OOC: Sorry guys, I've been having a family crisis... I'll try to start posting from now. Since the plot has been advanced I'll just start heading to Diwnorth Town.
Mable pointed somewhere between two pointy rock carvings, "From here you can see the top of Air Horn Tower. That's the Diwnorthen landmar you know." she was clearly smitten with the man.
"Okay, Mable, I think you're freaking out the poor guy. Let's get going." Allan said.
So the the pals walked on through the village and back en route. Allan decided to use his Sandile to clip onto the edge of the rock and lower himself down. He was the first to go down, which was odd, due to the surrounding circumsatances - his phobias.
Now he saw Mable and Winston climb down, and he waited for the new group member.
"Nidoran, come out!" Lexi yelled, and the purple creature burst from his ball. Nidoran looked up at Lexi, his large ears twitching at sounds coming from the forest, which was now behind them.
"Hmm. Your Nidoran knows Horn Attack." Jack pondered aloud, before healing his two pokemon and allowing them out of their balls.
"Yeah, I was just thinking the same." Lexi replied. "I thought they learnt that at level 23, after evolving into Nidorino..."
Lexi bent down and picked up the Nidoran, examining him as if looking for something. Finally, she found what she was looking for; a small, round stone.
"Ah, you have an Everstone!" Lexi grinned. "Y'know what, I kinda like it. Stay as a Nidoran, we'll learn moves quicker that way!"
Nidoran wiggled to be put down, where it ran with the other Pokemon. Lexi checked her Pokegear.
"We're not too far from Diwnorth. But there's plenty of room between to train up!"
Allan and his friends lead the way as they headed for Diwnorth town, guiding their newest (and oldest) member Grey. They used their Pokemon in quite the innovative ways. The ledge was steep, and it was a long drop down.
He couldn't use Ralts' Teleport, cause it was a bit too far, but he had an idea. Holding his small Pokemon in his arms and whispering to it, he jumped down without even trying to grab hold of an outcropping or something.
"Teleport, Ralts!" Grey shouted a few seconds before hitting the ground. Ralts immediately responded and glowed with a white light. They then both disappeared and reappeared on solid ground, safe from harm. "Great job, Ralts." Grey laughed. The others were startled.
"That was cool." Winston said, startled that Grey was on the ground before he finished climbing down.
"Ok are we really going to follow this guy to wherever he's taking us" Said Catherine silently in an attempt to not let the man hear her.
William and AJ looked at each other and nodded they both knew that to make their dreams a reality they would need to take a few risk and this was one of them.
"So Mister my names AJ he's William and the girl is Catherine" shouted AJ to the man.
"Were here!!" shouted the man as he cleared some bushes revealing a boat that was resting against the shore. William ran towards the boat which appeared to be lodged into the sand to everyones disappointment.
"How are we going to use this none of us are strong enough to even make this thing budge." said William as he got sad.
"Ho ho" laughed the man "Have faith children" the man went into his pocket and took out a pokeball releasing a Machoke.
Machoke, the Superpower Pokémon. With enough strength to lift a giant truck with one hand, Machoke are often used to extremely heavy work.
"Ok friend you know what to do" the mans Machoke nodded and went about lifting the boat out of the sand and place it into the sea.
"Now lets go" signaled the man as he and his pokemon walked onto the boat.
"Well lets go" said AJ as he and his friends walked onto the boat as well.
As everyone got on the boat and the trio started to sail off the mystery man had a little surprise for AJ waiting to come. Everyones pokemon were out and experiencing the cool air.
"Young man with the scyther will you come hear for a moment" asked the man as he watched the trio play with there pokemon. AJ walked over to the man but was instructed to stop when he was an appropriate distance from the older fellow.
"Machoke use karate chop" shouted the man as Machoke leaped into the air and went about attacking. AJ closed his eyes and opened them realising that he was not killed by the fighting type pokemon and realised that Scyther had swooped to his rescue.
"Fast" whispered the man who looked serious now "If you can beat me i'll take you to Dinworth if not this will be your last stop."
AJ became serious now as well knowing the dangers of losing this fight and nodded his head.
"I knew this guy was crazy" sighed Catherine as she watched Scythers blades and Machokes fist collide as the battle began
"So... You think we'll meet any trainers here to battle?" Jack asked impatiently. They'd been walking for what seemed like an age, and the only thing they'd come across was a flock of angry Spearow.
"I'm sure there'll be someone around!" Lexi said, her enthusiasm as prominent as ever.
Growlithe barked and snapped playfully at her heels. Lexi had decided to withdraw Nidoran; when he grows to become a Nidoking it would be a little awkward to allow him to walk around all the time.
"Hey! Are you going to Diwnorth?"
Lexi and Jack spinned on their heels upon hearing the voice. Behind them were two young boys, each wearing long shorts and a baggy t-shirt. One wore a baseball cap.
"Yeah, we are!" Lexi yelled back.
"Not without battling us, you're not!"
Lexi and Jack grinned at each other, and the four simultaneously reached for the Pokeballs at their belt.
It had been maybe 2 days worth of walking in the useless dusty path. There was no pokemon except the occasional Diglett that would quickly disappear at first sight of a trainer. Winston chuckled as one popped up and back down in maybe one second. Allan couldn't bear the boredom anymore. The he saw the grey clouds starting to surround them. A dust storm. They actually weren't common around here, the rocky landforms stopped all intruding winds. The Earth got cold. This was no ordinary dust storm. It had a strange blue aura to it. Two Diglett popped up to be frozen. The small group began to run. Mable tripped and Winston stopped. Allan turned back only to be pushed ahead by a wind. He fell on the ground. Was Grey all right?
"Electrike, dodge it and use Spark!"
"Vulpix, hang in there! Use Flame Burst!"
The battle was well under way, and Lexi and Jack were winning by a hair. However, the two knew this could change at any given moment.
Electrike successfully dodged the first kick from Nidoran, but wasn't fast enough to avoid the second. It collided with the side of it's face, and the force thrust Electrike far along the path.
Vulpix was just recovering from Magnemite's Thundershock and was rearing up to attack when the sky darkened around them. The four trainers and Pokemon alike stopped what they were doing and looked at the sky. These weren't ordinary storm clouds.
Growlithe, Vulpix and Electrike started to howl, and Nidoran burrowed itself into Lexi's legs. The trainers withdrew their Pokemon, other than Growlithe who refused to be enclosed in a Pokeball.
"What did you do?!" One of the young trainers yelled over the now howling winds.
"Us? We didn't do anything!" Lexi scooped up Growlithe in her arms. What was with this weather?
The air grew icy cold, and a chill was sent up Lexi's spine. She could see Jack's mouth moving but the wind prevented her from hearing what he said. All she knew was that they needed shelter, and fast.
The four shielded their faces with their arms and ran blindly down the pathway. If they didn't find a place to stay until the storm recessed, anything could happen.
This wind couldn't be normal. Allan had thrust himself into a small cave. He wondered where Grey was, and how the other two were holding up. He sent out Sandile to make a small burrow. It had to be warmer underground than up here. But Sandile shivered and then stopped immediately. Sandile crept away and Allan looked to find a sheet of ice underneath the soil. This is... frozen groundwater? How... how is this here? Allan followed it out of the cave. The storm had finished. Or at least it lowered in intensity. Allan looked forward to find a sparkle. He ran up to it, slipping on some new ice patches every now an then. Once he reached it, his jaw dropped. The Diglett that popped up at that moment during the storm were completely frozen, but not in ice. It was as if there was crystal.
When Allan saw his friends' hats sitting precariously on a wedge of ice, he knew they had gotten away just in time. He picked up one of the hats to find a piece of paper... er, a napkin, with some pen on it. It read " got way... Diwind." They must be heading there. Good, they can at least get away from the storm. But Allan was too curious. He looked down at the ice. This couldn't have been created by any Pokemon, at least not any I've heard of. Allan noticed that the right side of the ice had a deeper color, while the other had merely a splash of light blue. Allan decided to follow the lighter path. It seemed more welcoming, and.... right. He followed it through a few old pillars. Those were just some old ruins of the old town. There had been some scientists studying them before. Then, he realized they were wearing the same costume as the owner to the Absol. Vortex. He had heard them say that.
He continued to find a huge crater in the middle of the ice, yet it wasn't frozen. In it, there was some water, maybe 20 meters. Then he heard the yelling. Help! Help! What was that. It droned on. Help...help. Then it halted all together. Then it started up again. Allan knew it was coming from the other side of the crater. There was no other way around it, the two sides were blocked with sheets of ice. But Allan knew he had no choice. On three.. one. two. three. and he jumped in. He waded through the ice cold waters, he could no longer feel his feet. Then the water became instantly warm, like a hot spring, but 2 times as soothing. He moved through the water and at the end found a small tunnel. He followed it to find even more ruins, these remained unfrozen. He followed it until the end where he saw it. The Unown.
They swerved and compiled against each other, creating icy pillars anywhere they collided. Something had caused them to get angry. Allan sent out Budew. He ordered a Mega Drain to no avail. Then he noticed that they were wearing that machine on the Absol. That thing must create anger and hatred.
"Budew aim for those things." Budew shot out two and then another. But there were too many. But, they began to slow down, as a joyful tune played in the background. He turned to see a black creature... a Pokemon. It had green melodious hair, and it soothed the Unown instantly.
"I am Meloetta. I originated in the Unova Region. Pleased to meet you Allan."
"Me? Why me?"
"Only a truly good spirit would have waded in that water to find someone in distress. Now the ice will heal the Earth and vanish." Allan watched as the ice broke. Underneath some patches of ice were rivers, and a few waterfalls.
"This must've been an underground city. This is where all the Pokemon are."
"Yes. You guessed correctly. But you should know, that the people you thought of, the Vortex, they are harming Pokemon."
"Filling them with powers of hate. Yeah, I realized. But Meloetta, why are you here? Shouldn't you be in Unova."
"I should. I miss my home. But many legendary Pokemon were sent here when their homes were destroyed. Others eradicated. Now, I will give you this." She handed him a crystal necklace which she laced around his neck. "If ever you are in danger, hold this crystal and think of the message you want to say. The closest legendary will find you." With that she disappeared.
With the ice gone, this place wasn't too bad. He looked around to see some Spheal. Perfect for catching.
