Since when does the e4 have an affiliated type?
 
well, since always O_o...All E4, except the champion use a similar type of pokemon. Look at Aaron of the E4 with the bugs and the others. (Fire's the exception...there were only 2 Fires possible in D/P.)
 
Lol...Loreli, Agatha, Bruno, Lance, Glacia, Phoebe, Sydney, Drake, Will, Koga, Bertha, Lucian, Flint, Aaron...

Need I go on? All had their respective Pokemon type they mastered.

Not for Shoddy yet Tyranitar. Also, you might want to put 8th Gym Leader Shoddy. The regular EGL still exists. This is just a sub-section.
 
If he's allowed to change to Grass, can I turn into the Dragon Gym Leader?
 
This may be true relating the game. But look at the original EGL thread and the pe2k thread...THERES NO AFFILIATED TYPE with the e4, thats what would make it more of a challenge...-_-
 
E4 can have a theme if you want
 
I think it's already quite a big challenge.. The entire beauty being a gym leader/E4 is having a party of a certain type.

Also, BADGE PLZ. ^_^

Maybe if you looked at Loreli, or Glacia, ice users who have Ice types in all of their teams, you'd understand the E4 DOES have affiliated types. Drake too, most of his team were dragons, as most of you're team will be of the same type. You can have other types. For example, on my Dragon team (if lalapizzame turns to Grass and I can turn to dragon) I have only 3 dragon types, with 3 different other types having nothing to do with Dragon.

Also, E4 is not the last step; Frontier Brains are he true kings.
