4th Gen The first Pokemon you ever caught in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum?

Yeah, I waited quite a while (relatively speaking) before catching my first Pokemon. XD;

For Platinum: A Shinx.<3

In my Diamond, the first pokemon I caught was a Starley. In my Platinum it was Shinx.

For both pearl and platinum I caught a shinx first.

I think it was a magikarp, because I really wanted a strong water type in my team.

Shinx, which is now my awesome Luxray. I always go around and catch like everything I can find in an area and then later on look up what I can catch. From the start I got Shix, Starly and Bidoof and Shinx and Starly (now Luxray and Starapator) are still in my team, but really who doesn't have a Luxray :P

It was a starly because I remember it making that sound at me that took me back a little. I had been only seeing bidoof prior. I remember emailing a friend of mine about it.

Well your choices for a first pokemon are limited to Starly, Shinx, and Bidoof if you caught your pokemon early on.

I caught Starly first.

you mean starly? *edited the word for you* well starly doe's seem common. Although I don't think my pokemon I caught as a Kricketune seems so common these days as their "first pokemon".

The first pokemon I ever caught in the Sinnoh region was Bidoof. ^^ I was actually pretty happy when I caught it, since it was my first official capture of the 4th gen...
