Are you thinking or hoping that this world we live in will last forever?. Even by the year 3000?.

I be a bit shocked if the world did still move around durning those years. But, by then everyone would be dead. Unless someone invents a "immortal potion" which I doubt will happen anytime soon.
So, what do you think?. Will the world still be going around in the future future?.

Even by the time the sun explodes we'll have found other planets or something along those lines to further our race. That or move into space stations and whatnot. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if the human 'population' is tripled if not more by the year 3000 @ @ I imagine we'll be on Earth, other planets, AND space xD

Just think to how we were 1000 years ago and how we've advanced since then. By the year 3000 we'll have either crossed over to other planets, or destroyed ourselves in one way or another. That's just my opinion though. XD

Well I find it hard to believe the world would exsist forever. If humanity dies well *shrugs*.
But, like I heard before nothing lasts forever. Maybe the world itself will end someday. All the complaints us humans make annoys the world every second if I'm right. I guess life doe's have it's start and ending.

Seeing as I will be long dead by then, I don't bother thinking about what it will be like that far in the future because it doesn't matter to me.
There's no telling what could happen between now and then though.

If you're talking about wars, I doubt humanity is stupid enough to have a war on such a large scale that it's possible we will wipe ourselves out.
If you mean destroy ourselves accidentally, then maybe.

Actually the sun will slowly expand to a Red Giant. That would be bigger then our Solar System alone. Then it will under go "Super Nova" and compress rapidly. From there, it can turn into: A black Hole, a "dwarf" star, or a Neutron Star.

I think we will live until that year. And I am sure that by then, we would have figured out how to travel at nearly light speed. By then, we would have discovered planets that are similar to our own that we can live on. By then, even if the world did meet its termination, it wouldn't matter. Whats a few Billion people dead going to do to mankind if we spread off into multiple galaxies?

The sun is not massive enough to go supernova. It will expand into a red giant, though it won't envelop the entire solar system, just to about the orbit of Earth or Mars.

the sun's diameter is 1,392,000 km long. the distance between the sun and the earth is roughly 1,500,000 km away. Pluto is 4,436,824,613 km from the sun.

The diameter of the Red Giant, "W CEPHEI", is 3,676,200,000. To find the measurement if it where in the center of our solar system, we would need to divide it by 2. That is 183,810,000 km. That would land a little bit after Uranus.

Mars is 228,000 km away from the sun on average. We where both wrong. Good Game.

We would be there, in another planet(Mars?). Since our pop. growth is rising continuously, we would need larger living space. We would survive until approx. 5,000,002,009 or such. If we still survive, we have already conquered the galaxy(by theory), and witness the death of our sun, although it won't be as spectacular as the SN 1987A or the Crab Nebula because it won't go into the Supergiant phase since it's not massive enough. It'll only be a "quiet" planetary nebula(hoping it would surpass the beauty of the Helix! :) )

Uh....

To achieve the supernova phase, a star must be 10 to up solar masses, then I'll go into the Supergiant(or Hypergiant in extreme cases) phase. The star in that mass is massive enough to achieve nucleosynthesis, and when it reach to the point that it can no longer fuse elements(the unfusable elements being iron), it'll "rebound" and the star will go kamikaze.

The remains are either nothing, Neutron star, or if the star is much more massive, a black hole.

Stars in the lowand medium type can only become white dwarves.

Technology advances way too much these days. We'll probably be off the Earth by 2100 into some other planet and let Earth recover naturally, then we can sanely recolonize it for a couple billion years and find other planets before the Sun goes Boom.

No, a time when computers can go from being a tool only useful for business to completely integrated in everyday life in about a decade, for starters. There are a lot of exciting things going on, a lot of great advances in technology. Just in the past two days' slashdot posts, I've read about five or so very exciting stories, ranging from a possible cure for brain/skin cancer to solar-powered e-books.

I see humanity surviving until we become so genetically similar that we just cant really breed successfully anymore. Which, might be prevented if we figure out how to actually make genes instead of just manipulating. In 1000 years there are two possibilities:

1. Some sort of disaster (natural or human-caused) wipes out the majority of the Earth's population of humans and only people in remote parts (African/Siberian/Alaskan/etc tribes) of the world will survive.
2. We spread out across the solar system/galaxy/universe (and/or multiverses?)

We are too widespread to be completely wiped out unless a huge (and by huge I mean over 80%) portion of the biosphere is whipped out.

From what I've studied, I've concluded that the Sun will grow in mass in about 5.5 billion years. By then, it will probably have "swallowed" the Earth and all us humans will die.

It is true that out of all the armies in the world, there are plenty of weapons to destroy every living place on Earth, but I don't think anyone would try to do that.
