Yeah I generally mute it and play music in the background. The shows a little insane. I mean human curling with Lucario? (last week) And the dudes that pretended to be benches so people would sit on them or something (Don't speak japanese but that was also last week) I find the show pretty brutal until they have the weekly pokemon battle with a kid...

Also Bluerang, look up TV Tokyo on wikipedia and look for japanese characters that last. It's the last not the first 5...:P

Since we've pretty much speculated the starters to death, what about new moves? Or the Proffeseur? We've saved a proffeseur before, returned lost pokemon. We all want a female one but how are we going to earn our starters? Actually stay at home father with the Proffeseur (Maple?) being your mother all the way!! Then our character would actually have a legit last name!! :P

I said on a few pages back that the professor's (if female) name could be Willow (it's a tree^^) or Cedar..never thought of Maple! Sounds a little old. I want a young professeur that's not too crazy like Birch was :rambo:, but not too wise like Oak is. Hopefully the new proffesor isn't like Rowan either (he sound too serious and sorta mean to me).

Well the plot could be say you were suppose to run an errand for stay-at-home dad to a nearby town, or city, and on the way you run into the new professor who is stranded but can't leave the pokeballs that she has in her truck, so you have to go and contact somebody in the city you're expected to go to. Once all of that is done she'll thank you, and noticing some atribute about you offers you a pokemon.
 
I got it! I think! When Pokemon Sunday airs, I'll have Paint + ImageShack ready to post the screenshot here! :D

Great! But it airs at what 4 p.m. pacific time?...mehh that means it won't be airing here on the east coast till 6 (for me) :(

you mean 7 right east coast is 3 hours ahead of the west coast...

I might as well speculate for the starters just to see if I'm right. I think it would be cool to have a Grass porcupine (not a hedgehog like Shaymin) with pine needles, and also a Fire snake. I can't think of a good Water one...perhaps a hermit crab. We had better not just get the silhouettes. There's really no point, just show the official art.

Wow, this thread is really active. Three other posts were made before I finished mine, and as soon as my post appeared, another one showed up below it xD

i was wondering if that's what you meant by east coast, i think new york though most of the time when i hear East coast. Wonder who will be right about the starters.

hopefullyyyy...the designs we were talking about last night. The tazmanian devil-like fire starter..maybe polar bear for water, and what was it...peacock for grass?

Fire snake?....looks like Arbok will finally have some competition (cuz Seviper sucks imo).

Someone (Or multiple people) mentioned that Luvdisc needs an evolution. Why not give it 2 and make them alternate evolutions? One can be look like a broken heart, and make it part dark type because it's out for revenge! lol. The other can be some bigger, beautiful looking heart, not sure if it would need an second type though.

I remember reading an interview with one of the creators of these games before 4th Gen came out, and the person said that they will evolve in new ways you wouldn't expect. He used Skorupi as an example, as it evolves into something odd looking compared to it. But then the interviewer asked: "Will there ever be another evolution? As in a 3rd evolution?"
And the guy basically said: "Lol, I don't think that is ever going to happen. But you never know... ;) "

Now, I don't think a 3rd evolution for any pokemon is needed, and I also don't see the point really. What do you think PC?

Well i like Seviper, Seviper should have a pre evo and a evo based on the orochi, which has 7 heads... Arbok can turn into a hydra too, they would both look cool if they had those evos.

Uh I think I missed that speculation over the starters xP oh well I'll go back and read the previous posts.

I do wonder about the moves though. My guess is that they will add around 150-200 new moves. Im hoping that we get a 150 base dark move. That would be killer.

Female Professor FTW! I wonder what her name will be (if we get one). Umm Pokemon Professor Ivy? xDD That would be cool if she was in the games though. Maybe we can steal out starters this time (like silver did lol)

woahhh, Seviper is beast, nuff sed :]. Anyways a fire snake sounds cool in theory, but think how much of an impact a fire/poision type will have. Hah it will be even easier to take it down because of its 4x weakness to ground types.

A 3rd evo for skorupi? Well personally I'm not against it but I wonder how it would look...I mean could Drapion get any bigger without looking like a 6' foot monster (its currently around like 4 feet)? I think they should just strengthen skorupi and drapion's learnset instead of giving them new evos.

Now 3rd evolutions for all pokemon wouldn't make much sense. I'd like to see some pre-evolutions too. Does anyone besides me think Tropius and Zangoose deserve one? What about absol? I mean it's awesome but it could be awesomer. I better stop before I suggest evolutions for every pokemon created :).

Though with this generation I want to see more new pokemon and not too many new evolutions for old pokemon. Maybe for the first time since Gen 1 we will see the whole pokedex filled with just new pokemon from that region!!!!
 
hey i just have a question- i have Keyhole TV on right now and channel 70, TV TOKYO is the one pokemon sunday will be on, right?

Im not really expecting pre-evos and evolutions in the 5th generation seeing that one of the creators said that this was like a "rebirth". BUT I do think that Troupius and Zangoose deserve an pre-evo. They're kinda a mysterious pokemon. No one knows where they came from lol.

Absol looks like it would be from black or white doesn't it? Wonder, if they say had an pre-evo for absol on say white, and had another pre-evo that was available on black.

i say tropius zangoose & seviper ^_~ cuz we all know you cant hav zangoose witout seviper lol
