The Formulated Challenge

Backstory

Ever since your infancy, you were fascinated by shapes and forms and even more so about the variety of shapes of Pokémon. Out of all those shapes, you seemed to be the most interested in one of them so, by the time you reached the age when you could become a pokémon trainer, you had already decided to only use Pokémon belonging to a certain body style, resembling your favourite shape.
When the big day arrives, you quickly rush to the nearest Lab to get your first Pokémon. After being entrusted a PokéDex and PokéBalls, you tug on the straps of your backpack and excitedly rush towards your adventure.
Which shape did you choose?​

Rules

You may only use Pokémon belonging to a certain body style of your choice.

Your team must have at least three(3) Pokémon in it, excluding HM Users.

You may carry around Pokémon for HM using purposes, but said Pokémon can't be used to battle. HM users can be of any body shape.

You may only hack/trade a Pokémon of your chosen body style in if you can't possibly obtain one by the time you reach the second Gym.

You are not allowed to use Legendary Pokémon.

Your Challenge ends when you defeated the Champion in the game of your choice as follows:

Evolution

If a Pokémon of your choice is able to evolve, but changes body style upon evolution (eg. Koffing->Weezing), you may NOT evolve it.

If a Pokémon doesn't change its body style upon evolving (eg. Voltorb-> Electrode), you are free to evolve it.

If a Pokémon has three(3) stages of evolution with the first and the final form belonging to the same body style category, you may evolve it, but you must reach the final evolution stage as soon as possible.

If a Pokémon you wish to use does not fit the body style of your choice, but its evolved form does, you are free to use it as long as you evolve it as soon as possible.​

Not sure i'll be playing a lot, thanks to the emulator i can speed up when exping, but here is something for the start:
-Starter Mudkip
-Pokémon team: Mudkip, Poochyena, Zigzagoon, Slakoth
-Defeated the first gyms, just have to take the boat. I'll be programming to capture an Aron in the cave, then i should get if i recall well an Electrike.
For now it's a nice and tranquil challenge, i'm enjoying it.

Alright, good start so far.

- Chose Cyndaquil as my starter so I could catch a Caterpie later.
- As soon as I caught Caterpie I deposited Cyndaquil into my PC.
- Leveled Caterpie up until level 8 where he evolved.
- Leveled Metapod up some more, and then realized I would not be able to take Falkner with him.
- Literally searched for a good 10 minutes for a Dunsparce, finally found one.
- Leveled him up to Metapod's level, 13.
- Cleared Falkner easily with only using Rage.
- Got past Route 32, catching an Ekans on the way.
- Leveled Ekans to 13 to match Dunsparce and Metapod.
- Got the Old Rod and caught a Magikarp to evolve into Gyrados.
- Caught Onix on my way through Union Cave.
- Leveled all my Pokemon so they were equal to eachother at level 15.
- Got through Azalea Town.
- Made it to Goldenrod City where I grinded Magikarp (Kill me) to get him to level 20, evolving him into Gyarados.
- Defeated Goldenrod Gym trainers, but left Whitney for later.
- Trained the rest of my Pokemon up to a higher level, except for Ekans.
- Break time!

Played a lot yesterday and got a lot done, so I'll just give a basis of what I did. Note that I'm using an emulator, which is why I'm going so fast.

- Defeated Whitney
- Defeated Morty
- Travelled to Olivine and did the Lighthouse quest
- Defeated Chuck & Eusine in Cianwood
- Came back to Olivine and defeated Jasmine
- Trained Pokemon during this whole time, increasing all of their levels dramatically. (Grind fest)
- Headed down to Mahogany Town
- Defeated the Rockets and met Lance
- Defeat Pryce
- Caught Red Gyarados - yay, more Pokemon I can use!
- Travelled through Ice Path
- Came to Blackthorn
- Used my HM Slave Noctowl to fly to Goldenrod, where I defeated the Rockets again
- Came back to Blackthorn and beat Claire with a combination of my two Gyarados.
- She got all mad and made me go to Dragon Cave to be tested or whatever.
- Passed the test, she gets mad, then awards me the badge.
- Saved there and took a break.
