I think Chugoku will be the snowy/mountainous part more than likely, and the shikoku island will probably be tropical. I was hoping for a desert but idk if we will get one. If we do though then I think it should be on the southern-most part of shikoku.

The Maritime provinces are more shapely. And if Newfoundland was ever chosen, we would have Generaton Tree remakes!

yeah Newfoundland is definitely a good shape..I think the region would mainly snowy though. actually most of Canada if broken into smaller areas would make great regions...one could be vancouver island.

The climate of Shikoku is mild and has typhoons in the summer and heavy rain's too, it's connected to other islands through bridges and is connected to Honshu, as in the place Johto and Kanto are partly in, by ferries and air services... as for Chogoku it seems to have sand dunes so maybe if this is the real place the region is based on then it might have a desert! for those people who like dead sand boxes, with lots of wind,ect. look at this site [FONT=&quot]https://www.discover-japan.info/japan_regions_chugoku.htm

Chugoku has sand dunes! so maybe this could be used as a the desert you wanted... I want all of use to get at least one wish in these new Gen... i get a region that might be next to Hoenn and you might get your desert this is great:D.

According to the above Japanese News Blog, which has been posting other respectably true information about other things, has apparently posted information leaks from Corocoro. No pictures yet though.

In summary:

1) New battle system is like Super Mario RPG, where pressing the button at the right time increases the damage, but decreases it if your timing is wrong.

2) New region is based off Chugoku-Shikoku just like that brilliant guy a few pages back theorized.

3) The Grass starter is named Kaedenta, the Fire starter is called Cowen (Probably not Cow-related, that's just the romanization. It's actually closer to Kouen.), and the Water starter is called Rakkoru.

4) There is some sort of restriction on trading rare Pokemon over from the previous games. A time limit or something.

5) Zoroa is obtained from trading the Lock Capsule over from HG/SS.

6) Zoroa/Zoroark can transform their appearance to that of other Pokemon.

Some of this may be mistranslated thought, not to mention that it may be fake, so take it with a grain of salt and some pepper.

This had better be fake or I'm gonna be REALLY angry. There's no need to mess with a major part of the basic battle system they've been using the past 4 generations. It's supposed to be a turn based battle so I don't want to have to worry about timing. #6 I had expected, and if the fire one is a cow I'll be fine with that too.

Still, I'm gonna laugh when this is all proven to be a hoax.

just noticed something else about that link you gave up MRAS, there are 8 regions in japan and since they may be combining two I guess that leaves us with 2 more before they venture outside of Japan.

Hoenn and Sinnoh are forever #1 to me (I can't decide between 'em for top place)...It will be tough accepting a new region as better but I'm sure I will at least rank the new one above Sinnoh too, well if it comes out good.

yeah... we might get those two next gen if they begin to make each gens region bigger than the next... Sinnoh was the biggest region yet... followed by either Hoenn or kanto... think Hoenn is bigger though but i'm not sure... and Johto is the smallest.

In order from largest to smallest regions:
1) Sinnoh
2) Hoenn
3) Kanto
4) Johto

but if you combine Kanto and Johto then they'd probably leap ahead of Hoenn. If chugoku and shikoku are the new region then they will probably be the 2nd largest. Imagine when they make the r/s/e remake..if you start off in Hoenn and venture over to the new region (should we call it a mega-region?)..that would be a lot of gameplay!

Hoenn didn't have snow, did it? Unless you are referring to the ashes from Mt. Chimney.

that is why I said Hoenn's climatex10. If it has snow then it will have virtually every climate type that has been introduced to the games, beating out Hoenn's climate.

a RSE remake isnt going to happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its unnecessary!!!!!!!!!! it will never happen!!!! RB/G and GSC got remade for compatibility! RSE is already compatible with the new games via pal park!!!! RSE will not be remade anytime soon if at all!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well it will happen!!!! Nintendo loves money!!! they will continue with the remake pattern as long as they make money!!!! Plus what about DSi owners they can't get their pokemon to pal park!!!! And besides it would be a bother to transfer your pokemon from Gen 3 games to gen 4 then transfer them to gen 5!!!!! That would be really annoying!!!!

How do you know, gen 5 will most likely be comparable to only gen 4 games... by trade i think similar to gen 1 to 2 transfers. Plus the people with a dsi won't be able to transfer gen 3 pokemon to gen 4 then do that to gen 5!
Plus the new players don't know about Hoenn, which I find sad:'(...

PS: I own a DS lite not a DSI but i do speak for them, as i care about other pokemon fans.
