...set up a Calm Mind. Well two can play at that game! You order Pyra to set up a Calm Mind as well. A Calm Mind war has officially broke out, with both Pokemon spamming Calm Mind, until both are at maximum Sp Atk and Sp Def. (Reuniclus has Magic Guard, so the Burn it has doesn't hurt.) "Flannery" asks what the point of that was, since the damage will be the same due to Reuniclus's increased Sp Def cancelling out Pyra's increased Sp Atk. You then grin and tell Pyra to use Psyshock. The attack hits Reuniclus's unboosted Defense, instantly OHKOing it. "Flannery" sent out Honchkrow, Gastrodon, and Carbink (not at the same time), each OHKOed by Pyra's boosted attacks. "Flannery" angrily sent out her last Pokemon, which was...
 
...with Heatproof, Bronzong cannot be touched by Fire, so your Delphox is useless! You then correct her by saying that Heatproof only halves damage from Fire, not negates it. Caitlin is stunned in disbelief. Pyra then shows her how "useless" she is and obliterates Bronzong with +6 Flamethrower and Bronzong faints. Victory! Pyra is so happy that she not only fought in the Gym, she soloed it, too! Caitlin is defeated, which means another badge! (Sadly, you lost count of how many badges you've won at this point.) You tell her that you're pissed that you're being refused a Badge, or any form of reward just because she didn't bother to tell you that she wasn't a Gym Leader when you specifically challenged her to a Gym Battle. That's Tauros Mulch! She basically lied to you and made you waste your time for nothing! Pyra is pissed too, since she basically did all that hard work for nothing! Caitlin, sensing and fearing your and Pyra's tremendous power and rage, quickly begs for mercy and hands over the Relic Badge from her friend Fantina and a Master Ball. It turns out that she just likes to cosplay as other people, especially Flannery, and in the heat of the battle forgot to tell you the truth. She then points you to the real Flannery. After introducing yourself and asking for a Gym Battle, Flannery gladly accepts your request and you both agree to battle tomorrow. Suddenly, you hear Caitlin scream!
