It's an apdaptation of a Sea Otter for sure.

Treecko? Really? I can't see it, they're entire body shape is different and this Pokemon's colour scheme is much better. It's like some people are just determined to dislike them >.<

So I love the Fire and Grass starter so far. My first impression on the water starter wasn't great (maybe cause it's frowning) but it's cuteness is growing on me!!

Not really. I already said I like them but the grass one DOES have an air of Treeko about it.

I agree about the water starter though, its the perfect amount of cute for a starter.

Yeah, I love them all now. I am just really eager to see their final evolutions, and if we get some more screenshots maybe we can tell if "PokePartner" will return. Also, I love how the Water Starter hugs that sea shell! Cute...

Anyway, my thoughts:
Grass: Like it, definitely the one I'll be choosing. Wish it was a duck though, looks like something from Horton Hear's a Who. Might evolve to Grass/Fighting.

Fire: Wish it wasn't a pig, more of a made up creature, but still cool :) I like it. Might evolve to Fire/Ground meaing Water owns it, but looks also like yet another Fire/Fighting, black belt much?

Water: Don't like it. I really don't, it even has a shell on it! Might evolve to Water/Ice, Ground or Fighting.

Male Protagonist: I like his look so far.

Female Protagonist: I'm in love!!! She's so purrty and definitely the PokeAthelete type, looks like they carried that on.

Region: Loving it modern look!

I told you guys we'll see the protagonists and more game play with this issue :P The Sprites are horrible though! Better be Beta D: And when I saw the protagonist art at first, I knew they, the girl especially, couldn't be 10, glad to here that they're older :) Probably 12-14. Also, I like how they're not holding PokéBalls, I had to incorporate those into my art because Dawn, Lyra, Ethan, Lucas, etc, all were holding one. My Protagonist Speculation art:

Anybody else get the feeling that the male protagonist is VERY similar to Red?

Either way, I definitely approve of the designs of the two playable characters, much better than that we have seen in recent games, hope to see some full body art soon. However the starters... they're okay I guess, I suppose they'll grow on me likeSinnoh's did. I was expecting better, but I can settle for this.

According to Serebii that Grass Pokémon has some relation to a grass snake -> It could end up being the only starter Pokemon to have no legs if it loses them during evolution!

Anyone else think that the water type sucks looks like a retarded clown mixed with a bear...I'm getting the Grass starter so the Rival gets the Fire and I never have to set my eyes on that ugly thing again...man the fan art was SOOOOOO much better than these...I hope they are fakes

Grass will get you a legless awesome looking Grass/Dragon serpent final evolution.

Fire will get you a fire/dark raging boar of awesome.

Water. . .well. . .*shakes head and walks away*

Overall I hope the evolutions are better than the base, because so far, not a big fan.

i like the grass lizard, & the fire is alot better lookin that i thought!


but still protagonists who look like me&my fiancee O.o" thats just creepy...... not that i mind, i guess it could be an honor, but still! how the F*** they know i look like that wit an afro, i purposefully shaved my head bald for 6months to make everyone for get about it -_-" then i removed all photos & destroyed them :P

A retarded clown mixed with a polar bear is a bit different than a mime/clown mixed with an otter.

I'm skeptical about these, 'Trickery' seems the wrong word for the description... its analysing not tricking :S

Also 'Claw Sharpen'? We already have normal 'Sharpen'.

Although those moves aren't concrete yet as they didn't come from CoroCoro, so they might be total rubbish ><

I wish people would STOP talking about how bad the water starter looks. I for one think it looks good. It's different. Better than any of the others in my opinion.
