The Good Old Days? Or The 'Orrible Original Series?

Kanto, Orange Islands, and Hoenn~. <3

Johto was okay, but I hardly watched any of the episodes when they originally aired on TV.
Most of them I've seen online over the last couple of years, just to see what I missed.

I loved the first two seasons, and I really liked AG/Hoenn as well.

The original series has a biiiig win over D/P, which I don't care for much at all.
Part of that is probably the VA changes, dub-wise anyhoo. ;~;
 
in my opinion, the series really started to slide after Battle Frontier, before that, the voices weren't terrible. I actually liked the series before then. The only episode I've watched of D/P BD was where May came back for the contest.
 
Kanto, Orange Islands, and Johto are by far the best seasons of Pokemon. The mixture of Ash, Misty, and Brock was great, Team Rocket was not so annoying, and the non-stop laughing was the cherry on top!

No, I'm not downing DP, but stating that alot of people logged into pokemon in DP and don't know about the good ol' days of pokemon, for example

Kid:I watched a bit of Master Quest and it's retarded.

The episode plots themselves are really flabby, and lack basic constuction. Not to mention those Team Rockets interrupting the show in every single episode in the book when it is most inconvenient, which makes a already **** series even more ****. I'd rather see them fly a plane into the Empire State Building than watch another Pokemon theft attempt! I used to root for these guys. I'm not saying I hate Pokemon. I grew up with it as a kid, and I loved it. But whoever crafted these new episodes is just braindead stupid. They make it like it's a spinoff of Nick Jr. It's because it sucks, it sucks because it's poor, and it's poor because the people who wrote it suck at writing cartoons for middle school students and should just stop it. I mean it. Satoshi Tajiri, if you or any of friends read this, you have just screwed up. Pokemon has just crossed a very thick line between watchable and unwatchable and likeable and unlikeable. I can't even watch it anymore because of how it is. Thank you for reading my rant.

I'm sorry about what I said earlier. I guess I was just mad the night I wrote this(what is was, I can't remember). I hope you can accept my apologies.

THE ORIGINAL.

For just about everything. The nostalgia value in that show is just insane; everyone was into it too. I miss Misty too...the fact that Gym Leaders traveled with Ash made it even more amazing. Back then, Team Rocket wasn't corny and that predictable either, it was fun to see what they'd think of next. Ash actually had a RIVAL which he seems to have lost nowadays... Also, those Gym Leader battles were intense. I'll never forget the whole Saffron Gym scenario. AND NO STUPID POKEMON CONTESTS. I hate pokemon contests in the anime >_____>;;

That's about it.

I can't agree or disagree. I've only seen a few of the episodes including Misty and May.

Maybe if Ash got some of his old pokemon back (and his voice) and more kanto people visited once and a while, us Kanto lovers and nostalgics would like it more, but I like Dawn, it goes like this:Misty (1st), Dawn (2nd), May (3rd). I hope I can bring the DPs' and the Kantos' (like me) together (Except for those who like Ash's new voice), please try to get along and don't insult each other (I sound like a mod...).
 
I prefer the original series, by far. I can't stand anything from Advanced onward x_x The story, voices, everything from the original were much better, in my opinion. It had much more originality, and seemed like more thought was put into the story lines then the later episodes. And the personalities didn't seem like they were cut out with a cookie cutter, they actually seemed different and easier to relate with. So yeah, original series by far <3
 
I liked the Kanto and Orange Island seasons the best. Better Voice Actors, and better Background Music. But in general the whole show needs to cut out some of the filler material between the gyms and get rid of this whole mess of contests.

That's why I watched pokemon all day when that old episode marathon was on. ^^

Team Rocket was much cooler in the old episodes, too.
I truly miss Arbok and Weezing.
And they left for some of the stupidest reasons.

Until they make the newer episodes like the old ones,
I'll just keep wishing I had a DVD of all the old episodes.

I'm not saying the newer anime is bad, I quite enjoy watching new dubs every saturday :3
it's just that I perfer older episodes.
and the true voice actors.

the original was plain better. My friends love sinnoh,when i say i like Johto they say

whats a Johto?Where do you catch it O.o

and since i live in the Uk i saw a bit of K anto and saw orange islands and Johto. I loved them! As you can think most of my friends just started liking Pokemon,they bow down to Arceus because of its 'immense power'. i beat histeam of six Arceuses! yes most have action replays. I will never use action replay though. Only two of my friends are like me and love the original. Dont get me wrong i like D/P games but the show is just meh.
 
im gonna have to say kanto just because it was i always watched religiously as a kid and it has my favorite episodes when the ship sinks and they go to giant pokemon island. Also team rocket actually fought back when they faced the group. Now its seviper poison tail pikachu dodges and thunderbolts and they explode. And of course the pokemon original opening and the pokerap!!

In an order i would list

1. Kanto
2.Sinnoh
3.Hoenn/battle frontier
4. Johnto
5. Orange Islands (die tracy)
 
Let's just face it, the newer, the better. Addiction to the original is a sign you don't have good memory. Or you just don't like me. But the newer series is still better
