The Island of Time

Legendary Pokémon are scattered throughout the entire Pokémon world. Each of them living for different purposes, but all of them wanting peace throughout the regions. While there have been many clashes between the legendary Pokémon, in the end they always agree to keep the peace. However, if someone was to mess with time it's self, the future of the Pokémon world would become grim and would always rest within the chosen ones hands.

After the destruction of Team Magma, Team Aqua and Team Galatic, the leaders of each company decided that it would be best for them all to become one unity, put aside their differences and work together to gain their most prized goal, rule the world of Pokémon. The newly formed ''Team Dimension'' quickly rose to power within the world and soon, they started to take control over certain parts of each region. As much as the trainers and heroes within the Pokémon world tried to fight back, it was no use. Team Dimension had used their newly made warp balls and had captured some of the strongest and rarest Pokémon. Against their will, the captured Pokémon were used to force off the enemy, and to take over areas, even where they had once lived.

Shortly after becoming the most feared and most wanted group in all the regions, Team Dimension decided that they would move onto phase two of their plan. The capturing of the legendary Pokémon had began. They moved under the cover of the night so that they wouldn't be found out. When they arrived at the cave where Mew and it's clone, Mew Two were hiding, the two of them had managed to avoid detection and had quickly teleported from the cave. However, the legendary birds, Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres, were captured and taken to the secret hideout. The three of them were captured with the warp balls and became corrupted. They were used in the battle against Dialga and Palkia. Both of them were slowly tormented until they had reached their limits.

Now that they had caught their main targets, Team Dimension forced Dialga to use it's ability to control time. Fusing that power with Palkia's space control ability, an island was created out in the middle of the ocean. It was named ''The Island of Time'' by the groups leaders. On the island, they stored the captured Pokémon, even the legendaries. Over time, even wild Pokémon had moved onto the island in the middle of no where. It became the main headquarters for Team Dimension and their allies. After having a psychic vision of the future of the Pokémon world, and seeing that only ruins of the once beautiful land remained, Mew and Mew Two sent out a telepathic call for help to the most promising trainers throughout all regions. Asking them to help them in the battle against Team Dimension, and to regain control over the Pokémon world. Now it would all come down to the chosen ones. Would they accept or decline the call for help?

Summary: At the start of the RPG, we, the trainers will be within the Sinnoh region. You may be from any other region, but you must currently be within the Sinnoh region. Either it be adventuring, gym battling or any other reason.

Hey all, this is my first RPG so i'll try to make it as good as possible! If you have any ideas for the storyline or for your character, let me know!

Personality: Alex is not the most perfect teenager in the world but he is certainly not the worst. Growing up, he was pretty much a trouble maker from the day he was born. He had trouble listening to what people told him to do and he would always disobey almost everyone. Some people would say that he was just doing it for attention because his parents wasn't the type to give him everything he wanted. But Alex was just that way...And he would always be. Alex would always be with the older kids when he was in school. Hanging out with kids his age made him feel weak and being with older kids made him feel important. From the get go, Alex and his parents were distant, they never really spent time together as a family and that made him drift away more. Being strong was the only thing that was important to him. He would do almost anything to feel stronger than those around him.

But Alex wasn't always like this. Deep down he had a softer side to him and he was a caring person who wanted good things for his family and friends. Though he would hardly ever show this side because where he grew up most people found emotion a weakness. To feel sorry for someone was a sign of being weak and that they wasn't worthy of hanging out with the stronger ones. He has some sarcasm to his tone and will use his temper to get out of tough situation. He was pretty well known as being a ''lone wolf'' when he was younger because he spent quite a lot of time on his own, away from other kids. He's loud and can easily back up what he says. With his strong will and calm and collected mind he can easily use his strength to his advantage. When Alex encountered his first Pokémon, his life had took a sudden change. He became quite cheerful and active. Alex is more than willing to help out a person in need, however his thrill for power is still somewhat remaining. Since he changed, Alex became somewhat shy around new people. Even though he does try to hide it, he can be nervous about personality.

Appearance: His look just gives off a kind, polite and helpful aura. He tries not to stand out as much as possible, so he wears pretty average clothing...Ok just kidding. Alex LOVES to stand out in the crowd. Just because he enjoys training and gets all his work done on time, doesn't mean he has to look like a complete weirdo. He has a pretty hardcore fashion sense, and everyday he has a new look. He may be shy when it comes to his personality, but boy does Alex go all out when it comes to his looks. His hair is rarely changed from the ''rough'' look because he feels that it suits him, and wouldn't change it for anyone. He loves to wear jeans which have the dirt effect on them, and t-shirts. His favorite color to wear for his t-shirts is either green or violet. He also wears two white colored wristbands on his left wrist. He has a beaded necklace on all of the time, and he has his left ear pierced with a blue stud. He carries with him a navy colored backpack for which he carries all his items. Around his waist he has a cream colored belt with special pokeball holders on.

He has lightly toned brown hair which is medium length. He hates getting it cut, as it takes a long time to grow back to the length that he likes. He has emerald colored eyes which he admires since emerald eyes are pretty rare. He stands at 5'8 and believes that his height is perfect for the sort of person he is. He weighs 163 lbs and he thinks that it's a steady balanced weight for his height. He takes great care of his body and works out as often as he can.

History: Not much is known about Alex's past, except that his parents were both members of Team Aqua. Alex was born in the city of Goldenrod. He was raised quickly, and missed out on most of his childhood due to his parents being loyal to Team Aqua and that they were moving around everywhere. However, Alex would always think of Goldenrod city as his home. At night, the city would always be bright with the lights from all the buildings. It was one of the busiest cities within the Johto region. The trainers school for tough from day one because of Alex's angry personality. None the kids really wanted to bond with him and this left him alone for most of the time.

When he graduated from the first class, he moved up into the advanced battle classes because of how well he was able to battle with Pokémon. It was one of the reasons why people started to talk to him. They would come to him for advice and how to improve their techniques. Outside of the trainers school, Alex hated Pokémon, but due to his parents forcing him to attend the school, he had to pretend to like them. He had other plans for his future that didn't include Pokémon. But when Alex encountered a wild Caterpie being ganged up on by a pack of Houndour, Alex's life changed. He saved the Caterpie, and managed to scare away the pack of Houndour.

After finally graduating from the trainers school at the age of 12, Alex found out that his parents were part of a criminal company that were after one of the legendary Pokémon. At first, Alex didn't pay any attention to what they were telling him, but after he found out what Team Aqua were planning, he couldn't stand by anymore. He ran away from home and decided to start his Pokémon adventure without telling them. Even though they were his parents, Alex made a promise that he would stop Team Aqua, but his plans were cut short when Team Aqua were destroyed and most of the members arrested. Within the next three years, Alex had traveled the entire region of Johto and the region of Kanto. Now finding himself in the region of Sinnoh, word had reached him about the newly formed Team Dimension. He knew his parents would both be apart of it. But he swore to stop them, even if he stood alone.

It wasn't the sound of the alarm clock that had woken Tommy, but the sound of injured Pokémon and complaining trainers. Tommy Kingston, the person that had set himself a goal from the start had finally put aside his nerves and had left his home region of Sinnoh. Waking up in a Pokémon center was not Tommy's idea of a nice lay in, but today was one of the most important, if not the most important day of his life. Today was the day that Tommy Kingston would start his Pokémon journey. Making him one step closer to reaching his goal of becoming a gym leader. He was never one to take peoples hospitality, and not pay to stay at an accommodation for free. But since he barely had enough money on him to pay for a hotel room, he had taken up the kind Nurse Joy's offer, and stayed at the Pokémon center for the night. It had been a long journey for Tommy. Coming from the Sinnoh region on a cruise liner was something he would have liked to avoided. But since he had no other option, Tommy stuck through his travel sickness and made it to the Kanto region.

After finally getting out of bed, Tommy had taken a quick shower. Swiftly putting on a new set of fresh clothes that consisted of a pair of navy jeans, a black t-shirt and a silver colored hooded jacket over the top. Clipping his belt bag into place, and then throwing his one strap silver bag over his shoulder and clipping it into place, Tommy was finally ready to make his way out into the region of Kanto to start his journey. He exited the room he had stayed in for the night and walked out into the reception of the Pokémon center. Poor nurse Joy was as busy as ever. And as much as Tommy wanted to help, he knew he had no time to stop. Just as Tommy was about to leave the center, a trainer dashed over and stood in his way. ''I'm guessing you're a newbie, right?'' The male trainer asked. ''I wouldn't call myself a newbie. I'm on my way to get my first Pokémon now, and then will start my journey to become a gym leader.'' Tommy smirked. The guy laughed in Tommy's face. ''You? A trainer? Don't make me laugh kid.'' He pushed Tommy aside and walked up to Nurse Joy. ''Jerk!'' Tommy mumbled silently. After giving off a small wave to Nurse Joy, Tommy walked out onto the path that would lead him straight to the small town of Pallet.

Watching as all the Pokémon went by as Tommy walked through the forest towards Pallet Town was something that he would remember on his journey. They seemed so happy and free. Tommy smiled as he walked passed a bunch of Metapod and Kakuna hanging down from the trees, waiting to break free from their shells and become Butterfree's and Beedrill's. He wasn't a big fan of bug Pokémon, but he knew that each Pokémon was unique for it's own reason. After a few minutes of walking, Tommy barely missed walking into another person. Moments of silence between the two was finally broken when Tommy spoke. ''Uh..Hi'' he smiled. The girl was still in shock, but was eased up a little by Tommy's voice. ''Hey there!'' she replied with a happy face.

''I'm sorry about that, I don't watch where I'm going most times.'' he sighed and rubbed the back of his neck nervously, waiting for her to speak back.

''I guess me and you are somewhat alike then.'' she let out a small giggle.

''So where were you heading?'' She quickly questioned him.

''I'm heading to Pallet Town to get my first Pokémon. How about you?'' He asked.

''Wow, really? I was just in the forest here picking some berries for my mom.'' She lifted up the small basket that was full of different colored berries. ''I can walk with you to Pallet Town if you like?'' She suggested.

''That would be great! Thank you so much.'' He started to follow her through the forest. In the distance, the sun shining through the trees was almost breath taking. ''So, are you from Kanto?'' The silence was broken by her this time. He shook his head. ''Nope, I came from the Sinnoh region. I'm joining a special program that helps new trainers like me to get a head start in their journeys. It will be pretty helpful...I hope.'' He joked. He was quite nervous when the two of them started to talk more. But having some company was never a bad thing. Especially when you didn't know where you were going.

''Well, here we are'' she spoke and then pointed through the branches of the trees at the small town out infront of them down the hill. ''Beautiful!'' was the only word that came to Tommy's mind when his eyes popped open at the sight of Pallet Town. When the two of them reached the bottom of the steep hill, they both stopped and turned to one another. ''This is where we go our separate ways'' was something that Tommy was regretting. ''If you follow this path, you will reach where the program is being held.'' she pointed out the way. Tommy nodded and smiled gratefully. ''Thanks for everything!'' was the final words before they each turned away from each other and started walking down different paths.

Reaching the group of new trainers, Tommy got in between them. He had made it just in time to hear the first person to speak. The star trainers had taken turns to introduce themselves to the group. When Maria spoke, Tommy's heart started to pound firmly against this chest. ''Ma-Maria is here?!'' the hairs on the back of his neck stood up. ''Calm down Tommy, calm down!'' he took a deep breathe. Maria was someone that Tommy looked up too. Every kid in the Sinnoh region knew about her. She was by far on of the greatest trainers to ever appear from the Sinnoh region, and being the champion, Tommy used to aspire to be just like her. But of course, his dreams had changed while he was growing up. Now he had his mind set of becoming a top gym leader.

It wasn't soon after Tommy arrived that they started to let the trainers pick their first Pokémon. A girl had stepped up and claimed her Pokémon, a Totodile. After she had walked off the steps, a boy then was called upon to claim his Pokémon. Tommy was slowly becoming impatient, and wanted his turn. When the boy had left the table, Maria called out Tommy's name. He took a quick glance around to see if anyone else was there with the same name, but it was just him. Going in and out of the trainers, Tommy finally made it to the table. He stepped up and flashed a quick inspired smile to Maria.

''Since you are from the Sinnoh region, you get to pick from the three starters from that region. on the left is Turtwig, the grass type Pokémon. In the middle is Chimchar, the fire type. And finally on the right is Piplup, the water type Pokémon.'' Maria introduced the three Pokémon inside the pokeballs to Tommy. After he had taken a few minutes to pick one, he placed his hand over the pokeball on the right and then picked it up with a firm hand. ''A Piplup eh? A fine choice indeed.'' She smiled and then placed her hand on his shoulder and almost drove him over to the other table where the pokedexes were sitting. ''Well then, which one would you like?'' Maria wondered. Tommy had already picked his pokedex, so it was an easy choice. ''The silver and light blue one please!'' he pointed on the table.

Being handed his silver and light blue pokedex, along with five pokeballs and a potion, Tommy slipped them into different belt bags and then zipped them shut. Placing the pokeball with his new companion, Piplup onto the special pokeball holder on his bag strap that came down around his chest. ''Perfect!'' he cheered. Now with the motion in place, Tommy's grand adventure was about to start, and the promise he had made back in the Sinnoh region would start being fulfilled.

**Flashback**

With a full heart of determination, Tommy walked passed the Oreburgh gym with a sure heart that he would one day have a gym for himself. Just as he was about to leave the city to make his way to Kanto, Roark stepped out infront of him. ''Good luck on your journey, Tommy. Promise me that whatever happens, you'll do your best to stay true to your dream of becoming a gym leader ok?'' Roark nodded. Tommy and Roark had become quite good friends. Whenever there was a gym battle, Tommy would be there on the side lines cheering his friend on. ''I promise I won't return until I am more than ready to become a gym leader!'' Tommy replied. Before setting off into the sunset, the promise was sealed with a handshake.

**End of flashback.**

Tommy stared up into the clear sky above. He was sure that the promise that he had make to Roark would one day be fulfilled.

Name: Angel Gemps

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Personality: shy, timid, keeps to himself and likes to listen to pop music. Surprisingly stoic and doesn't reveal his feelings easily as well as having a hard time telling others feelings (even when it's oh so blatantly obvious). Underneath this though is a loving, caring person who's deeply troubled by other's opinions. This is all hidden under a layer of depression though. When he thinks he's alone, he sings to make himself feel better. He's really good at singing but gets overly embarrassed when someone overhears him. He seems really easy-going... unless he doesn't have his music. Then he gets spaztastic and freaks out before going into withdrawal. If he snaps though, watch out. He will lash out at the first things he sees and won't stop til he can't move anymore.

Appearance: Angel has dark blue spikey hair and crystal-like blue eyes that seem to glow slightly in darkness giving them an eerily beautiful vibe (Think Sora Hashiba from 'Sukisho", but younger looking) . He stands at 5' 10" and weighs around 160 lbs. His frame is tall and skinny but normal for his age. He wears a pair of noise canceling headphones around his neck. Covering his torso is a white T shirt with two uneven blue stripes running down the front off to the right (to him) side a little. His legs are covered with jeans that hug his thighs but open up at the bottom for a bell-bottom like look with fading running down the front and back. On his wrist is a fuzzy black wristband/sweatband and he wears black sneakers with stylized red stitching and silver lining. On his shoulder is strapped a black messenger bag with blue inserts.

History: Angel was born and raised in Viridian City. As a young child, he was a bright student, often getting A's and B's, but where he excelled was Music and Chorus. As he got older, his love of music and singing grew, often putting him at odds with his dad who want edhim to follow in the family tradition of becoming a pokemon trainer. As his love for music and singing grew, so also did his abilitys. It became apparent by age 12 that he was more talented than most famous singers.

His dad is an ex-pokemon trainer turned reseacher with professor Oak. Being that his dad is dealing with science, his dad tends to think things through logically and scientifically. He has a lower chance of becoming a pop idol than becoming a gym leader. Things would be easier for him had his mom been there to support him despite his dad, but Angel's mom passed away when he was born, leading to his father being a bit overprotective.

Angel was forced to take a pokemon journey by his dad and Professor Oak. Given a pokemon and shoved off at age 15, he developed a hatred of his dad. In fact, once, while "coincidentally" meeting his dad while on his journey in Goldenrod City, Angel snapped and lashed out at his dad. His old man spent 3 weeks in the Goldenrod City Hospital and 2 months in recovery. This is one of the few violent streaks Angel has ever had. Angel then had a psychiatric evaluation to see whether he was actually sane. He passed but was labeled "currently unstable". Some have wondered whether he has a dual personality as he seems conflicted quite often with himself.


No matter how much he denies it, Angel makes a great pokemon trainer. Years of onhand experience with his dad has led to a unique battle style. Rather than shouting out attacks, he trains his pokemon to respond to changes in the pitch of his voice while he sings during a battle. The change in pitch tells them what to do. This gives him the constant element of surprise as no one he's met has been able to figure out what he's thinking or what he ordered his pokemon to do. However, sometimes it backfires when the pokemon mistakes one tone for another. He's apparently also trained them to know when he's singing for fun and when he's singing to command. This unique battle style combined with the range of tones and notes his voice can hit makes for a very tough battle.

It had been a few days since Angel flipped out on his dad and Professor Oak over his birthday gifts and future. He couldn't stand adults, specifically scientists. "Thinking so logically and factually all the time takes the fun out of everything." he thought as he brushed his teeth. It wasn't a thought that came out of nowhere, but from experience. Angel's dad had been researching pokemon with Professor Oak since he was born and it showed. Angel had had enough of scientists for one lifetime. And today was the day of the Lyra Program. It was the perfect time to escape the scientists that pretty much ruled his life.

"ANGEL! Come on! we need to go! We're late as it is!" Angel's dad called from downstairs.

"We're late already. Another 5 minutes won't kill us." He thought as he spit out the toothpaste. He sighed as he remembered what happened a few days ago.

-Flashback-

Angel unleashed all his rage into the songs at the karaoke club after flipping out on the 2 scientists that basically ran his life for him. He was breathing heavily after 12 songs he put all his feeling into. Unknown to him, Professor Oak and his dad were at the back of the karaoke bar, in the shadows, watching him.

"He's very talented." complimented Oak.

"But it takes more than talent to make it. Plus the chances of him actually making it as a pop star are ridiculously absurd."

"But he's got a better chance than most of the no talent hacks out there..." They continued as they went on while watching him. After the thirteenth song, Angel started swaying side to side, looking like he was going to be sick, and then passed out on the stage. He collapsed on stage s people gasped and wondered what to do. One person was already on the phone with 911 a few seconds later.

Angel was released from the hospital the next day. The doctors had said the collapse was a combination of things. Namely depression, repressed anger, and exhaustion. They had said he should be fine in the morning, so the two professor brought him home.

-End flashback-

Angel walked into his bedroom and slung his black and blue messenger bag over his shoulder. He put his headphones on as he reached into the bag and pulled out his pokeball containing his Bulbasaur.

He smiled as he sang to the pokemon after thinking on their current situation. Angel and his Bulbasaur had bonded over the last few days and as it turned out, they both loved music. "BONUS!" Thought Angel as the song started up.

"Paper bags and plastic hearts
All are belongings in shopping carts
Its goodbye
But we got one more night
Lets get drunk and drive around
And make peace with this empty town
We can make it right

Throw it away
Forget yesterday
We'll make the great escape
We won't hear a word they say
They don't know us anyway
Watch it burn
Let it die
Cause we are finally free tonight" He sang as "The Great Escape" by Boys Like Girls continued on. Angel smiled as the pokeball rocked side to side with the music.

Angel walked into the back yard as his dad had somethng special for the occaision. In the backyard was something that had been there for years, but Angel was never curious enough to investigate it.

Angel's dad walked over to a large car shaped tarp and began rolling the tarp off. "Your mom wanted one of these while she was a;ive so i got one to preseve her memory" His dad said as the tarp revealed a mid-90's muscle car. A white 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Z34 to be exact.

"'95 Monte Carlo Z34. White on white with 16 inch lightweight aluminum racing rims on Goodyear Eagle Z rated tires. 3.4L Dual OverHead Cam V6 known as the Twin Dual Cam V6. 210 horsepower, 215 ft-lbs of torque... and to top it all off... front wheel drive." Angel's father ranted.

"Mom must've been quite the firecracker" Angel said as he looked over the beastly muscle car.

"You have no idea" Angel's dad said seemingly lost in a happy memory.

"It's nice and all, but what does a muscle car have to do with me leaving?"

"You thought I'd drop you off in a dinky little econobox? Nah, We're showing up in classic American Muscle."

"You're dropping me off?" Angel asked astonished.

"Yea. This is the last time I'll see my little boy for quite a while. Might as well Make it as long as I can. Plus. when you come back from your journey, this beast is yours" He said holding up a set of keys. One looked like a normal key while the other had a computer chip embedded in the metal, probably the ignition key.

Angel's dad stepped into the car and started up the beast. The throaty V6 roared to life as birds scattered away from the roar.

They arrived quickly As the white car slammed the brakes on. The front hunched so far forward from braking that the lower front air dam was barely an inch from the ground. The car settled back to it's aggressive stance soon after it had stopped. The heavy passenger door to the coupe shot open. A blue-haired teen boy basically fell out of the car and began kissing the ground.

"LAND!" Angel screamed kissing the ground.

Angel's dad got out of the car and walked over to help him up. "Oh come on. It wasn't that bad!"

(OOC: for those of you who get "The Pacifier" reference, you may laugh now.)

Angel got up and waited with the others for the rest to show up.

Everyone had soon arrived and picked their pokemon. Their mentors introduced themselves (good thing too, because Angel had no idea who they were) and soon came up to Angel.

"SO which color Pokedex would you like?" Jason asked pointing to an array of different pokedex's. Angel just reached into his bag and pulled out a black and red pokedex Professor Oak had customized for him.

"Already taken care of." Angel said with a smirk.

"Your first pokemon?" Jason asked curiously.

Name: Abbey. G. Johanson

Personality: Abbey have a very unique personality. She loves to write Pokemon stories, draw Pokemon characters, biking, running, and even loves to play beach volleyball. Abbey loves to be around her friends and loves to be with her family as well. When she's around her friends, she's cheery and talkative with a little lonesome and when she's around her family, she's lonesome, boring, because there's nothing to do at her house, she's rarely at home, she's also usually running a few miles or biking.

Appearance: Abbey is 5'7" and 130 pounds. She has white skin, long blonde hair, and blue eyes. She has a charm necklace around her neck that has many pokeballs and many Pokemon types all around it. She wears a white t-shirt with Hollister sayings on the front. On her arms, she wears a bracelet on each wrists and wears pink fingerless gloves on her hands. History: Abbey and her parents grew up in Jubilife City where she went to school at. When she was 5 years old, she was the smartest one in her classroom, since her mom was a Pokemon coordinator while her dad was a Pokemon breeder. She knew a lot about Pokemon breeding from her dad and a lot of Pokemon contests from her mom. When she was 7 years old, her mom and dad figured out that she was going to become one of the best Pokemon breeders and Pokemon coordinators in Sinnoh. When she was 10 years old, her new Pokemon adventure of her own began. She started out with Piplup and adventured around the Sinnoh region, collecting the gym badges and moving towards on towards the Elite Four. She was at the champion of the Elite Four, Cynthia, but she lost to her so she retired from becoming a Pokemon trainer and started to be a Pokemon coordinator. She had many Pokemon with her, but her favorite was her Empoleon. While she was a coordinator, she won most of the contests, except for one. When she lost to that Pokemon contest, she cried, but her mom said that it was okay so she moved on to her life and began her Pokemon breeding stage. She bred a lot of different Pokemon that was from Sinnoh. After she got bored of breeding with her dad, she moved on to a Pokemon trainer once again, and she now stays that way.

"What time is it?" asked Abbey to herself.
"It's time to wake up sleepy," said her mom, coming from the hallway.

Abbey woke up from the morning sun. She walked towards the bathroom to take a shower. When she was done taking a shower, she walked to the kitchen to get some breakfast; the breakfast was good for her. When she was done eating, she kissed her mom, hugged her dad, and walked outside.

Abbey walked to Professor Oaks lab and when she got there, she opened the door, walked to Professor Oak, and talk to him.

"Hello there young trainer," said Professor Oak.
"Hello there, what's your name?" asked Abbey.
"My name is Professor Oak and I'll be giving your Pokemon today," said Professor Oak.
"That's cool, what Pokemon will you give me?" asked Abbey.
"Well there's three Pokemon here to take, so you can take one," said Professor Oak.

Abbey took Squirtle, the water type Pokemon. She thanked Professor Oak and walked away. She was so happy that she wanted to begin her Pokemon adventure, so she started walking towards Route One.

Personality: Jess has always preferred to be good, caring and loving her Pokemon who traveled around the regions with her, but always takes along her Venusaur to different regions. She usually has a thing for grass types because she believes them to be the gentlest types of Pokemon. However, she cares for any Pokemon, even if they don't belong to her. She will heal them back to health, never capturing them if they're wild – only releasing them if that's what they wished.
Appearance: Jess has long, black hair with yellow-green eyes that shine silver in the moonlight. Even though she adores grass types, she prefers to wear the colors red and black. She wears all the badges she has collected from Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn, even the Contest ribbons she won just for fun. She is very tall – about five feet eight inches and has very pale skin, meaning that her skin burns easily. She usually likes to sit under the shade of her Venusaur's pink leaves.
History: Jess started her journey in Kanto with a Turtwig she got as a present from her parents. Catching a friendly Beedrill and obtaining a Bulbasaur after an encounter with Team Rocket, Jess started to collect Kanto badges and entered the league a season after starting her journey. When the Pokedex stopped shaking and the button turned white, a smile crossed Selena's face. Turtwig looked down at it as Selena walked over and picked it up. I grinned, her teeth shining in the sun. Looking down at Turtwig, Selena noticed that Turtwig seemed exhausted. She put Starly's Pokeball on my belt and took off Turtwig's. Recalling her to her Pokeball, Selena continued down the path. Finally seeing Sandgem ahead, she sighed unbelievingly. It was a good journey so far and Selena decided that she should say goodbye to her family and friends before heading off to Jubilife City.

First walking to the Pokemon center, Selena gave my Pokemon's Pokeballs to Nurse Joy and exited the revolving doors.

"Selena," Quickly turning her head, Selena saw one of her softball friends running up to her, a Roserade at her side. It was carrying a softball on top of one of its flower hands and on top of its white, rosy hair was a baseball cap reading "The Staraptors." The girl had another cap, but it had the same logo. Long, blonde hair flowed down her shoulders and over a softball uniform.

Selena's Pokedex rang.

"Roserade, the Bouquet Pokemon. It attracts prey with its sweet aroma. Then downs it with the thorns hidden in its arms." The Pokedex stated.

Selena smiled. "Hey Kier," she said warmly. "Haven't seen you in a while."

"Yeah," Kiersten laughed. "It's been so long. Roserade and I were just passing through, playing a few softball games here and there," Selena nodded, still smiling. "Hey, don't you have Pokemon?"

Selena blinked. "Uh, yeah," she said. "I just caught a Starly."

"Just a Starly?" Kiersten asked.

"Naw," Selena shook her head. "A Turtwig, too."

Kiersten smiled widely. "Nice," she commented. "How 'bout a battle, then? Your Pokemon against mine."

Selena smiled and nodded.

After getting back her Pokemon from Nurse Joy, Selena walked with Kiersten to a nearby battle field. Kiersten didn't have her Roserade at her side; she had returned it to its Pokeball for a small rest. "So," Selena began. "What Pokemon do you have? How many do you have?"

Kiersten just laughed. "Three," she said. "Remember, I'm picky about Pokemon."

"Ah, true," Selena nodded. When they got to the field, the two friends went to opposite sides. Kiersten already had a Pokeball in her hand. It had a sticker on it but Selena couldn't make out what it was.

"Pick your Pokemon," Kiersten said across the field.

Selena nodded. Quickly thinking over her choices, which wasn't hard, she thought it would be good for Starly to get some experience. Grabbing Starly's Pokeball off her belt, she looked at the shiny polish on the ball, then threw it up. In a flash of white light, the black and white bird Pokemon appeared. It shouted its name excitedly while it flapped its wings in the air, picking up dirt off the ground below it.

Kiersten smirked and threw the Pokeball in her hand. In a flash of bright light, a pink, white, and black Pokemon appeared. Its skin was pink and black, while the fur-like cotton on its head and neck was white. "Flaaffy," it baaed.

"Flaaffy, the Wool Pokemon," my Pokedex began. "If its coat becomes fully charged, its tail lights up. It fires hair that zaps on impact."

"I knew you would pick Starly, so I just picked Flaaffy," Kiersten said, placing her hands on her hips.

"I-I didn't know you had a Flaaffy," Selena said.

"Oh, yeah," Kiersten said, placing a finger on her chin. "Picked it up back in Enterna City. Quite a powerful little Pokemon, too."

"Star, starly," Selena's bird Pokemon shouted.

"Oh, right," Kiersten stood clearing her throat. "Flaaffy, use Thunderbolt." The little pink Pokemon put its front two hands together and the blue orb on its tail started to glow a bright yellow.

"Flaa," it said as electricity pulsed into a ball between its hands. Then it thrust the energy ball forward, straight at Starly.

"Dodge it, Starly," Selena said. Starly flapped its hand and quickly flew out of the way of the electricity ball, but a spark of it zapped Starly's tail.

"Star!" the little bird cooed painfully.

"You alright, Starly?" Selena asked as the black and white bird flew around and faced Flaaffy again.

"Star," Starly nodded.

"Hmph, not for long," Kiersten said. "Again, Flaaffy." The Flaaffy put its hands together and its tail once again lit up.

"Flaaaaaa," it said as a bigger electric ball formed between its hands. Then it launched the ball up at Starly while shouting, "Feyyyy!"

"Dodge it!" Selena shouted to Starly. Starly flapped its wings and flew up, but it wasn't enough. The fast energy ball hit the bottom of Starly's stomach.

"Lyyy!" Starly cried as it flew down and hit the ground. "Reee," it whimpered as it tried to lift its wings up. But when it failed, it slumped.

"Starly," Selena whispered.

"Heh," Kiersten said. "Not a strong Pokemon. I would release it if I was you."

Selena pulled out Starly's Pokeball and pointed it in the direction of the fainted bird. The button on the front lit up and a transparent red light zapped out and engulfed Starly, transporting it back into its Pokeball. "I'll raise it to be stronger," Selena said, replacing Starly's Pokeball with Turtwig's.

Kiersten quickly returned Flaaffy to its Pokeball and took out another Pokeball. "A waste of time," Kiersten said. "Roserade, you're up next," With a flash of light, Kiersten's powerful partner appeared, ready for battle.

I pulled up Turtwig's Pokeball. "Alright Turtwig," Selena said. "Go," Throwing up the Pokeball, a white light exploded from it and Turtwig appeared on the ground.

"Roser," Kiersten's Roserade laughed. "Ade."

"Tur," Turtwig said back.

"Alright," Kiersten said. "Let's get this started. Use Poison Sting." Roserade nodded and lifted its right flower. It started to glow a bright purple and out shot several purple spikes at Turtwig.

"Dodge," Selena shouted to Turtwig. Quickly, Turtwig lowered its body and leapt away from the oncoming spikes. "Tackle, now," Turtwig nodded and ran at Roserade. Roserade lifted its flowers as a shield as Turtwig ran into it. With Turtwig's force, the Roserade was pushed backwards.

"That thing's strong," Kiersten said crossing her hands across her chest. "Use Hidden Power," The Roserade's flower hands started to glow bright silver and it pushed its hands forward, knocking Turtwig backwards. Then it thrust its claws forward, pushing the silver beam at Turtwig.

"Tur?" Selena's Turtwig said, shocked as the light engulfed her.

"Turtwig," Selena yelled. When the light cleared and Roserade placed its hands at its side, Turtwig was laying on the ground, totally unconscious. Selena ran up to her unconscious Pokemon and scooped her up in her arms. Kiersten had already walked up to her Roserade and handed it its hat which it firmly placed on its head.

"That one wasn't strong either," Kiersten mused. Roserade laughed at her side.

"Kier," Selena started a hiss to her voice. "You've gotten very weird and mean since I've seen you."

Kier pulled up her hands quickly and then let them drop to her sides. "We all change, Selena," she chuckled. "You'll see. Come along, Roserade." With that Kier walked off.

After bringing my Pokemon to the Pokemon Center and healing them, I headed off to my parents' house. Saying a goodbye to them, Selena headed off to the next route, leaving Sandgem Town behind...

Name: Ford McDaid
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Personality: Ford is a corageous young guy. He is determined to be one of the best there is and as a result likes to stand out a little. Since he was a little boy he always wanted to train pokemon to be worthy battlers and test his own skills as a trainer. He loves watching the annual Pokemon League Tournament on TV and keeps personal notes of techniques and battle strategies.

Ford is also a fun guy. He isn't stubborn and likes to have company. Even when battling he occasionally shows parts of his own character.

Appearance: Ford wears a Red almost Hawaii-style shirt with the top 2 buttons usually undone. Above this he wears a sly, Brown overcoat that he usually leaves unzipped. His hat almost always covers his dreadlock-like fiery blond hair. His eyes are a striking hazel and he wears a small medallion around his neck.

Ford also wears dark brown cargo pants and red baseball shoes. His bagpack holds everything he needs, other than his pokeballs, which go in a pouch on his belt.

History: Ford originally came from Dewford island in Hoenn. This is where he developed a brief interest in surfing - thus aquiring his present look. Ford's family had a Magnemite which he loved to play with. At a young age he would even show signs of battling with it, even though he was legally not allowed to officially train it. The Magnemite would eventually evolve into Magneton and, when Ford reached 10, he was allowed to keep it. For his 16th birthday, Ford wanted 2 things: 1- To start his own pokemon adventure, and 2- A Magnezone.

Hence, the family decided to let him do both and moved to Sinnoh. There, Ford was able to travel to Mt. Coronet and evolve Magneton. When he did this, he went back to Sandgem (where the family moved to) and applied for a pokemon from Prof. Rowan. Eventually, Ford recieved his Chimchar and began his adventure. He went on to dominate 7 of the 8 gyms in the region and evolve his Chimchar into an Infernape, aswell as catch a Psyduck. Word of his unbelievable success spread far and wide. Before he got contacted by Mewtwo... telling him to... come... Island of Time... help. Being old enough, Ford made his own way there by Ferry.

Anjoo did as Flare suggested and followed the Magnemite to free other pokemon. Before he knew, he, the Magnemite, the Mareep and Ember were all running down the corridor. That's when he noticed the Jynx from earlier.

"Aren't you gonna escape?" Anjoo said with haste, glancing at the Mareep electrifying an R-man.

"These Rockets took them all away from me..." the Jynx said coldly, "My family... and I will help you brave young pokemon get out no matter what!" she gave Anjoo a reassuring look.

"Thank you..." he replied.

He noticed that the Magnemite had entered yet another room, which seemed to have an eary feel. Best follow...

"Right you!" shouted an R-man as he grabbed the Jynx, "Get this one to the basements!"

"No!" screamed Anjoo, before bounding up and landing a Karate Chop to his neck. The man, clearly phased, slumped to the floor. He entered the room.

The Dark room. Anjoo could see the Magnemite looking in at a wild looking Absol...

"I'll let you out. What's your name?" it said as it approached the cage and started to unlock it.

I hope this thing hasn't already snapped...

Anjoo glanced out the door again and witnessed Ember and... Ambi? fighting off the R-men along with Jynx. Only 10 minutes ago they were all hopelessly locked away in cages. Now they were fighting to be free.

It hit Anjoo - with determination, any pokemon can stand up to the big guys...
