I missed a whole lot of stuff while I was gone. Maybe someone already asked this but what is up with Kanto and Johto being here?

It's comparing the regions.
The newest region is far away from Sinnoh, Johto and Kanto.

(also, Male protagonist is mah avvie now)

I'm not too fond of the guy trainer though. He reminds me of a friend who always looks high XD, and even has the same long hair. I'm glad that they are older though.

Now that we know the starters, I guess it's okay to try and at least predict what their types will be.

Since Tsutaya is a grass snake I predict it will be either grass/poison or grass/dark.
Pokabu is a fire pig so it might be fire/ground or fire/rock.
Mijumaru (too cute ^^)...hmmm I think it will just be water (which I am perfectly fine with) since I can't think of anything else that a sea otter could be.

Though I could be wrong for all of them. They all could just be pure water, fire, and grass types. Won't know till their evos are revealed.

The water starter is growing on me. I never disliked him, I was just really confused by him. Poor little guy, hopefully his final evolution will have an ugly duckling effect.
I love all three of them. ^-^

Yeah at first it was a shocker, then that shock weared off after the first like ten seconds and now I love it! The grass starter, Tsutaya, I will have to get use to though.

Personally I love both the Fire and Grass starters and the water is growing on me every second!! I don't see how anyone sees Polar Bear or ice in it I mean look at it's feet and tail, there's no bear in it. It's ears are another good example...I have no idea what it's secondary type will be. The starters are on par with the second gen starters, which were favourite. (first evolutions)

Every view of the region I get makes me more and more excited, I mean it just looks awesome!! Train tracks? In the Forest? YESSSSS!! But...where do they lead...?

Regardign the dark skinned person, let me say this again so we can speculate:

• Will they have a Trainer Class to their own?
• Will they be one in each Trainer Class? (Breeder, Maniac, etc)
• Will they still be the normal Trainer Classes but with individual Trainers (their Sprites are individual to them)?
• Will there be no more Trainer Classes but individual Trainers (Like everyone would be their own person... if you get me.)?

I prefer the last one; to avoid controversy, the third one would be way more practical against the first two.

Looking for what others think about this.

Hmmm, imo I'd rank them above since I never got to experience the excitement of playing gen 2 when it first came out.

Was there a dark-skinned person in the scans? I didn't see one..so I'm kinda confused on what you guys were speculating about with this issue a few pages back. So you're asking if a dark-skinned trainer would be just like the others? please clarify for me. If there is a dark-skinned person you bet I'm choosing them..together with mijumaru we'll be unstoppable :D

Yeah I'm thinking pure water at the moment, certainly not Ice if you ask me!! I'm not a huge fan of the ruffles but Mijumara is just so wuvable and snuggable and I know it's going to have a bad ass evo. =D

Please change this Game Freak, make the sprites in those scans better, also for Zorua and Zoroark. And make them more polished than pixelized.

I just hope that the middle-one isn't like Prinplup (my least fav evo of the piplup family). and yeah I want to start playing now too but we have to wait till next year :'(. I think it's just beta or the scanning quality. The one of the girl running on the train tracks looks fine to me. I expect improvement. Pokemon usually does pretty well graphically.

I don't watch them either but I still want plot details, or whether it's tropical, mountainous or what!! One of those big overhead maps that are drawn like the ones they have for Johto, Kanto and Sinnoh in the top left corner of the scans. Those always get me pumped up!!

I think this is the first time I've liked all three starters, which makes me very, very excited to see the rest of the new Pokemon.
Gen 1: I liked all of the starters but I wasn't crazy about any of them. They were all about 5/10 for me.
Gen 2: I love Cyndaquil but I'm not crazy about Chikorita or Totodile.
Gen 3: I love Treecko but I don't really like Mudkip or Torchic.
Gen 4: I love Turtwig and Piplup but Chimchar never appealed to me.
Gen 5: Hell yeah! :D

I'm hoping we will lose 'classes' completely so there will just be loads of random trainer sprites, of which however-many will be coloured :)

It's hard to tell, I mean the hands and what not look darker but it is still a back sprite. I did some looking through other pictures though and the only repeat sprites I saw were those of the Pokemart employees, the people on the second floor of the Pokemon Centre and the caped dudes in the city (most likely grunts)

Wow Pokemon's first truly dark-skinned person!!!:laugh: I think there will be more of them (there can't just be one in the whole game) and I'm sure we'll see some trainers too. They will probably be grouped in with other trainer classes. The thought of eliminating trainer classes is awesome but making details for every trainer you encounter would take too much time.Hmm, do you think there will be more character customization this time around? Well obviously they've chosen the clothing but I'm wondering if they put a dark-skinned person in the game, then maybe they will let you select your skin tone and all at the beginning. Either way I'm still psyched about this new region (the excitement finally kicked in!)

It's a traffic cone I believe, looks like a construction site so that works ><
