The Extreme Speed Open Tournament - Rules and Results

I must be good luck or something cuz quite a few people joined right after I did, including Ooka might I add XD

True that! And we're definitely happy to have you. Looks like we're one step closer to that 35 mark. I believe we now have 29? So 6 more if I'm correct..

Just to give you guys a little segway (apparently not a word?..) into how the tournament format works, you're all going to be awarded 3BP to begin the round with. If you donate a prize, you get +2! So you can start with 5.

Anyway, you need 8BP to reach round two, where only the first 16 to do so are pushed through (so we'd be taking around half the field). To get BP, you wager them in matches. So once we create the Battle Thread, like we have in past ESOs, you post there for matches, not here (you report the results here, hence this being called the Rules/Results thread.)

Example of looking for a battle:

"Hi, I'm looking for a 2BP standard rules, OU singles match."

Remember, you're very much allowed to ask for Little Cup, Ubers, OU, UU, Singles, Doubles, whatever you want for the first few rounds. Whatever you feel comfortable with winning works for us. Just remember, when it comes down to the latter stages, you're gonna have to dish out the power Pokes to stand a chance.

same as last time. i like... should be fun

okay ryan my friend is this guy: Ronald (he told me he wanted to be signed up and i see him everyday so i can make sure he plays his matches)

29

to 30, 5 more to go

I understand all of the rules except this ^. Does this mean Ubers? Or just your strongest Pokemon?

Oh, and can I donate a Pokemon tomorrow? :D

You most certainly can, and I'll be on after 3:30pm to accept it, if you'd like. And no, that just means your cookie-cutter OU teams, not Ubers!

Hey whats up. Is this the tournament umbreon was talking about? I got his advertisement to come here and join a tournament. If this is the place sign me up :P

can i join and when does the tounie start!

Well then Umbreon referred you to the correct spot, because this is definitely the tournament. =] Good to have you.

when do we actualy start the torney?

As soon as we get to 35 sign ups (I believe with these two people signing up we're now at 32, so 3 more!) I'll be sending out PM notifications tomorrow to make sure everyone is still good to go. Then we'll probably start the rumble on Monday!

can i join and when does the tounie start!

You can, and see the above text. ^_^

ok but there is a slight problem i can only battle on friday, saturday and sundays so is that ok with you?

That's perfectly fine. Round One is set up so that you don't have to battle at certain times or against one opponent, you can choose to battle a variety of people whenever you're able to get on.

In fact, Monday is just a possible start date. Seeing as how so many matches in the PC Wifi Tournament we're finished on the first *weekend* of it's start, maybe we'll start next Friday instead.

Even though I'll probably do terrible, I think I'll join. I'll put my FC in my sig sometime soon.

Awesome! And don't doubt yourself, battles in the ESO can be very random at times, anyone could come out on top. It's what makes this tournament so unique and exciting.

That means we only need TWO more entries to set the date for the start of the tournament! SOMEBODY GET'CHO BROTHER.

Hmm, interesting. I suppose that I could join in.

ok then but i do not want everyone to suffer so well you can arange the start day when ever and ill try getting a battle in :)

Hey folks! Due to Ryan and I having a lot of work to do this weekend/early next week, we've decided we're going to start the tournament Friday, March 13th. (Friday the 13th! =O)...Please continue to spread the word about ESO #3 so we can get some more participants. Keep in mind you can still join while round one is in progress. One of us will be sending out mass PM's just to make sure everyone is still active and ready to battle. ;D

Also, just a quick note, prizes are now going to be donated to -Lugia- from now on. If you'd like to donate, be sure to contact him. I'll still be updating the prize post though. If you'd like to sponsor us, you can donate at least three prizes and your shop/profile will be linked to on the prize post. =]

That's right. As prize coordinator for the ESO 3, all prize talk will be directed towards me. But please, when contacting me to donate a prize or stuff, VM me, instead of PMing me. I pay more attention to VMs, so please do so.

And Aura, you can drop the "- -" when calling me. xD

I thought this tourney had started a long time ago. I read it and it sounds interesting so I'll join. FC is in my signature.
