After viewing this thread, I have the sudden urge to spend a few days replaying the Ruby.

D8 The force is strong with this one. Curses.

I love me some Pokemon Ruby. Good times. ; ;
 
I think me likes Saphire better, but for some reason I like Team Magma more. I hate open water, love land, so that may be why.

Ruby was cool though. I liked using Zangoose a lot....a LOT.
 
I prefer Team Manga myself, for much the same reason. That and.. they had better outfits. xD;

And same, that thing was so handy to have in party.

Could have done without the hoods...their tops looked a lot like Bolero Jackets...which is odd to have in a volcano.

Zangoose was very handy with Norman. GOD I hated him in Ruby & Saphire.
 
Baw. I liked the hoods.. but I agree. With as much they hung around volcanoes, you'd think they'd dress cooler. >_> Ah well. Pokemon logic ftw.

I don't remember how difficult Norman was, but chances are.. he managed to make me rage more than once.
 
He was easier in Emerald?

Seems a bit ironic, since.. generally Emerald was supposed to be harder. Ah well.
Too me, Platinum was easier then Diamond.. buuut that's going off-topic, I suppose. xD;

Maybe you were just more prepared for him in Emerald?

(It was actually harder to me. xD)

Anywho, yes, he was easier. He only had one Slaking, and a Vigoroth, which made it a bit easier. And his Pokemon were downed in levels. Plus, his Spinda spent its time Teeter Dancing, so its easier to boost Pokemon with X attack etc etc.
(went into UBER nerd mode there)
 
Ahahah.. I don't remember battling him in Ruby or Emerald, so I didn't remember that he was lowered in difficulty. Maybe GameFreak decided to let us off easy with him that time..
