on a meadow. The legendary Pokèmon, Shaymin, has been discovered, and now the whole population wants it.

The time is forty-two minutes past six in the evening and the clock is ticking. Something crazy is about to happen, and no one wants to be there when it does. A war is about to break out. The end is near.

So where do you come in?

You are a kid, travelling throughout your native region in search of Gym Battles and Pokèmon. Some would call it an adventure, but no, your real adventure begins on a dark, March night, at forty-two minutes past six precisely. Because that is when you see the report for the first time, whether you're in a Pokèmon Center or someone's house, you see the video reports of people trying to capture Shaymin. Do you go after it, or do you leave it to the world of politics and wait for something else? It's your decision.

Denied. Grammar, personality, appearance, biography and realism are all horific. How does a Poke ball say something? Honestly, there was no thought put into that. And the movesets scared me. Your Dratini was so obviously hacked. Don't bother fixing it, I'm looking for RPers slightly more advanced than you.

    Age: 14

    Gender: ♂

Personality: Patrick is rather calm, and intelligent. He does have an angry side to him, however, only towards any wrong-doings going on. He too, is a confident trainer, never doubting victory or encouraging the opponents defeat in any battling situation. Despite all these serious emotions, Patrick still has a highly laughable sense of humor, telling jokes whenever he has the opportunity.

Oni, dude, I hope you don't mind if I do a placeholder. I will finish the rest of it tonight, because I have to get off now before getting attacked by family members >:

You know what's odd? I forgot to ask for an RPing sample in the sign-up. Well, now you all know that I want one. And, yeah, Pat, just make sure you finish it, m'kay?

    Name: Marcus
    Age: 14
    Gender: Male
Personality: A loud-mouthed rebelious teenager, who has to have the last word. He always has a one liner to say, weither he is in a bad or good situation. He loves battleing with his pokemon and loves them very much. He is usually quite around people when he first meets them, but as he gets to know them, he opens right up. He isn't afraid to stand up for himself though, that is something he has always done, stood up for himself, and everything he believes in. He does this because of one thing his father said when he was young, and it always stayed with him, "You are the only person who can fight for what you believe in, becasue no one else will care what you believe in."

Appearance (twelve lines or whatnot): He stands at 5' 4", wearing a very punkish attire. His attire consiting of green plaid skinny jeans, a green t-shirt that has a jolly roger on it, and his shoes are a pair of green converses that have the words "Die, Die, Die my darling..." writen on them in black sharpie. He has a very small build and really dosen't appear that strong. He has two wristbands on, one of them green, with a fiend skull on it. The other one it black, and has rows of green pyramid studs.

His hair is something a bit out there, considering his love for punk music, his hair is a small green mohawk, a very messy mohawk to be exact. He has only two piercings on his body, one ear, and one lip. the pircing in his ear has a green cross, and his lip is just a green loop. His eyes have a pair of contacts in them, the contacts make his eye a neon green to match the rest of his attire.

History/Biography (What did he do and how did he live before he became a Pokèmon Trainer? What did he do and how did he manage on his journey so far as a trainer?):

RP sample: "So, you think you can get away with cheating on me?" he says smiling deviously as he pulls his pocket knife out of his pocket and undoing the blade. His smile gets wider as he sees the fear in his ex-lovers face develope, "Now, now, now don't you know who I am?" he then says grabbing her hands that have been tied to a bed post. He gets ontop of her holding her legs down with his own, "Now, this isn't goin to hurt, much, well at least for me," he says pulling the gag out of her mouth. She screams and he gets a little excited, "Sad to say that scream is A LOT hotter then the scream i get while we're in bed."

His ex-lover screams again and he brings his blade to her throat, being careful not to cut her yet, "Hush little baby don't say a word, daddys gonna buy you a big black bird!" he sings slitting her at the last word. "Told you it wasn't goin to hurt me, that much" he says getting off of her. He walks out of the room and walks into his bathroom where he procceds to clean off his pocket knife and hands. Suddenly sirens go off, and he hears yelling from outside, "Damn, looks like its time i take my oil," he says reaching under his sink and pulling out a little revolver. He smiles, "You see, Jimmy boy, it has finally reached that point," he says to his reflection. Bangs on the door are starting to be heard, and he just starts to cry. "I am rather displaced now, either I kill myself or let them take me in," he says to his reflection again. "**** it, I'm not lettin those pigs get me!" he yells putting the gun into his mouth and pulling the trigger blowing apart his skull.

I have two questions... can i finish later, and can we use D/P movepools, and what not. Oh, yeah make that three questions, can my Vulpix be shinny?

Sorry, dog, you're only allowed to have three Pokèmon maximum and they all have to be basic, just so you know.

Yes, take your time, no one likes a rushed sign-up.

Movepools, so long as the Pokèmon learned it at some point since 1998, it's allowed. But not TMs.

No. No shinies. I want this to be as realistic as possible.

Also, from reading your RP sample and your sign-up, I'd advise you to read a guide on why commas were invented and how to use them properly. Also, there are a lot of grammar/spelling mistakes in your sign-up, fix it.

Well, here is a question. (Oh, yeah, I will finish my signup later, k?)

If we are aloud to have three Pokemon each, are we aloud to have Pokemon in the box that we can withdraw when it gets to the fighting parts?

    Hmm this seems cool...

    Name: Max DéMerigo

    Age: 14

    Gender: Male

Personality: Max has a very lazy attitude and pretends he doesn't care for anyone or anything for that matter. This characteristic usually leads him to trouble to find a quick and easy way to get things done, which actually tends to be harder than what he had to do in the first place. He has some sense of humor in hard times to try and brighten things up. He hates work and is always hungry.

    Appearance (twelve lines or whatnot):
He is not amazingly tall standing at 5'1" but not incredibly short either. Just because he eats a lot doesn't mean he's fat. He is actually slender but not muscular, no pulsing abs and whatnot. What he wears is very laid back. Usually wearing baggy sweatpants, a tee shirt, some black tennis shoes, and a black hoodie. You wouldn't want to go to a ball or anything fancy in this. His hair is a dark brown as well as his eyes. When you see him nine times out of ten his shoulders would be slumped and his knees bent.

History/Biography (What did he do and how did he live before he became a Pokèmon Trainer? What did he do and how did he manage on his journey so far as a trainer?):
Before Max was a Pokémon Trainer he was a normal kid that went to school and lived with his mom and dad. Lets just say he wasn't a good student and his laziness got the better of him all the time. He did not have many friends nor did he want any. After twelve years his parents let for him to go out on his own with a pokémon on a journey hoping for him to make friends and have adventures.

RP sample: I'm just making this up off the top of my head here…

…. Then he sees her. The lifeless corpse lay there as his heart starts beating harder and harder, the gun still smoking in his hand …
" What have I done?" He stammered, his arm started shaking, his hold on the gun eased, and a loud clang rang through the room as the weapon connected with the ground. His mind started racing… " What did I just do?" He repeated, his whole body shaking now, filled with fear.
Another look at the blood stained corpse and the red pool on the floor and he knew what he had done was a mistake. His legs wanted to run, his head wanted to look away, but he couldn't. Suddenly water filled his eyes and it overflowed out of the dam he was building.
"**** it all!" He shouted as he bolted for the door. "It shouldn't have come to this!"

    …How was it?

    Pokémon: Nidoran ♂

History: Right after obtaining Bulbasaur a wild Nidoran ♂ came across is path, he was new then and just chucked a poké ball at it, and luckily he caught it.

    Name: Rocket T. (Thergood) Zater

    Age: 12

    Gender: Female

Personality: It's mixed. The way her personality is shown depends on what's going on around her. This is the result of a tortured past and a worry of the future. Because of her personality being like this, she's made no friends aside from her Pokemon, and has been alone ever since she ran off from her family.

Appearance: She's not tall at all. Standing at a short 5'2", she ranges in the 'vertically challenged' group (at least she thinks so). She weighs only 90 lbs. She sports and all black attire, her stomach showing just a bit. Her black shirt has long sleeves and isn't heavy at all. Her pants are the same way. They stretch all the way down to her shoes, ending in a bell shape and are very light.

Her hair is spiked a bit, shooting up and forward above her forehead. It's a fiery read color and has a single black streak on th front side. Her eyes on the other hand are a deep blue color, resembling that of a night time sky.

Not only as a symbol of her favorite Pokemon, but as a treasure given to her by her father before she went to Pokemon Tech, she wears a fake Amulet Coin. Though fake, it holds fond memories of her father and all he did for her. It hangs by a silver chain and is never taken off.

History/Biography: Rocket's history is nothing to wipe a smile at. She was born to a rich family and worse, a controlling mother. There wasn't a single day Rocket could remember where her mother wasn't trying to turn Rocket into a reflection of herself. And what was that reflection? A nurse. Rocket's mother was a top nurse where they lived and because of that, was conceited.

When Rocket turned four, her mother surprised her with a train ticket to Pokemon Tech. This was a private school that taught everything from becoming a trainer to a professor to a nurse and so on. This was where her nursing studies would begin and conclude when she was nineteen years of age. She was to then return home a proud nurse just like her mother wanted. There was just one problem.

Rocket wanted to become a Pokemon master.

The train tickets didn't thrill her in the least bit. She had no choice though seeing as she was only four and unable to fight back with her mother. Her father though, as generous and kind hearted as he was, was intimidated by the mother and did nothing to help.

During her years at Pokemon Tech, she befriended only one other person. A young flying Pokemon lover named Zane Hawkins. He was also a technology wiz and helped Rocket switch out from her nurse courses and into battle and trainer courses without her mother finding out. It was only because of him that she didn't go virtually insane in classes she hated.

When she turned eleven, she had had enough. She no longer wanted to be in Pokemon Tech or even near her controlling mother. She snuck out at 2 a.m. with Zane and they both ran off with the Pokemon they had each picked as Pokemon Tech starters. Eventually, Rocket's mother found out about this and chased after her.

She's still chasing, and Rocket's still running. Zane however, went on a different path to locate and capture every Pokemon that could fly. it was only at his completion of this would he return to Rocket. until then, Rocket would be alone with her Pokemon, running not just for hers and their lives, but for their overall freedom.

    Pokèmon: Meowth

    Nickname: Coin

    Gender: Male

History: Coin was never really "caught". He was the Pokemon Rocket had chosen to be her Pokemon tech starter. She was at first to get a Chansey, but when she saw the torture Coin underwent, she chose him instead.

Ever since his birth, Coin was known as not a Meowth, but a battle slave. He was pitted up against Pokemon ten times stronger and ten times higher in level. This wasn't to raise him though. It was to beat him senseless at the entertainment of others. He was hardly fed, was kept in a small crampt cage outside, and had water thrown on him instead of given to him in a bowl. His life was a living hell.

Rocket one day saw him being forced to fight a Nidoking. She watched as the poor feline cried out in agony as the horned Pokemon kicked him into the wall and stabbed him mercelessly with its horn. She couldn't take such treatment and ran to his safety.

At first glance, he feared her. But as time went on and as she cared for him, his trust in her and only her grew. He's now very close to her and will never leave her side. Rocket doesn't even keep him in a Pokeball because she enjoys his company.

    Pokèmon: Aerodactyl

    Nickname: Slauve

    Gender: Male

History: Slauve was caught in the mountains. Because of what he is, he was not only a once in a life time chance, but a very difficult capture. Rocket spent over a month in the mountains tracking and battling him. Each day she followed him, marking down noted places that he favored over others. Eventually she found a pattern in his movements and was able to keep up with him.

When it came to the battle, rocket was scared out of her mind. Coin on the other hand wanted to fight as a way to get revenge on all those Pokemon that beat him senseless back at Pokemon Tech.

The battles were all merciless, each ending the same way with Coin knocked out. But over time, and through many injuries, they brought the Aerodactyl to a weak point in HP. They did this by not just battling it constantly, but by taking away a lot of the Oran berries that could heal it. It was still a struggle because of the fact Aerodactly could fly.

But again, they found a way to get passed that and bring the ancient terror down to the ground. Rocket wasted over fifty pokeballs (bought with money she stole from her mother) on him before the final click of the fifty-first.

    Pokèmon: Abra

    Nickname: Alaster

    Gender: Male

History: Alaster's capture was a lot easier then Slauve's was. Because he was just an Abra all he could do was teleport in and out of battle. Rocket knew that she'd have to act fast if she wanted this psychic type. But for some odd reason, Alaster never once teleported out from the fight.

When fighting, Alaster teleported to dodge moves made by Coin while at the same time, using rocks and sticks to fight with. His bravery hit Rocket hard, making her want this small Pokemon even more! The fight lasted for over an hour, each move being dodged by Teleport and then being countered by teleport.

She could have used Slauve to take Abra down with ease, but she felt that a match up like that would be too one sided on her end. She wanted a challenge. Alaster brought her that second challenge.

The battle eventually came to a halt, with the result being Alaster's capture.

I'll get my RPG example up in a bit. I have to do something right now.

    ~::~~:~

Now, I wasn't too sure with Aerodactyl. Considering he has no pre-evo or evolution, he technically fits in the category of being a first stage and not going against the rules you set. But with him being the way he is (an Aerodactyl) I wasn't too sure.

I made sure though to make his capture as difficult as I could to give it a more, realistic type feel. That way it doesn't seem like she caught him by a stroke of luck or something.

    Name: Tyson
    Age: 13
    Gender: Male
Personality: Tyson likes to train his Pokemon for new attacks and contest. He can get side tracked very quickly and is usually called a dope. He is able to come up with some good plans for attack when catching Pokemon or battles. He shows love for his Pokemon, has lots of courage, and belives that there should be peace between Pokemon and trainer. Tyson thinks about his Pokemon first and himself last. He follows something for his Pokemon through to the end. He is labeled as a skirt chaser by his rival Lisa, and a pervert by his brother Koga. Although his skull is hollow looking Tyson is smart but uses the dumb act to trick opponents. He also hates people that release Pokemon because they aren't strong enough.

Appearance: Tyson has short blonde hair always worn down. He wears a red shirt with a snorlax face on the back. He usually wears two black wristbands, one has a grass symbol on it, and the other has a water symbol on it. Tyson always wears his blue jeans. His shoes are black gym shoes that are good for running long distances. Tyson's eyes are brown and he wears a pendant from his grandmother around his neck.

Biography: He was born in Kanto and learned to love to love Pokemon battles. He believed those were the only way Pokemon could look good. However, his grandmother came to him on the day before his birthday and took him to see a Pokemon contest. It soon becameTyson's dream to become a coordinator after watching the contest with his grandmother. He later found out she used to be a coordinator too. Just as he was about to tell her about becomimg a coordinator, but she died of a heart attack. After her death Tyson swore he would win the Grand Festival, just like she had. Tyson decided to go onward to Hoenn and start his journey, but acccidentially went to Sinnoh. While in Sinnoh he recruited Piplup as his starter and went back to Hoenn. Tyson met his old friend Lisa and told her about his contest dream. They soon started a bet. Tyson said he would win the Grand Festival and Lisa said she would win the Pokemon League. The loser would have to pay the winner with an all you can eat meal. So he went to Hoenn Tyson learned about ther war, but soon lost interest in the subject. Tyson arrived in Hoenn and after saving Cacnea started to go on his contest path.

    Pokemon: Cacnea

    Gender: Male

History: Cacnea was being chased by Taillow and its group. The Cacnea battled them off btu soon found itself cornered. It continued to battle on but soon started to get assaulted by the peck attacks and aerial ace. As he began to fall to the ground he was attacked by another aerial ace. However, Tyson got in the way and threw a smokeball. He carried Cacnea to the Pokemoncenter and waited for him to wake. When he awoke he gave Tyson a big hug. Cacnea decided to put itself on Tyson's team by stealing a pokeball on from his belt.

Moveset: Needle arm, Pin missile, sandstorm

    Pokemon: Piplup

    Gender: Female

History: She is the starter of Tyson's team and his best friend. Piplup was waiting in Rowan's lab for her trainer to come back. Sadly the trainer had traded her for a Buizel. Tyson had fallen in on the floor and soon saw Piplup crying her eyes out. Tyson felt bad for the Pokemon after hearing the story and dried those tears. Piplup looked up at Tyson and instantly fell for him. Tyson asked Rowan if he could take Piplup as his starter and Piplup agreed. So Piplup grabbed her pokeball and gave it to Tyson. She jumped in and soon became Tyson's best friend.

    Moveset: Bubblebeam, Peck, Wing Attack

RP Sample: As Tyson moved forward he stopped and let his Pokemon out of their pokeballs. Piplup leaped in the air and landed in his lap. Cacnea charged at Tyson and gave him a big hug. Tyson flinched a little but then laughed it off. Now, Tyson decided to start on the combinations for their first contest. "Piplup, use bubblebeam in a spin, then take them down with your wing attack. Cacnea, show me the power of pin missile plus a needle arm." the two Pokemon jumped and delivered their attacks as so, but some problems came up. Piplup became to dizzy and flew herself into Cacnea, who was about to use needle arm. The two collided and knocked each other out. "Well pratice does make perfect." said Tyson with a sweatdrop.

    Name: Madeline (Maddie) Fogheart

    Age: 14

    Gender: female

Personality: Maddie may look like a happy-go-lucky 14 year old, but she's really secretly depressed. She is rather shy, almost to the point where she's afraid of people. She often likes sitting in her room alone, sometimes while crying, sometimes while cutting, and sometimes while just laying there staring at the ceiling. Most of the time when people try and talk to her, she'll just ignore them, and sometimes, she'll run away. She doesn't have any friends, so she bonded very closely with her Pokemon.

Appearance: Maddie doesn't look as depressed as she is. Her hair is actually one of the least depressing colors out there: pink. In fact, it's bright pink. Her skin is overall, pretty pale, but it fits with her eye color and skin color. For clothes, she wears a plain black hoodie with a black t-shirt with a skull and crossbones underneath, black jeans, and black heals.

However, living in such a depressing town made her somewhat depressed at around the age of 6. However, she didn't really become depressed until the age of 11, when both of her parents were killed of an unknown cause. Well, here is a question. (Oh, yeah, I will finish my signup later, k?)

If we are aloud to have three Pokemon each, are we aloud to have Pokemon in the box that we can withdraw when it gets to the fighting parts?

Sorry, I wasn't clear on my last post. I just meant that you could only have three starter Pokèmon maximum. Six Pokèmon are allowed to be carried around, over that must go into the box.

The history/biography needs patching up and the history of all the Pokèmon aren't... You know, descriptive enough.

    ~::~~:~

    =^^= Nya

    Well... You're alive, apparently.

Accepted, so long as the Aerodactyl is a baby and therefore weak. Nice sign-up, by the way.

    Name: Tyson

Biography: Tyson's dream was to become a coordinator after watching a contest with his grandmother. He later found out she used to be a coordinator too. Just as he was about to tell her about becomimg a coordinator, but his grandmother died of a heart attack. After her death Tyson swore he would win the Grand Festival, just like she had. Tyson decided to go onward to Hoenn and start his journey, but acccidentially went to Sinnoh. While in Sinnoh he recruited Piplup as his starter and went back to Hoenn. As he went to Hoenn Tyson learned about ther war, but soon lost interest in the subject. Tyson arrived in Hoenn and after saving Cacnea started to go on his contest path.

    Pokemon: Cacnea

    Gender: Male

History: Cacnea was being chased by Taillow and its group. It was cornered by a rock and was targeted by an aerial ace. Tyson came in with a net and shoed them away. Cacnea was happy and gave Tyson a hug. With that hug Tyson and Cacnea became a team.

Moveset: Needle arm, Pin missile, sandstorm

    Pokemon: Piplup

    Gender: Female

History: She is the starter of Tyson's team and his best friend. Piplup was waiting in Rowan's lab for her trainer to come back. Sadly the trainer had traded her for a Buizel. Piplup started to cry, but soon Tyson came and dried those tears. Piplup was happy and Tyson asked Rowan for permission to take Piplup. So they became partners ever since.

    Same problem as 41Victory.

This Roleplay sounds like a wonderful idea, very promising, and like it might actually go somewhere, unlike a few other Roleplays i've wasted time submitting applications to. Anyways, seeing as I don't have any time tonight, I hope it's okay if I wait until tomorrow to submit mine.

Okay, I will try and apply. I hope my writing skills aren't lacking x3.

    Name: Rose Pryce

    Age: 14

    Gender: Female

Personality: Rose is a very naive young girl. She is optimistic and can be very determined, even when the odds are against her she gives it her best; perhaps a tad stubborn when her innocent determination takes over. Also, her childlike behavior sometimes undermines her views of the horrid events taking place around her.

Appearance: Rose is 5' 4" and has an average build, slightly curved, but not to busty; she has a longer torso with shorter legs. Her skin is a light peach with pink tones. Instead of getting the bronze tan she always seems to get irritating sun burns.

Her hair is a golden blonde, slightly wavy at the tips, with side swept bangs. She changes her hairstyle depending on her clothing and mood, but most of the time she is with two pigtails. Normally her hair, when down, hits the middle of her back.

She likes to wear cute, but comfortable clothes since she is a Pokemon trainer. Her main outfit is a white collared shirt with a mauve sweater vest over it; the vest has the picture of a pókeball in the upper right-hand corner. Her bottom is a khaki skirt with pleats, accessorized with white leggings, so she can move freely. Her shoes are black and white converse style with black shoelaces.

History/Biography: Rose lived with her younger sister and single mom in the Hoenn region. Her mother is a retired contest contestant and trained her two daughters to follow in her footsteps. Even though Rose is very girly and tagged a 'prep' she was determined to become a Pokemon trainer. Her mother protested her daughter's wishes, but after taking matters into her own hands, Rose was given a chance to show her willpower on becoming a Pokemon trainer. The two agreed that Rose would battle a first time trainer like herself at Professor. Birch's lab and if she won she could follow her dream. Sadly, she lost, but her mother finally realized her daughter's feelings and the way she connected with the Pokemon. She allowed Rose to begin her journey.

Rose soon found out her mother was against her becoming a Pokemon trainer because of her father, a trainer who also loved Pokemon, but departed their family because of it. Rose made a promise to her mother that she would come back one day, but after she was considered a master and beaten the Elite Four in all four regions.

When Rose came upon him he was too weak to fight even though he put up a tough front by attacking Cascade. Eventually, put out by its own efforts, Rose took it to a Poke Center. The next morning Crescent found Cascade and Rose sleeping by his bed. He was so touched he gladly joined the team.

    Nickname: Muffin

History: Muffin joined the trio by its on accord, taking a place on Rose's shoulder after being fed the delight that is Pokemon food. Muffin has an upbeat nature and loves to joke around with the other Pokemon. She doesn't like to battle much, but gives it her all when forced to.
Moveset: Growl, Quick Attack, Helping Hand, ad Fake Tears.

    RP Example~

Rose stretched her limbs, her hair catching the rays from the sun, her bouncy pigtails glowing a bright gold. Muffin, her upbeat Plusle, clung to her shoulder, basking in the warmth like her owner. After a good nights rest at the local Pokèmon Center, the young trainer was eager to begin the day, hoping that perhaps a battle or new addition to the team was included in the schedule.
"Are you hungry?" She asked, grinning up at Muffin who nodded energetically. Rose chuckled, knowing how much the small creature loved the Pokèmon food she carried.
Sitting down at a bench outside of the Center, she slid her backpack from her shoulders and rummage inside for the plastic container of brown pellets and a bowl. Muffin hopped down onto the bench next to her, squeaking as Rose shook some of the delightful pellets into the little bowl.

(Before I get started, I will let you know that I am going to be trying this a little bit different. I will be writing in a journal-like style. Hope it does not bug you.)

    Entry 1: A Simple Introduction

My father always told me that I should try to leave my mark on the world. He said that I needed to do something great so that people will always remember my name. I believe his exact words were "A name is nothing more than crap if it isn't on the mass's hearts, minds, and lips." I had always assumed the old man was just bitter about his life, but eventually I began to see what he meant. Everyone wants to be remembered, to be idolized to a certain degree. I guess I am no different.

    Name: Samuel Anders
    Age: 14
    Gender: Male

    Entry 2: Personality

People have told me that I can be rather cold-hearted sometimes. To that I usually respond, "Thank you. And you can be rather idiotic sometimes." I have come to find that this is definitely not the response to give people, especially adults. It usually makes it harder to get what you want from them. I have also come to find out that I am not smart enough to follow this advice. So, I guess you could say that while I am cold-hearted some of the time, I am a smartass all of the time. Now that is not to say that I do not care about others. I could just care less about their feelings. I do what needs to get done regardless of how people feel about it. If that makes me a horrible person then so be it. I would rather be a horrible person who gets things done than a good person who is paralyzed by people pleasing.

Some once told me, "Boy, make sure you always do the right thing. It might not be the easiest decision, but it will always be the most satisfying." Now, the woman who told me this was rather old and somewhat senile, but I don't feel I could hold that against her in her moment of clarity. Do what is right. I have found, since I started my journey, that people don't want what is right. Typically, they want what is fair. Right is not always a fun situation for people. Right is sometimes downright hard. And like people say, "If you can't do it easily, don't do it at all. Who am I to judge though? Everyone lives their own way. Just because I live my life better than most other doesn't make me a better person. Right?

    Entry 3: Appearance

I guess it would be important for the reader of this journal, if there ever will be a reader, to know what I look like. Well, I have black hair, short and extremely curly black hair. It falls down to about my eyebrows, and I try to not let it go any further than that. My face has a clear complexion but isn't too attractive, at least I don't think, after that. My nose is crooked thanks to a poorly healed broken nose when I was younger. A rather large scar, a souvenir from a lost fight, cuts across my face from the left side of my nose down to my jaw. My ears are big, and my smile is missing a few teeth. That isn't to say my teeth are bad. The majority that are left and pretty straight and a nice white color. The only redeeming quality my face possesses are my bright green eyes. I have been told they are rather stunning.

My body is nothing to marvel at. I am of average height and weight for my age. I am not the strongest or fastest kid in the world, though I do have a quick step. In a physical fight, I will lose more than win. My mind is my trump card. Needless to say, I tend to keep my shirt on. My taste in clothes is not great, but it gets me by. I typically wear a simple white T-shirt with a casual green button-down over it. Not liking the confining feeling of a long-sleeve shirt though, I cut the sleeves off the button-down. I prefer to wear khaki shorts and sandals, but I am not opposed to jeans and boots if the occasion calls for it.

    Entry 4: History/Biography

My mom use to tell me that you cannot begin to understand one's present until you have experienced their past. Well, I don't know how to let you "experience" my past, but I can least explain it to you. I was born in the small town of Roseleaf. If you have never heard of Roseleaf before, it is not a big surprise. The town isn't much to look at. It's a small town full of small town people and has no attractions to draw a crowd. The people, however, like it this way. "No need to change what has work for years," some of the older residents would say. I felt differently. The town was dull and never changing. I needed excitement. That is what really got me interested in becoming a trainer. I needed to get out of that small town.

My dad, Keith, was very supportive of my decision. I think partly because he was never able to have an adventure of his own. Having married at a young age, his life was dedicated to his wife, Debra. Responsibility had a way of getting in the way of fun. Thankfully, my father was a good man and took his role as husband seriously. I wouldn't be here today if he hadn't. I can tell he still longs for adventure and excitement though. On the day I left, I could see the regret in his eyes. I doubt it is something he will ever get over.

My mom and my nine year old sister, Amanda, were not as happy as my dad in my decision. My mom felt I was too young, too inexperienced, and too irresponsible. She tried to talk me out of the journey every other day. I still don't think she respects my decision to leave. Even six months after leaving, I still hear from her, when I call home, about how I need to come home. Hopefully that will change soon. Very soon. Amanda, also known as my shadow, was a bit different. She was crushed when she heard I was going to leave. However, unlike my mom, she was just as excited as me about my upcoming adventure. From the time I mentioned my leaving until the actually day I left, the only time I was without Amanda was when I went to the bathroom and when I slept. It didn't bother me though. It gave me plenty of time to give her advice and prepare her for time without me. She will do fine. It won't be too long before she starts her own journey.

I am not the same person I was when I started my journey. The child-like faith I had in humanity and the kindness I showed to everyone have long been stripped by lies and deceit. I learned early on in my travels that most people couldn't be trust. It's a lesson I will never forget. My first pokémon, a very energetic Mankey, is no longer with me because of that mistake. I remember it like it was yesterday. I had been traveling for about month when it happened. I was a few hours outside of town named Jerton. It had been a long day, and I was dying of thirst. I could have easily made it into town without a drink, but I decided to trust the kindness of a stranger instead. I had seen the man relaxing against a tree from a distance but thought nothing of it. It was until I got closer that I noticed the bottles of water he had sitting around him. Looking back, I should have known something was wrong. Everything from the convenient water to the way he eyed Clyde, my Mankey, screamed out that something was wrong. But I will still naïve to the ways of most people. It only took a few minutes for the drugs in the water to take effect. When I woke back up, all of my supplies and Clyde were gone. I searched for the rest of the day but never found the man again. I collapsed in despair on the outskirts of town. If it hadn't been for the kindness of an elderly gentleman, I would have most likely stayed there.

I was untrusting of the old man at first, having just suffered for my blind trust in a person, but soon he earn my respect. He showed me no ill will, only kindness. He lived by himself. All of his children were long gone and his wife had passed away from old age. He was a kind fellow who only wanted to help. After hearing my story, he offered me a place to stay for a short period of time. I didn't find out till a few days later that the man had connections in the pokémon community. Apparently, he had told my story to one of his good friends. The man, a pokémon professor, felt sorry for me and decided to help. The man contacted a pokémon breeder than he knew and inquired for a replacement for me. The breeder did what she could, and soon I was the owner of a brand new Buizel. The pokémon could never replace my first, but I felt a stronger attachment to it than I ever had for my Mankey. Thanking the old man first all my heart, I vowed to one day revisit and return the kindness he had shown me. The episode taught me much. It taught me that while most humans are deceitful and only out for themselves, there are a few that do what is right.

    Entry 5: A New Mission

I have recently heard rumors of interesting activities in Johto, mainly the disappearance of a Professor Theodore Elm. He is supposedly an authority on pokémon in the region. I have heard his name somewhere before, but I can't really remember where. Rumor has it he had some important information on criminal activity in Johto. It was something about capturing legendary pokémon I believe. Regardless, the man went missing sometime ago. At least that was what the new alert said. Funny, a man who says he has valuable information of criminal activity goes missing soon after. I wonder if there is a connection there. Why am I writing this? Well, I have never been off of Kanto in my life. I believe that this is a good enough reason to change that. Plus, this man needs help. I am sure they have hundreds of people looking for him. One more person helping couldn't hurt. Anyways, I am leaving Lavender town tonight and heading towards Vermilion City. From there I should be able to get a ride to Johto.

    Pokémon: Buizel
    Nickname: Clydesdale
    Gender: Male
History: Clydesdale, while being the pokémon that Samuel has had for the longest time, is Samuel's second acquired pokémon. Clydesdale, often called just Clyde, was born by a breeder named Jennifer Coddwell. After hearing about Samuel's story from a good friend of hers, Jennifer decided to help Samuel by giving him a replacement for his Mankey. The Buizel was barely a year old when Samuel received him but has grown greatly since then. While Clydesdale is still young, he has been in many battles and has shown much potential to be a great battler. Clyde is very laid back and enjoys spending most of his time out of his pokéball. Of Samuel's current pokémon, Clyde is the second strongest and smartest. He follows orders quickly and is very effective at completing said orders.
Move set: Sonicboom, Water Sport, Quick Attack, Water Gun

    Pokemon: Scyther
    Nickname: Radiance
    Gender: Female
History: Radiance, often called Rad by Samuel, was the first pokémon Samuel actually caught. It had been early one morning when Samuel came across the Scyther. The bug pokémon was not very friendly and didn't like other pokémon anywhere near her territory. As soon as she saw Clyde, the bug pokémon attacked. Thankfully, the Scyther was young and not as strong as fully grown Scyther. The battle was hard on both Clyde and Samuel, but in the end, they won and the Scyther was capture. Radiance is the strongest of Samuel's pokémon and the most protective on him. She tends to think that she is the only pokémon Samuel needs and doesn't really get along with Clyde. For this reason, Samuel tends to keep Radiance in her pokéball. In battle, Radiance tends to follow orders, but tends to stop listening if she gets mad. Her short temper can be a liability, but it is something that is slowly getting better.
Moveset: Quick Attack, Leer, Focus Energy, Agility

    Pokemon: Whismur
    Nickname: Woodsworth
    Gender: Male
History: Samuel didn't really catch Woodsworth. During his journey, Samuel can across a very old lady who was having trouble carry some bags to her home. Not having anything to do at the time, Samuel offered to help and got the lady safely back to her home. On the way to her house, Samuel found out that the lady had a granddaughter who was suppose to start her own pokémon journey not too long ago. The old lady had been gotten a pokémon for the girl as a present: a Whismur. Unfortunately, the girl decided that a pokémon journey was not for her at the last minute. Not wanting to be away from home for that long, she continued her education. Well, the Whismur was in a bit of a bind. The pokémon needed a good trainer and the girl had not intention of being one. Reaching the ladies house, Samuel was about to say his good-bye when the lady said she had something for him. Walking into her house, the lady returned after a few minutes with a pokéball. Handing Samuel the pokéball, the lady told him that it was his reward for helping her. Samuel tried to decline but the lady would hear nothing of it. Giving up, Samuel accepted the gift and continued his journey. Woodsworth is cocky jokester. That is the best way to describe his attitude. If out of his pokéball, he will do his best to play a trick of some kind or other. He also tends to try and pick fights. His attitude can cause trouble for Samuel so he is typically in his pokéball.

RPG Sample (This a RPG I was in a while back.)

Shade turned to see the face of Jonathan Anders. He was a boy from Shade's hometown. He was 6'3" and the same age as Shade. He had short brown hair that he spiked up with gel, making it shine. Johnathan wore a black leather jacket with a simple white t-shirt under it and dark blue jeans. He also had on polished, black dress shoes. It was clear that he always tried to make a good first impression, and Shade knew it from experience. Jonathan had, at one time, gone out with Shade's sister, Amanda. Shade like the kid at the time and thought nothing of it. It was not till later that Shade found out that Jonathan was one of the members of the gang that beat Amanda up. They got into many fights after that and Jonathan has always had it out for Shade. It was not a big surprise to Shade when he heard that Jonathan, along with most of the other kids in the gang, joined Team Rocket.

"To what do I own the displeasure of seeing your face again Jonathan?"

"Ouch, Shade, that one hurt. It seems you still have not learned any manners since we last met. By the way, how is you sister, Amanda, doing? It has been a long time since I last saw her pretty... eyes."

"DON'T YOU EVER SPEAK HER NAME!" A fire rose into Shade's eyes as he glared at the smug figure of Jonathan.

    Jonathan, however, just smiled.

"Eww, it seems I have hit a nerve. To answer your question, Roseleaf was too boring for my tastes. It was not tough enough. The boys of the town did not give me much of a challenge, always running away you see." Jonathan smirk grew as he continued. "The reason I stayed was for you sister, but once you found out about me and separated us, I had no real reason to stay. That is when I turned to Team Rocket. They gave me the excitement I wanted."

Shade's face continued to grow redder. Calloway had gone into an attack position on his shoulder. It took all Shade had not to punch the kid in his face.

"It was you then," Shade said three clenched teeth. "You were the one that attack those other trainers today. You have sunk to a new low Jonathan. Joining a group like Team Rocket, that is pathetic. I guess you were too afraid to hit the world alone. I am not surprised though. You go from beating up kids half your age to attacking trainer that have hardly any experience. By the way, how many of you did it take to loose. Considering they had you to slow them down, I would guess around 20 more than usual."

It was Shade that hit a nerve this time. Though it was only for a second, Jonathan?s face lost it composure.

"It was not my fault those idiots can't beat a few brats!? Jonathan yelled, his face growing just as red as Shade's. He quickly regained from his outburst, however, and continued. "I did not personally attack the other trainers. You are the reason I am here. You see, when the leader told us about this mission, he also gave the names of the trainers we would be attacking. I was quite pleased to see your name on the list and made sure I was sent with the group. Now is my chance to prove how weak you really are Shade. I will make you pay for all those times in Roseleaf."

Pulling out a pokeball of his own, Jonathan released a powerful looking Machop onto the field.

"And what if I refuse to fight you"

"That would be most unfortunate for you. Not only would my Machop tear you apart, but I might also accidentally call some friends and have them visit your family for you."

That was the last straw. Picking Calloway off his shoulder, Shade looked into the eyes of the small Weedle.

"He might have more strength that you, but you have more of a reason to fight. Let's show this punk what he is worth."

He might be strong, but I am a lot smarter. I will take him out with ease. Just make sure you have some that food ready when I am down. The Weedle was filled with an intense excitment.

"Sure thing, let's just focus on the battle right now."

Backing up, Shade and Jonathan stared each other down. Both waited for the other to make the first move. Their pokemon sat anxiously waiting for their orders. Each prepared to unleash whatever attack they were commanded. Silence filled the empty street for what seemed like forever. It was finally broken by the hate filled voice of Jonathan.

"Machop, tear it apart. Have no mercy on the weaklings. Split it in half with a karate chop"

"Calloway, that Machop is much faster than you. Hit it with a string shot to slow it down."

The Weedle launched a string of web at the oncoming Machop. The Machop, running toward the Weedle so quickly, was unable to dodge the attack. The web struck the Machop straight on and it was soon covered in web.

"Nice shot Calloway. Now you can..."

Shade froze as he saw, to his dismay, the Machop break the web with ease and continue its path towards Calloway. As got close enough, the Machop jumped in the air, preparing to bring a battle-ending karate chop down on the Weedle.

"Calloway, get out of there!" Shade yelled at his pokemon. The message was receive just in time as the Weedle rolled to the left as the Machop slammed the ground right beside it. The impacted, however, was so great that Calloway was sent flying through the air and hit the dirt a couple yards away. The damage was thankfully minimal, and Calloway quickly got up.

This guy is stronger than he looks, and he looked pretty dang strong to begin with.

"Come, come now Shade. Do you really think that pathetic Weedle even has a chance against my Machop? You will need to do a lot better it you intend to beat me."

Shade knew Jonathan spoke some truth. Calloway, while having a lot of heart and determination, was not physically strong enough to fight the Machop. He would have to find another way to beat him. If not, his journey would end before it even began.

"Come on Calloway, we can't let him beat us. I have a promise to keep and there is no way he will make me break it. The first round went to him. Let's win the rest."

    Name: Madelyn Jane Maywah

    Nickname: Maddie

    Age: Fourteen

    Gender: Female

History: Maddie used to be a cheerful, happy child, polite and graceful, compassionate toward other people and Pokemon, kind-hearted, and overall fun to be around until the event that occured twenty-four hours ago which thrust her world into complete turmoil. Born as the daugher of April and Thomas Maywah, Maddie's family has always been very wealthy, and she has been granted everything she wanted. Despite being obviously spoiled, Maddie didn't let it affect the way she lived. Even though she was rich, in her spare time instead of practice-battling with other young trainers and attending public school to prepare her for her Pokemon journey, Maddie chose of her own free-will to be home-schooled, barely socializing with any others of her own age and instead helping to raise the awareness of Pokemon maltreatment and neglect throughout the Kanto region. She started her campaign along with Dahlia, the abused Eevee she stumbled upon that inspired her to campaign, and being as famous as she is, was automatically heard by all the people. Though she was young, she ran a good campaign (Some say she got it from her mother) and people actually took her seriously. For four years, Maddie dedicated every aspect of her life to her cause and gave hundreds of speeches in every town of Kanto. This Summer, she had planned to travel with her parents and Dahlia to the Johto region where they would be meeting with the President of Johto, and bring her campaign there, eventually working her way up to the Sinnoh region. Then her plans were destroyed. The seeimingly innocent girl who had always fought for what was right had snatched away from her the most important person in her life, her mother, who was assassinated by one of Kanto's numerous drug gangs. Her mother had been trying to bust the gangs for years, and was believed to have found out a vital piece of information when she was ruthlessly killed. When she found out about her mother's death, Maddie was shocked and enraged, her delight and love for the world and all its people melting into a furious wrathful hate as she vowed revenge on the drug boss who killed her mother. Though it has only been a day, Maddie had withdrawn into a world of her own: A world dead-set on avenging her mother's death and busting the drug boss who ordered her killed. Though Maddie was expected to comfort her people in this time of mourning and loss, Maddie left with only one trace of her disapperance: A note promising that she would return only when her mission was complete. The note was left for her father, and he decided not to let it be known that she was missing in such dangerous times, afraid that without security she would immediately be hunted down by the drug gangs and kidnapped or killed. He has hired a very skilled man to find and bring her back, though he has no leads as to where she might be going so far. The only person to know of Maddie's disappearance is an old family friend, Professor Oak, who has promised not to tell anyone of her whereabouts, and even gave her an extra Pokemon to help her on her journey. Besides Professor Oak, no one knows where Maddie could be (Most don't even know she's missing) except for her longtime childhood friend, Gary Oak.

Personality: Maddie used to be a very happy and energetic young girl, enthusiastic about her cause, and determined to get her point across to every person in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and eventually Sinnoh. She used to be very compassionate and kind toward everything, always trying to stay optimistic like her mother and look for the good in everything as opposed to the bad. This attitude always made her very appealing, and good around people and Pokemon alike. She was a natural-born speaker, and when she says something, people usually listen. She prefers not to fight physically unless it comes down to it, but when she does, she latches on and refuses to stop until she's given it her all. Though Maddie is no longer so positive and upbeat, being wrecked with grief, she still prefers not to immediately jump into fight, instead sitting back and letting the opponent make the first move while she contemplates how to counter it. Maddie still has a great deal of compassion for people and Pokemon, but hardly shows it anymore, keeping to herself, and only stepping in when need be. She is focused on one thing and one thing only now: Revenge. Whether it takes her to the Orange Islands, or thousands of miles away to Sinnoh she doesn't care, she swears on her life to avenge her mother, and will not move on with her life until she has.

    Appearance:
Maddie is a very petite and slender girl, being at a rather short height of 5'3' inches, and weighing a mere 100 pounds. Her size and weight have never been much of an issue though, as her powerful skills in speech make her seem much bigger than what she actually is. Everything about her is small, from her thin shoulders to her tiny legs and feet. Her face is more heart-shaped than oval, with large, beautiful crystal blue irises framed by long black lashes. She has no need or want to wear make-up, and refuses to put it on for anyone. Unlike some girls, she thinks she looks better without it. Her hair is long, falling to her mid-back in loose curls, framing her face and sometimes hiding the right side in a natural side-part. It is Golden Honey Blonde in color, and is most often styled up in a halfway ponytail. The bow she wears in her hair is hot pink with white polka dots and a tiny dancing Pikachu in the middle of it. It is a bow she never takes off, as it belonged to her mother. The outfits she wears varies, but most of the time she can be seen in a Sundress of some type, always in pastel colors. The most commonly worn by her is a loosely flowing white Sundress, a think pastel pink ribbon tied in a tiny sash around her waist. She wears a pair of white leather sandals on her feet. On her back she wears a small plush backpack, the backpack being shaped as the head of her favorite legendary Pokemon, Mewtwo. An Umbreon keychain dangles from it. Around her neck, she wears a necklace given to her by a dear friend for good luck.

    Pokemon:
    Eevee

    Nickname: Dahlia

    Gender: Male

Moveset: Tackle, Quick Attack, Dig, Toxic

History: Dahlia is Maddie's most loyal Pokemon, and her best friend in the entire world. Her campaign promoting friendship between people and Pokemon and stopping abuse and neglect was inspired by this tough little Eevee, who she found battered, bruised, and bleeding on the outskirts of Pallet Town where her mom was paying a visit to Professor Oak. Maddie didn't think twice before picking the young Pokemon up and rushing him immediately to the Lab where he received treatment immediately. Later, Maddie rode with the Eevee to the Pokemon Center, her, her mother, Gary, and Professor Oak all waiting all night outside the Emergency Room all night. When the little Eevee was mended, he was carried out into the waiting area where he found the four of them asleep. He was touched by their compassion, and recognized immediately the little girl who had rescued him from his hell. His heart melted when he saw her asleep there, and hasn't left her side since. She decided to call him Dahlia, and he's been the poster-Pokemon for her campaign ever since. Dahlia is very compassionate toward other Pokemon, and is always full of energy and adventure, acting as a guardian over Maddie as he guides her along her journey. He would follow her to the ends of the earth if he had to, and trusts her with his life.

    Pokemon: Pichu

    Nickname: Sparks

    Gender: Female

Moveset: Thundershock, Thunder Wave, Nasty Plot, Sweet Kiss

History: Being a baby Pokemon, and one Maddie hasn't had for very long, Sparks isn't as dependable as Dahlia, and more often than not will not even follow Maddie's orders. Maddie hopes to remedy this with more training, and a couple of badges. The bond between Maddie and Sparks isn't that great yet, but Sparks respects her enough to follow her on her journey, and help her achieve her mission. Sparks is a little ball of energy, always happy and playful, usually being the one to get a smile out of Maddie. She is very needy, always demanding constant care and attention, and loves to be carried around by Maddie as opposed to riding along in her Pokeball. She has a fascination with Pokemon dolls, and in fact stowes her whole collection away in Maddie's backpack. Her favorite is a soft shiny Cleffa plushie. Sparks was hatched by Maddie's mother's Raichu, who was found mysteriously with an egg one day. Once hatched, Sparks was given to Maddie on her fourteenth birthday, but hasn't since come to mean as much to her as Dahlia. She wears a pink ribbon around her neck.

    Pokemon: Charmander

    Nickname: Charm

    Gender: Male

    Moveset: Scratch, Growl, Flamethrower

History: Charmander is still much of a mystery to Maddie. On the night she ran away from home to pursue vengeance, she received Charmander from Professor Oak at his Laboratory. She hadn't really wanted a third Pokemon at the time, but reluctantly took it at he and Gary's insistence. They reasoned that a Pichu and an Eevee wouldn't be enough for a trainer just starting out in these dangerous times, and wanted to give her something a bit more powerful. Maddie has only had Charm for a few hours, and the two seem to get along, but only time will tell if they will ever form a bond as strong as her and Dahlia's. Charm was sent with a Flamethrower TM, and though it isn't the most powerful of Fire attacks, it should be of great assistance if the occaision arises.

    RP Sample:
A heavy but steady drizzle had settled down upon the region of Kanto, with no signs of stopping. Everyone, people and Pokemon alike, seemed to have taken shelter from the downpour, as it wasn't common for a rainstorm this heavy and continuous to pour upon the region. Kanto was known to be a very warm and luscious region, and this storm was completely out of character for it.

"I can't believe we got stuck in the rain." A young girl grumbled, who at the moment looked more like a drowned rat than a fourteen year-old little girl.

"The first day on our mission, and we're scrambling around for shelter out in the middle of nowhere! The first storm to hit all year, and we're stuck right in the middle of it! Just our luck, huh Dahlia?"

The girl paused momentarily, glancing quickly behind her, wincing as she felt the full force of the rain come crashing down upon her thin body. She had been running across this vast meadow toward a thick patch of wood just ahead for about five minutes, running desperately, for once no clever plans in mind, her wish just being to escape the freezing rain. Up until now, her little Eevee had been running faithfully along beside her, but then mysteriously seemed to have vanished. Now stopping completely, the girl, Madelyn Maywah, stood shivering, at one time one of the most famous and powerful people in the region, now reduced to just a weak, cold little girl standing alone in what she thought was the middle of nowhere.

In actuality, Madelyn was closer to home than she realized. The thick woods she stood outside just so happened to be the woods surrounding the tiny town of Pallet, where her family had spent every Summer since she was born. If it weren't for Maddie's inability to find her way around, and also never having went on a trainer's quest like most children, she would have recognized immediately where she was. Maddie hadn't been rushing toward Pallet town specifically, she had just been running to any scrap of shelter she could find. But the fact that the shelter just so happened to be the woods surrounding Pallet was a little too important in her mission to be coincidence, and in fact, after she went back and thought about it, everything, including the strange storm seemingly thrown from the sky out of nowhere, was a strange interference by some outside force, by what most call destiny.

"Dahlia!" Madelyn screamed, her eyebrow furrowing in worry, as she continued scanning the meadow for her companion.

"Dahlia! Please come here! We're almost there! The woods are right in front of us!" Still, there was no response. Maddie felt like just falling over on the ground and weeping, but instead squatted down and slung her backpack off of her shoulder, her chest, visable through her soaked white sundress, heaving for air as she struggled to catch her breath.

"Dahlia!" She screamed now, her voice barely heard over the rumble of thunder in the distance. "Dahlia! Please just say something!"

"Veeeeeeeeee!" Maddie almost fainted in relief when Dahlia's all too-familiar cry reached her ears. It was a comforting sound, and immediately, she opened her arms as a tiny, drenched ball of brown fur sped down the path she had just walked, and jumped happily into her arms.

"Dahlia!" Maddie exclaimed happily, hugging the wet Pokemon tightly against her body as ecstatically he began to lick her face.

"Where were you?! I thought you were right behind me, but when I turned around you were gone!" The tiny Eevee looked sheepishly up at his trainer, shrugging his petite shoulders, and then shaking his wet coat out, making his shaggy brown fur stand up at all ends. It took Maddie a moment to notice, but he was shivering quite violently, ears drooped at his sides as he let out a little cough. He was out of breath too, and appeared completely exhausted with the effort of keeping up.

Oh no. Maddie though, instantly overcome with a guilty sensation. I was so caught up in finding shelter for us, I didn't think about how tired Dahlia must be, and now he's getting sick! We've been running all night, running to get as far away as possible from my hometown and my father, and haven't even stopped for a break! Dahlia never went in his Pokeball once..

Tears stung at Maddie's eyes, and she let them run down her face, sitting motionless as they mixed with the rain, and came dripping down her chin. Anxiously, Dahlia, still shivering violently, began to weakly lap at them, worry apparent at his eyes as he struggled to get the attention of his trainer. Feeling even worse, Maddie picked the tiny Pokemon up, and cuddled him against her body. How could I be so selfish.. She thought again bitterly. I did it again. I became obsessed, and I ignored Dahlia's needs. I'll never achieve my mission if I can't even take care of my best friend. I need him as much as he needs me, and so far, all I've done is fail him.

Standing up, Maddie, with Dahlia still in her arms, tossed her matted golden mane away from her face, shifting her face to the ground, focusing on her feet and now walking calmly toward the woods. Dahlia had burrowed against her chest, his eyes sealed shut to protect against the rain as she raised her quivering bare arms over his body to protect him from further cold. Once they finally reached the woods, she sighed in relief, sinking back against a tree as Dahlia jumped from her arms and looked expectantly up at her. His gaze was quizzical and questioning, and seemed to be asking her what were they going to do next? Maddie blinked once, surprised, to be honest unsure of her next course of action. Her first plan after receiving word of her mother's passing was escape from the mansion before the Police and Security Guards arrived the next day, and she had achieved that, and then the next plan had been to find shelter from the unexpected storm. She had achieved that. But what now?

Maddie slung her backpack down from her back once more and unzipped it, removing the small sealed plastic bag she had managed to snatch and stuff with some berries for her and the Pokemon, and some Pokemon food. Setting out a handful before Dahlia, she smiled as he eagerly began to munch on them. Removing a Pokeball from her backpack, she pressed the button in front, the top of the Pokeball snapping open as a tiny figure emerged in a brilliant flash of white light.

"Piiiiiiii?!" The Pokemon just emerged questioned excitedly, the light vanishing to reveal a Pichu. She stretched out her tiny arms, and stood on tiptoe, her mouth dropping open curiously in a tiny yawn. The baby Pokemon had apparently fallen asleep in her Pokeball, as she wasn't used to be concealed within it. In fact, less than twenty-four hours ago, Sparks had never even been in a Pokeball in her life. Up until now, she had roamed the Maywah mansion freely along with Dahlia, never needing a Pokeball because she was never made to leave the house. But less than twenty-four hours ago, everything had changed. Maddie knew exactly why she had taken Sparks with her, though the Pichu was obviously more of a pampered pet than a trainer's starter Pokemon. It obviously hadn't been for protection. Right now, Maddie doubted that Sparks could even protect herself with her few weak attacks. Though it was more of a hassle than a help to bring Sparks along now, Maddie hadn't seen any other option, since the
Pokemon had been the last gift her mother had given her. It wouldn't have been right to leave her behind.

"Pi-CHA!" The Pichu exclaimed ecstatically, finally realizing that she was free. Ecstatically, she began running around, whizzing around trees and darting through bushes so fast that all she appeared to Maddie and Dahlia was a blur of yellow color. Maddie chuckled a bit, the smile breaking out across her face purely accidental and unintended, as mentally she pondered how something so small could have so much energy. She lifted her leg as the Pichu came racing back toward her so the Pokemon wouldn't meet in a nasty collision, but to no avail as she plowed into an unaware Dahlia. Maddie burst out in giggles as Sparks tumbled into Dahlia and swept him along in her crazy race, and finally, after several moments of her Eevee struggling to get away, plucked Sparks up off the ground and held her up to her face. Her anxiety melted away momentarily as she noted the crazy grin lighting Sparks' face, and sat the Pokemon gently down into her lap, stroking her back and placing a few berries before her. As Sparks began to eat with great gusto, Maddie sighed, resting her head against the wet bark of the trunk, the cold finally began to seep into her bones now that she was stationary. She began to shiver, but tried not to focus on that, just keeping her mind on the hand that stroked Sparks and the eyes that stared blankly ahead, following each droplet of rain on its descent from the Heavens to the cold, hard ground on which she now sat. The tree was providing the three shelter from the rain, but was unable to keep away the biting cold that followed and seized the tiny shivering girl. Though she was concerned only for Sparks' and Dahlia's well-being at the moment, worried that she was over-exerting them and they were getting cold, she was the one in danger, wearing only a Sundress and a pair of sandals, neither of which offered her bare body any protection. Since she had packed in a hurry, and knew for that matter that she couldn't pack much, hadn't brought any Jackets or blankets, or even blue jeans. She had stuffed her bag with food, and a couple of bottles for water, and of course Sparks' collection of Poke plushies which she had refused to leave without. Dahlia had noticed this, and was now watching his trainer and best friend with great concern, for he knew that she hadn't much money, and what money she did have she would surely spend on the two of them.

As Dahlia watched his trainer, nearly numb with cold, shivering against the wet bark, he knew that he had to do something. Scanning his surroundings, he recognized immediately where he was. How couldn't he, when he had been discovered at the verge of these very woods by Maddie herself? His former trainer had been a trainer of Pallet, an ignorant one, but a trainer from Pallet nevertheless. Grueling days of training had been spent here, so many that Dahlia knew it like the back of his paw. Dahlia was much like his trainer in mentality, and remembered well the path to Pallet. And he knew that if she followed him, he could get her and Sparks to a safe place, a warm place with help and food and kind people.

"Vee!" Dahlia cried out triumphantly, a devilish glint appearing in his deep chocolate eyes. Locking them upon his poor frail trainer, he turned with a nod of his head, and darted away from her and Sparks, determined to get her to follow.

Maddie had almost managed to drift into sleep, Sparks resting in her lap, when for some reason or another Dahlia had darted off away from them. Jumping up immediately, Maddie clutched at Sparks and her backpack, starting to run after him in a daze, her head pounding from suddenly standing up and taking off.

"Dahlia!" She called out. "Where are you going? Please wait up!" Her head throbbing, Maddie continued to run after her beloved Pokemon, focusing on nothing but the brown blur before her, not even paying attention to where she was going, just hoping not to lose sight of the creature who had become her closest friend.

"Dahlia!" She called out, lunging forward as she grew ever closer to her Eevee, finally getting close enough to where she thought she could reach out and grab him. As she lunged, her foot snagged into the gnarled root of a massive tree trunk, and she was hurled forward into the hard ground, her body twisting around her delicate foot as it refused to untangle from the root. As she slammed against the ground, Sparks flew from her arms, hitting the ground equally as hard as Maddie had, and startled, let loose a powerful Thundershock. The Thundershock wouldn't have been so bad if not for the rain, and went right through Maddie, narrowly missing Dahlia who was barely able to dodge it. A loud cry of pain escaped the girl's mouth, and blankly, she stared ahead at Dahlia, who had stopped the chase and was now anxiously peering down at the two of them. As Maddie tried to stand, a piercing pain rushed from her ankle throughout her body, and she screamed, realizing she had sprained it. Electrical shocks still danced across her drenched body, and she winced once, her head falling limply onto the muddy ground, her arm outreached, head grabbing blindly around for Dahlia.

"Vee?" The Eevee questioned worriedly, glancing from Sparks, who seemed to have fainted from the massive output of energy from her, to Maddie, who could barely move as result from her ankle and the powerful electrical shock.

"Vee!" Dahlia decided with a nod, lingering only momentarily near his trainer, and then turning around to scamper away, the quest for help now ever more important on his mind. Guilt and worry began to pile up on the already-fatigued little Pokemon, and he only pushed himself harder knowing that because of him, Maddie and Sparks were both now in pain. Eventually, he arrived at his original destination, thin chest heaving for air, as he dragged himself down the muddy little path to Pallet town, and to the place that stood out sharply in his memory, a place like no other. Soaked to the bone and worn out, Dahlia nearly collapsed as he finally reached the front stoop of a small modest-looking house from which a warm glow was emanating. Huddling against the front door to try to escape the downpour, he raised his tiny paws to the door, beginning to furiously scratch at it, ears drooped at his side as he felt himself beginning to black out. Shaking out of his mind, determined, the little Eevee only began to scratch harder, thinking of Maddie lying on the cold, wet ground, her ankle in a knot all because of him.

Finally, the door swung open, and immediately, Dahlia was hit with a warm, homey smell, the delectable scent of a meal being cooked. Yellow light shining upon his furry little face, Dahlia's tail began wagging insanely as he first laid eyes on the figure who had answered the door.

"Vee…" Dahlia said thankfully, before wobbling, and falling onto his side just inside the door.

"Dahlia?" The person queried, an element of surprise in his tone. He had warm, Chocolate eyes, and wild, unruly hair that went in every direction. Dahlia smiled, delight flooding him as he was overjoyed to finally see his old friend once again. Tail wagging just the tiniest bit, Dahlia re-focused on his mission: Getting help to Sparks and Maddie.

"Vee! Eevee!" Dahlia cried, jumping up courageously and getting into a battle stance, ready to lead Gary Oak out the door to the spot where his trainer lay fallen.

"Dahlia, you're hurt…" Gary trailed off, not seeming to notice the air of urgency the Eevee had about him. Dahlia rolled his eyes, shaking it off, as he wasn't hurt in the least bit. At least, not compared to his comrades in danger.

"Vee!" Dahlia cried out, shaking his head fiercely, as he pointed out the door. Gary peered out into the rain, staring blankly as he stared out into the seemingly empty distance. He raised an eyebrow, crossing his arms.

"I don't see what you're getting at." Gary told him plainly, reaching for the doorknob to pull the front door closed. A breeze had started up, and was now blowing hard in the direction of the house.

Are all humans this clueless? Dahlia thought desperately, looking for some item around the house that he could use to clue Gary in. For a Pokemon champion and researcher, he sure doesn't read me very well.

"Vee!" Dahlia exclaimed triumphantly, finally spotting exactly what he was looking for. Trotting over to an end table set against the Couch in his living room, Dahlia jumped up on it and quickly snatched a framed picture, leaping back down and bringing it over to Gary. As Gary took the picture from Dahlia, his whole expression changed, from one of confusion, to one of mixed emotion, happiness alighting in his eyes at first, but then pure grief and sorrow, as he cleared his throat, looking back down at Dahlia with shining eyes. The picture was of he and Maddie, both extremely young in appearance, looking doe-eyed and bewildered upon the back of a feathered Dodrio, a banner reading "Kanto region fair" draped behind them, welcoming people into it's front gates.

How pretty she looked in that little white sundress. He though. With the bonnet on her head. How long has it been since had had last seen that face? No.. It can't be.. Two years?

"I guess I just got a little caught up with my journey." Gary admitted sheepishly, turning to open a door as quickly he began rifling through it. He pulled out a flashlight, and flashed it at Dahlia, testing it to make sure it worked.

"Maddie's here." He said aloud, more to himself than to Dahlia. He clenched his fist, clutching at the flashlight, a grave look passing over his face.

"And I know why she isn't here with you now. She would never let you come all the way out here by yourself. She's hurt, and she needs my help."

"Umbreon!" Gary called out, and immediately, seemingly out of nowhere, the black Pokemon appeared at his side along with Dahlia.

"Come on, guys. We have to go find Maddie. Dahlia, lead the way! Run as fast as you can! She needs me, and I need to be there."

I've tried to be realistic by Pokemon standards, though maybe you meant realistic by real world standards. Either way, it's all up to you to either accept or not, hehe.

    Name: Alyssa Saterson

    Age: Thirteen

    Gender: Female

Personality: Alyssa is not afraid to speak her mind. That is, you'd either hate her or love her for her sharp tongue and complete bluntness in every situation she walks into. If she turns up in one she does not find to her likings, she'll pry her way out. She talks like the meanest kid on the block and most of the time means it, giving hardly any sympathy unless the act will cause something good to come her way. She cooperates only when she needs to and will help others if the pay is good, and on some occasions, if she is in the mood.

In a way, besides her obvious quest similar to others to be a Pokemon Master, she has obtained a unique status among people through word of mouth. Not anything good, but among the impact she's given, they say she'll do any job. As long as the pay is reasonable (which to her can reach exceedingly high rates), she will agree to help Skitty down that tree or assinate someone in particular (not that she has been given a job to that calibur (meaning this to be an over exaggeration of what she is capable of)).

She has a positive side to her. It is nothing on the inside, but what lies on the outside. With her, she carries three Pokemon, and each one, with their unique personalities, guide Alyssa in different directions. Surely in the near future, her outlook on life (which she believes is a terrible thing) can change.

Appearance: Recently, Alyssa has dyed her hair to red. She says it is to more easily unnerve her peers in battles and just about anyone else. As for the rest of her attire, she is usually garbed in red vest with a black undershirt, wearing black sweatpants to match and red shoes. Though her hair does match with the rest of her, it is the way it looks that throws her entire appearance off, springing in all different directions. Some would go as to call her frazzled had her expression said otherwise. No; every which way she looked and acted were to appear non-friendly.

History/Biography: Alyssa has never felt unconfident. Since the beginning of her journey to where she lies now, through hardships and all, she has never doubted herself or looked vulnerable. Inside, she prides herself in this, but keeps it so far down that no one can see it. They see her as the neighborhood bully, so she lives up to it.

When she began her journey, she used her Zigzagoon to fight off the wild Pokemon. She caught nothing but one Pokemon, and still mostly trained with Zig. How she obtained Zig as a starter when she started her journey in the Sinnoh region was not luck, but persuasion on the nearest proffessor and distributer of starter Pokemon. She has done a lot of persuasion and deals in her journey to get whatever it is that she wants. The only things she has not done deals to gain were the badges; she believed those must be earned, and those are the times when she acts closer to an actual human being.

She has gained so far, three badges, and only has three Pokemon.

    Pokèmon: Zigzagoon

    Nickname: Zig

    Gender: Male

History: Zig was a Pokemon imported from Hoenn and shipped to Sandgem Town for research under Proffessor Rowan. On the night Zig met his trainer, he was very sleepy. Zig had an attitude equivelent to Alyssa's only when he awakens from a deep slumber, and has had that attitude even before he met his trainer. Likewise, when Proffessor Rowan guiltily handed him over to Alyssa, he felt he was doing the wrong thing after all the beggings for a Hoenn Pokemon research group. Yet, it was all for the betterment of his lab. Alyssa did him a huge favor by treking to Jubilife City where another deal had been made with the Poketch Company for additional research files and Pokedex's. As for Zig, after a breif attitude adjustment as he left the lab with his trainer, he proved to be a nearly exact opposite of Alyssa.

    Pokèmon: Sandshrew

    Nickname: No nickname

    Gender: Male

History: Sandshrew was stolen. Alyssa made the bold move to help (to a certain degree of cash value) capture a convoy of stolen Pokemon led by a group of Team Galactic members. She and the group that hired her had managed to steal the Pokemon, and when they began to distribute them back to their right owners, there was one left. Though Alyssa was paid well, the prospect of having a Sandshrew on her team was far greater than the money. She traded the cash value for the Pokemon, and gained a new companion.

Sandshrew was very much like Alyssa at first, complete with the sour attitude and all. When he saw how Alyssa acted for the first time, he felt he needed to be better than her, and tried to act tougher. All this ended up doing was forming a bond Alyssa could not see clearly, and Sandshrew became a much calmer type.

    Pokèmon: Shinx

    Nickname: No nickname

    Gender: Male

History: Though Alyssa acts like an opposite of a trainer, and would rather not have more than one Pokemon, Shinx was too hard to resist for her. She had a certain liking to the Pokemon even before she began her journey, though this liking has not softened her to the Shinx. She treats the Shinx as she does to Zig and Sandshrew. Shinx himself is closer to Zig and has had some of his go-lucky attitude rub off, but is at the same time a different entity entirely. He has skepticism on a lot of things that come up, most commonly when he battles, while Zig and Sandshrew are more believing in their passing.

    RP Sample:

The Zigzagoon had been awakened quietly by the one person he had known so far in existence. The human carried him in his arms, all the while Zig grumbled unhappily. He did not hate this act, but did not like to be disturbed when he was so into a dream. He hated the action, and already was beginning to forget the world he had spun round him.

"Yes," said a voice. "Alright, I'll take it."

He turned to the direction of the voice, rubbing one of his eyes clear with his paw to shake the sleep away. He was given to someone else's arms, and at first growled, but was tapped sharply on the nose and backed off.

The one thing that bothered him while he was forced awake in this room was the brightness. He could not get used to it, and it further irritated him. He pawed at whoever it was that held him, and slowly, his eyes adjusted. It was a girl, young at age, but the Zigzagoon could not tell which age exactly. He was not good at guessing the human aging ways.

"Who are you?" he asked. "Why do you hold me?"

Before he could guess at much, the young girl and the man who had been taking care of him shook hands.

"Pleasure doing business with you," said the girl.

"I have to thank you too, Alyssa," said the man. "Good luck on your journey."

Those words. It was quite obvious what was happening, and the moment the Zigzagoon figured it out, the crankiness within him withered and a whole new wave of emotions spread, from anger to excitement to fear.

He is giving me away! he thought. He's sending me off with this girl to go on an adventure...like the ones my brothers used to talk about!

Yes, he remembered quite clearly. Though the man who took care of him was his greatest memory so far, he remembered life before his locked state at wherever and whatever it was he found himself in. He remembered green grass and trees and playing with others around him in fun games. Most of all, he remembered his brothers, and how they talked of great adventures that humans took. They would catch you, and if you were lucky, you could be led somewhere special, where the rewards were grand and a neverending set of battling awaits.

Battling was something he loved; almost all Pokemon enjoyed it. They battled each other a lot in the wild to get the sense of freedom and and a feeling of pure bliss that could be found in no other action. Likewise, there were stories about humans who helped Pokemon achieve battling a wider variety of battles, and it was said to be the greatest experience ever.

Those stories were true; he could now see it as he was led out of the building he had resided in for so long. So it did not matter the fact of who he was going with at the time, about who she was and how she was like. She seemed okay so far, with black straight hair and all. And so, with a smile upon his face, he climbed abord his...what was it that his brother said they were called? Ah yes. Trainers.

That was so long a year before. Now, she was different. Though he may have not changed, he could see that his trainer has. She's gained a new look and all, and even Zig has to agree she looks quite frightening.

Zig. That was the name she had given him. He paid no mind to it (not that he thought it was a bad name) and concentrated mostly on what was at hand, which usually turned out to be battles and deals. He had to admit that his trainer had a very strange personality, but he had gotten used to it. It bothers him not.
