The hardest Super Mario Game

I thought Mario Sunshine was the hardest Mario game to date.

I just completed Mario Bros 1 on SNES , World 8-4 final fight was easier than world 6-4 , i didn't die once, and on world 6-4 I died 5 times or something.

All-Stars version I take it?

Hammer Bros. in World 8 give me problems

Super Mario Bros. Lost Levels For sure is the hardest.

The Famicon version of Lost Levels is the hardest. Roll bad stage design, poison mushrooms, and even more bad stage design together to get the hardest Mario game to date. If you managed to beat worlds A-D on the Famicon version I consider you a gaming god.

I'm stuck at 4-4. Then my cart decided to wipe itself. So I decided to go get the Wii version. And start again. But if you think the Famicom version is bad, try the version on SM Deluxe on the GBC. HALF THE LEVELS AREN'T EVEN FINISHED. How do you expect to beat that? lmao

Hardest to me is definitely SMB: Lost Levels. That's the only one I own that I still haven't beaten (I own the All-star version, which is supposed to be a lot easier due to saving every level).

All the other Mario games are pretty easy though.

Besides Lost Levels, the Japanese release of SMB3 is fairly difficult. Harder than the domestic version, for sure.

Because of the powerdown sequence differences? Going from a powered-up form right to small Mario instead of Super Mario inbetween?

Yeah, for some reason that screws me up. I'm good at the US version and all, but that's a stumbling point for me. :/
