God knew how much time she had spend in the cursed forest. In the end Liliana had called Misdreavous back to her ball for she was definitely not helping the whole creepy dark forest atmosphere. It did seem like the forest was getting lighter with every step she took. Also every once in a while she saw a little green leaf. She had checker her cell multiple times to ask Elm if he was sure this was the way the forest was supposed to look, but no signal. The time had stopped acting funky but now it had just frozen. Really, this day could have been a lot better.

Then she noticed it. A particularly light area, there almost seemed to be a bit of sun leaking through. The fog had entirely cleared out of this area, it was as if this little thing was fighting it, whatever was happening to the forest. There were trees that bent over the area as if to shield it from the outside world. She had a strange Déjà Vu feeling as she looked at it and knew that she had to check it out. She sent out Nala.

"Okay, Nala and Abu I would like you two to break through these trees just enough so I could get through it, no more okay? And Abu, no fire punch unless you feel like putting out a forest fire!" Abu nodded grudgingly as he started to hit the branches to try and get through the thing. Nala was more help, she used her magical leaf attack to hit just the right spots to create a small opening. "Thanks you two," Liliana recalled them, something inside her told her that she had to go through this alone.

The first thing she saw was the wooden shrine she had seen in the vision. It seemed very out of place and the still dead forest. Just like she had seen it there were small signs of life all around it, plants clinging to a little bit of light. Then she saw Bugsy on the ground. She gasped and ran toward him, kneeling down beside his body. She put to fingers on his neck searching for a pulse. She found one, although it was weak, he was still alive. She let out a breath that she had been holding. Suddenly a voice behind her made her whirl around so fast that she almost gave herself a whiplash.

"They say this shrine was made for the time travelling Pokémon Celebi a long time ago." The voice was almost gentle. Almost. It was the black cloaked man. Of course it was. She was still kneeling beside Bugsy and put a hand on his arm as if he would disappear if she wouldn't pay attention. She did not like looking up at the man though, it made her feel vulnerable. Out of instinct she grabbed a ball, but he just laughed and held up his arms, palm toward her.

"I'm not here to fight you, Liliana, I have a proposition for you," he told her calmly.

"What kind of proposition?" She snapped at the man, but he didn't seem too bothered by it. He simply smiled in that very slick kind of way and continued explaining as if she hadn't said anything in the first place. "You and your fellow trainers have been getting stronger and stronger, and really, it's pointless to destroy you. You could be very useful and in return I could be very useful to you. You see, if you help me than I shall help you." He said this softly, almost kindly. But Lili wasn't fooled by this sudden kindness.

"As if you wouldn't try to kill me the moment I refuse," she spat, but he just laughed. But she did want to hear more. She hated it, but she did. "But, fine, I'll give you the satisfaction. Continue."He seemed satisfied by her decision to hear him out.

"That is if you refuse little sparrow," he didn't deny it and he didn't confirm it. He was disgustingly confident. "It is quite simple actually. Everyone wants something out of this life, something that might not come as easily as one would like. My desire was to be the best. I found so many ways to achieve this, but none but one was foolproof. This one I am talking about, it is the true way to achieve the goal I wanted." He sighed almost in nostalgia. She tried not to think of it, but a particular image floated around in her mind. The trainer and her Charizard. The impact her power had made, it made her impossible to ignore. This was no longer just about the power to protect people. She felt that she wanted more. She wanted to be so powerful no one could ignore her. She wanted to make a difference.

"Darkness," He winked at her. The bastard winked at her. She was stunned by his nerve. But he once again simply continued as if he had rehearsed the entire thing. Which he probably had. But she wasn't really in the position to argue. "Darkness.. It can give you great power. It can provide the one thing you have dreamed of all your life. " He stared at her with such intensity. As if he knew exactly what she wanted, as if he read her mind. He smiled again confidently before continuing. Aren't you tired of being told what to do? What is going on? You are but a tool to them! But I.. No I notice your potential. I see what you could be."

"An what does the almighty you see, then, sir?" Liliana asked skeptically. She knew it might not be the best timing to be rude, but she just couldn't stand his confidence. Maybe what she truly couldn't stand was the affect it was having. The fact that his confidence might be right. He didn't seem to mind her snapping, instead he continued in a softer tone.

"A member of my brotherhood… We are a group with a cause. We work on making this world a better place for everyone. We are doing something great for this world, only the world doesn't see this yet. With your help we can reach our goals and with my help you can have the one thing your heart desires most of all. .. And ultimate power." He looked at Bugsy and then at her, who was still kneeling beside him. "It could even save his life."

For the first time Liliana didn't know what to say. She didn't know what to snap at him, or to doubt his words. They had made an impact even though she had tried to push that away. Push away the fact that she wanted it. She wanted power. But she also didn't want the leader to die. He might have been a bit grumpy but he was a good man, what could he have done to deserve this?

"Do you promise not to harm him?" She finally croaked out looking up at the cloaked man. He smiled at her almost in a maternal kind of way. "You have my promised," he said softly before extending his hand for her to take.

They were doing something good for this world, that was what he said wasn't it? In the end whatever she would do for him would be in the right interest of the people. She told herself that as she rose to her feet. She still had to look up at him though. She put her hand in his and he smiled at her with a satisfied look. As if he were proud of her decision. "You have made the right choice, Liliana." Suddenly darkness was everywhere. It came up from the sides of her vision and slowly crept over her until her world went black.

And she prayed to dear god that she had made the right choice.

A small green leaf fell defeated from its tree. The small leaf floated in the sky and gently swayed back and forth as it dropped to the ground, finally landing on a green-haired man. The sleeping man lay there, alone, in front of the Shrine. There was a bright light coming from the shrine and a small green almost elfish Pokémon appeared. It seemed saddened at the sights of its forest. Then it lay eyes on the stranger.

His eyes shot open. He shot up, disoriented. The eyes widened as he saw the damage that had been done to the forest. They widened more when he set eyes on the elfish Pokémon that was watching him with saddened eyes. He smiled at the Pokémon and the creature seemed to smile back.

The man's expression changed into fear when he saw a shadow come to life behind the creature. Then it changed again into anger at the sight of what appeared to be a stun gun in the black cloaked man's hand. "Celebi look out!" The scream came out very hoarse. The creature called Celebi turned around to face the smirk of the black man. Celebi tries to leave but the man was faster. The gun sent out a beam of electricity that meets its goal and the elfish Pokémon fell to the ground.

The smile widened with delight after he saw that his plan had succeeded. "Finally after all those years… I knew that using those trainers as pawns would attract the true item I desired… YOU!" His face almost reddened with psychotic delight as he screeched at the unconscious Celebi. "Now we can put the full plan into action, bring the darkness back to this world!"

The green haired man stayed as still as he could, the fear on his face was visible. But the man turned to him and smiled again. "Oh, I forgot about you, my bad. We can't really let you og off running and telling everybody about this now could we?" The green haired man jumped off as quickly as he could while he only just woke up and grabbed to Poké Ball from his belt. "Don't you touch Celebi!" He yelled angrily as he released a Butterfree and a Beedrill.

The other man did not seem to mind the slightest, he actually seemed to enjoy this chance to show off. He released his Venusaur and Charizard. "Have it your way." The battle raged on, but in the end the bug Pokémon were overpowered and defeated.

"Well that was pretty fun I must say," the cloaked man smiled again. "It's been awhile since I've had a real battle now where's my gym badge? FOOL YOU WILL DIE JUST AS FALKNER AND SOON EVERY GYM LEADER IN JOHTO!!" This time the man's face had turned red as he screeched in psychotic rage at the gym leader. The green haired man's eyes held fear again, but not for himself. He feared the fate of Johto in the hands of this man that was obviously not in his right mind.

The cloaked man tossed a purple ball at Celebi, it didn't even wiggle just captured the Pokémon with ease. A Master Ball. He released a Weavile also, ordering him to kill her man. He walked away nonchalantly leaved the other man to die. A single tear made its way over Bugsy's cheek. It was the end of the road for him.

Dutchesse: Wow, awesome post! Liliana has joined the Dark Brotherhood....

If you are keeping count at home, so far thats 2 for Hope, 2 for the Brotherhood.

"Alright, so I'm putting Evra and Serena in Storage, leaving Sho, Snoopy and Stitch with me!" Kaitlyn glanced at her remaining three Pokémon, while the other two were stuck in the PC. Snoopy was Stitch and Sho's personal ride, since the two have both taken up spots on his back while he trudged beside her during their walk through town.

She couldn't sit still waiting for the professor's call back at the center, so she decided to explore the small town. Kaitlyn was still a bit skeptic about the whole carting Bugsy off to Ilex forest and she wanted to rush in there and beat the snot out of whoever was responsible, but the police have blockaded the entrance, plus with the professor's warning, she wasn't going to go anywhere.

Kaitlyn sighed folding her arms behind her head as they passed several clothing shops, Kaitlyn made a mental note to stop by there on her way back to the Center "So, what do you guys want to do? Get some food? Go Train? Explore the Town?"

"Pikachu!"

"Bleyeee!"

"Gran!"

Kaitlyn felt a drop of sweat drip down the side of her head, Sho had rubbed his tummy, indicating he wanted to eat, while Stitch had clenched her fist and struck a fighting pose indicating she wanted to Train and Snoopy, he just sat there and barked, but she assumed he wanted to explore "Err. . . well how about Rock, Paper, Scissors?" the three Pokémon blinked and glanced at her "Pika?" Sho tugged lightly at the belt around his neck, loosening it so it was more comfortable he then mimicked the other's who looked questioningly at the girl.

What was Rock, Paper, Scissors?

"Umm. . . well Rock Paper Scissors is. . ." Kaitlyn trailed off thoughtfully, wondering how she was going to explain it to them "You just uhhh. . . well it's a game and there are three signal's to use with your hands, they indicate Rock, Paper , or Scissors. Rock is a fist" she clenched her hand into a fist as an example "Paper is an open hand and Scissors is your index and middle finger" she show the trio the signs before speaking "And always remember. Rock crushes Scissors and Scissors cut Paper while Paper covers Rock. Got it?"

They blinked.

"Right. . . umm how about I show you instead, Snoopy give me your hand" Snoopy hesitantly held his hand out, with Kaitlyn doing the same "Now follow me. Rock. . . Paper . . . Scissors!" she shook her hands 3 times, then clenched it and Snoopy accidently unclenched his hand in an awkward manner "Yeah, like that! Now lets try it again" Kaitlyn played the game with Snoopy several more times until he got it right, Stitch and Sho watched the two and tried it out for themselves, with Stitch coming out as the winner.

"Good, now that you guys know how to play we can—"

"Smoochum. Smoochum. Smoochum. Smoo—" there was a Smoochum skipping down the street, Kaitlyn had paused because the baby had skipped right passed them, but suddenly stopped skipping and gazed at Sho, who blinked "Pikachu?" the Smoochum blinked as well, before hearts appeared in her eyes and she jumped Sho, hugging the Pikachu, who was spazzing trying to unlatch the baby's arms from around his torso "P-Pika! Pika Pi!"

That Smoochum sure had one hell of a grip!

"Smooch! Smoochum!" Sho was sweating, he'd never actually dealt with affection, for other Pokémon before and none were ever this bold "Pika. Ka. Chu!" he stressed those words with ever tug as he tried to pull the persistent Smoochum off. Kaitlyn, Snoopy and Stitch just stared "Pikachuu" then with a light shock, Smoochum jumped away from Sho, who had sent a light spark at Smoochum.

The baby's eyes teared up "S-Smooch. . ." Sho, along with Kaitlyn, Snoopy and Stitch froze "S-Smoo-Smoochuuuuuuummmm" it then began to wail loudly, causing the trio and their trainer to cover their ears, it was using Uproar "Smoooochhhhhh!!!" it cried and Kaitlyn winced, before glancing at Sho, who looked guilty as he held down his ears "Ivysaur!"

Smoochum's crying quickly stopped as an Ivysaur ran up to it and scooped the Pokémon up with its vines, cooing and rocking it back and forth like one would an upset baby, which it was. "Ivysaurrrr" The Ivysaur held the Smoochum protectively and then turned to snarl and glare at Kaitlyn and Snoopy took his place protectively in front of her to snarl and glare back.

"Snoopy step down" the Granbull nodded reluctantly and took a step back, while Kaitlyn stepped forward, moving her hand so she could reassure the Ivysaur that they meant no harm.

Too bad things don't go exactly as planned.

The little bastard bit her.

"Ouch! Why you little!" Kaitlyn clenched her fist and was about to punch that Ivysaur right in the face, but a panicked shout stopped her from doing so "Hey! What are you doing to my Pokémon!" Kaitlyn scowled and then turned to glare at the Ivysaur's trainer, but her voice caught in her throat.

This boy. . .

He looked exactly like her brother! Except he was about her age and his hair was shorter in length, Kane's hair was pulled back into a low ponytail, that now fell to his waist, but this boy, his was wild and spiky and only reached a few inches past his shoulders, much like when Kane was younger and his eyes weren't green like her brothers, they were blue and he didn't have square framed glasses covering them either.

"Pika! Pikachu!" Sho had come to her rescue during her moment of silence, she was still shocked at the fact that this man looked so much like her brother. Upon moving closer, the man blinked his blue eyes at Kaitlyn "Oh, its just a little boy" he murmured nonchalantly and Kaitlyn's shock wore off as she glared at the man "First off buddy, I am not a little boy! Second, I'm an 18-year-old girl!" he froze and then blinked again "Really, you look like a boy to me"

Kaitlyn's eyes narrowed into slits "Why you no good—" she was cut off from cursing this guy out by a blur of white and red, some large fluffy creature had talked her to the ground and began licking her face happily "Zangooo!"

"Pikachu!" Sho gasped and her Pokémon were about to run to her aide, but when they saw she was giggling and hugging the excited Zangoose back, they backed down "Zangoose! What are you doing here!?" the Zangoose backed off and sat on his haunches, much like a dog, wagging his fluffy white tail "Zangoo" he pointed to the figure that was heading towards them, a Metagross floating calmly by his side "KANE!!" Kaitlyn shot to her feet and ran over to the older man, hugging her brother tightly at the waist, while he hugged her back and affectionately ruffled her hair "It's been a while Kaitlyn" Kaitlyn smiled before punching him in the arm, a smile on his handsome face as he brushed it off as though she had tapped him gently "I missed you" she murmured beaming up at her older sibling.

"Oi Kane, you know this weird gender-confused girl?"

Before Kane could respond, Kaitlyn pulled away from him and glared at the boy "I am not a gender-confused girl!" the boy blinked and gave her a look over, raising an eyebrow slightly "Oh? Then why are you dressed like a boy?" he pointed to her baggy attire and she flushed out of anger and embarrassment "None of your damn business! Who the hell are you supposed to be anyway? And how do you know my big brother?"
"I am Zackary Cooper, and Kane is my mentor" Kaitlyn blinked "Mentor? Mentor for what?"

"Breeding obviously" Zack responded with a roll of his eyes "Oh yeah!" Kaitlyn had forgotten Kane was aspiring to be a breeder "Well, you must not be a very good Breeder, if you need Kane to mentor you" Kane smiled "Actually Kaitlyn, Zack's pretty good, I'm only his mentor because I needed a certain amount of hours with a student in order for me to get my certification"

"Yeah, I could give you a little demonstration if you'd like"

"Demonstration?" Zack nodded and motioned for Sho to come to him. The Pikachu looked at the boy warily before glancing in Kaitlyn's direction "Its alright" she murmured with a smile before he ambled towards Zack, who kneeled down to Sho's eyes level "Well, this is an odd colored Pikachu you have here"

"He wasn't always like that" she mumbled thinking about the wacko doctor that did that to him. Zack said nothing and shrugged before he gently placed his hands on Sho's electric pouches on his cheeks "P-Pika!" he stiffened at the unfamiliar touch and began to move away, but Zack began to work his fingers like magic, rubbing small circles on Sho's cheeks, causing him to relax "Piikaachuu" Zack smiled "That's it boy, calm down. I'm not gonna hurt you"

Kaitlyn watched with wide eyes as Sho practically turned to mush in Zack's hands, the look on his face was one of pure bliss as Zack continued to rub at the sac's on his cheeks "Whoa. . . how'd you do that?" Zack smiled and removed his hands from Sho's cheeks "It's kinda like a pressure point. Every Pokémon has a certain spot on them that if you touch, rub or brush it a certain way, it will instantly relax all the muscle's in their bodies, for the Chu family, its their cheeks" he poked at his own cheek as an example "And for your Granbull over there, its behind the ears"

"Behind Snoopy's ears?" Zack nodded and made his way over to Snoopy, motioning Kaitlyn to follow, she watched as Zack moved his hand right to the far left of Snoopy's ear, he then began to scratch it and Snoopy's foot began to pound the ground and his tail wagged excitedly, his muscles relaxed and he tilted his head for more leverage and Zack scratched him some more "Graaaannn"

"Told you he was good" Kane murmured from behind Kaitlyn and she jumped, startled, so engrossed with watching Zack turn her Pokémon to puddles of goo just by touching them, even Stitch was purring, as Zack scratched a spot right under her chin, the Ghost began to purr and hiss incoherently with a relaxed smile on her face "Y-yeah" she mumbled rubbing at her bicep "So, what are you doing here in Azalea? Last time we spoke, you said you were off in Hoenn" Kane grinned in a sheepish manner and moved his glasses from the bridge of his nose "Well I was in Hoenn, up until recently."

He frowned slightly "The twin's called, they said Elijah was in the hospital" Kaitlyn gasped "What! What happened!? Is he okay?" Kane nodded "Yeah, he's fine, the idiot just over worked himself into another heart attack again is all, nothing to worry about" he smiled gently down at Kaitlyn who frown thoughtfully. Elijah had always suffered from a weak heart, even when he was younger, he could fight and run and do everything else, but as soon as he suffered from bad cases or stress, over exhaustion, or anxiety, the ebony haired boy always found himself in the hospital "You know Elijah, he probably was just training too hard, you know he's about as stubborn as a mule, there's no need for you to worry your pretty little head Kate, me and the twin's will handle him" Kane ruffled her hair again and Kaitlyn flushed, she hated when he called her that.

"Anyway, how's Rafe?"

"Hmm, last time I heard from him, he was in Sinnoh, said something about kicking this pink haired gym leader chick's a$$ because she insulted his manhood and beat him in a fight or something" Kane sighed "But knowing Rafe, he's probably going to try and pursue her, because if its one thing Rafe loves the most its—"

"Women that can kick his a$$" both Manson siblings murmured and then sighed simultaneously before they glanced at one another and burst into laughter "That's so like him!" Kaitlyn giggled and clutched her stomach as she laughed and Kane nodded with a grin "I wonder how long it'll be til he calls me up and complains about how she shot him down"

"I'm thinking a week" Kaitlyn murmured and Kane raised a brow "Care to bet on that" she shook her head "No way, I'm not stupid! You know damn well I don't ever win bets with you, your like a freaking good luck charm, you win everything!" the eldest of the two smirked "Good to know your learning" Kaitlyn had lost plenty of bets and a lot of cash when she went against Kane, enough times to know to never bet against him, the man was so damn lucky, even the best of cheater's couldn't get him.

"So, what about you. What are you doing here in Azalea? I thought you were on a journey?" Kaitlyn nodded "I am!" she reached into her bag and pulled out her badge case "I've already beaten Bugsy, but since the forest in blocked off at the moment, I've decided to take a little break" Kane nodded thoughtfully "Hmm, there has been some strange things going on lately, I remember when we came here, there was some weird noises coming from the Well, the Pokémon sounded in pain, but when Zack went by there earlier, he said they stopped" Zack, who had finished catering to the whims of her Pokémon was now beside Kane nodding and Kane stared at Kaitlyn thoughtfully before looking at her Pikachu "You said that little guy wasn't always odd colored?"

"Ummm yeah . . . why?"

"So someone experimented on him correct?" Kaitlyn faltered, she wasn't exactly sure what to tell him, she had a feeling that professor Elm didn't want anyone else to be involved and she most certainly didn't want her brother to get hurt "Umm. Kinda" she looked away and Kane sighed "Alright Kaitlyn. I know your up to something, you can't lie to me" she stiffened and looked at Kane with wide eyes "But, if its that important that you can't say anything . . . I won't force you" a small smile crept on her face "Thanks Kane" she murmured softly.

"No problem" he replied with a grin "You know" Zack spoke up, causing Kaitlyn to glance at him "When you smile like that, you actually look kinda cute" Kaitlyn blinked and began to stammer, a hint of red creeping onto her cheeks "W-What?" he leaned in slightly and Kaitlyn took a slight step back "I'm just saying. . . your not that bad looking," a playful cat like grin appeared on his face when Kaitlyn's cheeks grew redder at his compliment "for a gender-confused girl" Kaitlyn's blush disappeared and she moved forward glaring at up at Zack, clenching her fist ready to pound his face in the ground "I'm not gender confused you bastard!"

"Heh, but all jokes aside" he placed a hand atop her head and ruffled it affectionately, much like Kane would do "you really are cute, even if you do look like a prepubescent boy" Kaitlyn was at a loss for words, stuck in the middle of feeling flattered or pissed off "Alright Zack, enough teasing, we need to get going. Good luck with everything Kaitlyn, hope to see you soon" Kane waved her off and Zangoose. Ivysaur, who was still holding Smoochum, who was now sleeping peacefully and Metagross followed after him.

"Okay, I'm coming!" he called back removing his hand from her head and waving to her Pokémon, Kaitlyn had glanced in their direction, watching as all three waved back, looking a bit more cheerful than usual "Hey Kaitlyn!" blinking the brunette whipped her head back around to look at Zack, "Huh?" who in one swift movement, gently grabbed her chin and planted a soft and chaste kiss on her cheek, before he pulled away and winked at her before running off to catch up with Kane and his Pokémon "It was nice meeting you!" he called back with a wave "Maybe we'll see each other again sometime huh?"

"Uhh. . ." Kaitlyn just stared, blushing and dumbfounded as he disappeared beyond the horizon, her hand reaching up to touch her red cheek "That... was nice" when she turned back around to glance at her Pokémon, they all had sly knowing grins on their faces and Kaitlyn blushed harder, a half-hearted glare on her face "W-What are you three grinning about?"

"Pii-Ka-Chuu" Sho teased pointing at her cheek "S-Shut up, I am not blushing" she responded and they all just snickered in response "Wh-Whatever, let just go back to the Center, its getting late" as Kaitlyn walked off, arms crossed with her three Pokémon in tow, the trio couldn't help but grin at the small bashful smile that was plastered on her face the entire walk back.

"Today was nice. . ."

(OOC: Yay! Kane reappears! Ohh Kaitlyn has a not so secret admirer. Cairne might have some competition >__>;; This post was fun to write, even though it took me three days to do it. XD And I totally hinted at Rafe x Maylene, and quoted Cowboy Bebop the Movie! <3's Spike)

Chapter 12-only the good die young

"BUGSY!" both boys begin to scream as they return toward the unconscious gym leader's body. "Gregory, stop!" Scythe suddenly shouts as he grabs the boy by the collar and stops dead in his tracks.

"What? And will you quit pullin on my shirt already…it's rather annoying!" Gregory argues back with the elder trainer. "Were not alone…" Scythe cautiously whispers to the boy as something begins to emerge from the ground in front of Bugsy.

"AHH WHO THE HELL IS THAT!?!?!?!" Gregory hollers out as he watches a man rise from a pit of darkness. "He's the problem…" Scythe quietly states as he reaches for a pokeball. Gregory than looks on in horror as the cloaked man begins to pick up his head.

"They say that shrine was made for the time travel pokemon Celebi long ago" The man speaks as he turns to look at the shrine. Scythe continues to wrap his fingers around a pokeball.

"You can put that down, I'm not here to fight.. I have a proposition for you." He says as he turns his attention away from the shrine and towards Scythe.
"Ah…how did he know I was grabbing a pokeball?" Scythe thinks to himself as he begins to wonder who this guy really is.

"Scythe….I don't want to be here…" Gregory begins to stumble as he backs up behind Scythe. "Grr what do you want than!" Scythe angrily shouts out at the man as he holds his head up.

"You and your fellow trainers are getting stronger by the day, and it's pointless for me to just destroy you, when you could help me, and I in return could help you?" He says softly..

"How?" Scythe curiously asks as Gregory continues to hide behind Scythe.

"It's quit simple, when I was a trainer like you there was one thing I wanted.. and that was to be the strongest and the best, I found so many different ways but only one way worked the best" He says pausing for a second leaving Scythe to ponder this one thing..

"Darkness…" He says as he raises his head up and winks at you..

"Darkness?!?" Scythe shouts in his own head as he remembers what the little girl from the house said way back when.

"Darkness can give you power, and it can provide you with that one thing… the one thing you have always wanted in your life. I mean aren't you tired of not being told what is going on? Elm and his buddies are parading around using you as there tools! But me, I noticed your potential. Basically I want you to join my group.. We are a group with a cause... We can make the world a better place bent on doing something great for the world, but first comes a price… with your help we can reach our goals, and with my help you can have that one thing you have always desired.. And ultimate power" The cloaked man chuckles as he thinks he is getting through to Scythe.

"Hell…darkness……..can cure your headaches!" he than points at Scythe and laughs. "How do you know about my headaches?!?!" Scythe ferociously yells back. "Scythe…we have to go…" Gregory whispers behind the boy. Scythe turns his head around and sees that Gregory is scared out of his mind.

"Because. I've been watching everything you do…and everything he does..." the man devilishly speaks into Scythe's right ear as he appears out of the darkness once again.
"HUH!" Scythe is quickly taken aback by the man's statement. "Who…who is he?…" Scythe asks as he begins to shake and falls on all fours.

Gregory watches in horror as the cloaked man picks Scythe up in the air by his neck and begins to speak, "You mean…you haven't met him yet? Well let me introduce you!"

"SCYTHE!" Gregory calls out in anguish as the cloaked man punches Scythe in the face and than chucks him into a tree. The cloaked man than turns and looks at the speechless and shocked ninja…"Don't worry…your next!" he says with a smile as he walks over to Scythe.

"ahh…ahhh…AHHHH!" Scythe cries out in pain as he tries to stand up…his head raging from all that has happened since his last blackout. "You see Mr. Rainer…your not the only one using that body…in fact…I think the other person would like to come out and here my arrangement!" the man once again speaks as he kicks the hurt Scythe in the face.

Scythe now lays there half unconscious…blood dripping down his face. "Fuuu..fuuuc..fuuck..yo..AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" Scythe lets out as he thrusts his body up and down while lying on the ground.

"Well. who am I speaking to now?" he questions as Scythe's body begins to stand up. "I'll give you a hint…my names not Scythe…" a different voice spoke from Scythe's body.

"Good show Good show! Ya know I've been waiting for you…I would like for you to join my.." "Shut the **** up." The different Scythe quickly interrupts the cloaked man's invitation. "What? But I thought someone of your nature would love to join me? I mean I've seen the things you've done and their pretty evil. so just do it!" The cloaked man nervously speaks as he begins to realize his plan may have backfired.

"Scythe…what are you doing…" the ten year old ninja speaks to himself as he watches the two older men talking.

"No I won't join you….because I work alone…but…maybe we can work something out?" the other Scythe notions to the cloaked man. "You've got my attention…what did you have in mind?" the cloaked man asks.

"Let's just do a partnership…if you ever need anything you call me and I'll do it…same goes for you when I have something?" he propositions. "hmmm" the cloaked man begins to ponder as he sits down on a rock, "Hmmm I can see that…fine but I've already got your first assignment." The cloaked man laughs as he raises a finger and points at Gregory. "What about him?" Scythe asks.

The cloaked man throws on a crooked smile and says, "Kill him…he's seen to much, and he's not an Elm trainer." "Easy as cake." The crazy Scythe speaks as he runs over to Gregory. "This should be good!" The cloaked man than laughs as he sits back and watches.

"Scythe are we leaving…is he letting us go?" the scared ninja questions who he believes to be his friend Scythe. "I'm not Scythe…my name is Seviin!" the boy speaks as he swings his arm and punches Gregory in the chest.

"*cough*" Gregory coughs as he falls backwards and coughs up blood. "Scythe…stop..ahh!" Gregory cries out for his friend as Seviin punches him in the face. "Your quite the annoying little cry baby ya know?" Seviin laughs as he unclips a pokeball from under the big green coat.

"SCYTHE!!!!!!!" Gregory hollers in agony as he tries to awaken the long gone Scythe. "He's not coming to help you!" Seviin laughs as he let's out Chuakpis from it's pokeball. "PIKA?" Chukapis aggressively questions Seviin as it notices the beat up Gregory.

"Chipakus or what ever the hell your name is…I need you to finish this little ninja off with a couple thundershocks" Seviin orders Scythe's pokemon. "Pi?" Chukapis confusingly asks. "Just do it!" Seviin shouts as he punches Chukapis in the face also.

"Pi…" Chukapis starts out as a tear begins to start in his eye, "PIKACHUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" Chukapis unhappily cries out as it begins to send over a thousand bolts of electricity coursing through Seviin and Scythes body.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Seviin cries out as he falls flat on his face.

The cloaked man watches from a distance before vanishing into the shadows.

"PI?? PIKA?" Chukapis alarmingly says as it runs over to the body. "Chu..Chukapis?" Scythe's voice begins to stutter as he slowly sits up. "PIKA!" Chukapis exclaims as it hugs it's trainer. "I'm not really sure what happened…but I'm sorry?" Scythe says to the mouse. "Chu Chu!" Chukapis exclaims as it waves Scythe over behind a log.

"GREGORY!" Scythe cries out as he sees the ninja lying on the ground, hurt but still awake. "is that you…Scythe?" the boy asks. "Ya…what happened?" The trainer questions back.

"I'm not…sure…you were talking to that guy as if nothing had happened and than you came over here….and you…you called yourself Seviin…and you wanted to kill me…" Gregory lets out before slowly falling unconscious.

Scythe looks at the boy once more as he sets him down on the ground..."Seviin?…I can't believe I would hurt…my, my…my friend…" he than thinks to himself as he puts his head down to the ground. "PI!" Chukapis hollers as he points to the cloaked man who is once again standing at the shrine.

"YOU!" Scythe angrily shouts as tears begin to burst from his eyes. "You *******! Your gonna pay for hurting my friend!" Scythe than shouts as he looks right at the man..no longer afraid.

"Me? Well what did I do? I believe you attacked the boy..yes that's correct" the cloaked man laughs as he stares Scythe right in the face.

"So I guess your not gonna join me than?" the cloaked man questioned. "Join you…you?...Hell no! I'm going to kill you!" Scythe rages on as he throws on a horrifying face.

"Hmmph well that's your choice…enjoy the lackey!" he says as he begins to melt back into the ground. "Lackey?" Scythe speaks as he begins to look around the shrine.

"Hoooooounn!" a howling type noise is made from behind Scythe. "There you are" Scythe smirks as he stares down the lackey. "PI?" Chukapis asks it's trainer. "Na Chukapis you take a break, let's give Shellder a turn." Scythe speaks as he tosses out a pokeball.

"SHELL!" Shellder says in a high pitched voice. Scythe than looks the lackey and says in confidence, "You do realize I'm going to be coming full force on you because of your master…I hope to god your ready." "Good luck" the man quietly says back with a laugh. Houndoom use ember!" the lackey commands. "Shellder use protect!" the trainer than orders his weakest pokemon. "Shel da!" Shellder squirts as it closes it's shell.

The ember attack smoothly drifts over Shellder's shell, and it quickly opens it back up. "Now Shellder use Supersonic!" Scythe swiftly orders. Shellder speedily sends a wave like attack at the black dog. "Houndoom use smog!" the cloaked trainer yells out.

"Houn?" the pokemon barks in a confused way. "Now Shellder use icicle spear and follow up with a tackle!" Scythe gracfully leads his pokemon through battle. "SHELL SHELL DAAA!" Shellder hollers as it sends icicles flying at the dark/fire pokemon, than sprung forward to use tackle.

"Hooooouuun Hoooouunn!" the Houndoom cries out as it is bombarded with icicles. "DAAAA!" Shellder roars as it smack it's shell into the side of Houndoom shooting it off into a rock.

"Well…that must have been luck…return houndoom…let's go Haunter!" the lackey grins as he sends out his next battler. "HAUUNN TERR!" The ghost type pokemon chuckles as it emerges from it's ball.

"Shellder return! Pidgeotto come on out!" Scythe swiftly switches pokemon. "PIDGOOT!" Pidgeotto chirps as it soars up into the air.

"Haunter use hypnosis!" the man orders. "Pidgeotto use whirlwind to throw that back at Haunter!" Scythe than commands.

Pidgeotto begins to sweep up a strong current and the Haunter's hypnosis attack rushes back at the ghost. "ZZZZZ" Haunter begins to snore as it falls asleep in battle. "HEY THAT'S NOT FAIR!" the lackey screams at Scythe.

"You *******s don't play fair! Chukapis use THUNDERBOLT!!!!" Scythe angrily blasts as he points at the cloaked man and his Haunter.

"Pi PIIIIIII PIIIIKAAAACHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" Chukapis loudly exclaims as it sends humungious bolts of lightning soaring at the two. "Whaaaa you can't!" the cloaked lackey cries as he starts to run away but gets struck by the lightning and collapses anyway, along with his Haunter.

"I'm sorry I'm not listening" Scythe smirks at the man as he returns Pidgeotto and rushes over to Gregory. "Gregory wake up…we gotta go…" Scythe whispers as he taps the boy on the face, and grabs Ariados's pokeball from the ground and clips it onto his belt. The boy slowly begins to get up and says, "Is he gone?" "Ya I.." Scythe starts out until he's interrupted.

"No, actually he's right here." The cloaked man speaks as he reappears behind Gregory and picks the boy up by his hair. "PUT HIM DOWN!" Scythe hollers as screams at the man.

"Actually I think not…you see you broke some official pokemon league rules when you had your mouse there interfere with your battle. And as a bonus you also attacked another trainer which is another fowl. Plus you compromised my business affairs with Mr. Seviin so there's another…which brings us to a grand total of three fowls. And Of Course someone's gotta pay for your crimes. Haha" The man lectures Scythe.

"What your gonna lecture me on stuff like that…" Scythe starts with his head down, "…If you don't put him down I swear I will make you pay!" He finishes as he throws his face up with the angriest look ever. "PIKA!" Chukapis agrees as it jumps up on Scythe's shoulder.

The man begins to laugh and than says, "Punishment #1. No more rat!" "What!" Scythe exclaims as he sees the man pointing behind Chukapis. As Scythe turns around he notices an immense sized Charizard flying above Chukapis, preparing some sort of attack.
"Chukapis look out!" Scythe shouts as he begins to dart towards his friend. "CHARRRRRRRR!!!" Charizard roars as huge flames begin to soar out of it's mouth, slamming into Chukapis.

"PIIIIIIIIII!!!!" Chukapis cries out as it is sent flying out of the forest. "AHHH, Chuka!" Scythe screams out as the flames send him flying off to the side.

As the flames clear Scythe begins to stand up and notices the Charizard is already gone. "Chuka..pis..no.." Scythe mumbles as he glances around sees the pokemon no where. "And for punishment #2. You friend here has to die…I mean he's kind of annoying anyway…I'm doing you a favor." The cloaked man laughs as he continues to hold Gregory up in the air by his hair.

"Scy…" Gregory weakly whimpers as he hangs in the air. "NOOO!" Scythe shouts in horror as a Weavile appears and slashes through the ninja. 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOO!" Scythe yells as the enemy tosses Gregory's lifeless body to the side.

"Now Punishment # 3. Your death!" He than speaks as something else begins to emerge in front of him out of the shadows. "GRRRR YOUR GONNA PAY!!!!" Scythe screeches as starts to run at the man, not realizing what was coming out of the darkness.

"What?" "Huh?" Scythe and the man both question as a faint cry is heard from in the forest. "What are you doing!" Scythe looks at the man who has an odd grin on his face, as a bright light begins to consume Scythe.

As the light clears Scythe realizes that he is no longer in the Ilex Forest, but on route 34. "How…." Scythe mutters as he drops to the ground and begins to cry.

Side Story

Back at the Ilex Forest Shrine The cloak man has long been gone after talking to each of you and Bugsy starts to wake up and start looking around… Suddenly over the Shrine a bright light flashes and a tiny pokemon appears floating above it back on it's back. It is the legendary Celebi..

"I have been gone so long… look at you my poor forest.. I wish I could stay with you, but sadly I must go once again, I must not let them achieve there goal" she says in her head to the forest..

Bugsy watches in aww as the legendary pokemon is right before his eyes.. But his eyes slowly turn to anger as the Dark cloaked man appears on the opposite side and pulls out what appears to be a stun gun..

"Celebi look out!" Bugsy screams

Celebi gets ready to leave before she is violently zapped and falls to the ground unconscious..

"Finally after all these years….I knew using these trainers as pawns would attract the true item I desired.. YOU!! Now we can put the full plan into action, and bring the Darkness back to the world!"

The man looks back to Bugsy "Oh I forgot about you, my bad we can't really let you go off running and telling anyone about this now could we?" he says Bugsy reacts quickly by jumping in front of the fallen pokemon and grabbing two pokeballs from under his belt.

"Don't you touch Celebi" He screams before releasing his Butterfree and Beedrill in front of it.

"Have it your way" he says releasing a Venusaur and Charizard. The battle lasts a whole five minutes before Bugsys pokemon are beaten and beaten badly.

"Well that was pretty fun I must say, it's been awhile since I have had a real battle now where is my gym badge? Hahahahha!!!!!! FOOL YOU WILL DIE JUST LIKE FALKNER AND SOON EVERY GYM LEADER IN JOHTO!!" he screams hysterically before having Venusaur hold him down with his vines and calling out his weavile he quickly tosses what appears to be a master ball at Celebi capturing it… He turns and walks away as he slowly vanishes into the shadows. A single tear falls from Bugsys head as he looks away knowing this is the end of the road...

Tim0789: Wow I don't even really know what to say... So Scythe has a dual personality named Seviin. That should be intresting... and poor Gregory... Anyways Scythe received a lvl 20 Male Ariados!Shellder grew to lvl 21! Chukapis grew to lvl 28! Pidgeotto grew to lvl 25!

By the time Kaitlyn and her Pokémon made it back to the Center, it was sundown and the moment she stepped into the Center, Nurse Joy was beckoning her to come over, stating she had a phone call from the Professor. "Hello?" Professor Elm's face drifts through the phone "Ahh it is good to hear from you" he says something in his voice didn't sound right "Something's wrong" Kaitlyn thought with a suspicious frown "I just wanted to call you and tell you that it is about time you enter the Ilex forest, I have analyzed the situation and it seems to be alright to enter, I need to call the others so goodbye!" he said before she swore she heard him whisper "I'm sorry…." but she could barley make out what he said, before the phone disconnected "Weird" she murmured before hanging up the phone.

"Well C'mon guys, we've dawdled long enough, if the forest hasn't opened up by now, we'll force the police to let us in. I'll kick all their asses by myself if I have to!" her trio sweat dropped, because they knew Kaitlyn and was pretty sure she'd do it. It didn't take them long to make their way over to Ilex Forest, but the instant they stood outside the entrance, Kaitlyn felt the hairs of her neck stand on end, she had a bad feeling about this.

But there was no turning back!

She made it this far and would be damned if she backed down now. Odd thing was though, Kaitlyn blinked and rubbed at her eyes, wondering if she was seeing things, because a picture of the shrine appeared before her and lying in front of it is Bugsy . . .

Who was unconscious . . .

Was that some sort of premonition?

Something about this forest felt off, sure it looked nice on the outside, but now that she was in, it felt absolutely sinister, there was not form of organic life here, trees were wilted, the sky was dark, plants were dead and none of the normal Pokémon seem to be around, the air was harsh and stale, making it feel as though it were hard to breathe.

"C'mon guys, this place is a bit too weird for my tastes, lets just find Bugsy and get the hell out of here" Snoopy and Sho nodded, not liking this place one but Stitch loved it, but she was a dark and ghost Pokémon who enjoyed dark creepy places like this, so its perfectly understandable.

"Gahhh! This is why I hate forests!! I'm always getting lost in these damned things" Kaitlyn turned to Stitch and the Ghost looked back at her trainer "Hey Stitch, your good with this sorta stuff, think you could lead us to like the heart of this place or something?" The Sableye nodded and Kaitlyn, Snoopy and Sho followed the ghost as she led them through the dark forest.

FINALLY IM POSTING

It felt like it had been hours since Cairne has wandered into the monochrome forest, he pulled out his phone in the hopes of calling Elm but to his dismay there were no bars in these woods. "No big surprise there..." Then Cairne looked more intensely at his phone and realized the time was exactly the same as it was when he first entered the forest. "Must be broken..." Cairne whispered to himself as he approached a place in the woods where the trees were bent over into a dome-like shape. "Baron," Cairne looked down at his now mutated Pokemon, "Use your ember! Burn me a clear path!"

Baron shot blue flames out and burned a large hole in the dome. Cairne and Baron walked into the small dome. Inside there was a sort of shrine and all the way in the center laid Bugsy completely unconscious. Cairne felt chills climb up his spine as he approached the gym leaders body.

"You know," Cairne heard a voice and turned around. "They say this shrine was built to a Pokemon known as Celebii, the time travel Pokemon." Cairne could feel anger welling up inside of him.

"Baron! Use Mud Bomb!" Cairne yelled but he was interrupted by the black cloaked man.

"Stop! I'm not here for a fight we both know I would win! All I wish to do is give you a proposition." Cairnes attention turned to the black cloaked man now.

"I don't want to make any deals with you!" Cairne yelled at him.

"Oh, but I think you do young Cairne! You see I have everything you want! I have answers! I have respect! And most importantly, I have power! You and your little friends grow stronger and stronger by the day, it would be such a waste to eliminate such potential as yours my young friend. Join me and my cause and I will help you acheive your wildest dreams." Cairne felt his body relax.

"I'm listening.." Cairne said in response.

The cloaked man smirked. "When I was your age I wanted exactly what you do, and I wanted it now. But, I made a mistake you see, I picked the wrong side and I never could find that one thing I always needed. I was being used as you are now, you are a tool of that stupid professor and his little friends, ever your grandfather doesnt trust you... But, you see young Cairne, I trust you! I see your potential and I say you need to use it the best way you can. All you need to do is join me, and I will mold you into the ultimate trainer, all you need to do is give yourself up to me... And to darkness..." The man pulled back his hood and gave a cool smirk at Cairne.

"Darkness?..." Cairne looked down at Baron who would support Cairne no matter his choice.

"With darkness I found the answers to all my questions and ultimate strength. You've seen what I can do, don't you want to be a part of that? Join my group, our goal is to revolutionize the entire world for the better... I won't lie to you, it does of course, come at a price my friend... But its a small price considering the the result. Trust me when I say darkness is what you need... It could be what saves you from weakness..... And it could be what saves Bugsy." He extended one hand for Cairne to shake and the other with a knife aimed at Bugsys throat.

Cairne hesitated."You will make me strong?"

"More than you can even imagine!" The man said grabbing at Cairnes palm. "Good choice my friend!" Cairne could feel himself being absorbed into darkness and his eyes slowly rolled into the back of his head.

"Ugh. How long have we been walking in this damn place. Are you sure you know where your going Stitch?" the Sableye scowled and looked back at Kaitlyn with a look that clearly said 'do you really doubt me' she laughed nervously and put her hands up in a defeat like gesture "You are totally right, trust the Pokémon who understands darkness way more than I do" Kaitlyn sighed, she had thought about giving the professor a call, but she had no signal and the phone was oddly stuck in time "figures, this is how it happens in horror movies, next thing I know the bad guy is gonna pop out of know where with a machete, about ready to lob my head off."

When she heard the bushes rustle slightly, Kaitlyn made quick work with her feet, hoping that her sarcasm would not get her killed. After they walked a bit more, she noticed a bunch of trees were out of place, they were all bent over, creating a dome like structure "Creepy" she mumbled and all three of the Pokémon nodded in agreement "C'mon, lets check it out" she sighed, having a bad feeling about this as Snoopy busted the door down and they all stepped inside, Kaitlyn froze when she saw the shrine from before and Bugsy lying at the middle of it "I don't know why I'm doing stupid stuff like this. . . I mean, I'm practically telling a killer to come out and cut my head clean off."

"Yeah, you are pretty stupid" a familiar voice chuckled before speaking up again"They say that shrine was made for the time travel Pokémon Celebi long ago" Kaitlyn froze and quickly whirled around to glare at the man who was the root of all her problems at the moment "You!" she hissed as all three of her Pokémon got into a battle ready stance "Calm down spitfire. I'm not here to fight." He held up his hands in a calm gesture, while his eyes glinted and he ground out slowly "I have a proposition for you."

"A proposition?" she echoed relaxing slightly, but not enough for her guard to be completely down he nodded "You and your fellow trainers are getting stronger by the day, and it's pointless for me to just destroy you, when you could help me, and I in return could help you?" He said it so softly and sincere, she almost didn't hear or believe him "What do you mean?" she blinked in confusion after the man.

"It's quit simple, when I was a trainer like you there was one thing I wanted, and that was to be the strongest and best, I found so many different ways but only one way worked the best . . ." He paused for a second and Kaitlyn quirked a brow, urging him to continue "Darkness…" He murmured in a almost breathy tone before she saw him raise his head and wink at her, that creeped her out a bit "Weirdo" a voice sing-songed in the back of her head "Darkness can give you power, and it can provide you with that one thing. . . the one thing you have always wanted in your life. . ." Kaitlyn instantly thought about when she was younger and how she oh so desperately wanted other members of the opposite sex, to see her as herself and not as this weird girl who looked like a boy and those who assumed she had a fetish for cross-dressing "Aren't you tired of not being told what is going on? Elm and his buddies are parading around using you as there tools! But me, I noticed your potential."

". . ." Kaitlyn didn't have a response for that, her brows just furrowed thoughtfully and her Pokémon looked on as the girl continued to listed to the man and his sweet coaxing words, Its was true, the professor seemed to be beating around the bush lately and that phone call from earlier was definitely suspicious, what was he apologizing for and why did he sound so . . .

Guilty.

"Basically—" her eyes snapped back to his cloaked form and she shook herself out of her thoughts, he continued patiently and in a soft tone "I want you to join my group. .. We are a group with a cause. . . We can make the world a better place bent on doing something great for the world, but first comes a price. . . with your help we can reach our goals, and with my help you can have that one thing you have always desired. . . and ultimate power" He turned and looked briefly at Bugsy before looking back at Kaitlyn "It could even save his life" her eyes widened and she stared mutely at his hand that he'd held up for a shake.

Everything you've always desired and ultimate power.

The words weaved like silk through her ears, it sounded so promising, to be respected! To not have those stupid boys tease her, to not be laughed at by those other girls who thought they were better than her to—

So your just gonna give up?

A voice that sounded suspiciously like Rafe's echoed through her head, Kaitlyn froze as the voice spoke up "That's not how you earn the respect you've desired for so long, that's not how you show those boys the real you. You're just cheating and getting the easy way out! You'd be disgracing the Manson name if you go with this creep! What would mom think? Elijah would have another heart attack and the Twins! They'd disown you on the spot, Kane would be severely disappointed and Me? I'll kick your ass from here all the way home as soon as I find out!"

A small smile graced Kaitlyn's lips as she honed back in on the present, staring down at the offered hand, the chestnut haired girl turned her head away from him and clenched her fists by her side "Sorry, but no. I'll take my chances with the Professor and an unconscious Bugsy, and I'll earn the respect I've always wanted on my own and ultimate power. . . its not my thing" she waved him off and the man scowled briefly, before a small devious smirk settled on his features " Very well then. Like my old colleagues from Kanto you are a fool Kaitlyn. Now face your destruction!" Then, two trainers cloaked in white, materialized out of thin air releasing their Pokémon.

Haunter
The Gas Pokémon
Haunter is a dangerous Pokémon. If one beckons you while floating in darkness, you must never approach it. This Pokémon will try to lick you with its tongue and steal your life away.

"Sho and Stitch, your up" The Pikachu and Sableye stepped up and glared at their opponents "Houndoom start off with Howl, then Thunder Fang and Haunter use Shadow Punch!" the two dark Pokémon quickly darted into action, with Houndoom giving an ear shattering howl, lifting his head towards the sky before lowering it and lunging at the two with sparking fangs. Sho's eyes widened when he suddenly found a fist slammed into his gut and he was sent flying, while Stitch shrieked as Houndoom's sparking teeth sank into her unprotected arm.

"Stitch! Sho!" Houndoom just smirked wickedly and sank his teeth harder into Stitch's arm before it flung her right into Sho, who was standing, only to be sent spiraling back to the ground with Stitch on top of him, both caught up in a tangle of limbs as they attempted to right themselves. "Pikachu!" Sho quickly scampered to his feet, with Stitch in tow, both ran at their opponents, Sho striking both of them with Thunder Wave, causing both to stiffen as their muscles locked in place and Stitch used Night Shade on Haunter.

"Now while their paralyzed! Sho use Sweet Kiss on Houndoom and Stitch use Night Shade again!" Stitch nodded and her claws grew dark, she then disappeared and then reappeared behind Haunter, slashing at the Ghost with her ominous looking claws "Haunnnter!" it groaned out and Stitch smirked before glancing at Sho, who had ran up to Houndoom and pecked him on the cheek, causing hearts to form in the dog's eyes before it began using Thunder Fang on itself "Awesome job you two!" Stitch and Sho high fived each other briefly before looking back at their opponents "Alright guys, lets finish this! Sho use Thunder Shock on Houndoom and Stitch, Night Shade again!"

Sho and Stitch nodded before their began charging their signature attacks respectively, Stitch stuck with quick precision when she used Night Shade, hitting Haunter right between the eyes before it collapsed into a heap with swirly eyes and Houndoom, who was still biting himself with Thunder Fang, cried out when his entire body lit up like a Christmas tree and he fainted as well, right beside Haunter.

The trainers recalled their Pokémon, glaring at Kaitlyn, who smirked, but it soon fell when she saw the guy in black pull out his own Pokéball and tossed it down, out coming a vicious looking Weavile, that sneered at them, this caused the Kaitlyn and her trio to stiffen briefly before they all glared at the Weavile "Stand your ground guys, we've got him out numbered 3 to 1"

Weavile
The Sharp Claw Pokémon
They live in cold regions, forming groups of four or five that hunt prey with impressive coordination.

Snoopy, Sho and Stitch tense as they await Kaitlyn's orders, which she was about to give, but a faint cry echoes throughout the clearing and the cloaked guy lifts his head, a wide triumphant grin plastered on his face "Why is he smiling like that" she wondered, feeling slightly unnerved by it, but before anything else could happen, a bright flash of light blinds her.

When Kaitlyn came to, she was outside the forest and a big sign that said Route 34 was staring her in the face. She blinked and looked at her Pokémon, who looked just as lost and clueless as she "Something had saved us. . ." whatever it was, the presence felt familiar "But. . . what happened to Bugsy?" she spoke aloud to no one in particular as she looked around for the green haired man, a sudden chill coursed through her body and Kaitlyn's eyes widened, her mind flashing back to that triumphant grin on his face .

"Oh no."

Chapter 1
Friends or Foes?
Part 1
(This part is meant to be TWO FREE posts! You do not have to only choose between pond pokemon, and the land ones!)
The last thing you saw before vanishing out of the forest was the evil grin on the cloaked mans face… A lot of thoughts start to cross through your mind all at once.

  • What was this plan he was working on.
  • What about Bugsy?
  • How did you get here?
  • Did the other trainers end up with this choice?
  • And if so, did they make the same choice as you…

After these thoughts cross your mind you start to wonder where on the earth you were teleported to? You start looking around until you notice a sign which reads <Route 33, Goldenrod City> As you see this a sign of hope glimmers as you realize there is another gym leader there, and maybe another chance to save ones life.

Route 34 is full of life unlike the forest there is a newly added pond up ahead on the left full of wild water pokemon..

Part 2
As you continue along the route that is route 33 you feel your phone on your pokegear start to vibrate and you quickly look at it to find that it is an unknown number. You pick it up figuring it must be important.

"Hello" the voice of an older man says on the other end. You ask who this is.

"It's Grecko" he says in his deep voice.. Something about his voice makes you feel a lot better about things, since he did save you before and all. You ask him what he needs.

"You must make hast to Goldenrod city, once you reach the entrance there will be a Pokemon Ranger waiting to escort you to the pokemon center meeting room" he says.
You can hear the importance in his voice and you agree but you decide to ask him what's going on.

"Just get here now! Your safety is important to Johto at this moment everything will be explained once you arrive, I must call the others now" he says before hanging up the phone.

You realize then that you must hurry to Golden Rod and with that you are off..

One thing that has changed about route 33 is the Day Care center. It was once an important icon in Johto having one of the first known eggs, but once the old couple passed away it was torn down and built into a Power plant to supply Golden Rod with its needs of power. You know now is not the time to check it out so you slowly start to walk away… As you take one look back you notice a man cloaked in white standing inside the entrance just staring straight at you or so it appears.… Apart of you wants to keep on moving thinking it may have just been a worker but you know that is not true. Everywhere these cloaked men have been there has been trouble, and you can't let it happen again so you run off towards the power plant.

The entrance here is dim, and as you peak your head in you notice all the machinery and many wires that run this place… You realize it is all machine run with no humans actually working there. As you keep walking further in you don't find anything out of the ordinary… Until you peak around another corner and see the man cloaked in white standing there just waiting for you. He starts to speak; "Hello there" he says softly. You ask him why he led you here.

"There are a lot of unknown things in this world… One of those unknown things happen to be in Golden Rod City" he says. You ask him what he means by that and what his true intentions are.

"Listen I am throwing you a bone here, I work for the black cloaked dude but apart of me had some information on another matter… Regarding a certain thought to be dead team rocket leader.." The man says as you are shocked by what he is talking about, Team Rocket has been disbanded for decades since Giovanni's passing. He has been the only ruler you can think of, but he couldn't be talking about that… could he?

"I see your confused, well just trust me… when you reach Golden Rod, you need to be careful, something is going to go down there" the man says as he reaches for his pokeball you ask him what he is doing.

"Oh well I just can't give you information then let you run away without a fight now can I?" He says as he releases a Persian.

Part 3
After the strange events in the Power plant you start to prepare yourself for what may happen in the Golden Rod. And what did he really mean by a "Thought to be dead team rocket leader?" As you approach the city limits of Goldenrod you notice a man wearing a weird red outfit he is actually the Pokemon Ranger awaiting yours and the rest of the Dex holders team. Standing next to him is a Charmelon. Once you get to him he greets you and welcomes you to golden rod city.

"As soon as everyone arrives we shall be off to the Pokemon center, we have no time to look around the town I am sorry" he says.. So you wait around for awhile until finally all of the Dex Holders have shown, and apart of you starts to feel better knowing that everyone has chosen the right side.. Little do you know some of them have not.

As you slowly make your way towards the pokemon center you start to hear the faint cries of people in the streets and you turn to see a heard of raging Tauros come running through the streets of Golden Rod and the Ranger quickly reacts calling out his Charmelon and he asks for your help.

After your each calm down a Tauros the Ranger pulls out his styler and quickly befriends them causing them to calm down, he thanks you for your help and sends the Tauros on there way.. A part of you wonders what made the Tauros attack, and you start to wonder if Team Rocket had a part in this.

You enter the pokemon center to see Prof. Elm standing at the counter with a very worried look on his face… Whatever this meeting is about it can not be very good.

Volume 2
Dark Brotherhood Chapter 1
Part 1

When the darkness recedes you look around you and realize that you are in a twisted backward place. Buildings curl and trees float upside down over you on drifting pieces of earth. Staircases go upwards and downwards and all sort of wards. The only creatures you see beside yourself are small creatures in the shape of letters and symbols.

"Welcome to our home base, also known as the Reverse World... It is the home of a Pokemon named Giratina and it is the backwards dimension mirroring our own. Here time works differently than in our own world, one week here could be ten minutes in the real world. From here I can travel anywhere and do whatever I wish, thanks to these little fellows." The now unhooded black cloaked man points to the alphabet Pokemon. "They go by the name Unown and that is what they truly are. All we know about them is that they are the servants of the legends and bestow amazing gifts upon different people all depending on who they are. I was given control of this place while its master is away, and with that power I am essentially god here." He looks down on you. And begins walking closer and closer to the edge of the platform he is on. He steps off and dissapears. You run up and check the edge and realize he must have fallen to his death but all of a sudden you hear his voice.

"Here things work a little oddly you see. You can walk on water and crawl the ceiling, gravity can be whatever you chose, so choose wisely...." He lets out a snicker. "I've arranged for you to do some sparring with some old friends so I can gauge your potential before we send you out to your first mission, I'm sure you will remember them!" He begins laughing maniacally. Out from the shadows comes the trainer who you fought in the Ruins of Alph. Now is your time for revenge, unleash your emotions, your anger, your hatred and take him down.

You end the battle in quite the violent way, some might call it overkill... The mans voice resonates behind you. " Fantastic my young friend, you are improving drastically!" All of a sudden your phone rings and you hear the familiar voice of the man from the ruins.

"This is Grecko, I'm glad to hear you are okay but we need you to join us in the Pokemon Center in Goldenrod, I'm sorry to say we sent out all of our rangers prematurely and we are now out so you are going to have to make your way there alone." The line goes dead and the cloaked man stands there smiling.

"Perfect timing!" He snickers and then snaps his fingers. All of a sudden the Unown fly around you and dissapear leaving you on Route 33 all alone. "I should be seeing you soon, just go to the meeting." You hear The cloaked mans voice resonate in your mind.

All of a sudden from teh shadows appears three other cloaked people and from behind you run several of the Dex holders, they must have joined too!

"What's wrong with these Pokemon!?" You hear one of the other Dex Holders ask.

"It must be Team Rocket up to their old tricks again, the idiots just dont know when to give up!" Comes a response from one of the cloaked men. All of a sudden a small army of Tauros rush your way and you and your allies are forced to fight them.

The dark violet aura surrounding the two soon receded, Damion withstood his calm demeanor as an entirely new world opened up to him. A dark place, the sky around them was a dark violet with even darker clouds. The boy looked around, no floor was present. Only the pieces of large earth floating around aimlessly. Atop these pieces of floating earth stood buildings, structures that were twisted in ways impossible. Trees curled inward, some even floating upside down, their roots visible.

Staircases pointed at all angles, the rules of physics clearly did not apply here. This entire world was filled with a dark presence, full of hatred and loneliness. This might be the most darkest place in the entire world, but strangely, Damion felt at home. The boy closed his eyes as he processed what was going on, his peeked one eyes open when he heard a high-pitched squeal. The boy was staring into a large white eye, the boy sweatdropped and inched away. There were a couple of black, floating things. All in different shapes, but all shared the same big, white eye.

"Welcome to our home base, also known as the Reverse World... It is the home of a Pokemon named Giratina and it is the backwards dimension mirroring our own. Here time works differently than in our own world, one week here could be ten minutes in the real world. From here I can travel anywhere and do whatever I wish, thanks to these little fellows." The man pointed at the floating objects as he slipped off his large, black hood.

"Yeah...these things...what are they?" Damion said as he eyed the objects that were circling him playfully.

"They go by the name Unown and that is what they truly are. All we know about them is that they are the servants of the legends and bestow amazing gifts upon different people all depending on who they are. I was given control of this place while its master is away, and with that power I am essentially god here." The uncloaked man's pale face stared into Damion's crimson eyes, the boy glaring right back. The man turned and chuckled as he walked towards the edge of the floating piece of dark earth they stood on.

"Hehehe...You see..." The man started his conversation as he stepped off of the ledge, his body twisting and turning as he plummeted to his obvious death. Damion's eyes widened,

"What the hell?" He mumbled under his breath as he made his way to the edge, he carefully inched to the ledge and peeked over. His eyes widened as he saw the man standing on another floating piece of earth and staring at him, only that one was floating vertically.

"Gravity, and the entire idea of physics, work differently here. You can walk on walls, crawl on the ceilings, swim upwards...gravity is at your whim. But use it wisely..." The man chuckled as the piece of earth floated by the boy's eyes,

"I've arranged for some sparring matches to be held for you, so I can successfully gauge your potential, I'm sure you will remember him..."

A puddle of dark violet liquid formed a few yards away from Damion's feet, the boy sighed and stared at the man who formed from it. The man stared at Damion with a chilling bloody red eye, the same eye that stared him down at the Ruins of Alph.

"Heh. Hello child, glad to see you're well..." The man said with a dark chuckle, Damion scoffed.

"Well champions must prosper." With those words, Damion clutched his pokeball, the man doing the same. Two pokemon appeared in a dazzle of light and smoke, a purple skunk appeared on the man's side. It's black eyes boring into his opponent's soul, and his padded feet digging into the soil as it braced for battle.

"Hoot." Damion's chilly voice spoke out as the owl pokemon appeared, flapping his wings with great force. The surrounding environment seemed to not faze the pokemon as its eyes glowed a faint red, the same color of Damion's eyes.

"Confusion."

"Smokescreen."

Both trainer's voices echoed trough the dark abyss, mirroring their hearts. The Skunky reared up and released a thick cloud of smog that blanketed the arena, Hoot quickly escaped the smoke by flapping its wings and flying upwards. His eyepiece glowed faintly and released a Psychic attack in the form of a rigid bolt that struck the Skunky, sending it flying into the abyss.

"Land on the piece of earth nearest you." The man commanded, the Skunky righted itself in the air and landed on a piece of floating earth that hovered upside down. Damion was amused by this new battling experience,

"Should be no problem for a flying pokemon. Peck!"

"Poison Gas!"

Damion ordered his Noctowl, who flew swiftly into the air and aimed his razor sharp beak at the skunk pokemon. The Stunky in return aimed his tail at the pokemon, and released a stream of dark green smog that engulfed the owl pokemon. Hoot plummeted down onto the piece of earth Stunky was floating on,

"Take Down." Damion ordered as he flicked the jagged hair away from his eyes, Hoot quickly regaining his stature and collided with the poison type's body. Stunky was launched onto another piece of earth floating vertically,

"Hurry. Peck attack!" Damion ordered once more, Hoot quickly flapped his wings on the ground to launch his body with full force and speed. His razor sharp beak actually landing a hit this time, burrowing into the Stunky's fur. A small amount of crimson blood spewed out of the pokemon, the poison pokemon was pinned to the bark of a tree.

"Like the feeling of your Pokemon suffering?" Damion asked as he chuckled to himself,

"Don't really know, this is my first time watching." The man growled, Damion scoffed as he flicked his arm. Hoot grinned darkly as his eyepiece began to glow, his confusion attack forced out into a blunt object. The attack slammed into the pokemon's head with skull-crushing force, the pokemon clearly suffering.

"Toxic!" The man yelled, Stunky's body weak and limp, released a quick spray of dark sludge that covered the pokemon's body.

"Crap. Take Down!" Damion ordered, the poisoned Noctowl's body crashed into the Poison type's body. Both pokemon plummeting to their original battle field, still covered in a blanket of dark smog. The man saw an opportunity,

"Night Slash!" The man growled in a dark voice, striking fear into his own pokemon. The Stunky quickly maneuvered his way through the smog and leaped into Hoot's body, slashing away at his body.

"Fly up and use Take Down." Damion ordered, clearly knowing that this will hurt Hoot. The Noctowl struggled to fly off of the earth, powerful beats of his wings eventually allowed him to float into the air. The Stunky clinging on with his long claws. Hoot closed his eyes shut as he dive bombed onto the battle field, a thick cloud of smoke arising. Hoot's body stood there, limp and weak. The Noctowl looked down at the defeated Stunky, victory swelling in his chest.

"Heh. You did good, rook." The man chuckled darkly, Damion scoffed. Both trainer's recalled their pokemon. Damion threw his pokeball at Hoot, quickly engulfing it in a puff of smoke and floating back to Damion's hand.

"Girafarig."

"Sprink."

Two new pokemon were released, a blanket of smoke masking the two. A large, yellow pokemon with large brown eyes and two white antennas stood tall. A dark brown tail and bottom half contrasted his lighter yellow half, a Girafarig.

Sprink's familiar face appeared and raised her snout in the air, a large devious grin spreading across her face. Her deep crimson eyes stared deeply into Girafarig's, striking fear into his heart.

"Charge."

"Psybeam!"

Sprink smirked as her fur grew thicker, it went from a plain white color to a rich golden color. The Flaaffy screeched with glee as she towered over to Girafarig, who in turn reared up as a small spark of oddly colored energy crackled in between his horns.

A crackling beam of assorted colors was launched at Sprink,

"Heh, not wasting any time are we?" Damion smirked as the beam rocketed towards Sprink, the electric pokemon smirked as her fur quickly reduced in size.

"Thundershock!" Damion ordered, a rigid stream of bright electricity was released from Sprink's body. The Thundershock attack collided with the psybeam, the two attacks were locked at their peaks of strength. Sprink inched closer, as did Girafarig. Soon, the two pokemon were only a few inches apart.

"Stomp!" The man yelled, Girafarig reared up and jabbed his two upper feet to pin down Sprink's body. The attack subsided as the pokemon's body was enveloped in a barrage of sparks,

"Fool, my Flaaffy has the ability Spark. Now your Girafarig is paralyzed." Damion smirked, the Girafarig looked back at his trainer with stiff movements.

"Cotton Spore." Damion commanded, the Flaafy released a cloud of spores carried by small green seeds. The cloud of white spores covered the Girafarig and slowed him down,

"Thundershock!" A quick bolt of lightning struck the Girafarig, causing him to step back. Damion smirked and quickly flicked his hand,

"Growl!" Sprink released a high-pitched whine that shook Girafarig's spine, the pokemon staggered and fell to the floor. The pokemon was trying to block out what it could of the sound,

"Zen Headbutt!"

"Charge!!"

Both trainer's ordered sharply, Girafarig reared up and rocketed at Sprink. The electric pokemon puffed up its fur and growled at the oncoming psychic type, the Girafarig's horns glowed a faint purple as they struck the Flaaffy's large fur.

"Heh. A cushion, eh?" The man chuckled to himself as he ordered the Girafarig to push harder, Sprink struggled to stand her ground.

"Hold him by the horns!" Damion ordered, the Flaaffy nodded and grabbed the Girafarig by his horns. The electric type pushed the Girafarig back a few steps and grinned as she diminished in size rapidly.

"Thundershock." Damion ordered cooly, the current of electricity released from Sprink's body and channeled through the Girafarig's horns. The pokemon thrashed about as his body was being shocked mercilessly.

The Girafarig soon stopped struggling as he fell to the floor with a thud, swirls in his eyes. Sprink panted as she towered over the fallen Girafarig. The man growled as he quickly returned Girafarig, Damion did the same with his signature calm demeanor. The battle field was barren and quiet, two pokemon quickly flung into the air and revealed two new pokemon. Damion cursed under his breath as the large wolf appeared, his dark eyes calculating his opponent as his large feet releasing heat which charred the earth underneath him.

Taro appeared and growled at the Arcanine, his entire being full of hostility. Taro dug his feet into the ground and readied himself for battle. The man chuckled,

"A Larvitar? It STILL hasn't evolved, hahaha. Baby want a bottle?" The man chuckled to himself, the Arcanine obviously amused and smiled as his trainer laughed. Damion merely scoffed, Taro's eyes growing bloody red as he growled.

"Extreme Speed!" The man quickly injected, Arcanine reacting unbelievably fast and dashing down the field with incredible speed. Damion smirked,

"Rock Slide." Taro growled as he sung both his arms into the air, a large pointed boulder erected from the ground and struck Arcanine. The fire pokemon was launched into a far off piece of earth, the pokemon panted heavily. He was devastatingly weak to rock attacks, and Damion knew that.

"Fire Fang!"

"Stone Edge."

Taro's horn glowed an ominous white as several rings surrounded his body, the rings soon morphed into several sharp boulder. Damion smirked,

"Rise up towards Arcanine!" Damion ordered, Taro grinned as he thrusted his arm downwards. The sharp boulder, though small, was big enough to carry Taro. The Larvitar quickly rode the boulder into the piece of earth that Arcanine stood on, the several other boulders still hovering around his body.

The large wolf pokemon opened his gaping mouth, his teeth surrounded by passionate flames that covered his entire mouth. The Arcanine moved into towards the Larvitar as he landed on the piece of floating earth, the fire pokemon lowered his jaws to bit down onto Taro. The Larvitar swiftly moved a stone into the Arcanine's mouth, smashing some of his teeth and cutting up the pokemon's gums.

The Arcanine howled in pain and inched back, Damion flicked his hand as he ordered Taro to strike. The Larvitar grinned as he swung his arm in a circle and pointed at the Arcanine, the several boulders imitating his arm's movements and were finally launched at the fire pokemon.

Arcanine was launched into a piece of earth that just barely began to float near them, Taro quickly hopped on as the piece floated by close enough for him to jump on.

"Damn. I can't use thunderfang either, Extreme Speed!" The man yelled out, his Arcanine moving swiftly and striking Taro. The Larvitar was launched back down and plummeted to the original battle ground with a thud,

"Taro! Crap, Dark Pulse." Damion raised his arm in a swift movement, the Larvitar plunged his arms into the floor. Taro's horn grew a dark violet as a ring of dark aura was launched towards Arcanine, the ring was quickly erected and struck Arcanine. The fire pokemon flinched, giving Damion a chance.

"Rock Slide." Damion's voice was chilly, as Taro summoned a large boulder from the ground. The boulder hovered over the flinching ARcanine, Damion grinned as the pokeball clipped to his waist began to glow a faint blue. The boulder was quickly pulled apart and exploded, into numerous razor sharp stones that surrounded the ARcanine.

"Heh. Looks like you've learned a few tricks while you were in Azalea." The man chuckled, Damion simply scoffed.

"Stone Edge." With that command, Taro quickly unleashed a barrage of razor sharp stones that froze alongside the psychic-filled boulders.

"Close in." Damion ordered, both his Noctowl and Larvitar slowly moved the boulder close and closer into the Arcanine. The razor sharp boulder now creating an entire cloak made of razor sharp stone, only the pokemon face was left bare. The razor sharp stones dug into the pokemon's fur, going in further...and further. Blood spewing out from the boulder,

"Had enough?" Damion said as the boulder closed in, the man smirked. Damion's eyes went from amused to hate, the boy clenched his fist. The stones quickly spread out and then darted back in and struck the Arcanine. The pokemon fell to the floor with a loud thud, the man scoffed and returned the large behemoth. Damion doing the same,

"Haha. Very entertaining, you've improved drastically." The man chuckled darkly, Damion smirked. The boy looked down at his chest when his PokeGear began to vibrate, he flipped it open to reveal the screen ringing.

Ring Ring Ring! Phone Call! Phone Call!

The phone blurted out, Damion looked at the time. 6:30, the same time it was when he entered the forest. The same time his life changed, Damion quickly answered the call.

"This is Grecko, I'm glad to hear you are okay. But we urgently need to you over here in Goldernrod, I regret to inform you that we sent all of our rangers prematurely and now we have no one to escort you. You have to come by yourself, meet us at the Pokemon center."

The line was abruptly cut off, as the original cloaked man walked up to Damion. His pale face and blank eyes stared at Damion as he chuckled darkly.

"Perfect..." The man said coldly as he snapped his fingers, a line of Unown quickly hovered over to Damion and circled him. The pokemon danced around a bit, and drastically altered Damion's environment. The boy looked around, the cloaked man was gone, the Unown were gone. He was all alone....again.

"I should be seeing you soon enough. Just go to the meeting for now." The man's voice was cold and shallow. Damion sighed and nodded, he closed his eyes and placed his earphones over his head. He turned his head to read the sign:

Route 33.

Charizard_Man: Awesome post! Hoot grew to lvl 29! Sprink grew to lvl 29! Taro grew to lvl 30! Taro wants to evolve will you let it??

Sahib shuddered, remembering the grin on the man's face. It was…almost inhuman. It definitely creeped Sahib out, but of course he would never admit something. Currently he was sitting up on the ground, several thoughts wondering through his head. He bit his lip. What…what plan are they talking about? Sahib wondered as he slowly glanced around. Bugsy entered his mind once more, and though Sahib wanted to hope…he somehow knew that it was too late. Another thing that was bugging him was how in the hell did he get there? It was like he was suddenly teleported by someone…or something. Sahib shook his head and let out a shaky breath. Then he thought of something that made him feel sick, like he wanted to barf. What about the other trainers? What side did they…Sahib thought. He stared at the soft soil still in his hand. Did they make the same choice, or…?

Sahib shook his head. Then he stood up, wiping his hand off on his pants. He looked at the sign that was conveniently located next to him. He brushed a bit off dirt that was smudging the number off, and noticed that it was Route 34. He stared at the sign silently, knowing that the city of Goldenrod was coming up. He also knew of the gym leader. I've gotta do something this time! Sahib thought, clenching his fists and half glaring at the sign. His jaw locked. I'm not going to stand by and watch someone else die for those jerks! Sahib thought angrily. He was truly beginning to get very peeved with those dark jerks, and was going to do everything he could to stop them. To Sahib, it didn't matter how tough they were—he was going to try as hard as he could anyway! Letting out a calming breath, Sahib turned and then began his way along the route.

As he walked along the route, a tiny smile spread across Sahib's face. He found that the route was nice and peaceful. It was full of life, something that also made him feel a bit better. Though Sahib was generally considered a "dark" kid, he really didn't like to be in a dark place that made him feel…evil. Sahib didn't want to be evil, so he tried to avoid much of the temptation. Sahib was actually rather proud of himself for his display in front of the hooded guy. A sick feeling came back in his stomach once more, then he pushed the thoughts of the choice and hooded guy away. He didn't think something was quite right, but what, he couldn't just put his finger on.

Sahib soon came to a nice (and new) looking pond. He sat down on the back, tugging off his socks and shoes. Sahib decided that he wanted to rest before he got to Goldenrod. So he did just that. Sahib stuck his feet in the water, lay back against the shore, laced his fingers together behind his head, and closed his eyes. He snapped his thought process off as much as possible, and simply focused on the feel of the cool water and warm sun. He was slowly dozing off, when there was a tickle on his leg. Sahib grumbled, nose wrinkling. He slipped back into a nap-like haze, when there was a clamping sound. Sahib's eyes snapped open and he shot about a foot in the air. Hanging off his leg, was a Wartortle.

"I am not a fishing line!" Sahib cried. The Wartortle looked up at him curiously, blinking in a rather innocent way. Sahib blinked back, staring down at the Pokémon. It was like one of those comical moments you'd see in a manga or anime really. Both staring at each other. One looking innocent, the other looked rather annoyed or murderous with a slightly bleeding leg. Totally the norm. "Can you let go, please?" Sahib grit through his teeth, slightly in pain. The Wartortle let go, plopping back down on the floor and staring up in a still innocent way. Sahib's eye twitched.

"Tortle!" the Wartortle cried happily.

Sahib hung his head. "You're difficult."

"War!"

"Eh?" Sahib looked at the slightly depressed looking Wartortle. "Something wrong?" he questioned, crouching down.

The Wartortle pointed to Sahib's backpack. It was lying next to his shoes. He followed the Wartortle's finger, eyeing his Pokeballs. It appeared as though that's where the Pokémon was pointing. Sahib's lips twitched into a slight grin. He walked over to them and picked up Furret's Pokeball. The Wartortle's head fell to the side. Sahib frowned, figuring that Furret might be a bit tired. He then had an idea. With a grin, he grabbed Quilava's Pokeball instead. He had forgotten. Sahib had wanted to try out Quilava's thunder punch for ages now! I can't believe I forgot, Sahib thought. He slipped into his shoes and socks quickly. If you want a battle, Wartortle, Sahib declared silently to himself, eyeing the Pokémon, then you'll definitely get one!

He tossed Quilava's Pokeball. In a flash of light, the weasel-like Pokémon appeared. The flames on its back and the top of its head lit up brightly. Quilava's fur shone bright red as well. It almost sparkled in the sunlight. The Wartortle smirked slightly, taking up a battle stance.

"Alright Quilava, let's try to stay far away for now," Sahib declared. "Use ember repeatedly!" he called.

Quilava shot a steam of fire out of its mouth. The Wartortle smirked, withdrew into its shell, and stayed like that as the flames engulfed it. Suddenly it sprang out, sending a burst of water directly towards Quilava. Quilava lurched aside, narrowly missing the stream of water. Then it unleashed another bout of flames. The Wartortle leapt up, slipped into its shell, and spun around in a rapid spin. Sahib watched the flames practically rebound off of the wild Pokémon for a minute. Since his first strategy wasn't working, Sahib decided to go for a new one.

"Quilava hit it with flame wheel. Then follow up with a quick attack!" Sahib called to his Pokémon. Quilava nodded quickly and soon cut off the stream of fire.

A coat of fire then surrounded Quilava. It shone even brighter under the bath of flames. The Wartortle slowly came to a stop, but before it could, Quilava launched his attack. He slammed against the freshly-out-of-its-shell Wartortle. The Wartortle cried out and fell backwards, tumbling down along the shore. Quilava then slammed against it once more in a quick attack. This propelled Wartortle further, and it ended up landing in the lake. Sahib blinked, a slight frown appearing on his face. Quilava panted lightly, and leapt backwards towards Sahib. They both waited. Soon, Sahib was almost sure the Wartortle was coming back. He heaved a slight sigh, and went towards his backpack. Moments later, the Wartortle sprang up from the water and unleashed a water gun. This one hit Quilava dead on.

"Ah, you little cheater!" Sahib accused.

"Tortle!" the Wartortle exclaimed, giving him a thumbs up move.

Quilava shook his fur, an annoyed expression on his face. He glared at Wartortle, and then unleashed a stream of fire that was ember. Wartortle shot another water gun out, and it completely negated the attack. Quilava clenched his teeth and took a small step backwards.

"Quilava, show him what you're made of. Use quick attack to get close, and then give it a thunder punch!" Sahib called, pointing at the smug looking Wartortle.

Quilava nodded once. It then charged, moving rather quickly, towards Wartortle. Wartortle withdrew into its shell. When the quick attack hit, it barely did any damage. Wartortle popped back out, expecting Quilava to be back over by Sahib. Quilava smirked, slamming its small fist into Wartortle's face. There was a crackle of electricity, and Wartortle tumbled over on its back, hobbling back and forth on its shell. Quilava backed off. Sahib got a Pokeball ready, but stopped. Wartortle was slowly getting up, ready to continue on with the battle. A tiny grin appeared on Sahib's face, one with heart, huh? He decided that he wanted this Pokémon more than ever.

"Quilava, let's try that once more!"

Just as Quilava charged, Wartortle unleashed a small bubble attack. Quilava was able to charge right through it. When it got close enough, Wartortle smirked. It curled into its shell and began a rapid spin. Quilava cried out as it got knocked backwards and away from the spinning Wartortle. Then the Wartortle unleashed a stream of water. Quilava smacked into some bushes a ways away, looking fairly tuckered out. Sahib waited. Quilava soon pushed up from the bushes, flames igniting on its head and back once more. Wartortle blinked, looking rather surprised that Quilava was still getting up.

"Good job, Quilava," Sahib said. "Now…let's finish it for real this time! Use your speed and give it a thunder punch!" Sahib ordered.

Quilava leapt fully out of the bushes and ran at Wartortle. The Wartortle's arm came up in front of its face. As Quilava ran, his paw slowly filled with electricity. It charged up and created a small creater in the ground. Finally, Quilava leaped. In a half hearted attempt, the Wartortle tried to withdraw. Quilava slammed its fist into Wartortle's slightly softer underbelly. The Pokémon cried out, popping out of its shell at once. All of a sudden, it was over. Wartortle fell to the ground, looking rather fried. Quilava ran back towards Sahib. Sahib let out a breath and tossed one of his Pokeballs. It engulfed the turtle in a flash of brilliant red light. Slowly, it began to shake back and forth…

"Did you hear?"

"Yeah, Bugsy, too."

"How are we going to get our badges at this rate?"

"You think someone is doing this on purpose?"

"It's only been about two weeks since we started! This is ridiculous!"

"Maybe we should just give up."

"Two strikes against leaders in less than a week."

"The Elite Four should do something about it!"

"Those stuck up snobs?! No way! We can handle things on our own well enough, thank you very much!"

Damion was quiet, listening to the chatter among the many trainers that dotted Route 33. Word had spread faster than the great Falkner was dead, and from the rumors, Bugsy had also been murdered.

His voice, his walk, his eyes and his demeanor, everything about him was strange as it was different. A piece of his very soul...gone...
His thoughts drifted off towards the whole incident at IllexForest, what ever happened to Bugsy? Just as these thoughts drifted in his head, he was given an answer. The boy growled slightly and continued walking, hands shoved in his pockets.

Gender: Male

Status: ELIMINATED

The road was a dusty trail dotted with nice pastures of grass and trees, the boy walked down the road towards Goldenrod, a hollow shell of his former self. Damion spotted a nice pond, reflecting the gleaming sunlight. The boy quickly made his way towards the pond and sat underneath a large tree placed near it, he brought up all three of his pokeballs in front of his face.

The faces of evil staring back at him, Hoot glared at his trainer with his new crimson eyes. Sprink did the same but with an evil smirk all the while. Taro, who's pokeball was in the middle, simply glanced back and forth at the two pokemon. The pokemon was frightened, what had happened to his friends.

The boy sighed as he looked at the pond, he smirked to himself at the sight of Goldeen and Krabby merrily chasing each other in the pond. The pokemon caught a glimpse of Damion and immediately plunged into the pond's depths, the boy was shocked. All of the Goldeen and Krabby did the same, running.

"Th-This darkness, it just makes me lonelier. Everyone I make friends with, Falkner...Bugsy, dead." Damion sighed and looked into the sky, the sound of splashes in the pond called for his attention. He turned his head to see rough, glaring pokemon swimming about the pond. Carvanha and Corpfish freely roamed the pond, a Buizel surfacing now and again with an evil gaze.

"These pokemon, they feel different...just like me..." The boy smirked, it seems he attracted darker pokemon. Unlike Krabby and Goldeen, these pokemon didn't run at the sight of Damion. A single Carvanha growled with a gruff voice and leaped out from the pond, its fin allowing it to keep balance on land. Damion smirked and stood up, releasing his three pokemon. Hoot floated there with a menacing gaze, Sprink doing likewise on the ground, sparks flying from her fur and small horns. Taro clung onto Damion shoulder and simply stared at his once friends.

"Hoot, Take Down."

The Noctowl quickly flung himself into battle and launched his body onto the Carvanha's body, both pokemon skidded across the floor. Hoot quickly flapped his wings to allow himself to rise up into the air, Carvanha panted.

"Hmph. Rough Skin does little damage, simpleton. Peck!" Hoot quickly regained his stature and flung himself towards Carvanha, beak first.

The Carvanha quickly flung his mouth open and bit into Hoot's skin, his red jaws biting deeper and deeper with every second that passed. Damion scowled,

"Take Down!" The boy pointed at the bird, Hoot quickly flapped his wings and flung both of them into the sky.

What goes up, must come down.

Hoot and Carvanha's bodies were plummeting down to the earth, a cloud of dust quickly formed. Hoot and Carvanha stood there, glaring at each other. Scratches and bruises apparent on both pokemon, Carvanha grinned as he opened his gaping jaw. Rigid patches of ice forming around his teeth, Carvanha lunged forward.

"Sprink." Damion quickly exchanged his pokemon, Sprink now stood on the battle field to absorb the blow. Carvahan's icy jaws were plunged into Sprink's arm,

"Thundershock." Damion ordered plainly. A jolt of electricity quickly was released and spread towards Carvanha. The water type was blown backwards and skidded across the dirt floor,

"Cotton Spore." Sprink quickly aimed her body at Carvanha and released a spray of spores that stuck onto Carvanha, the water type's scales acting like glue.

"Now. Taro!" But the small Larvitar did not jump into battle, but still clung onto Damion's shoulder. The boy grabbed the Larvitar and looked him in the eyes as he tried to talk to Damion,

Trying to salvage something that was beyond saving.

"Taro, just go and battle. Please." Damion pleaded, Taro sighed and leaped onto the battle field. The small rock type growled,

"Rock Slide!" Damion pointed at the slow Carvanha, a boulder was quickly sprung up and launched at the water type's body. Carvanha was now pinned up against the wall, but the pokemon quickly escaped and launched his body at Taro.

"Rage, eh? Thrash!" Damion grinned, Taro body glowed a dim red and launched his own body at Carvanha. The two pokemon clashed at the center of the battle field, a short burst of energy was sent out as they collided. Taro continued to send wave after wave of punches at the Carvanha, who in turn was digging his teeth and slapping Taro with his fin.

Both pokemon were savagely fighting each other, Damion grinned. He loved violence, just then Taro's body began to glow. The rock type grew in size, and altered in shape. In the Larvitar's place, stood a menacing silver cocoon. It had dark piercing eyes with no life, a grunt voice yelling out.

"PUPI!!!PUPITAR!!"

"Heh. Dark Pulse."

Damion ordered plainly, the newly evolved Pupitar quickly shoved Carvanha's body off and released a short burst of dark violet energy. The attack sent Carvahna flying and plummeted down behind the far off trees, Damion grinned as all three of his pokemon stood before him. They glared back at Damion, each of them had crimson blood eyes.

His pokemon had taken form to match the boy's own persona, the boy smirked and quickly recalled all of his pokemon.

The boy shoved his hands into his pocket as he continued to walk down the road, Damion scratched his head and flipped open his PokeGear.

"Where the hell am I?" The boy twisted and turned to try and find a proper road to Goldenrod, the boy grinned when he saw a sign.

ENTRANCE TO INFANTVILLAGE

Damion sweatdropped, what an unusual name. The boy sighed and walked down the road that led him into a beautiful village...

Kaitlyn sighed as she stared up at the clouds, she and her Pokémon were sprawled out on the bank of the nearby pond that was along Route 33 to Goldenrod City. It had only been but an hour ago when she and her Pokémon were teleported out of Ilex forest by that strange presence. Sho, Snoopy and Stitch weren't exhausted, but mentally she was becoming tired, all these uneasy thoughts swirled in her head and she decided they all just needed a tiny break before going back.

She thought back to when the man smirked, just what had he accomplished and what was he planning and why did he want her to join him so badly, there had to be some reason and what about the others she wondered, did they have to make the same choice she did? And Bugsy. . . she had a feeling something happened to him and it wasn't good and just what bought her here. . . there were too many pieces missing in this puzzle and she only had little to begin with.

Kaitlyn released another sigh as she glanced at her Pokémon, Snoopy was lying in the grass, in a nice shaded area, he was napping, with Stitch curled up into his side sleeping as well. Sho was the only one up, he was wading in the cool pond water, watching as the water Pokémon that inhabited it peeked their heads out curiously to glance at the odd colored creature, at least they were relaxing.

She on the other hand was practically killing her brain trying to figure out what that guy was planning, not to mention the Professor, he was hiding something too. Kaitlyn scowled and picked up a nearby pebble, tossing it straight ahead, only freezing when she heard a loud stream of curses soon follow after "Dammit! I lost it again!" Kaitlyn blinked when she heard someone curse up another storm and glanced up ahead when she saw a blue haired boy appear in her line of vision, he was wearing some khaki shorts that stopped at his knees and a plain white shirt, he goggles on his head and a fishing rod slung across his shoulder, by his side was a Croconaw, who was snickering at his trainer's predicament.

The boy glanced at Kaitlyn, who blinked stupidly, and glared "You" he hissed, his sapphire blue eyes blazing "You made me lose it!" Kaitlyn was a bit taken back by his anger and his attitude, so she stood up and growled back "Hey, don't get pissy with me mister, just because you can't fish!" the boy sighed and back off "I apologize, but I've been trying to catch this elusive Wartortle all day"

"Wartortle? But, you have a water starter right there" she pointed to Croconaw, who was grinning and he snorted "I'm not really a big fan of Croconaw's and the only reason why its even with me is because he refuses to leave my side" his cheeks grew red "plus it's the only Pokémon I have, which is why I wanted to catch that damn Wartortle and release this Croconaw" the scowl appeared on his face again "And I almost had it too, but when that rock hit me on the head it got away"

Kaitlyn was now the one blushing in embarrassment "Oh, sorry. . . well umm maybe I could help you, since it was my fault" his eyes lit up like stars and he grabbed her hands "Really!?" Kaitlyn nodded before pulling her hands out of his grasp "Y-yeah, sure, let me go get Sho" she murmured turning around to glance at where her Pikachu was wading in the water, obliviously unaware of the Wartortle that was swimming at high speeds towards him "Hey! That's the Wartortle… I think its about to do something to your Pikachu though" they and Croconaw watched as the Wartortle smirked and swam under the relaxed Sho, using a powerful Water Gun to send the mouse flying into the air and plummeting into the ground, Sho quickly shot up and shook his fur, body sparking as he glared at the snickering Wartortle "Pikachu!"

"Toooooor! Tor. Tor. Tortle."

"Hey Sho! You alright?" Kaitlyn ran over to her scowling Pikachu "Don't worry buddy, you'll be able to get your revenge, cause we're gonna catch it" Sho blinked confusedly at Kaitlyn before he glanced at the Croconaw and blue haired boy behind her "Pikachu?" she pointed to the boy "Ummm" "Alex" she nodded "Right, Alex over here wants us to catch him that Wartortle, plus I kinda ruined his chance, so I'm doing him a favor" she gave a sheepish grin and Sho nodded slowly "Piiika"

"Now lets go find that turtle and beat him like he stole something!"

Alex sweated a little and watched as the two marched over to the pond, with Kaitlyn pointing at the snickering turtle "Sweet Kiss!!" Sho nodded and kissed his hands, allowing several large pink hearts to fly, right at Wartortle, who puffed up its chest and countered with a beautifully executed Bubble attack, the bubbles would collide with the hearts and both would pop in a shower of sparkles "Wow. . . flashy little thing isn't it"

"Tortle"

Wartortle smirked before it shot a jet of water at Sho, who dodged it and used Thunder Shock, but the Wartortle was expecting this and dived into the water, just as the electricity streamed over his head "Pika?" Sho blinked curiously as he cautiously stepped towards the pond, the area where Wartortle had submerged himself was bubbling, the turtle had yet to reappear on the surface "P-Pikachu!" Sho gasped when Wartortle's shell came slamming into his face, the turtle had used Rapid Spin and propelled itself out of the water and onto the land, it landed gracefully on its feet as its tail gleamed nicely in the sun from the light drops of water that clung to the fur "Tortle!" Wartortle struck a pose and winked at Sho, who was clutching his nose "Bigachu! Biga! Biga!" he glared at the turtle and Alex was standing on the sidelines watching the battle with awe "That was so amazing! Such a perfectly executed attack and nicely timed, it would do wonderful in contests!"

"Wartortle" he looked at Alex and grinned, before leaping back into battle. Wartortle withdrew into its shell, probably going to use Water Gun or Bubble Kaitlyn mused "Oh no you don't! Sho, before it attacks, use Slam!" Sho nodded and ran at the Wartortle, who had ducked into his shell, Sho whirled around and slammed his tail down, sending the shell skipping like a stone across the ground and harshly into a nearby tree.

"Torrrrtle" it groaned as it slid down the tree, slowly picking itself up and glaring at Sho "Warrrrrrrr" it puffed up its chest again and Sho struck, Kaitlyn commanded it to use Thunder Shock, just as Wartortle used Water Gun, the elements collided with a loud bang and they exploded upon contact, the force from both moves sent both Pokémon flying back "Tortlllle" she heard the turtle groan once the smoke around it cleared, Wartortle was on its back, knocked out and Sho was looking a bit worse for ware, panting but standing "Great job Sho!" he nodded before collapsing in a heap on the ground where he stood.

Kaitlyn glanced at Alex, who was looking at the knocked out Wartortle, waiting for her to catch it, her gaze landed on the Croconaw, who would soon become wild "Hey Alex!" the blue haired boy turned his gaze to Kaitlyn, wondering why she wasn't throwing the ball "Yes?"

"If I catch this Wartortle for you" she looked at the ball in her hands "How about you give me Croconaw for it?"The Big Jaw Pokémon looked at her with wide eyes "Croco?" Kaitlyn nodded "Yeah, that's what we'll do, make it a trade, this water type for that one. . . deal?" Alex shrugged carelessly "Sure, I was just gonna release it anyway"

"Alright!" with that said Kaitlyn tossed the Pokéball at the twitching Wartortle, watching as the ball engulfed it in a beam of red light and it began to shake. . .

For a few seconds Liliana felt as if she was floating, she felt her feet leave the ground and she pressed her eyes shut in fear of what she would see. The whole floating into nothingness wasn't something she enjoyed. But then she felt her feat gently touch the ground again and she opened her eyes to something so ridiculous that she just stared at it. Buildings seemed to cure toward the ground. Trees were completely diagonal and some were growing off the ceiling. The ceiling itself looked like earth. There was no real floor either, just floating islands and rocks into nothingness.

Lili crept to the side of her island to look at what was under her. What she saw was more nothingness and it made her a bit dizzy. Where was she? As if the stranger read her mind her said. "You're in the Reverse World, our home base."

Reverse World? What the hell?! Her expression must have showed her confusion because he continued explaining. "It's Giratina's world. That and the home of these creatures all around you, Unown." He motioned to the floating shapes with large eyes. One of them was looking at her curiously with its one eye, it was shaped into a question mark.

"The Unown allow me to travel where I want to. As you can see everything is different here. Time is the same, a week here could be only ten minutes in the real world." Suddenly he walked over the ledge. Liliana ran to the edge to see what had happened, secretly hoping he had plummeted to an unfortunate death. Of course, that was too much to hope for. His voice, which was started to irritate her, came up from behind her. He was walking up from the other side, as if he had been walking on the bottom of the floating piece of earth.

"Things work differently here, as you can see. Physics and the laws of nature are absent unless you want them to. I have been given control of this peculiar place while its master is away. Here, I am God." The way he said it made her skin crawl. He liked being God a bit too much. He snickered at the expression and for a few seconds he seemed mad, almost psychotically so…

"I have arranged for you to do some sparring with an old friend so I can see what I have truly invested in before sending you out on your first mission. I am sure you will remember them!" He laughed full out this time. She shuddered at the sound and the look on his face that most surely said that he was at least partly crazy. He waved his hand to the shadows and from there came a man in a white cloak.

His hood had been pulled back to reveal a face with big brown eyes and longish brown hair. She remembered him to be the one from the cave. The one with the Steelix. As if on cue with her thoughts he let out two Pokémon. A Drifblim and the infamous Steelix. The man looked at her with pity, as if he had hoped for her not to do this. She began with Djali and Abu. Somewhere within she was angry at this man. If he looked at her with such pity, why had he attacked her in the first place?! He was just another one of those hypocrites. She decided that she was going to do all she could to beat him this time.

The sight of the Drifblim made her freeze for a second, but she realized that she couldn't let her fear of ghosts get in the way of this victory. She had a feeling that she had to win this or the man in black would not be pleased. She glanced over at him and he seemed to be quite amused by her reaction to the ghost. This made her angrier. She would win this battle, if only so she could show that man exactly who he was dealing with.

"Djali start with a spark at the Drifblim! Abu I want you to use astonish right after Djali's attack!" The other man didn't say anything yet, he was waiting for something. On the other side of the platform the black cloaked man made himself comfortable on what seemed to be a large chair of dirt. It looked suspiciously like a throne but she didn't voice this thought. Instead she focused on the battle.

Abu had stationed himself behind the Drifblim and Djali was about to shoot a spark when the voice of her opponent echoed through the air. "Drifblim, use gust." His voice was calm and perhaps a bit gentle, but what the Drifblim did next was none of these things. The man had waited for her Pokémon to be close so Drifblim could attack them. A tornado whipped up around it throwing both of her Pokémon back. She gasped as it would seem that they would be thrown down into the abyss, but both of them seemed to hit an invisible wall at the end of the island. She shot a glance at the 'God' of this world and he grinned at her maliciously. Great.

"Drifblim I want you to use Ominous Winde, Steelix light it up with dragon breath." Both the Pokémon seemed to be used to this move for they knew exactly what to do. Drifblim started to spin and created a gust of wind blowing in the direction of Djali, Abu was on the other side and safe for now. The wind was a slight purplish in colour. Then Steelix opened its huge mouth and spat fire at the wind, the purple seemed to catch the blue fire and suddenly the entire thing was a fiery blast that was shooting toward Djali at great speed.

"Djali, dodge it! Abu use pay back at Drifblim to stop the wind!" She watched anxiously as the flaming wind swept directly toward Djali, she looked so little in comparison with the huge gust. But she ran to the corner of the floating island, the only place where the fire couldn't reach her. The flames slammed against the invisible walls and disappeared. In the mean time Abu jumped up and put the anger of the last hit into his hit. His tail glowed and angry purple as he hit the Drifblim, stopping the flow of wind. The last bit of the flaming move disappeared against the wall.

The Drifblim didn't seem all to affected by the hit, however, and patiently waited for the next move. We have to take the Drifblim out first, it will be the easiest. Then concentrate on Steelix, Liliana thought. At the same time her opponent came with new orders for his Pokémon. "Drifblim attack the Aipom with a Shadow Ball. Steelix use slam on the Shinx."

"Abu, I want you to use pay back and sent the attack back at Drifblim. Djali, dodge and use Charge!" Two things happened at the same time now. At one corner of the battlefield was the Drifblim creating a big ball of shadows. The ball was pitch black with a little bit of dark violet on the edges. The ball flew dangerously fast into Abu's direction. Liliana hoped that her plan would work. Abu's tail started to glow again, but weaker than it had when it had just been hit. He made a quick 180 turn and used the forced to slam the end of his tail into the ball. The ball fired right back at the Drifblim, who took it rather badly. Abu, however, also seemed to be in pain from the hit. That pay back had not left his tail unscorched like Lili had hoped for.

On the other end of the field Steelix brought his tail down in a dangerous slam attack. Djali tried to jump away but Steelix was too fast and caught her mid air with its tail. It slammed the Djali against the invisible boundary and Djali's face contorted with pain. At the same time the Drifloon had just been hit by its own attack and slammed into the floor nearby. Djali used all of her energy to stand up after this bad hit. She got to her feet unsteadily and started to generate sparks. As she did so her body turned white and her form started to expand.

Liliana gasped as the glow faded away and there now stood a Luxio, generating energy. Djali's blue head had started to sprout a black mane. Also the yellow bands that shinx used to store her electricity in were now two on each front paw. This could be why there was twice as much sparks flying from Djali's body as she charged up as much as she could.

A chuckle echoed from the room as the black cloaked man laughed. Lili had no idea what was so funny, but he seemed to. She turned her attention back to the match. Djali, even though she was now stronger, was still very tired, her chest rising rapidly with every breath. She wasn't going to last long.

"Djali quickly use a full-force spark on Drifloon! Abu I want you to have her back here, okay, don't let Steelix hit her, if he comes close attack him with fire punch."

At the same time. "Drifloon, get up and use a shadow ball again at the Luxio. Steelix hit the Aipom with Slam."As soon as Drifloon tried to get up it was hit with a very powerful current coming from Djali. She really took Liliana's request of full-force literally. The attack seemed to drain her of all her electricity but all of it was now painfully running through Drifloon. The Pokémon fell back to the ground when the current was released and unsteadily came back up again. Did that thing never die?! It then glared down at Djali and hit her with a shadow ball, hard. Djali flew through the air and hit the wall again. Miraculously she got up on her feet, but she her legs seem to shaky a bit from her weight. It really was a wonder she still stood standing.

Steelix swung his heavy tail at Abu at the same time that Djali had engaged with Drifblim. Abu's tail ignited in angry flames as he jumped up to meet the Slam attack. Both of their tails met in mid air and time seemed to slow down for Liliana. She watched as the tails made contact and bit her lip hoping that Abu's thin tail was strong enough to take on Steelix' iron one. But the iron in his tail was just what worked in Abu's favor. At the moment they touched smoke seemed to come from between them and a shudder went through both of them from the impact. The iron giant closed his eyes in pain as he dropped his tail. Abu landed on the ground, panting.

"Drifblim, use ominous wind to blow Luxio and Aipom as far away as you can. Steelix I want you to bury them with a rock tomb as soon as you can get them away from you and Drifblim." Liliana glanced over to her opponent and he gave her an apologetic smile. She didn't do anything, just stared at him with a blank face. He wasn't the one she was mad at, even though he seemed to think he was.

"Djali don't let the Drifblim spin! Hold him still with a bite. Abu, once the Drifblim is still I want you to hit him as hard as you can with a fire punch!" As a response Djali half-tackled Driflblim before it could start spinning around itself. She grabbed one of her appendages and used her body to secure another one. The Drifblim couldn't do anything but try to start spinning to get Djali off. But it was as if she had an iron mouth, she wasn't going to let it go.

Abu immediately jumped in with the hand on his tail on fire. He hit the Drifblim as hard as he could. The impact sent the ghost flying from Djali's mouth, but her iron grip resulted in her being flung away also. The Steelix took his chance and slammed his tail on the ground as hard as he could. The impact at first didn't do anything, but then tremors started and the island that was drifting above them came apart right on top of Djali. The guy had been right that the laws of nature were kind of messed up here. If Djali hadn't been downed by the crash, she was now.

"Come back, you did great." Lili raised the Ball in toward the rocks and some of them collapsed as Djali retreated inside her ball. Liliana sighed as she released Misdreavous. She had to save Nala for last, to keep the advantage over Steelix when, hopefully, Drifblim would have been history. The Misdreavous chirped happily on being released, but as soon as he took sight of his surroundings he seemed taken aback a little. He glanced distrusting toward the man in black. When he caught sight of Drifblim he appeared to be quite intimidated by the much stronger ghost.

"Abu, Misdreavous… I want you both to do a double astonish attack at Drifblim!" Before the other trainer could think about what exactly they were doing, Abu sped to one side of Drifblim and Misdreavous appeared at the other. Abu hit the opponent with a screech and Misdreavous simply shot a red beam from his eyes. They both collided at the same time and the Drifblim was left looking around wide eyed, quite startled by the sudden attack.

"Okay follow it up with a fire punch and a psywave!" Abu hit the ghostly balloon again this time with a tail in flames. Misdreavous sent out bright red waves of psychic energy that hit the Drifloon at the same time. This seemed to be the final hit for the powerful Drifloon. It floated to the ground, obviously unable to go on longer. "Come back Drifloon, good job. Well what do you know? You've gotten better since the last time." He said this not in a hostile or taunting way but simply in acknowledgement that she had, indeed, gotten better.

"Steelix use iron tail on the Misdreavous." As if the Steelix had been ready for this all along it swung his tail, which now glowed a silvery white, and hit Misdreavous with such ease it was as if it were swatting a fly out of the sky. Misdreavous ended up sandwiched between the tail and the invisible wall and fainted instantly. There was only so much a Pokémon could take from a fully evolved iron giant that was almost twice as strong as he was.

Another chuckle from behind Liliana where mister black-cloaked God was sitting. Lili had to make herself not turn around and glare at him as she called back Misdreavous and released her last Pokémon. Misdreavous had done all she had wanted him to do, take down the Drifblim so that Abu and Nala could take care of Steelix together. The only hit it had had up till now was Abu's fire punch. It had done damage, but not so much that it would show. This was far from over.

When Nala was released she also eyes her surroundings with a question in her eyes, but she wasn't intimidated by her opponent like Misdreavous was. No she remembered the Steelix very well, remembered how he had mercilessly defeated her and there was a fire in her eyes that said that she wasn't going to lose a second time.

"Steelix I want you to focus on the Aipom, we will take down the Bayleef later. Use dragon breath."

"Abu, don't get hit by the fire! Nala use magical leaf." Abu jumped away from the blue fire that was being spewed at him. At the same time Nala sent out magical leaves. When hit by the light these leaves seemed to reflect the colours of the rainbow. That and the fact that they always found their target was what made them magic. The leaves curved toward the Steelix, who wasn't very hard to hit in the first place, and hit it straight on the face. The Steelix grunted in pain as the grass attack hit him.

"Steelix hit the Aipom with a iron tail!" The man's voice was now a bit more uncertain. Instead of being calm he now yelled at his Pokémon. The Steelix whipped around, angered by the sound of desperation in his master's voice, and hit Abu. He crashed into the ground painfully, but he got up. He was panting heavier now and Liliana knew that she had to end this sooner than later.

"Okay, Nala and Abu, I want you two to cooperate. Abu, I want you to use fire punch, but instead of hitting the Steelix I want you to light the leaves Nala will send you on fire. Got that?" Abu nodded and flames surrounded the end of his tail. Nala sent out a dozen or so leaves and Abu jumped up to touched some of them with his flaming tail, some he simply couldn't reach. The Steelix cried out in pain as the mixture of grass and fire attack hit him.

"Steelix! Come on, attack the Bayleef with dragon breath!" Yes the trainer's voice was definitely unsteady now. Liliana tried hard to block out the amused sounds from behind her and focused on the battle. Too bad that the man watching from behind her had distracted her for long enough. The Steelix shook his massive head and faced Nala. He opened the stone jaw to reveal the uneven teeth behind it and spewed blue flames toward Nala. She didn't have time to react before the blue flames were all around her. Once they disappeared they revealed a heavily panting Nala. This had to be the last move.

"Abu attack one half of his face with the most powerful fire punch you have performed so far, Nala attack the other side with as much leaves as you can create. Take him down!" this had better work. If not they were screwed.

"Steelix hold them away from you with a rock tomb!" Steelix lifted his massive tail and let it come down with a great shake. At the same time Abu jumped up high to his level, using his tail to launch himself in a similar fashion as he had done in Bugsy's gym. Nala created as much leaves as she culd, there were at least two dozen of them and they all landed on the face. At that same moment the floating piece of earth above them collapsed and all three of the Pokémon were buried in stone.

Everything was silent, they were all waiting to see who had come out of this alive. Liliana was about to call back her Pokémon when all the boulders defied gravity and floated away in their own separate orbit. It revealed two Pokémon that were completely knocked out and one that was panting heavily. Nala's big eyes were looking up at Lili with pride in them as she stood up shakily.

"You did well, Nala, and you too little one," Liliana said with a smile. They had made her proud. She called both of them back and turned toward the man in the black cloak. He was clapping half-heartedly with a smile on his face. "Fantastic, young lady. You have improved drastically!" His mouth opened to say something when her phone rang. She checked the number. Unknown. So she picked up.

"H-hello?" She asked shakily.

"This is Grecko, I'm glad to hear you are okay. We need you to join us in the Pokémon Center in Goldenrod. You are going to have to come here on your own, I am sorry, we sent out all of the rangers." Before she could reply he hung up the phone. The man in black was now smiling as broad as he was probably capable of. Not that Liliana was going to question what he was capable of at all.

He clasped his hands delightedly. "Perfect timing!" With a snap of his fingers she was surrounded by the unown, including the little questionmark that had eyed her so curiously. The started circling her. She felt her feet leave the ground once more and a second later they came on soft ground. She opened her eyes to see the unown disappear and herself on a grassy route. A sign nearby said she was on Route 33. Toward Goldenrod.

She started walking, wondering what on earth was waiting for her in the Center. She started worrying about what if they knew what she'd done. What if they could tell. Who else had done what she had? Sahib? She knew the answer to that. He would surely not have chosen that. But there was only one way to find out. To go to the Center in Goldenrod.

Finally it came to a stop. Sahib smiled slowly, and walked towards the Pokeball. He then picked it up. Quilava sniffed it curiously, and then looked up at Sahib happily. Sahib moved over to his backpack. He slipped it over his shoulder, and then set Wartortle on a spot just underneath Growlithe. Sahib paused and stared at Growlithe and Flaffy's Pokeballs. I don't want to do this…he thought, but for a balanced team…Sahib cut his thoughts short, and then turned towards Quilava. Quilava had his head cocked to the side, eyeing Sahib curiously.

"Well, I suppose we should continue," Sahib murmured to his Pokémon. He recalled Quilava. The Pokémon was gone in a flash of red light. Sahib let out a soft sigh and turned back towards the north. Hopefully we'll reach Goldenrod soon. A Pokémon Center sounds really nice about now, Sahib thought vaguely as he continued on his way. Many more Pokémon caught his eye, but Sahib basically ignored them and continued along the route.

Soon he came upon two kids. One looked to be slightly younger than the other. Sahib watched while they battled. It was a Totodile against a Ivysaur. Sahib stared at the two as they battled. The Ivysaur, obviously belonging to the older kid, was winning against the Totodile. Before Sahib could fully appreciate Totodile's power, the Pokémon was down because of a vine whip attack. Sahib was about to continue on, when the younger kid pointed him out. He paused, and glanced over at the pair. The elder walked up to him, glancing up to get a good look at his face. The kid's Ivysaur tottered along behind him. The little kid recalled his Totodile and ran up behind his elder brother.

"Yo," Sahib said.

The elder nodded his head. "So are you a trainer?" he asked, eyeing the Pokeballs on Sahib's backpack strap.

"Yup," Sahib replied.

The boy smirked, grabbing a Pokeball off of his belt. "Looks to me like you have about six there, right? Well, how about a battle!" His Ivysaur was suddenly looking completely raring to go. "Four on four, if you can handle it?" the boy offered, eyebrow arching.

"Single or double?" Sahib questioned, a tiny smirk on the corner of his lips. For some reason, he just couldn't turn down a good battle. He grabbed Furret's Pokeball without really thinking much about it.

"Single," the boy declared. "Oh, hang on a minute," he mumbled. He crouched down next to his Ivysaur and sprayed a potion on it. Sahib frowned, remembering the condition of his own Pokémon. Then he shook it off and waited. "Alright! I'm all set to go!" he said, running back a ways. His little brother moved off underneath a tree and plopped down, intent on watching the battle. "Let me show you how it's done! Let's go, Ivysaur!" the boy called confidently.

"Saur!" the Ivysaur roared, running to what was to be the center of the field.

"Nah, we'll show you," Sahib stressed. He tossed Furret's Pokeball. In a flash of bright white light, Furret appeared. Its tail curled backwards as it cried its name, ready for battle as well. "Furret, kick things off with quick attack!" Sahib called.

Furret charged towards Ivysaur. Sahib knew Ivysaur was slow, so he figured this really wouldn't be too difficult if he just kept using quick attack. The boy smirked, and suddenly vines were surrounding Ivysaur in a thick, protective cocoon. Furret slammed its head against the shield, and tumbled backwards. He rubbed his head tenderly and glared at the cocoon. It slammed against the vines, but to no avail. Sahib's teeth set as he eyed the situation, wondering how the heck he was supposed to work this out. Then, he decided to go for a fury swipes approach. Furret hacked away at the vines, and then suddenly they burst out in a rush. Furret slammed into the ground, wincing as it struggled to get up.

Crap, Sahib thought, Furret is really hurt. He opened his mouth for another order, but before he could give it the Ivysaur unleashed its vines and slammed them down on Furret once more. "Furret, get up and quick attack!" Sahib called.

Furret slowly inched upwards. It zoomed towards the Ivysaur, who protected its front with the vines. Furret smirked devilishly as it zoomed back around, slamming into Ivysaur's backside and knocking the Pokémon into its own vines. Furret then hopped away before the vines could swing back around and take it down with Ivysaur. Ivysaur got back up, looking barely phased. Sahib licked his suddenly parched lips. It really didn't appear as though it was going well for him.

"Ivysaur, that Furret looks hurt enough, let's make this quick! Use take down!" the boy called, pointing to Sahib's panting Furret.

"SAAAUUR!" Ivysaur roared, charging towards Furret with as much speed and strength as it could muster. Furret leapt out of the way, but then Ivysaur whipped around with surprising sturdiness, and slammed into Furret's other side. Furret cried out, hitting the ground with a heavy thud. Sahib blinked, unable to believe that Furret was losing—and this badly.

"Furret, just…get up," Sahib muttered urgently. Furret slowly pushed up, one eye closed as it desperately tried to appease Sahib. "Let's give it our all for this. Quick attack!" Sahib called.

"You give it your all, too, Ivysaur!" the boy called. "Use another take down!"

The two Pokémon's ears twitched. Furret charged towards Ivysaur with as much strength as it could muster, not really worrying about speed. Ivysaur roared again and charged towards Furret. They collided, slamming their skulls into each other. There was a loud thudding sound. Dust flew up between the Pokémon from the impact of their attacks and feet on the ground. Sahib watched and waited as the dust slowly began to float away. Furret was splayed across the ground. Ivysaur stood a few feet away, panting lightly but perfectly fine to continue. The boy smirked, praising his Ivysaur. Sahib frowned and recalled Furret. He glanced at the boy, and saw that the smirk was still plastered on his face. I'll wipe it off no problem, Sahib decided, grabbing Aerodactyl's Pokeball.

"Let's go, Aerodactyl!" Sahib called, tossing it.

Aerodactyl screeched as it appeared, flapping his great wings. Sahib watched as it soared upwards. A tiny grin appeared on his face. No wonder he didn't like that forest much either! Sahib finally understood. There wasn't enough room for him to really fly. Sahib looked back over to the guy, and saw he was staring up at Aerodactyl with an open jaw and wide eyes.

"Aerodactyl, start off with bite!" Sahib shouted skyward.

Suddenly Aerodactyl whipped around midair. It skyrocketed downwards toward Ivysaur, who was staring up at the Pokémon in almost complete awe. The boy ordered another cocoon. Ivysaur brought up the vines just as Aerodactyl hit. It slammed its powerful jaws down on a mouthful of vines and ripped and tore at them. Sahib ordered a wing attack then. Aerodactyl's wings slammed into the vines, and they were suddenly gone. Ivysaur cried out as Aerodactyl slammed his wings into the smaller Pokémon's body repeatedly. Then Aerodactyl released the vines and quick attacking. It flew away from the Ivysaur.

"Ivysaur, show that Aerodactyl what you're made of! Use vine whips to drag it back down!" the boy called.

Ivysaur unleashed more vines. They whipped about and then wrapped around Aerodactyl. Aerodactyl glanced at them from the corner of its eye. He struggled and strained against the vines in an attempt to break them. He flexed his wings, but the vines held strong. Ivysaur then swung the vines down. Aerodactyl screeched as it slammed into the ground. He winced and glared at Ivysaur. Then, without warning or order from Sahib, it grabbed onto the vines with his jaws and slammed the unsuspecting Ivysaur against a tree a few feet away. The Ivysaur cried out as it smacked against the tree, sliding to the ground. Just like that, Ivysaur was down.

"Good job," Sahib said.

"Ha! We're not done just yet!" the boy exclaimed. "Let's get going, Marill!" he called, tossing a new Pokeball moments after he recalled Ivysaur.

Marill appeared seconds later in a flash of light. Aerodactyl flapped its wings lightly, basically signaling it was ready for whatever this kid could throw at it. Sahib grinned at seeing Aerodactyl's willpower to fight. Marill eyed the Aerodactyl, but seemed rather confident in its own abilities as well.

"Marill, let's start off with bubblebeam!"

Marill nodded and shot a stream of bubbles directly for Aerodactyl. Aerodactyl flew in the air, dodging the first stream. The second stream slammed into his underbelly, knocking Aerodactyl down from the sky and sending it slamming into the ground. Aerodactyl picked itself up slowly, and roared angrily at the Marill. Marill didn't seem very phased. It unleashed another jet of bubbles towards Aerodactyl. Sahib ordered a wing attack. Aerodactyl slammed its wings against the bubbles, effectively beating them down. Marill watched angrily as its bubblebeam didn't work this time. Aerodactyl then flew suddenly towards Marill, opening its jaws wide. Electric sparks flew from its jaws. The boy ordered a dodge. Marill moved out of the way, but Aerodactyl was able to clamp down on the Pokémon's tail.

"Marill!" the boy cried out as his Pokémon let out a shriek of pain. He clenched his teeth. "Break free of Aerodactyl's grip with rollout!" he called desperately to his thrashing Pokémon.

Aerodactyl clamped down harder on Marill's tail, sending another jolt through the small blue Pokémon. Marill cried out again. It curled into a ball abruptly, and began to spin. Aerodactyl released the Pokémon, unsure of what it was doing. Suddenly Marill slammed into Aerodactyl's face, hitting the Pokémon right between his eyes. Aerodactyl screeched and shook himself. Marill rolled away, and then charged back again in another rollout. Aerodactyl shifted his wings so they blocked the attack, but it still did some heavy damage. Marill rolled back away, and then came once more. Aerodactyl screeched, and suddenly the rocks around them started to glow. Without command, Aerodactyl summoned the rocks in an ancient power attack. They built up a wall in front of Aerodactyl. Marill slammed into the wall, rotating and turning as it tried to break the wall. Marill finally broke through, but by that time Aerodactyl had taken to the skies.

"Marill, use that wall to follow it!" the boy called, pointing up to where Aerodactyl was hovering in the sky.

Marill then did just that. It rolled upwards, using the wall as a ramp. It charged towards Aerodactyl. Aerodactyl slammed its wings into the little blue body. Though it did that, the attack still didn't stop the rolling Marill. Marill slammed into Aerodactyl dead on, knocking it out of the sky. Aerodactyl slammed into the ground, giving a slight cry as it did so. Another one of Sahib's Pokémon was down for the count against this kid. Sahib frowned, but still recalled Aerodactyl without much fuss.

"Let's go, Wartortle!" Sahib called, chucking his newest Pokémon's Pokeball.

"Tortle!" Wartortle cried as it was unleashed. It looked strong and ready for battle. Wartortle pumped his blue fists, whitish ears twitching.

"Ha! A perfect match, huh?" the boy retorted. "Marill, use aqua ring and get some of your health back. Then show that baby who's boss. Use another rollout!"

"Wartortle, don't give it a chance! Use rapid spin repeatedly! Follow with water gun," Sahib ordered to his Wartortle.

Wartortle leaped into its shell and flew towards Marill at remarkable speeds, especially for a Wartortle. Marill looked very surprised—it didn't even have the chance to use aqua ring. Marill ignored the aqua ring order, and curled into a ball. The two Pokémon met in a clash of spinning forces. They were both basically repelled, but because Wartortle was spinning in a different angle it didn't get hurt quite so much as it appeared Marill did. Wartortle then unleashed a water gun from the safety of his shell.

"Marill! Watch out!" the boy cried.

Wartortle's attack slammed into the Pokémon, but really didn't do much damage. Sahib ordered another rapid spin, knowing that it would be the best choice. The attack slammed into Marill once more, but this time Marill didn't have the minimum protection that rollout provided. It flew backwards, landing in a small pond behind them. The boy grumbled and recalled Marill. The next Pokémon was a Gligar. Sahib hadn't really battled them much, so he wasn't exactly sure what to expect.

"Alright, this'll be knew," Sahib murmured to himself. "Wartortle, let's show that Gligar! Use water gun!" Sahib called.

Wartortle unleashed a jet of water in Gligar's direction. Gligar dodged quickly. Sahib quickly figured out that this particular Gligar was faster than it looked. Gligar then swooped down and, upon order from the kid, used a fury cutter attack on Wartortle. It hit Wartortle, but the attack really didn't do too much. Sahib blinked; he had been expecting more damage. He called out for Wartortle to use another water gun. Wartortle did, but this time Gligar wasn't fortunate enough to dodge the attack. Gligar then zoomed in once more, meeting the water dead on as it slashed Wartortle in another fury cutter. As the previous one, this attack didn't particularly do much damage either. Sahib's eyebrow rose as he watched, but didn't comment on the attack.

"Keep it up, Gligar!" the guy called, smirking.

"Wartortle, use rapid spin," Sahib ordered.

Gligar once more slashed Wartortle. This time, Sahib noticed something. The attack was doing more damage than it was before, and Wartortle's defense wasn't even really lowered or anything. That's when he realized—the attack got stronger as the turns continued that it hit. Wartortle, by that time, was carrying out his order. It slammed into the ground though, instead of Gligar. Gligar had somehow managed to dodge. It then swerved in its flight pattern, slamming its claws once more across Wartortle's back. Wartortle cried out, falling to the ground.

"Now use screech!" the boy called, happy to see that this battle was slowly turning towards his favor.

Suddenly, for Sahib, it almost seemed as if time were going slow. He realized what he had been doing wrong. The entire time, Sahib had been forgetting to plan. Something he valued so much at the beginning of his journey had slowly become lost. Sahib looked at the ground and thought about it. He had been forgetting to plan his moves, as well as calculate what his opponent might be capable of. So far, the battle had really been taking a turn for the worst. They were both even in terms of Pokémon, but it seemed as though Sahib always had the underhand. Time was back to normal now, as he glared at his opponent.

"I'm not going to lose this battle," Sahib stated in a rather pointed way. "Wartortle, use withdraw. Gather your defenses and then attack with rapid spin!" Sahib called to his Pokémon, feeling a bit more secure about the battle.

Wartortle withdrew into his shell. Gligar swooped in dangerously close, and then slammed against Wartortle's shell in a quick attack. Sahib bit his lower lip as he watched his newest Pokémon get hammered by the repeated attack. Please Wartortle, Sahib thought in an almost desperate way, just don't think I'll do this every battle. I'll make it up to you…I promise. Wartortle suddenly broke into a quick spin. It flew towards Gligar and this time, the attack hit. Gligar cried out as it slammed into the ground under the power of Wartortle's attack. Wartortle opened its mouth for a water gun, and then Gligar slammed upwards into a quick attack. Wartortle did unleash the water, and they both ended up propelling away from each other. Both Pokémon were unable to keep going any more. The trainers recalled their Pokémon.

A Golem was the next Pokémon in line for the boy. Sahib's next Pokémon was his Quilava. The Pokémon stood opposite from each other. Quilava looked slightly in worse condition, but Sahib knew that Quilava could somehow manage. They faced each other. A breeze flew through the field, rustling the grass.

"Quilava, go and use flame wheel!" Sahib called, wanting this to be over as soon as possible.

Quilava charged and suddenly flames erupted from all around his body. He slammed into the much slower Golem, knocking the Pokémon back on its back. Quilava unleashed a steady stream of fire directly into the Pokémon's weakest spot—its face. Then Quilava leapt away. It was about to go in for another flame wheel, when suddenly Golem stood and slammed its fist on the ground. The earth began to ripple slowly in a magnitude. Quilava trembled as the earth shook. It got smacked by small stones and rocks, until finally the attack was over. Quilava glared angrily at the Golem. The Golem smirked back at Quilava in reply.

"Golem, finish this quickly. Use rock blast!" the kid called to his Pokémon.

Golem roared and moved its arms so they were facing the sky. Rocks slowly began to move and assemble from the field, almost appearing out of thin air. They slowly moved in front of the Golem. Golem slammed them towards Quilava in rapid succession. Quilava dodged as fast as possible, almost missing each and every one. The final one hit it in the front, knocking the Pokémon backwards.

"Quilava, let's try for an ember! Then get close with quick attack, but at the final moment use flame wheel!" Sahib cried to Quilava.

Quilava responded immediately. It launched a stream of fire directly towards the Golem once more. Golem roared and blocked its face with its arm. The attack didn't do much damage. Sahib was happy to find that there was a red and angry burn mark on the Golem's skin. Quilava then charged at the Golem quickly. It got close, burst into fire, and slammed that flaming body into Golem's rock hard body. The Pokémon cried out, wincing as its burn was hit directly. It roared and then slowly began to glow bright white. Sahib's eyes went wide.

"Quilava, get away with quick attack!" Sahib called desperately.

Golem was using selfdestruct. Sahib knew this would end very, very badly for Quilava unless it got away. Quilava leapt away from Golem, but too late. Though Golem basically blew itself up, Quilava got slammed by the attack as well. Sahib snapped his eyes shut as the bright light soon became too much. When it was over, he slowly opened his eyes. Golem was down…but Quilava was still standing. Sahib let out a breath.

"Nice battle, kid," Sahib called.

"Heh…same," the boy replied, recalling his Golem.

"Bro, mom wants us!" the littler one called to his brother.

Without another word, they both ran off. Sahib then released all of his fainted Pokémon, and set about using some of the mushrooms from before (he couldn't believe he still had a bit of them) to heal his team. By the time he was done, they were all ready to go and fighting fit…at least, for the time being.
