I snorted and said to the brat "Hit me with your best wind attack. Let's see if you're as good as you think you are." I was already clearing my mind, finding the storm inside the calm inside the storm of my mind.

I was watching Master Atsuna and Nic.I wanted to see them fight.in my mind there was chaos.the chaos was saying "Fight!fight!fight!fight!fight!"

Nic shrugged.
Although it was against his principles to pick fights with people of higher authority, he didn't really have a choice.

-As long as you don't kill me, I'm fine...

There were some loopholes in his statement; thus Nic took full note and decided to make use of them.

Preparing the jutsu, he made a few extra seals at the start- since the instructor would probably have never seen that jutsu before, he would treat it as one full jutsu, not two jutsus performed together. And in fact...

As the first jutsu was done, with just a few simple seals, the sound became louder.

The requiem- he wouldn't have risked it without another layer of cacophony, but the class was already noisy enough.

It was only about a second or so anyway. The second jutsu was completed as easily, and consisted only of controlling wind direction through leaking chakra into the air. Like a conductor, one could control the rise and fall of the wind.

The wind increased in speed- and as a result, the sound grew louder. Although it masked the melody, it would still affect on a subconscious basis- and being ignored was the whole point of that jutsu.

Flicking a few needles into the air, he allowed them to ride the currents of wind, penetrating through the wall behind the instructor. Ahh... of course, his aim wouldn't be so bad normally, but who was to know? A few more needles... and he kept missing, pretending to curse and keep trying again. The whole idea was to prolong the period.

In the flow of wind, he could sense the instructor using a shield (of wind too, it came as a slight shock) to ward off projectiles. Not that it mattered, of course.

Pausing, he did another hand seal, to allow the flow of wind to be sensed with greater precision, in case the instructor decided to end it- allowing him to evade. Once completed, he continued his barrage of needles with slightly greater accuracy, allowing one in a few to strike the target- giving the impression that the jutsu was to allow better accuracy. As expected, it glanced off, but he persisted, his accuracy apparently becoming worse in his "rage".

OOC: Refer to my sign up post thingy for the effect of that first jutsu ^^

I knew better than to underestimate anyone who used wind for attack. People laughed at me for it often enough. Until the found themselves sliced cleanly in two or worse. So many in the village did not know about the cruelst of my jutsus, the ones I kept well-hidden from everyone. I saw no reason to reveal them here. Drawing my focus inward, ignoring the melody and the needles, I began running through the hand signs in rapid-fire succession. Tiger, Ox, Ram, Rooster...It went on, this jutsu was a complex one, even for one of my talents. I finished on Dragon. Aiming the vacumn, I pointed towards the impudent's left hand. It was toned down, but still had the potential to break bone.

OOC: The whole point of the Requiem jutsu is to be ignored XD... I assume your attack was the wind dragon one?
Btw, that isn't exactly how vacume works... oh well ^^
--
The range of sense had extended far enough... the attack was probably weakened out of compassion? Unwillingness to kill a student? Or possibly the jutsu was already taking a slight effect?

He cringed back in pain, but tried to ignore it as far as possible.

Seems that the instructor was putting more into this battle than he had expected.

He made a move, and taunted;
-That's just my left hand. I still have my right hand.

Since the only instruction was using wind based attacks against him, other jutsus not against him would naturally be allowed.

-Filter no Jutsu!

The only non air based technique in his repitore, Nic seldom used it. Although one hand had broken bones, it was fortunate that the seals required could still be performed using the wind to shift the position of the fingers. More chakra consuming, but still enough.

Hiding from the opponent, he bided his time. Being in a classroom, there were many objects, allowing easier evasion.

OOC: Adding more Kaze jutsus to the list ^^

<OOC>Zen philosiphy: Focus by not focusing. I don't think, therefore I exist, etc. etc. I know that's not what a vacumn does. It's not the vacumn that damages, it's the force of the air falling back in.<OOC>
"Brat" I snarled. He was proving a minor challenge. I wanted this over with, ad I wanted it over with soon. No jutsu I was willing to use, though, would prove effective right now. So I began biding my time, slowly shutting out input from mmy external senses and allowing my instincts to tell me when he would attack, or whatever the brat was planning.

OOC: The focusing bit is kinda confusing XD anyway, I don't know if what you intend shuts out the Requiem jutsu now, since sound travels through any medium and it isn't meant to be heard directly (a stealth Jutsu)... I'll leave it out from this post then.

Using the shadows, he shifted his position out of the class. Moving to above the roof, he emerged and concentrated, launching a small spray of needles through the roof where he expected the instructor to be.

Naturally, this would reveal his position, thus while launching, he moved away. Although this meant that the needles could not mantain the same acceleration throughout (using the sniper technique, he could constantly raise the acceleration to a certain point, then mantain at that velocity), the whole point of the needle was to irritate.

OOC: Please note that at this point, my character only has the most basic of his techniques; just launching limited total mass of faster and harder hitting projectiles, hiding in shadows and his music jutsu. The other techniques will be introduced through the course of the RP.

"Pathetic" I muttered, leaping straight up and using my Mamoru jutsu to block the attack with a few simple hand motions. Tracking the movement of the source carefully, I twisted in midair and launched five shuriken at it.

OOC: ...Wtf...?!
--
It seemed that someone had distracted the instructor.

Taking the chance, Nic experimented with a new jutsu. There was no time to wait for the requiem jutsu to take effect, since this might be the last chance to attack properly. While he was being distracted, Nic changed the course of motion slightly, and accelerated downwards.

-Kaze! Meteor!

He tackled where the instructor was, before realising that the instructor had moved off. That attack missing, there wasn't much chance left, since by this time he was quite exhausted.

igaru quickly jumped aside evading the attack "ugh! maybe i should just let them continue, whatever the outcome someone might die.... o well this cant be stopped" igaru walked over and continued to watch teh two battle it out

OOC: Igaru? Oh and, this RP will be very short because it's the Academy part. Say it'll end at about post 100

Natsu stared in amazement, Nic, the best student was fighting his Chuunin, Atsuna-Sensei. Even Atsuna was facing a little trouble against Nic. Natsu sat down. Nic was going to pass the next Genin Exam... was Natsu going to? And Natsu thought he was the strong one... His Grandpa and Grandma are 2 of the Legendary San-Nin... [On his mother's side] How could he lose now?

The battle was going to end soon. Atsuna-Sensei's Stamina was outrunning Nic's. Nic might fall anytime. Natsu looked at Nic's body. He was going to fall anytime soon. Feeling courage in him, he ran over to stop the battle.

"Atsuna-Sensei!" Natsu called. He tugged the sleeve of his Instructor.
"Nic's had enough, he might die!"

Natsu dragged the body of Nic (:P) along the wooden planks, Nic's lips were pale as his clothes.

Grey hair... a green shirt, a red overall... A Pervert! Natsu's Grandpa, Jiraiya! He stared from outside the window at his grandson's actions, keep an eye for the girls too. Jiraiya nodded his head. Natsu did the right thing. He was reminded of his former student, Naruto, now the 7th Hokage. He took out his binoculars, focusing them on a few girls in Natsu's class.

"Life..."

OOC: Hmm nothing much seems to be happening at the moment... *cries*

He lost the battle.

As he passed out, he wondered if that was a good thing or a bad thing. Maybe if he had won, the others would have ostracized him... drifting between wake and sleep, he fought to regain consciousness.

At the sight of Nic passing out, Licca immediately rushed towards him, following shortly after Natsu did. She pouted at Atsuna, exasperated that he went a little too harsh on him. "Natsu is Nic going to be alright?" She inquired worriedly, glancing at his rather pale visage.

As dense as she was, she could clearly see that he was struggling to awaken, which made her shake him over and over, doing the only thing she could to help him.

Feeling people around him, he struggled to wake up.

-...Must...fight... I will... not lose...

He found it difficult to open his eyes.

Then, he remembered.

That jutsu he did some time back... right now everyone would be distracted... since he was unconscious... he had not turned off the Requiem.

Checking to make sure his Chakra usage was still constant, he continued to stay put while the instructor would not attack him, since he was "badly injured and unconscious".

OOC: I'll just end it here... Just do a few posts on getting home and waaaam. It's the end.
The Hokage, Uzumaki Naruto walked in.

"Well done, Students of Konoha." Naruto said, scratching his head. "Congratulations and hope you make it to Genin... And hope you're instructor good luck as he will be taking part in the Jounin exam. If he passes, he might be your sensei again."

Naruto ended his speech and left.

"Are you sure he's the Hokage?" Natsu said in awe, amazed by Naruto's 'un'serious speech.

OOC: *jaw drop* It just ends here?
Anyway, The Adamant Dodger hasn't been posting here but has been posting elsewhere... has he forgotten the battle? Oh well, I'll end it so that I can go home XD
--
-Atsuna...sensei...... I have... something.... to... tell... you...

He tried to drag himself over. Atsuna-sensei wasn't really interested in him at the moment.

Just perfect.

With the last of his strength and Chakra, he used his unbroken hand and wind jutsu, plunging his Kunai as far into Atsuna sensei's foot as possible.

-Got you, baka.

He felt his arm get broken by something, and passed out completely.

OOC: Yes it does... Need a new name for the next RPG though...

Blood dripped from the Kunai. Natsu stared in awe. He was led outside as he left the Academy.

Results due next week. I better keep checking my mail box.

OOC: We really need people to post if we are to have a thriving RP...
I hope no one minds if I skip over some time?
--
Nic woke up some time later. He appeared to be in a bed, with both him arms in slings.

Someone spoke.

"That was a rather silly thing to do. Now both your arms will take some time to heal- Atsuna sensei got quite upset and took it out on you. Don't worry though, your act impressed some of the others and you've been allowed to reach the next stage of your education, although you're missing your classes right now."
