Plot
Welcome to the world of Pokemon! It is a vast and diverse land filled with many unique creatures called Pokemon. Trainers set off on journeys to capture these creatures and train them in battle to be the best. On their journey, they challenge special trainers called gym leaders and collect gym badges from them when they defeat them in battle.
You have heard many tales and legends about trainers who have traveled these lands and were brave and powerful enough to defeat gym leaders and collect their badges. Some of them are even from your hometown of Littleroot!
Wanting to be just like these trainers, you have decided to start your own journey with Pokemon. With a new unique pokemon, and partner, you will set off into the vast world of pokemon. Your ultimate goal is to challenge the gym leaders and collect all eight badges and then go on to the Pokemon League for a chance at becoming the Champion.
But it isn't as easy as it sounds. You must travel through the world with your new partner and battle through many obstacles. Battling together, you must capture wild pokemon to build your team and defeat the many challenging trainers that are all after the same goal as you- becoming the best.
You may even run into the two teams terrorizing the region of Hoenn- Team Magma and Team Aqua. Team Magma's goal is to cover the whole world with land, while Team Aqua's dream is to drown the whole world in water. It may only be up to you and your fellow trainers to put a stop to their plans for the world.
So be brave and step into the world of Pokemon! There will be tough challenges and hard times, but you must push through. On the path you may meet many friends, make new rivals, and will be depended and trusted on by other trainers. Be strong and battle through all the way to the Pokemon League!​

Rules
1.) Be Active!! This has to be one of the most important rules in the rp! We can't keep this rp running if no one ever posts. You must be able to post every one or two days. Pm me if you're going away or can't make it to the computer for awhile. We'll work it out.
2.) No legendaries will be caught in this rp! If you don't like it, I'm sorry. Later on in the rp, you'll be able to work with some legendary pokemon, though.
3.) Do not god-mod or bunny any other of the players. Unless you have gotten permission from that player, do not completely control another person. I will have a serious problem if you break this rule.
4.) Follow the personality and history that you made for you character. It makes no sense to make a happy, light personality for your character and then make them mad all the time in the rp. This is why you're making them!
5.) Have Fun!! This is another important rule. Do not sign-up if you have no intention of having fun. Put some effort into your posts and help make this rp enjoyable!​

Game Play
When all the slots are taken, we will begin the rp.
Like most rps, I will not be participating in this rp. Instead, I will be the "Game Master", controlling many characters such as Proffesor Birch, both Teams, Wild Pokemon, Gym Leaders, etc.
You will be in charge of your own character and your own pokemon. For your pokemon, you will be in charge of the moves they learn, if you want for them too evolve, etc. You cannot godmod other players' pokemon and actions (like mentioned in the rules). If trying to capture a wild pokemon, I will decide whether you have caught it or not, and what its level is depending on the quality of your post.
This rp will be in "Chapter Form." This means I will post a chapter with information of the area you are in, and what you're allowed to do. There will be no specific order to post in, but you must wait in between each of your posts to wait for me to grade your post. In this grading, I will tell you the level boosts your pokemon have gotten, the moves they are, or trying to, learn, the items you've gotten, etc.

Appearence: Max wears a red shirt,black pants, adn brown running shoes. He has black spiky/ messy hair and usually wears a pokemon league hat he got from a league he went to. He has crystal blue eyes and a necklace with a Sharpedo tooth on it. He stands at about 4 foot 2 and weighs in at 100 lbs.(Oh and for whatever reason my computer won't let me have a trainer card so if I'm not accepted because of that then tell me).​

Personality: Max is very very hilarious. He usually tells jokes whenever he can and sometimes even helps him in pokemon battles. He loves to swim and climb trees. Some people even compare him to an Aipom due to how high and how fast he can climb a tree, and some people compare him to a Mudkip due to how fast he can swim. He usually spends most of his time in trees and the water. He looks out over the land while he is in a tree.​

History: Max grew up with his parents and lived a normal life until he was about 5. He turned 5 and his mom became pregnant. While his mom was pregnant Team Magma took her away! One day they were on a picnic and 4 men from their team kidnapped her. His father was at work when this happened and he chased after his mom for half an hour. He got to exhausted and couldn't catch up to her. He vowed since that day that he would become a trainer and with the help of other people bring down Team Magma and find out if his mother was either alive and he had a little brother or little sister, or if his mom was dead. He hoped that the outcome was the first one.​

Appearance- Nick is a semi tall, very thin fourteen year-old. He has spiky brown hair and baby blue eyes. Because of his young-appearing face, he is often mistaken for being much younger than he is, much to his frustration. He prefers to wear his silver coat, a green shirt, and his blue jeans. His white shoes are specially designed for him, and help him to do one of his favorite pastimes: Running. They have spikes on the bottom of them that make it easier for him to run on certain surfaces without slipping.​

Personality- Nick is very shy, and this attitude is often misinterpreted as stuck up or rude. If someone takes the time to get to know Nick, they find out he is a very caring guy. He's usually passive, but will quickly become aggressive if his friends, family, or other loved ones, including his Pokémon, are in danger. He is also a loner, to a certain extent. He likes to only surround himself with the friends that truly understand him, and although they are few and far between, he keeps those friends close to them and treats them with the utmost care and friendship.​

History- Nick was once a very outgoing person, but due to his mother and father's divorce, he retreated into his 'shell.' His mother moved him and his little sister to Littleroot Town, and their family bond improved because of it. They had always bickered like all other families, and still do to an extent, but much less so than before. Since he's moved to Littleroot Town, his mother has had financial problems supporting their family of three. Nick hopes to become the Pokémon League Champion to not only gain Pokémon friends and partners, but to gain the economic benefits and help to support the upraising of his little sister.

Appearance: Zach wears a short sleeved dark red shirt with a white collar as well as blue pants. Zach's eyes are brown and his hair is black in colour, which has a sort of a spikey part that sticks out in front on one side and it is because of this he finds it almost impossible to wear any caps or hats. He also wears a pair of blue running shoes that has a brown square shape on the outside of each shoe, and he carries a blue and red backpack.​

Personality: Zach is quite smart for his age, from the time when his father and mother had often told him what it was like for them when they were his age and able to choose the first Pokemon of their own, including what Zach's father learned from the Pokemon Academy. but because he was so smart he often felt that it was not easy to relate to other people, except for the ones he knew well which included the youngest resident of the house next door to his own, and a fellow trainer like Zach soon was to be, who found it easy to form a bond with them, and hopefully vice versa. When he came across a dangerous situation; or times of danger Zach usually got himself out of whatever the situation had been, whether or not there was anyone with him.


History: Being the son of a former prospective trainer at Earl's Pokemon Academy in Johto, he was able to learn from his father how they raised Pokemon there, which in time Zach himself had the know-how to be a good Pokemon trainer, once he had started his journey; in the raising and knowledge sense of the word. Also his parents took to Pokemon watching, observing them from a distance in their younger days after their time as Pokemon trainers came to an end, but they still have two Pokemon between them of course, one of which was the evolved forms of his and hers chosen starter, which were now Feraligatr (Zach's father's Pokemon) and Meganium (Zach's mother's).

Appearance- Hunter stands at 4'11". He is on the short side, but still not too short. He has curly blond hair, and big blue eyes. He wears a small head, and wears dark glasses. He wears a red t shirt, and baggy jeans. He wears black and white tennis shoes, and weighs about 110 lbs. He usually can be seen with a white cap. He is very muscular, and thin. He wears a necklace with a pokeball that his grandpa gave him before he passed away.​

Personality- Hunter is always trying to get attention. He always has a smile on his face and does embarrassing things to get people to notice him. He has a lot of friends because he is rarely mean (except he plays around being mean) and can always be seen making people laugh. He is really outgoing, and always is at parties.​

He also works hard when it comes to work, usually getting so focused, that he tunes out his environment. He likes anything that has to do with friends, so he is really lonely sometimes.​

History- Hunter grew up in a small town with a lot of friends. He never remembers his parents, only that he grew up with his grandparents. They treated him like his own son. Hunter grew up knowing little about pokemon, focusing on his school work. One day, he was dared by the girl he liked to go into a dark cave. He couldnt say no, so he traveled inside. After a few steps he was hit smack in the head by a Geodude. Hunter was very afraid at this. He felt another blow and was knocked out cold. A strange thing was standing infront of him. He got up, ready to retaliate, but it wasnt like the one he had been hit by. It was a Makhuita, which was strangley different that the Geodude. After this incident, the two became friends. He was givin a pokeball by one of his professers, and he caught the Makhuita. As soon as the first year of high school was over, his Grandpa died. His dying words asked Hunter to take his new pokemon and travel the world, as once was his dream. So thats when he packed up, said his goodbyes, and filled out his Grandpa's dream.​

Appearance- Shaun has shoulder length straight chestnut hair which is bordering on fine, and not that remarkable. Her eyes are a cold ice blue color, and she can convey practically any message to any person through a look, or a glance, or a glare. She is tall, and you can tell that she's athletic, not because she's got a lot of muscle or anything, but you can just tell for some reason. She has normal type skin without the slightest trace of a tan, which is kind of weird considering the fact that she spends a lot of time outdoors. She normally wears a white and brown striped polo, white, light brown, and gold plaid shorts, white ankle socks, and white running shoes. She also wears a silver chain with a feather supposedly from Lugia on it though she hides it under her shirt. On formal occasions she wears a knee length black dress with silver trim, delicate silver sandals with a very low heel, and a thick silver bracelet on her right wrist, she is wearing the chain with the feather, but it is hidden as always.​

Personality- Shaun is a normally pretty easy to get along with, even if she doesn't like you, she'll at least act decently polite towards you. She is a brilliant athlete, so she knows a lot about being a good sport and fairness, whether she wants to be fair or not, or a good sport or not, she'll still play by the rules. It takes a strong, well aimed insult in order to make her upset, and it takes a lot to get her angry at you as well, though most of the time you can expect only to have the silent treatment for days and weeks on end. Shaun happens to be very good at silent treatments. Otherwise, she's pretty nice to just about everyone. During battles, she is strategic and strong, and will do whatever it takes to win, but she accepts losses with a smile.​

History- Shaun was an athlete from the start, from the very windy night that she was born in Sunyshore City. Though her father left the family when she was young, her mother thought that it was a good thing she showed so much interest in sports. When she was three years old, she was enrolled in karate and gymnastics, and then joined a soccer and basketball team when she was almost five. She thought that sports were what she wanted to do. She didn't really care for pokemon that much up until she was nine years old. That was when she got her first taste of battling, when she found an starly in the woods that was being attacked by a chatot, and she decided to help the starly out. In the end, she battled the chatot and beat it. That was when she discovered that she really enjoyed coming up with strategies and battling others, and decided that she wanted to become a pokemon trainer. It almost became an obsession, though she also focused on her athletic activities.​

Finally, when she was ten she was able to have a pokemon, her family moved to Verdanturf Town, but that year a storm struck her town, damaging buildings and felling trees, luckily, Shaun's home made it through the storm unscathed, but others weren't so lucky, and she stayed at home for a while longer while they rebuilt the city. Now she is twelve years old, and spent the last two years putting all of her effort into sports, knowing that she might not return to athletics after she decided to become a pokemon trainer. She's excited to begin her pokemon journey, though she has decided to try to keep up with sports in her spare time.​

I thought I would also bring up something important also. Does everybody want Pokemon Contests? I was planning on including them, but my idea is a little rocky and stale on how to run them. If you have a good idea, tell me!

OKay I will like Ribbon to forget String shot for gust and Token to forget Leer for Poison Sting.

I always wondered what rping a pokemon contest would be like but sadly I have no ideas. I would say that for the appeals rounf they could try to edit pokemon sprites and then you decide on which ones are the best and then the battles could be based off 10 points and for every hit a pokemon takes they lose one point if a move is block the user loses 2 points and if the attack gets turned back on the user then they loses 3 points or something like that.

The shaky part is that not everyone is good with making sprites so it will be a little unfair.

No, spiriting will not be done. Thanks for the suggestion though.

This is probably the way that this will be done. The contests will be like the anime way where the first round is the performance way and the second round is the battling (Is that the way it is? I'm planning on watching one of the contest episodes tonight). If you want to do the contest you'll have to write out a long, detailed, and creative section for each round and if I find it worthy then you'll get the ribbon. It's just so simple right now. I want to make it more fun than this.
