"Ugh, that guy gives me the creeps" Kaitlyn murmured suppressing a shiver, while Sho nodded in agreement, Hunter just walked beside Kaitlyn silently until they reached Gage and Angela, the latter welcomed her with a grin and a hug "There's my favorite little brat!" Kaitlyn pulled away from the hug and smiled "I am not a brat you hag!" she sniffed "You've seem to become a bit senile in your old age" Angela snorted "Perhaps, but I can still whoop you ass" Kaitlyn just laughed and pulled the elderly woman into another hug "It's nice to see you again" Angela pulled away and nodded "Likewise" her gaze flickered to Sho, who blinked back a bit unsure "Pika?" Angela's eyes warmed and she took the Pikachu from Kaitlyn's shoulder, smiling and petting the mouse's fur gently "Little guy reminds me of when we were young"

"Oh yeah, you had a Pikachu too. Where is Bolt?" Angela smiled and motioned to her Raichu, it looked a lot more experienced and powerful than Sho, the Pikachu leapt out of Angela's arms and stared up at his evolved form "Bolt, say hi, you remember Kaitlyn right?" the Raichu grinned up at Kaitlyn and nodded "Raichu!" Kaitlyn bent down and hugged the Raichu "Long time no see Bolt. You've been keeping out of trouble right?" Bolt crossed his arms, since when did he ever get in trouble "This is Sho" she pointed to the Pikachu and then turned to Hunter "And this is Hunter" the Croconaw gave a sheepish grin and waved.

Kaitlyn turned back to the elderly couple, while their Pokémon got acquainted "Hey. . ." she started, glancing back at Shaun, who was talking with someone else "What's up with that Shaun guy, I've got a bad feeling about him" Angela just smiled and waved her hand dismissively "Don't worry about Shaun, he's always been like that, even when we were young. He was power hungry and had defected from the clan for a bit, but he came back around, he'd always seem like the type who got off on blood shed and destruction, but hey" she shrugged "There's nothing we can do about it. But, there's nothing to worry about with him" Kaitlyn bit the inside of her cheek, unsure, she wasn't doubting the woman, but that guy seriously rubbed her the wrong way.

"But enough about Shaun, what going on with you and Cairne, will I be expecting any grand nieces and nephews anytime soon?" Kaitlyn gaped and began to splutter, while Angela gave her a sly smile and Gage shook his head "Honestly, they've been friends since they were like . . . what six?" he motioned to Kaitlyn, who was red in the face and staring at Angela with disbelief "She used him as a personal punching bag all his life. . . you remember all those times he came home with welts and bruises, how did love enter this equation?"

Angela snorted "Ohh Pshaw, everyone knows that the one you hurt the most is the one you love. Its called tension! We had it when we were kids" It was Gage's turn to snort and he mumbled under his breath "That wasn't tension, that was you PMSing 24-7" Angela growled, obviously hearing him, her eyes narrowing "What was that old man!" Gage laughed nervously "Ahahaha nothing. I love you dear. . ."

"That's what I thought you said sweetie" she giggled and kissed his cheek "Honestly, I don't even think I wear the pants in this relationship anymore" Gage pouted and Angela laughed, hugging him "Aww don't be such kill joy. I'm not that bad. . . anymore" she mumbled, recalling their days as teens before her gaze slid back to Kaitlyn "So Kaitlyn, you never answered my question, what's going on with you and my grandson"

Kaitlyn flushed lightly and turned her head away "Th-There's nothing going on between us. I haven't even spoken to the jerk since we flew in on Angel and I pushed him off her into a pond"

"You did what now?" Gage and Angela were at a loss for words and Kaitlyn explained what happened during their flight. Angela burst into a fit of laughter "Oh that's rich! I wish I would've thought of that when we rode on Sly's Fearow!" It was Gage's turn to flush as he remembered that day "It wasn't my fault, I told you my hand slipped!"

"Ha! Likely story, we were both young and you were full of testosterone and I was nothing but a sweet innocent angel and you took advantage of me in my moment of weakness" Angel exaggerated and Gage scowled "Angel? Ha, you were like the devil's incarnate, especially with Bolt around, he was like your personal demon guard dog or something" Angela just stuck her tongue out at Gage childishly and Bolt ignored them, he was too busy lecturing and giving Sho some pointers. Kaitlyn kinda began to tune them out when they began to bicker about things that happened in the past or were completely irrelevant.

"Ahh shouldn't we do something about them?" Kaitlyn looked to Bolt, who shook his head and sighed "Raichu. . ." Bolt raised his long wiry tail and lightly wacked Angela across the head, she stopped bickering with her husband and laughed "Ehehe oops… Sorry dear, didn't mean to hold you up" Kaitlyn shook her head "It's alright" she grinned "It was really nice seeing you both again, but I should get going now" she hugged Angela and Gage one last time and gave Bolt a pat on the head, allowing her Pokémon to say their goodbyes before she scooped Sho and Hunter into her arms and exited the room.

The Nurse was nice enough to heal her Pokémon and give her, the key to a room, after changing into her PJ's, which consisted of a too large for her T-Shirt, which she swiped from Rafe and a pair of boxers, she allowed Stitch and Snoopy to stay out of their balls for tonight, Stitch was curled up with Snoopy, they both took the recliner, while Sho climbed onto the bed with Kaitlyn, Hunter looked a bit left out as he glanced at all the sleeping arrangements, but Kaitlyn was quick to call him over to the bed and hug him tightly like a push toy as she laid down and Sho slept curled up beside her head, when she was sure all the Pokémon were asleep, Kaitlyn began to think about everything that's happened.

Thinking back on all of this, Kaitlyn began to realize how much danger she was really in, she wondered what her mom and brother's would say if they ever found out she was off saving the world, Kaitlyn chuckled slightly and rolled onto her back, pulling up her covers to her chin, Hunter had moved to the other side of her head, curled up tightly, she smiled softly, glancing at her Pokémon, who were all asleep soundly, she wondered when was the last time they had a nice rest or a warm bed to sleep in.

"It's been a long while" she thought glancing outside, from her window she could see the moon hanging beautifully in the sky "I wonder if Cairne can see the moon too. . ."

Will I be expecting any grand nieces and nephews anytime soon?

Kaitlyn felt her face heat up and she shook her head at the ridiculous thought "Me and Cairne? N-No way, he doesn't even like me like that. . ." she frowned slightly "N-Not that I want him to like me like that. . ." she nodded to herself, they were friends and nothing more "He sure hasn't been acting like much of a friend lately" she pouted before lidding her eyes lazily and snuggling into the covers "I should go kick his ass first thing tomorrow morning, I'll show him. . . not to. . . mmm ignore me" her thoughts drifted off drowsily as she was suddenly out like a light.

Sometime during the evening, their room had a guest, the boy snuck quietly over to Kaitlyn's sleeping figure, none of her Pokémon stirred and his lips twitched at her peaceful face, the only time she ever looked harmless he mused, before her arm instinctively shot forward and caught him on the chin, she mumbled sleepily and curled back into the covers, while the boy slid a note into the pocket of her pants before sneaking back out, once he was sure Cairne was gone, Snoopy lifted his head up, glancing briefly at Kaitlyn, making sure he did nothing to harm her, then he glanced curiously at the letter in her pocket, he shrugged and went back to sleep, they'd find out about it in the morning.

No more than a couple hours later, there was a large explosion that shook the entire room, arousing Kaitlyn and her Pokémon awake, she quickly hopped to her feet and pulled on her clothes, rushing out her room with her Pokémon, only to find the Center in ruins it was burning, fire spread rapidly through out the building, Kaitlyn and her gang made it quickly outside but before she could assess the damage a group of men cloaked in white stood before her, she realized that they wouldn't leave with out a fight and Kaitlyn groaned, can't they ever have a moment of peace.

3 Pokémon appeared on the field, an Umbreon, a Gliscor and a Loudred "Three-on-Three free for all?" the man shrugged in an uncaring tone and Kaitlyn smiled, at least the battle would be done faster this way. Snoopy stood faithfully by Kaitlyn's side, drawing to his full height, while Stitch, Sho and Hunter stood ready for battle "Alright! Sho, Stitch and Hunter you three get in there. Ice Fang. Thunder Shock and Astonish!"

"Counter with Supersonic, Quick Attack and Screech!"

Umbreon shot forward, it ran at high speeds towards Hunter, who was aiming Ice Fang at Gliscor, who launched a Screech attack at Stitch, who was going to use Astonish on Umbreon, who Sho was going to be attacked by Loudred.

All six attacks collided in a flurry, Ice Fang never had a chance to make it to Gliscor because Umbreon rammed Hunter in the stomach with Quick Attack, causing the crocodile to loose its focus and the attack failed, but seconds later its body lit up, it had gotten shocked with Thunder Shock and Sho got blown back by Screech, but not before Gliscor got hit with Astonish and Loudred hit Stitch with Supersonic.

After the confusion, Kaitlyn had realized that both sides had a handicap, Stitch was confused and Umbreon was paralyzed and Gliscor had flinched, Hunter was picking himself off the floor from the Quick Attack and Sho was shaking his head so he could hear again, Loudred was the only one who didn't get attacked or hit by something.

"Loudred Bite! Umbreon Tackle! Gliscor Fury Cutter!" all three Pokémon leapt into action, Loudred biting down on Stitch, who cried out in pain, while Gliscor clipped Sho with his wings and Umbreon slammed himself into Hunter again, the Croconaw shook his head and charged at Umbreon, claws glowing and he slashed the dark Pokémon across the face, leaving a large and noticeable scar on its cheek, Umbreon growled, things have just gotten serious.

Sho was dealing with Loudred now, trading blows with the giant walking speaker Slam and Pound. Fists met Tail as both Pokémon attempted to out do one another, Sho would use Thunder Shock every now and then and Loudred would sometimes Howl, breaking the Pikachu's concentration before following up with a harsh Bite and Sho would respond with a Nasty Plot and Expert Belt powered Thunder Shock.

Gliscor and Stitch were going at it as well, though Gliscor was a bit limited to attacks, due to most of the attacks being ineffective, only being able to use Faint Attack and Fury Cutter but even if it was limited, Gliscor sure knew how to throw down in tough situations, throwing combo's of the two attacks left and right, not to mention the sky was its domain, so it flew and veered out of the way of any oncoming attacks from Stitch, who was trying to figure out how she was going to get the Gliscor on the ground long enough for her to jump on its back.

"Crocooooo"

"Scoor!"

Stitch's prayers had been answered, by a flying Hunter, who had been tossed back roughly by a pissed off Umbreon, he landed harshly on the Gliscor's back, sending both of the Pokémon sprawling to the ground in a tangle of tails and limbs, but Hunter was quick to shoot back up and Shoot a Water Gun at Umbreon, pushing it back and charging at it again with Dragon Claw while Stitch clambered onto Gliscor's back, slashing away with Fury Swipes and Night Shade.

"Pikaaaaa! Pika!" Sho had used Slam, his tail smacked the side of Loudred's face roughly, sending the large Pokémon flying, right into Umbreon and Hunter followed up with Water Gun, shooting both of them into the air with a powerful blast, causing them to crash into Gliscor, knocking Stitch off its back, but that gave Sho and opening to use Thunder Shock, setting the two soaking wet Pokémon alight with sparks, since Gliscor was unaffected by electric attacks, but all three were sent tumbling to the ground, mostly because Gliscor couldn't support all the weight "Now finish it! Night Shade! Thunder Shock! Ice Fang!"

While she was pretty sure the other two were down for the count, Kaitlyn still had to finish off the Gliscor. Though Thunder Shock had no effect on Gliscor and the other two got shocked again, it was affected by the Night Shade and Ice Fang, all three attacks combined and struck the trio, there was a loud explosion and silence enveloped the battlefield. Sho, Hunter and Stitch looked extremely tired and worn from the battle, all three leaned against one another for support as they stood panting, their opponents however were down for the count.
"Way to go you guys!" Kaitlyn congratulated her Pokémon and picked all three of them up, Snoopy grinned wolfishly down at them, congratulating the trio, who just gave tired groans in response, she looked around and noticed a few of the others were outside, along with the Heroes of the Past, except for Shaun, she wondered where he ran off to briefly before leaving the tired Trio with Snoopy, while she went to go help douse the flames and save whatever was left of the Center.

"It seems there has been an attempt on our lives tonight…" Grecko started as he approached them "Ee must work quicker to figure this out… Come now we have been invited to stay at the Bill's house for the remainder of the night. In the morning you will continue your mission and training." He explained before motioning for them to follow him down the road and around a corner (exaggeration XD) Upon reaching the house, there was a man standing in front of the house in nothing but his PJ's he looked to be about 60 "Welcome Clan of Hope please follow me, I am Bill the PC inventor, I am glad to have you staying with me for the night!" he told them all before leading them each individually to their own separate room. Kaitlyn changed out of her clothes and back into her T-shirt and boxers and everyone crowded on the bed with her, except for Snoopy, because he was too big, so he slept on the floor beside her and since Stitch was such a nice and thoughtful Sableye, she decided to take her place, curled up on his torso while he curled around her, they all had peaceful dreams that night.
 
After his chat with Sean, he quickly took off. He exited the conference room and immediately turned to the counter and saw no one there, the boy scowled and looked down at his pokemon. They were exhausted from the long trip from Azalea, many things had happened along the way. The boy peeked over to the counter and scanned the center, no nurse was around. The boy sighed and walked over to the PC, he quickly deposited his newly caught Tauros then walked around the center.

He walked over to the entrance of the hall when he heard Nurse Joy's angry voice, the boy quickly took cover behind the wall.

The boy intently listened to the conversation, his crimson eyes peeking past the wall to see Nurse Joy wagging her finger at a younger nurse. The boy's eyes widened, 'It's her!' he thought mentally, the nice nurse with dark hair. Something about her was familiar, he thought.

"You should focus on your studies, instead of following this trainer around to every gym he visits!" Nurse Joy wagged her finger at the nurse,

"But Nurse Joy, If I want to graduate from Earl's Academy, I have to learn about trainers! This boy is a trainer, so I'm following him to learn about Pokemon Trainers! Nothing more!" The girl protested.

Damion's crimson eyes widened, and lost all life. The boy's gaze turned away from the two, she had lied to him...she wasn't his friend. Damion trudged over to the counter and waited for the nurse's to finish their conversation about him. The nurse who was Damion's age came sauntering over and smiled at the boy,

"Hey there again, may I heal your pokemon?" Damion was silent as he handed the nurse his pokeballs, she knew something was wrong as she put his pokeball into the machine.

"What's wrong?" The boy clenched his fists and the girl touched his shoulder, Damion pulled away from her. He looked her square in her eyes, and said something dangerously.

"I've said this once to you, and I'll say it again! Don't touch me; don't pretend to be nice to me. I don't need anyone, no one needs me. I know you hate me. So start acting like it, because I hate it when people lie!! It hurts." The boy scowled, the girl was speechless. Tears forming in the corner of her eyes, she bit her lip.

"You DO remember...that valentine's day..." The girl grinned as the machine buzzed, trainer and nurse alike were staring at each other. One full of love, one full of hate. Polar opposite...

but opposites attract...

"Just give me my pokemon." Damion growled as he snatched his pokeballs and walked out, the nurse was wiped her tears from her eyes, grinning all the while. She was full of so many emotions at the time, it was hard to tell what she really felt.

A tall, hefty man stood at the gym's gate. Damion and the man were arguing bitterly,

"Let me in!!" Damion shouted,

"I'm sorry, but Mrs. Whitney ain't taking no more challenges for today." The man said in a deep, gruff voice. The boy cursed underneath his breath and looked the man square in the eyes. Damion's eyes widened as a small shock vibrated in his very brain, a deep and dark voice spoke out,

"Say this, EXACTLY this...Darkness has a way of keeping things alive..." The man's voice trailed off in the boy's mind, he scowled at the voice silently. It really got irritating after a while, Damion looked back at the man,

"Darkness has a way of keeping things alive..." Damion's voice was chilly, and blunt. The man's eyes widened as he stepped aside, he didn't speak. The boy flung the door open and walked inside, the temperature was mildly warm. The room had a very odd ambiance, the gym itself and the things inside of the gym contradicted each other.

The walls were made of dank, white brick, resembling a mental institution's walls. A few windows were placed high on the walls, all Damion could see through them were the bright stars in the sky. The room was littered with nice pastures of grass, filled with fields of vibrant-colored flowers.

A mob of girls ran towards Damion,

"Hey there!"

"Hi, it's pretty late isn't it?"

"Oh, he's cute!"

"I think the gym is closed."

All of these voices were blared at Damion at the same time, Damion sweatdropped as the girls bombarded him with greeting and pinches and hugs. The boy flushed as the pretty girls continued this, but soon they disbanded and went to continue their regular duties.

"Oi! Dex Holder!" A voice yelled from the bench a few yards away..

It had swirly glasses and dark hair, a sneaky smile on its face, dressed completely in a white and black striped suit typical for old men.

"Random Gym Guy! Hey there!" Damion snapped out of her suppressed rage and smiled at the man. "And what the hell are you wearing? A dead skunk?!" His face fell rapidly and hid a burst of laughter behind a cough.

"It's my babe magnet suit. Whitney's got some hot students." Random Gym Guy shrugged.

Damion clucked his tongue disapprovingly. "I only see….." His eyes skimmed over the gym. "….three semi-okay girls in total. 'Hot' seems like an overstatement. Besides, how can you get them to come near you when you're dressed like a deluded convict?"

"….You're annoying."

"I try." Damion smirked. "Anyway, what's the low-down on Whitney? Any tips for me?"

"Some, not many. I've been hanging around here for a while, so I saw her train. Her pokemon are all normal, as you know. Beware of her Miltank; it's a nasty piece of work."

"Right. How do you think a Tyrogue will fair in this gym? And don't run off on me like last time, that was creepy and you made it seem like I was going to die…." Damion sweatdropped.

"Tyrogue…hm….One word: Baby. Have fun getting stomped on."

"Oh, that is SO comforting…." Damion scoffed as he walked down the gym, he passed a flight of stairs where an older woman stood. She turned and smiled,

"HEY! How's it going, cutie?!" The petit gym leader smiled,

"You're here late, aren't you? Hehe, you must be an Eager Beaver wanting a battle! Don't worry, I'm JUST like that!" The hyperactive gym leader grinned, and winked at Damion. The boy smirked as the gym leader pulled out two pokeballs,

"All my other Pokemon are exhausted from a long day of battling so I'm sorry to say I will be using my strongest Pokemon against you if you don't mind!"

"I wouldn't have it any other way." Damion scoffed. The gym leader proceeded to place her two pokeballs on a small table and whispered something that sounded a lot like, 'Inee, meeny, minie, mo'.

She picked up a pokeball and kissed it, she flung the ball into the air. Damion threw his pokeball into the battle field as well.

"Delcatty!"

"Yami!!"

The creamy colored cat pokemon appeared, her purple fur very large and vibrant. Yami glared at the Delcatty, his large wings flapping violently.

"Faint Attack!"

"Reflect."

The Delcatty burst forth from her starting position and began to close in on Yami, her body fading away gradually as she came closer. Yami quickly shook his head as a wall of purple energy formed, the wall was tall and wide in dimension.

Delcatty crashed into the wall, her body trying fiercely to break through the reflect. Yami landed on the ground and began to waddle closer and closer towards Delcatty, his reflect becoming more and more powerful. The cat pokemon growled as she broke through the wall of energy, the energy breaking off into shards and flying off into different directions.

Delcatty's body collided with Yami, sending him flying off. Damion scowled, "Her pokemon are higher levels." He cursed under his breath,

"Confusion!"

The wave of psychic energy was spread out towards the floor, the energy was splashed onto the floor. The energy reverted back to a solid form of a blast and began to rocket towards Delcatty. The cat pokemon turned around and dashed down the battle field.

"Delcatty, jump over the attack!" Whitney shouted, the Delcatty leaped over the blast of psychic energy. The cat smirked as the attack flew underneath her, Damion tutted and wagged his finger.

"Nope." He smirked as the blast of energy quickly bounced back and struck Delcatty square in her small body. The cat was sent plummeting down to the ground,

"Copy Cat!!"


"Take Down!!"

Yami quickly flapped his powerful wings which quickly took him high into the gym's roof, he squinted his eyes as he watched the Delcatty plummet down to the floor. The Noctowl waited for the right moment to strike, the Delcatty began to wag her tail. The end of her tail began to glow, that's when Yami flew into action.

The owl pokemon's body smashed into Delcatty's, sending both pokemon plummet to the floor. Yami glared at Delcatty, who was doing the same. Both pokemon bruised and scratched up,

"Now!" Whitney shouted, her Delcatty released a wave of psychic energy that blasted back Yami. The Noctowl righted himself in the air and landed on the ground,

"Hmm. So that's the power of Copycat..." Damion smirked as his Noctowl glared at Delcatty,

"Return, Yami." The pokeball smacked the owl and sucked him inside, his place was quickly taken by a large yellow figure.

"Amp! Thundershock!!" The large Ampharos released a powerful jet of electricity, much more powerful than when she was a Flaaffy. The thundershock struck Delcatty head on, the charred cat pokemon was launched backwards. The swirls on her eyes indicated her knocked out status, that didn't stop him.

Damion smirked, "Thundershock, once more!" The thundershock attack struck Delcatty and sent her flying back.

"That wasn't nice..." Whitney yelled as she recalled Delcatty.

"Welp, this can't be helped. You asked for it, Miltank!!" Whitney grinned as she released a large behemoth. The pink pokemon had a large tail and floppy, pink tongue.

"Taro!" The silver Pupitar was released and glared at the towering Miltank,

"Body Slam!!"

"Dark Pulse!!"

The large pink Miltank flung her body into the air, Taro glared at the pokemon all the while. Miltank yelled out as her body quickly plummeted down to the ground. Her large stomach making contact with Taro's head,

"NOW!" Damion snapped his fingers, Taro scoffed and released a burst of energy. The burst of dark energy quickly exploded out of Taro's body and struck the Miltank. The pink cow pokemon was launched back into the air, the silver Pupitar flung his body and followed the injured Miltank.

"Stone Edge." Damion smirked as the Pupitar growled, rings surrounding his body. Several sharp stones began to float around the Pupitar's body, the stones were quickly launched at the Miltank.

"Oh no, Miltank!" Whitney screamed out, her large pokemon landed back where it started with a large thud. Dust beginning to form and soon blanket the entire half of the arena,

"Ready? NOW!" Whitney screamed out. The dust seemed to be cut in half and began spiraling, as a large ball figure began to rocket out of the smoke. The figure burst forth from cloud of dust, a large pink ball came barreling towards Taro.

"Crap." Damion cursed under his breath as the large ball smashed into Taro, his body was launched back towards Damion and landed violently. The smirked,

"Nice trick."

"Ya think so? This one's better." Whitney grinned as her Miltank began to wave her tail, obviously trying to seduce Taro. The Pupitar's gaze was fixated on the Miltank,

"NO! Don't fall for it, Taro! She's lowering your Sp. Attack!" Damion growled, the boy scowled as the attack ended.

"Hmm. Nice, you've managed to lower his stat. Return." Damion quickly made another exchange, in Taro's place stood a very stout figure. Pink skin and a red bandanna around his neck,

"Togo. Brick Break." The Tyrogue nodded and unfolded his arms. Given his small size, the Tyrogue was very quick and agile. He made his way across the field very quickly,

"Milk Drink!" The Miltank proceeded to drop down on all fours and let out a loud 'Moo' as her tail flung up and her face lit up with happiness. Damion cursed, the Miltank had healed herself back up to half health.

"Togo. Quick!" Damion screamed out as Tyrogue screamed, he brought down his rock hard hand into a Karate Chop which struck Miltank square in the head. The normal type was launched back a great length and skidded across the floor violently, several scratches forming on her body.

"Roll Out!!" The Miltank coiled herself into a large ball and rocketed at Togo, both trainer and pokemon had the same thing in mind. They both smirked, Togo waited patiently until the very final moment where she was in front of him.

Togo quickly leaped up at the same time Damion yelled out, "Counter!" The Tyrogue let out a powerful kick which stopped the swirling ball in mid-air, then released a powerful punch which launched the spinning Miltank back at her trainer.

"WAH!!" Whitney screamed as the Miltank was brought upon her body, the trainer and pokemon were flung backwards. Damion smirked,

"Heh, he didn't say anything about injuring the gym leader. I should get bonus points." He smirked at Togo as he landed gracefully. Miltank and Whitney got up, bruises and gashes apparent on both of them now. The trainer yelled out,

"That was SOO unnecessary!! Body Slam!!" Miltank dashed down the battle field, Damion held out his arm. Togo smirked and quickly ran down the field as well, Miltank leaped over to Tyrogue's body and brought her weight down upon the tiny creature. The floor beneath fissured, a large crack appearing. Miltank quickly got up to reveal a battered Tyrogue,

"TOGO!!" Damion screamed out.

He laid there, lifeless. Well, semi-conscious, as he could see and hear what was going on. But he had no control of his movements. He heard his voice, it was muffled, but he could hear it non-the-less. He scowled at himself mentally, how could he let this happen. He made a promise to himself, to be the strongest out there. He couldn't let this new boy abandon him either, he would prevail.

He can't let this happen, he won't. This was his first gym battle, so he shook his head. He groped the floor and kneeled up,

"Haha. Looks like your Tyrogue is out for the match!"

"No way, he can't be!"

He heard the voice of his trainer and the silly old woman, who he thought was too hyperactive for her age. He smirked to himself, stupid humans.

Damion was amazed, his Tyrogue stood up. Togo glared at the Miltank before him, she towered over him. She was much larger than he was, obviously. Both pokemon had deep scars, and bruises.

"Miltank! Body Slam!"

"Hmph. Mach Punch."

Miltank flung her large body into the air, and brought it down over Togo's head with skull-crushing force. Togo grunted as he leaped into the air and sunk his powerful fist into the deep gut of the Miltank, who was launched back into the air and fell to the floor. The floor fissuring,

"Mach Punch always strikes first. ALWAYS." Damion smirked as he recalled Togo, Whitney recalled Miltank, tears apparent at the edges of her eyes.

"Miltank!" She cried out as she ran over to Miltank, several gashes on her stomach from the dark pulse and bruises on her back from the counter attack. Blood strickling down the corner of her mouth, Delcatty was no better.

"Here! Take your damn Plain Badge!!" She yelled out as she threw the small badge at Damion, the boy raised his palm and swiftly caught the badge. He smirked,

"Thank you very much." The boy smirked as he quickly followed the crying gym leader outside, they both ended up in the same place. The PokemonCenter.

"It's okay Whitney, don't worry. Your pokemon will be fine." Nurse Joy comforted the gym leader. Damion entered the PokemonCenter, his hands shoved in his pocket and his earphones on. Whitney and Nurse Joy glared at the boy, the nurse who was Damion's age was shocked. She stared at the injured Miltank and Delcatty, then looked back at Damion.

Damion turned to the girl and smirked, he closed his eyes and went to bed.

Cairne awoke in his sleeping bag as a ray of sunshine glared into his face. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. "What a long night..." Cairne said while yawning. He opened his slightly puffy eyes and looked around the room to see he was the only one still who hadn't already left. He stood up and pulled a shirt down over his chest. He grabbed his bag and his Pokemon balls and walked out onto Bills kitchen.

"Got a big day planned kid?" Bill said sipping his coffee still in his Pjs.

"Well, sort of... It all depends how everything goes." Cairne said smiling.

"I see... You hungry? You're going to need the energy...." Bill sid looking away and taking another sip.

"No I'm fine thank you... Wait, what?" Cairne said thinking over what the man said.

"Nothing kid, just enjoy your day, I have to catch up on my Soaps." He pulled out a remote control and turned on his TV.

"Weird old man..." Cairne said under his breath as he walked out of the house. He stretched and walked up over the railway tracks. He made his way up to a tall fruit tree in the route and leaned up against it. He plucked a blue berry from the tree and popped it in his mouth as he closed his eyes.

After about ten minutes of waiting Cairne heard angry footsteps coming from in front of him but he kept his eyes closed. "You sure as hell got some nerve Taveres!" He heard Kai's voice and he opened his eyes to see the note he had left her clenched and right next to his face.

"Hi there Kaitlyn..." Cairne yawned trying to act uncaring and rude on purpose.

"I outta kick your ass..." She said looking down on him.

"Well that's not very gentlemanly of you!" Cairne said standing up and grinning.

"You bastard!" She said clenching her fist shut on the note. "I'll kill you!" She yelled as she swung at him with her fist. Cairne held out his hand and caught her fist before it could make contact, his hand dwarfed hers in size and she just looked up to him in disbelief, before scowling.

"I have a little proposition for you," Cairne said. "Let's have a two on two battle, if you win you can beat me as senseless as you wish." He said grinning down on the girl.

"And what if you win?" She asked as Cairne released her fist.

"If I win then you have to spend the whole day with me and let me explain myself." He said still grinning.

"....Fine!" Was all Kaitlyn said before pulling out two Pokemon balls. "Come on Sho and Hunter!" She said tossing the two balls up into the air. Out of them came a small yellow mouse and a blue crocodile-like creature.

Cairne was amused by the smallness of her Pokemon... She wouldn't even stand a chance against Ripe or Baron.... Cairne thought to himself. "Lets go Omen, let's go Slash!" Cairne said tossing out the balls containing his two smaller Pokemon.

"Let's start with a combo! Hunter use Water Gun and Sho use Thundershock!" Her Pokemon shot an electrically powered stream of water directly at Omen.

"Omen use Razor Wind!" Cairne yelled and his Pokemon split stream in half sending the way away from himself. "Slash you use Mud Shot on the Pikachu and Omen use bite on the Croconaw!"

"Sho use Thundershock and Hunter you use bite as well!" The Pikachu shot a blast of electricity from its cheek at the ball of mud but it had no effect and it was slammed back. Her Croconaw was much more successful on the other hand, as Omen clamped his jaw shut on one of its legs the Croconaw bit into its left shoulder.

"Omen use Razor Wind to break free and Slash follow it up with Scratch!" Omen shot a blast of wind from his head knocking Hunter off of his shoulder while Slash jumped forward to scratch Sho.

"Switch targets guys, Hunter use Ice Fang on the Kabuto and Pikachu use Slam on the Absol!" Kai told her Pokemon.

"Dodge you two!" Cairne yelled. Omen made it out just in time to not get whacked with Sho's tail but Croconaw caught Slash in its jaws and began shaking its head back and forth like a rabid dog. "Absorb attack Slash!" Cairne yelled and his Pokemon latched onto Hunters face and began sucking energy from its body.

"Sho! Knock the Kabuto off with a Thundershock and be careful!" Kai commanded and her Pikachu shot a small blast of electricity at Slash knocking it to the ground while slightly damaging Hunter.

"Omen use Scratch on Pikachu!" Cairne yelled and Omen, although injured leaped upward and brought its claws down on the Pikachu's head. "Quick Hunter! Dragon Claw!" wincing the Croconaw shot to his feet, but swiftly met Omen head on, claw for claw, Scratch against Dragon Claw, it was obvious who was going to win, but in the end Omen managed to pull through, knocking Hunter aside and lunging at Sho. Omen dug his claws into the small yellow mouse and sent it down to the ground.

"Get up and use Slam Sho!" Kai pointed at Kabuto who received a hard tackle knocking him into the tree and knocking him out. "Hunter use Dragon Claw!" She commanded pointing at Omen.

"Quick Attack on Sho Omen!" Cairne commanded. Omen dashed away from the claws and blindsided Sho knocking him into the nearby pond.

"Hunter use Water Gun!" Kai yelled and her Pokemon shot a giant burst of water from its mouth at Omen.

"Omen use Razor Wind and Quick Attack!" Cairne yelled and his Pokemon slashed the water in half. He ran up the split in the stream and slammed Hunter in the chest.

"Come on Hunter, get back up and fight!" Hunter struggled to stand to its feet andespite Kai's cheering the Pokemon just didn't have the will to stand back up. What a lucky shot.... Cairne thought to himself. He had completely underestimated Kai's Pokemon and if it hadn't been for that last attack Omen would have surely been defeated.

"You got lucky Cairne..." Kai grumbled returning her Pokemon.

"Maybe I'm just better than you!" Cairne said sticking out his tongue.

"Yeah in your dreams ass wipe!" She yelled at him.

"You still haven't taken care of that Potty mouth of yours have you?" Cairne said mocking his childhood friend.

"Shut up...." She said plopping down next to the pond. "So what exactly do you want to talk about?" She asked tossing a stone out onto the water and watching it skip.

"Well... First of all I wanted to tell you... I'm sorry for everything I did to you Kaitlyn... I should have never left you behind and because of that I do deserve a beating...." Cairne apologized.

"You deserve more than that, but I'm being nice today. . ." She said tossing another stone out on the water.

"Do you remember that time by the lake back home when James was bullying me again?" Cairne asked her while searching for a nice flat rock.

"Yeah, Rafe scared him off didn't he? We were lucky he did otherwise James would have seriously hurt you." She watched the ripples in the pond.

"Well... That was really like the last straw for me... When I saw him slap you I got so pissed off... I just wanted to hurt him... Make him feel as much pain as possible... But I was so weak and helpless... There was nothing I could do. I was done being weak, done being treated like a loser and sick of seeing the people I cared about get hurt." He tossed a rock hard into the water but instead of skipping it made a giant splash in the water.

"So what? You decide to up and abandon me!? I get you wanted to be like the chivalrous knight and protect me and play hero and stuff, but how were you going to do that by leaving me there?" She asked while skipping a stone clear to the other side.

"My grandparents... Both of them were champions on their own right Kai... They could teach me how to be strong and independent and back then that's what I thought I needed..." He sighed and scratched his cheek. "I realize now how wrong I was..."

"Yeah Cairne you made huge mistake... I was so mad when you left... I was even sad for a while...." She looked off breaking her eye contact with Cairne.

"YOU! FEELING REAL HUMAN EMOTION? BLASPHEMY!" Cairne said making his attempt at a joke.

"Shut up...dumbass" She said trying not to laugh. "You really hurt me Cairne... You were my closest friend... If it weren't for my brothers and my mom I would've gone insane I swear..."

"I'm sorry Kai... I really am..." He threw a stone out on the pond and it skipped clear to the other side.

For what felt like forever there was complete silence until Cairne broke the ice.

"You know what Kai?" Cairne said with a smile on his face.

"What?" She said feeling around for a rock.

"Way back when we were kids I used to have a huge crush on you..." He laughed ad began searching for a rock of his own.

"Really. I never noticed" She mumbled

"Yeah well I was under a lot of damn pressure.. that's why I never asked you out." He said trying really hard not to blush.

"Yeah, well I was obviously being flocked by tons of boy's at the time you loser. . . If you grew so balls, You could've done it whenever." She chuckled at him.

"Whatever..." Cairne said.

"I mean if you asked me out now I might even say yes." She looked at him smiling mischievously.

"Really!?" Cairne said excitedly

"No not really, I mean I just barely stopped hating you!" She grinned.

"....*****." Cairne said under his breath looking down.

The two talked for hours straight through the afternoon until the sun began to set.

"So give me a real reason you refuse to go out with me, that's a total bull excuse and you know it." Cairne laughed feeling around for a rock.

"Pfft... If you must know I have more options than you that I am considering..." She started feeling around for a rock too.

"What you mean that midget Zack kid? Oh yeah hes a real sexy beast! And his personality is a winner too..." Cairne laughed

"Hey, don't talk about Zack like that! He's a bit of a jerk, but he seems to have more of a personality than you!" She pointed out.

"Ooh burn! That's harsh man... Real low blow." Cairne responded.

Cairne continued aimlessly searching for a rock until he spotted one. As he reached out to grab it and noticed Kaitlyn's hand was already reaching out for it. The two grasped the stone at the same time and began pulling at it as hard as they could.

"Mine!" Cairne said laughing and pulling.

"No..." Kaitlyn said as Cairne pulled as hard as he could pulling Kaitlyn on top of him, both their eyes wide "...Mine" She whispered looking into his eyes and finishing what she was going to say. Their faces were maybe two inches apart and Cairne couldn't resist the urge, he leaned forward and touched his lips to hers in a soft kiss. He could've sworn she was kissing him back for an instant but all of a sudden she stopped and sat up pushing away from him.

"Woah...." She stood up swiftly and brushed herself off. "I. . . I have to go" She said and began to walk off. "Oh and guess what," She showed Cairne her hand and inside of it was the stone the two were fighting over. "MINE!" She tossed it out onto the water and it skipped clear across.

As Kaitlyn ran off Cairne placed his two palms behind his head and looked up at the orange sky. He just smiled and watched as the clouds floated by.

"He's quite the little charmer isn't he?" Angela said to her husband, the two had been watching Cairne and Kaitlyn for the past few hours with the help of Spoons.

"He gets it from me of course, as we both know my side of the family is irresistible." Gage said grinning.

"Haha, very funny Gage... You and I didn't even kiss the first time until I found out you weren't dead, and that was sort of an accident." Spoons laughed with her this time.

"Oh you know you totally wanted me before that." Gage said with a wide smile on his face before getting smacked in the head by Bolts tail. Gage grabbed the tail and looked at the small Pokemon. "Seriously Bolt, Angela and I have been married for almost 40 years now, you're going to have to get over it eventually..."

"Rai!" Bolt said shocking Cairne through his tail.

"Bolt you be nice!" Angela said and Bolt gave Gage the evil eye before curling up in his bed in the corner of the room. "Seriously isn't he adorable when he's jealous?"

"Yeah..... Right...." Gage said with a frown. Spoons turned and made eye contact with Gage while lifting an eye brow. Gage laughed. "He totally is!" Gage said laughing to his Pokemon.

"Goddamit Gage you aid you wouldn't do that weird Psychic connection thing anymore!" Angela yelled.

"Pfft... Blame Spoons... He keeps doing it." Gage pointed to Spoons trying not to get in trouble. Angela pulled out the ladle she was using to make dinner and smacked Gage in the head with it. "Don't you try to pawn this off on him."

"OWW!" Gage said grabbing his head in pain. Spoons began to laugh but Angela turned her head and gave him her "Scary Stare" while holding the Ladle tight in her hand. He stopped immediately and backed off into the next room.
 
Timeless: Ha I very much enjoyed the romantic comedy there XD between not only Kai and Cairne, but Gage and Angela haha, and nice reference to the Gage being dead thing.... Omen grew to lvl 31! Slash grew to lvl 29!
 
The first thing that Lili noticed as she woke up was that really, she didn't want to wake up. The bed was way too comfortable and she was way too tired. She also noticed that it was already a bit late in the morning, but she felt as if it were 6 o'clock instead.

The other girl that she had shared her room with was already gone, it was just Lili in the big room now. She quickly got ready for the day, pulled on her long jeans and bright tank top. She brushed her hair and pulled half of it back out of her face, leaving the rest free. She made her mind to enjoy this day instead of worrying about things. She'd find something to do, someone to battle. Strengthen her Pokémon a bit.

In fact she had been thinking of making a cut in her team. She had been starting to warm up a bit to Misdreavous in her team, but she was still uncomfortable with the ghost around. Maybe she could try to see how strong the ghost actually was? See if she could work with it enough to keep it.

She walked out of the house quickly, passing a Bill drinking coffee in front of the TV. If that was how rich old people spend their days, she'd rather not be rich and old. He smiled at her as she walked by and she smiled back before exiting the house. The day was a beautiful one with lots of sun, some clouds in the sky, and everything was bright. But the people weren't as bright as the day was, they all seemed shaken up by the explosion of the last night. Lili was certain of who had been behind it.

Pushing the thought back she went to get some breakfast at a local restaurant. The servers all wore more worried looks which didn't help Liliana's mood. So she took her food with her and ate in a park instead. She couldn't help but think of how much time she had been spending at parks lately, but they were just soothing to her. She loved to just sit in the grass and relax. But that wasn't what she was going to do all day today.

Out of curiosity she went to visit the gym. She wondered if it was still open, or if anything had already happened, for she was sure that something would. I front of the door was the same intimidating man again. But there was also a boy who had seemingly just been sent away. He had a long sandy hair in a ponytail and weird eyes. The same Grovyle was with him that had been there the last day too.

"Hey, you! Aren't you that guy from yesterday? Luke.. something?" Of course he had to be tall. Why did everyone have to be freakishly tall? This really wasn't good for her confidence.

"Yeah, Lucas. You were one of those people from yesterday right?" He seemed to be smirking, almost trying not to laugh. She really didn't appreciate that. One thing is being called short, the other is just plain being laughed at. Good thing he looked away before he actually started laughing.

"Looks like the gym is closed, huh?" She said it as innocently as possible. Her own badge was safely tucked inside her bag, but he didn't know this. "So, how did you get yourself tangled in all this anyway?" Lili looked him in the eye, trying to figure out what he had to do with all this. She was pretty sure he wasn't one of the Brotherhood, she hadn't seen him at the thing with the Tauros. This meant she had to keep her guard up around him.

"Oh nothing special," he answered. Lili was very skeptical about that one. "I was wondering in the forest looking for Bugsy. Guess the cloaked guy thought I was one of you guys. Then I ran into Elm yesterday, and… Somehow I ended up in this group. It's a bit strange, eh?" He stared right back into her eyes. This guy made it sound like it was nothing to be in this mess. It wasn't as if the Man in Black pranced about on a pony. She smiled to herself while picturing him prancing about on a Ponyta, but quickly shook the thought away.

"Yeah.. strange.." She admitted a bit half-heartedly. "Well, since you're here for a fight, why should you not get one? Up for a double?" She asked, she just wanted to see what he was all about. If he was actually strong. She wanted to battle someone, why not this guy?

Lucas grinned, he appeared happy by this turn of events and so did the Grovyle next to him. He nodded then said, "but first, I'd like to have a name to call you, deal?"

"Fair enough I guess, I'm Liliana." She considered sending in Misdreavous, but she wanted to be sure to beat this guy. So she released Abu and Sarabi, both eager to battle. Sarabi's unsettling green eyes stared straight into the Grovyle's, she seemed eager to fight it. Lucas seemed to scan the opposition for a second before releasing a great gray Pokémon Liliana identified as a Donphan. He seemed to wait for her to make the move, and she was fully planning to.

"Sarabi, start with a quick attack on the Donphan. Abu I want you to follow up with a fury attack also at the Donphan." The Pokémon quickly carried out what had been asked of them. Absol jumped forward with incredible speed toward the elephant-like creature, fully prepared to strike at it with her scythe. Abu followed up, not quite as fast, his tail ready to strike several times.

Lucas was just as fast with his commands. "Spade, block the Absol's attack with Defense Curl! And Krad, get the Aipom with your own Quick Attack" It was obviously this was going to be a battle full of speed. The Donphan curled up into a ball and when Sarabi hit it, it didn't seem to do a whole lot. The opponent had a tough skin and a normal attack wouldn't do a whole lot of damage. At the same time Grovyle sped toward Abu with his own quick attack.

"Abu, let him hit you and then use pay back, Sarabi, let's try to bite it as hard as you can, go for the ears that are sticking out!" Liliana figured the ears would be his weakest point. Grovyle hit the Aipom with his attack, but the moment he did so Abu took the hit and swung the hand on his tail, now surrouned with dark energy, to deliver a hit right back. Aipom's tail connected with Grovyle's gut.

At the same time Sarabi bit down hard on Donphan's ear and the Pokémon cried out in pain. In response he shook his head blindly. Absol had to cling on to the ear, resulting in her biting down harder in order to not let go.

"Not bad Liliana, but these two can take a beating! Krad, get Aipom with the leaf blade variant, and Spade use rollout to get the Absol off."

"Sarabi, let go, now! Abu watch out!" Liliana quickly called out to her Pokémon. Absol tried to jump off but the large creature had already started rolling. When she let go of the ear she got propelled to the ground and bit the dust hard, but she got up, glaring at the Donphan. At the same time Abu tried to dodge the leaf blade, but the Grovyle was too quick and hit him just as he tried to jump away, resulting in a bad hit.

"You're not doing too bad yourself, but don't underestimate these two. Abu I want you to hit it with a fire punch, Sarabi pursuit the Donphan!" Absol ran after the rolling elephant with a dark aura behind her, she ran as fast as she can to try and hit it from behind. At the same time Abu's tail caught flame and he swung it as hard as he could in Grovyle's direction. Lucas' next move came by surprise however.

"Spade, stop where you are, that should get the Absol good! Krad counter that fire punch with your blade again!" Spade instantly stopped rolling and Sarabi, who hand't counted on this, collided with him. On the other side Abu lifted his tail to meet the Grovyle's leaf blade. The moment the two of them met Grovyle's blade caught on fire, spreading to the rest of him. The fire slowly faded, but not before doing some serious damage. Lili even hoped for a burn.

"Looks like we're about even now!" Liliana called over to Lucas with a grin before turning back to the field. "Sarabi get up and get Donphan with a razor wind! Abu, go for another fire punch!" Lucas wasn't going for that idea however.

"Spade, turn around and get the Absol with a takedown. Krad use quick attack on Absol also!" Sarabi let out a low growl as the wind around her increased and the wind all led to one swirl around her scythe. At the same time Abu leaped for Grovyle once more, and missed by a few millimeters. Donphan turned around to face Sarabi, but he wasn't fast enough and as soon as he had faced her Sarabi released her attack. Strong wind with glowing blades shot toward Donphan. Sarabi only just noticed that the Grovyle was in it for her, but as soon as she turned around the opponent had tackled her in the side and shot her some meters away. She landed hard but made a show out of standing up just as quickly. She was tired but pride refused her to let it show.

"Spade, get up and try a rollout on the Aipom. Krad, screech on Absol!" these were the commands of the opponent and Liliana was fully prepared to counter them with her own. "Sarabi, hurry and get away from the Grovyle!" She remembered what Abu's screech had done to her. "Abu dod—" Too late. Donphan collided with Abu hard, launching him back painfully. The monkey wasn't as graceful and proud as Sarabi was, and it took more difficulty getting up. Abu was left panting and tired.

In the meantime Sarabi had quickly and gracefully leaped away from Grovyle as he outed a horrible screech. As soon as he noticed that Sarabi was out of range stopped quickly. "Spade just keep rolling, hit that Aipom again! Krad u—" The Grovyle called Krad had not allowed him to finish however, and jumped into a quick attack at Sarabi. The two did not like each other at all. Donphan rolled at alarming speed toward Abu.

Suddenly a strange feeling came over Liliana. She couldn't stop it or help it, it was just there, and she knew what to do. "Sarabi use pursuit." Her voice sounded different to her, but she didn't really care. Sarabi seemed to pick up exactly how she was feeling. Her body stiffened a bit as she leaped into an angry pursuit, dark energy coming from all around her. Her scythe connected to the Grovyle's gut and she tossed it far away. It seemed the scythe had left an angry gash, blood escaped from it, and the moment the Grovyle landed it was clear it couldn't go on fighting.

Lucas seemed to be having troubles controlling himself. He send a glare at Liliana and recalled his Grovyle. It was obvious that the attack had bothered him immensely. In the meantime Spade collided with Abu, who had been trying to get away. Abu collapsed also and Liliana called him back without a word. She still had that feeling that she knew exactly what she had to do.

"Sarabi get the Donphan with a quick attack, use your scythe!" Once again her voice didn't quite sound like hers, but it didn't bother her. Lucas looked paralyzed while watching what was unfolding. He didn't tell Donphan to do anything, just watched. Sarabi ran alongside Donphan, aiming for his sides with her scythe. She managed to slash him, causing Donphan to lose balance and collide with the wall beside him.

"Spade, return," Lucas said this very quietly before turning his anger on Liliana.

Lili suddenly felt like herself again, and at the same time she felt like crying. What the hell had happened?! Sarabi seemed calmer too. She looked at Lili with those all-knowing eyes, this time they carried a regretful look. Like she had seen this coming, but hadn't wanted it to come. With a sigh Lili called her back into her ball and turned to face a furious Lucas.

"Hey, I guess I won," She said this trying to remain cheerful. To act as if she had it all under control, as if what she did was normal. Humane. Lucas walked right up to her and stared her in the eyes. She felt like flinching, but her pride made her keep her gaze steady as she looked right back. His voice shook a bit with anger as he addressed her. "You need to control yourself better than that. I'll get you for this." It was quiet, even a whisper, but the meaning was loud and clear.

Liliana collapsed against the wall as soon as he was gone. What had she done? It was all a little vague in her mind. All she remembered was the clear feeling of knowing what to do, knowing exactly what to say and when. And oh my god! she thought, what have I done to Abu?! She would apologize to him as soon as she had patched him up. If this had anything to do with that Cloaked Man she would… she would… What would she do? What could she possibly do against him. Right… Nothing.

She settled for walking around. She had heard about the famous underground and she wanted to take a look there. Find out what it was all about. Just outside of the entrance, however, something unexpected happened. Someone walked right into her.

She lost her balance and fell on the ground, the guy fell on top of her. She was prepared to yell at him when she registered who it was. She quickly controlled her temper. He seemed to notice too, however, and almost did a backward summersault to get off of her. Oh boys… she thought with a roll of her eyes.

"Eehm…Hey… Sahib.." She couldn't say he was the person she really wanted to see. Not right now with everything going on.

"Sorry about that," he apologized. "It's just… I ran into this very… interesting guy." He held out his hand to help her. For a moment she was very temped to not take it and just get up on her own. But just because this day had been the worst did not mean that she had to be rude to Sahib. What had he ever done to her? So she took his hand and got up with his help. She muttered a thanks.

"so this guy would have to be very… interesting.. then, huh?" It was the only thing she knew to say. This conversation was not going the right way. It was awkward and hesitant and just not a nice conversation.

"Yeah, very, with leather pants and everything." He shoved his hands in his pockets. On a normal day she would have laughed at this, Sahib probably would have at least grinned. But not today. He wasn't done talking though. "So, what've you been up to?"

What had she been up to. Weeeeell. She ran into this cloaked man who asked her to join this dark brotherhood. She accepted, then battle this guy apparently called Johannes whose Steelix she had tried to beat before. She won and then got put back by Goldenrod where she had to defend herself from a pack of evil Tauros' and got reunited with someone who she really didn't want to be reunited with. Then she got told that the man who she joined with and who promised not to kill a certain somebody had, in fact, killed this somebody. She then got put into a weird slashed dream by the same cloaked dude, had to fight herself for a sister who had been afraid of her. Didn't even get the satisfactory of punching the guy for that hypnosis stunt. And then she brutally finished this random guy's Pokémon. Her life had been F*****g dandy.

Instead of all this she said "Not all too much." Great how that worked, huh? "I've been trying to train a bit, Got a new addition to my team and such, how about you?" Except she was a terrible liar. Sahib, naturally, caught on to that fast.

"I got a new Pokémon as well," okay maybe not that fast. But Sahib did catch on. "You know, wearing your emotions on your face and then trying to cover them up won't work with me. So.. did something happen?" She bit her lip, crap! Why did he have to find out? Liliana couldn't really feed him the real story, but she couldn't lie either. So she gave him a different truth instead.

"It's nothing really.. There's just this guy that has been really annoying me." She wasn't sure if she was talking about Lucas or Tristan. Either of them would work, they both annoyed her greatly. Well she was more freaked out than annoyed over Lucas, but still. Hearing this Sahib frowned a bit and she couldn't help but wonder if he thought she meant him.

"Well maybe you should kick has ass. That'd probably make you feel better." She tried to laugh at Sahib's feeble joke, but it came out quire sheepishly. Well at least he tried to cheer her up, that had to be said. It was nice of him.

"Already tried, doesn't work very well. Seems that doesn't make him any less annoying." This worked to both of them as well. Lili couldn't help but think about the time she kicked Tristan's ass against the Spiritomb. Sahib seemed a bit relieved about his comment.

"So…I tried to battle Whitney today, but I guess something happened to her Pokémon," Sahib commented. "They said they were really hurt. That'd be terrible, to see your Pokémon like that" It seemed something was definitely bothering him. This time it was Lili's turn to dig deeper.

"There's something bothering you, what is it?" She sounded demanding and a bit too forward, but she just wanted to know this. Sahib seemed to think of what to do for a second, but he eventually decided to confide in her.

"Aerodactyl went…a little too far. And I let it. He snapped an Umbreon's spine and I let him," He muttered this and generally seemed to be very worked up over this. It still didn't feel like the whole truth, but it was enough truth for Lili. She knew exactly what he was feeling.

She adopted a gentle tone."That's terrible, but it's not your fault. You shouldn't blame yourself for this, even if you did let it…" Lili paused thinking of what to say. "Well, there must have been a reason. Whatever you are thinking, Sahib, you are not evil." And she should know, right? "Whatever happened, it happened. There's nothing you can do about it and it will do you no good to sulk about it."

She said this, not only for Sahib's sake, but also for hers. Sahib walked right up to her now, looking down at her and placing his hand on her shoulder. Once again she cursed his freakishly tallness. She had to look up to look him in the eyes. He then walked by again, only muttering a few words. "Then maybe, no one's truly evil." Liliana was stunned, she hadn't been expecting this. She looked at him until he walked around a corner and she couldn't see him no more. Any desires to go to the underground were lost.

Instead Liliana went to sit in another park, against a big tree. Not at all ready for the next bad thing to happen today. This simply wasn't a good day. "Hey." She nearly jumped up. There, leaning against the same trunk suddenly, was Tristan. Her stalker. This was exactly what she said.

"Would you stop doing that?! And what are you, a stalker or something? Leave me alone." He wasn't up for that however.

"I don't stalk you, well not a lot anyway," Tristan chuckled at his own joke before continuing. "Believe it or not, I want to apologize for yesterday. Just because Johannes made a mistake doesn't mean you made one too."

"Johannes?" She inclined, prepared to let the stalking comment go if he'd tell her about this. Which he did.

"Johannes.. He made a mistake. He joined the wrong group, you know? For him at least, I'm not saying the Brotherhood's the wrong group, it's fine for me. But he's not up for everything Shaun wants him to do. He does it, but he doesn't like it. A true gentle soul you know." Liliana could see that Tristan looked up to Johannes to a certain extend. He seemed to like this man. She, herself, remembered his gentle expression and worry after she had joined. "But, you see. Once you're in, you can't get out. I wanted to make sure you don't make the same mistake he did." She stiffened again. Why would he have to make sure she did anything?!

"Well, I didn't. I'm perfectly fine the way things are. Now please leave, you're company is hardly wanted." He snickered at this comment.

"Then whose company would you like? I heard tall dark and not-so-handsome is still open." Tristan sounded like he didn't like him at all. Jealous? Lili wondered amused. She knew, of course, that he meant Sahib. Who else was freakishly tall and dark. No comment on the not-so-handsome.

"No, I prefer to be alone, thank you."

"Does that mean he's not with you. Cause if the position's still open.." He laughed again and she jumped up furiously. She grabbed a stick and threw it at him with all of her strength, which wasn't a lot. No wonder he blocked it effortlessly.

"Not to you it isn't!" With this she stalked away, wanting the end of this day so badly. It had just been a crappy day. A very crappy day. The thing with Lucas and Sahib. And Tristan. Why did guys have to be such jerks?!

"Yaawn, what time is it? Krad? Damn, guess I'll get up now…", Lucas sighed, sitting up on his bed. Rolling onto the floor, Lucas pulled himself up, and pulled his shirt on. "Come on, Krad. We should get to the gym right away and get our badge", Lucas yawned again, and quickly exited the room with Krad. As he made his way to the front door, Lucas noticed that Cairne's grandfather and Grecko were greeting everyone. He didn't pay much mind to them however, and walked right out the door, muttering a sleepy "goodbye" before closing the door.

The walk to the gym went by uneventfully, other then a brief fight with Krad over the last Twix bar. When the duo got to the gym entrance, there was a man standing at the entrance, seemingly guarding it.

"Err, excuse me? Is the gym closed right now?", Lucas said hesitantly.

The man stares at him briefly, before saying, "I am sorry, but it is currently unsafe for Whitney to have any battles at the moment. She is checking on her pokemon that were badly injured earlier today, and is making some substitutions. You will have to come back later on", Lucas nodded, then turned to walk off. Her pokemon were badly injured earlier? Maybe I was too late getting to her. But wait, she's not dead, so maybe not…

"Hey, you! Aren't you that guy from yesterday? Luke.. Something?", Lucas whipped around, the voice belonged to a small girl. Lucas sighed, before looking her in the eye.

"Yeah, Lucas. You were one of the people from yesterday, right?", he couldn't keep staring at her, and looked away before he started laughing.

"Looks like the gym is closed, huh?", the girl said, "So, how did you get yourself tangled in all this anyway?", she asked, looking him in the eye, she seemed to be trying to figure him out. Taking a deep breathe, Lucas shifted his eyes back to hers, attempting to be serious.

"Oh, nothing special. I was just wandering in the forest looking for Bugsy. Guess the cloaked guy thought I was one of you guys. Then I ran into Elm yesterday, and…somehow I ended up in this group. It's a bit strange, eh?", Lucas sighed again, still not breaking eye contact. The girl smiled a bit for a reason that was beyond Lucas's ability to comprehend.

"Yeah…Strange…", she said slowly. Her tone suggested that she wasn't all enthused to hear his response, but before he could contemplate further on her tone, she spoke again. "Well, since you're here for a fight why should you not get one? Up for a double?"

Lucas grinned a bit, happy the topic had been changed. Looking down to Krad, then back up to the girl, he nodded. "But first, I'd like to have a name to call you, deal?", Krad started stretching. Seemed like the Grovyle knew he would be fighting.

"Fair enough I guess, I'm Liliana", the girl now known as Liliana said. Not a minute later, and she released two pokemon. A small purple monkey, Aipom, Lucas remembered it was called, and the other was a strange one; white fur with a pink tinge to it, rested on top of reddish skin, with crazy green eyes. Lucas looked at the unknown pokemon briefly, amused. Then, he motioned for Krad to join the other two pokemon, while he sent Spade to join Krad and the other two. Then, as he waited for Liliana to make the first move, he took the opportunity to scan her other pokemon. Absol, Lucas learned it was called. Shutting his pokedex, Lucas closed his eyes for a second or two, making sure to clear all distractions from his head. This battle would be a good one, Lucas knew.

"Sarabi, start with a Quick Attack on the Donphan. Abu I want you to follow up with a Fury Attack also on the Donphan", Liliana started. The Absol jumped towards Spade with awesome speed, while the Aipom followed, tail at the ready.

"Spade, block the Absol's attack with Defense Curl! And Krad, get the Aipom with your own Quick Attack", Lucas called swiftly. With the fast moving pokemon of hers, Lucas needed his orders to be just as fast. Spade scrunched up as best he could, with the end result being toughened skin, the Absol wouldn't be able to do as much damage now, at least. Meanwhile Krad sped away from Spade, and quickly closed in on the Aipom. Lucas hoped her Aipom wouldn't be able to do too much to avoid Krad.

"Abu, let him hit you and then use Payback, Sarabi, let's try to Bite it as hard as you can, go for the ears that are sticking out!", the girl ordered. Lucas was a bit surprised to hear her tell the Aipom to get hit, but it seemed effective. As Krad connected with the Aipom, it's fist gathered dark energy, and struck Krad with a fierce punch to the gut, while the Absol recoiled a bit from the ineffective attack on Spade's tough skin, then sprang right back, biting into the Donphan's ear. Spade cried out in pain, and swung his head blindly, attempting to remove the Absol from his ear.

"Not bad Liliana, but these two can take a beating! Krad, get the Aipom with the Leaf Blade variant, and Spade use Roll Out to get Absol off!", Lucas called, determined not to let the bad start get to him.

"Sarabi, let go, now! Abu watch out!", Liliana called quickly. Lucas watched as Spade started rolling, with the Absol still attached. It was a rather funny sight, but Lucas kept that to himself. Soon enough, Absol had gotten propelled to the ground, although quickly got up, glaring at the still rolling Spade. While Spade met with success against the Absol, Krad met with similar success against the Aipom, who tried in vain to jump away from the incoming blade, getting slashed in just such a way that the monkey tumbled to the ground a good distance away.

"You're not doing so bad yourself, but don't underestimate these two. Abu, I want you to hit it with a Fire Punch, Sarabi Pursuit the Donphan!", Lucas bowed his head slightly at the compliment, and watched as the Absol ran after Spade with that same speed that had amazed him earlier, while the Aipom ran towards Krad, fist aflame.

After recovering from his initial shock at seeing her Aipom's tail catch on fire, Lucas called, "Spade, stop right where you are, that should get that Absol good! And Krad, counter that Fire Punch with your blade again!", Lucas watched as Spade came to a halt, and grinned a bit as the Absol collided with Spade's backside, just as Lucas intended. However, things did not go as planned on the other end. While Krad may have had a possibly stronger attack, there was simply no way a blade made from grass could hope to be any counter for a fire attack, and the blade quickly caught on fire. Krad dropped it quickly, but not quick enough, as the fire had reached his hands just before letting go. Lucas cringed with Krad as the fire slowly faded from his hands.

"Looks like we're just about even now! Sarabi, get up and get that Donphan with your Razor Wind! Abu, go for another Fire Punch", Liliana ordered.

"Spade, turn around and get the Absol with Take Down! Krad, use Quick Attack on Absol also!", Lucas ordered quickly. The Absol growled a bit, as swirling winds gathered on the scythe on it's head, while the Aipom ran towards Krad with it's fist on fire again, while Spade turned around to face the Absol once again, although not fast enough, and was pummeled by Razor Wind. Krad, meanwhile shot towards Liliana's Absol, narrowly evading the monkey's Fire Punch, and tackling straight into the Absol's side, who had no chance to move right after the attack on Spade. The Absol flew a few yards away from it's attacker, although quickly got back up.

"Spade, get back up, and try a Rollout on the Aipom! Krad, Screech at Absol!", Lucas ordered.

"Sarabi, hurry and get away from the Grovyle! Abu dod--", Liliana attempted to get her Aipom away from the incoming Donphan, however, Spade had already collided with her monkey before she could finish her sentence. Absol, however, had better success, leaping away from Krad, and outside the range of Screech. Krad quickly stopped Screeching, and scowled at the Absol. Her Aipom, wasn't nearly so lively as the Absol was however, and struggled to remain standing.

"Spade, just keep rolling, hit that Aipom again! Krad u--", Lucas called, attempting to give his orders. However, Krad cut him off as he was being given orders, and lashed out at the Absol with Quick Attack. Spade kept rolling, and after turning around, came barreling back towards the tired Aipom.

"Sarabi. Use Pursuit", Liliana called, her voice seemed a bit different to Lucas, almost like she had a personality change instantaneously. Lucas figured this wasn't the case, but something seemed off. And, strangely, she hadn't made any orders for her Aipom to dodge. It was odd.

And, just as it seemed Liliana had a personality shift, so too, did the Absol, gathering dark energy around the scythe on it's head as it ran towards Krad, hooking the scythe in his gut, then tossing the stunned Grovyle far away, out cold, blood trickling from the gash the Absol had made. What the?! That was brutal! What's up with that? I'll get her for that! Lucas glared at Liliana, before calming himself, and recalling Krad. Spade, meanwhile had smashed into Aipom, knocking it out cold as well. Liliana returned Aipom without a word. Her attitude change had begun to freak Lucas out.

"Sarabi, get Donphan with Quick Attack, and use your scythe!", Liliana ordered. Lucas was far too stunned by her brutality to make a command, and could only watch as the Absol ran alongside Spade, before slashing at his sides with the scythe, causing Spade to lose balance, and tumble into a wall nearby, luckily the wall held strong, and nothing fell on the injured Donphan.

"Spade, return!", Lucas said quietly, though angrily. Liliana recalled her Absol, then looked up towards Lucas.

"Hey, I guess I won!", her personality seemed to be back to normal. Lucas didn't care too much though, and walked right up to her, staring down at her angrily.

"You need to control yourself better then that. I'll get you back for this", Lucas said quietly, whispering the last part; it was apparent he was seething with anger.

For a while, Lucas lost himself in his thoughts, before snapping back to reality, realizing that he had walked right back to Bill's house. Hmph, Bill had better have a way to heal my pokemon...

Opening the door, Lucas was greeted with the sight of Bill relaxing on a nearby couch, watching a show on the tv. Bill started to speak, but the look Lucas wore on his face caused him to stop.

"Bill, I need you to help me heal my pokemon", Lucas said quietly, releasing his two injured pokemon onto the ground in front of him. Kneeling down to check on the two, Lucas was relieved that the bleeding had stopped on Krad, and Spade's slashed side hadn't cut so deep, with little to no blood.

"What happened to them? I'll get some things right away!", Bill asked with shock, before disappearing into another room, then reappearing with a jumble of things in his arms.

"Well, let's see...Here's some disinfectant for the cuts, and a few potions... and a bandage or two, that should be enough", Bill said, sorting through the various things he had set on the floor beside the pokemon. "Here, you should do it Lucas", Bill handed the items he had selected to Lucas.

Lucas was at a loss, he hadn't ever had to treat his pokemon like this before, but with the Pokemon Center destroyed, it looked like it was the only option at the moment. "Err, I haven't done this before, would you mind helping?", Lucas sighed, giving in to his better judgment. Bill nodded and quickly set about giving Lucas the pointers, and had him practice a few times, then had Lucas watch as Bill treated the pokemon. It turned out he was quite practiced in treating pokemon like this, and Lucas watched intently, so that next time something happened like this, he would be able to do it on his own. Without help.

And as the next half hour creeped by, Lucas could think of nothing but how he was going to pay back the girl, Liliana. I've got nothing for now, but I'm sure Krad will have something in mind next time, I'll leave it up to him then... Lucas became aware that Bill had finished, and was lightly tapping him on the shoulder, attempting to grab his attention.

"Oh, sorry. Thanks for your help Bill", Lucas told Bill quickly, then turned to his pokemon, "Are you two alright now?"

Spade nodded eagerly, while Krad blinked once, he wasn't completely healed yet. His injury would require more time to completely heal. Damn that girl!

Lucas stood abruptly, and after recalling Spade, left the house quickly with Krad, waving to Bill as he left.

"Krad, I hope you don't mind staying out with me, but it'll be better to stay out. You grass types heal faster in the sun anyways", Lucas explained. Krad nodded slowly. "Anyways, I think it'd be good to get our minds off of that girl. Why don't we check if Whitney is available now?", Krad nodded again, while rubbing the area where he had been cut, Lucas could tell that the sun was already helping the injury.

"Now, let's see... Whitney uses Normal type pokemon, I believe. We don't have anything that'll be good against her, but we also won't have anything bad against her. So, how's this? We'll take our time getting there, so you can get as much healing as possible done, then we'll see if you're up for a battle?", Lucas proposed. Krad seemed to ponder for a moment, then gave a nod, followed by a grin. Looks like he's feeling much better already, at this rate we might not even need to take our time...

Once arriving at the entrance to the gym, Lucas noticed a distinct lack of anyone/anything particularly guard-like in nature, so it could be assumed that Whitney was once again taking challengers. Lucas grinned at Krad, before opening the door, entering the gym.

Snoopy was the first to awake, he shook his head and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, yawning loudly and licking his chops, looking much like the bulldog he was. "Grraaa" he mumbled sitting up and stretching like a cat. "Bleye?" Snoopy glanced over at Stitch, who was sitting up, scratching her cheek groggily, yawning and nodding slightly at Snoopy, the two exchanged words briefly before Snoopy ambled over to the bed, while Stitch began to gather Kaitlyn's things.

Kaitlyn was having a wonderful dream. She was kicking Shaun's ass for all it was worth and just when she was about to deliver the finishing blow. It had gotten cold, like freezing cold. Kaitlyn's eyes snapped open and she fell off the bed in surprise, Snoopy's face obscuring her vision "Bull?" he peered over the bed and looked down on Kaitlyn, an apologetic grin sweeping across his face.

He'd used Ice Fang and gently bit her arm, she shivered feeling Goosebumps trail along them "You know, you could've shook me or something" she mumbled rubbing at her arm to produce warmth, she sighed before standing, making her way over to the bathroom, taking her clothes from Stitch "I'll be out in about 10 minutes, wake up lazy bums one and two, if I can't sleep than neither can they" she grinned wickedly before shutting the door behind her, giggling when she heard Sho and Hunter's screams and Stitch's snickers, the Ghost had probably woke them up.

Exactly 10 minutes later, Kaitlyn stepped out the bathroom, looking refreshed, decked out in her normal outfit, she told herself that she would stop by a store eventually go buy some new clothes, but not today, her face morphed into an angry scowl, while she was pulling on her pants she noticed the letter that was in her pocket had fallen out, her eyes had quickly scanned over the scrawl and her temper flared.

She recalled all her Pokémon except Snoopy, she had felt bad for neglecting him in favor of Sho and she'd have to make it up to Stitch as well, re reading the letter again, Kaitlyn stalked out of the room, Snoopy a few paces behind her, her aura was angry and the Granbull knew better than most to steer clear of a pissed Kaitlyn, she stalked past Grecko and Gage, the former wondering what was her problem when she didn't even acknowledge their presence and Gage responded sagely, knowing far to well when a girl like Kaitlyn got like this, the young woman was like a miniature Angela, only worse "Grecko my friend, an age old rule that we as men must follow" he placed a hand on his shoulder "Never cross the path of an angered woman, many men have tried, but very little have survived" Grecko just blinked before nodding and walking away, but not before he mumbled "Man, Angela sure has him whipped! Ouch! Dammit Gage! Tell your Alakazam to stop using Psychic in the house!"

Gage just snickered and pretended he didn't hear Grecko as Spoon's attacked the man with the kitchen utensils, spoons mostly, nothing sharp and pointy. Smiling knowingly Gage glanced at Kaitlyn's fuming and retreating form before heading towards the kitchen "Don't get in too over your head boy." He mentally sighed before a smirk appeared on his features and he headed towards the kitchen.

"I can't enter! What do you mean I can't enter!?"

"I am sorry ma'am, but it is currently unsafe for Whitney to have any battles at the moment. She is checking on her Pokémon that were badly injured earlier today, and is making some substitutions. You will have to come back later on."

"I see. . ." Grumbling and fisting her hands by her side, Kaitlyn whirled around and walked off, Snoopy at her side as she headed towards Route 34, she supposed she could take her anger out on Cairne instead. Upon reaching Route 34, Kaitlyn saw Cairne leaning against a tree acting all cool, she dug into her pocket and pulled out the note, storming over to Cairne, with Snoopy by her side "You sure as hell got some nerve Taveres!" Cairne opened his eyes and glanced at the crumpled note in her hand

"Hi there Kaitlyn..." he yawned "I outta kick your ass..." she scowled looking down at him. "Well that's not very gentlemanly of you!" he teased standing up and grinning.

"You bastard!" She clenched her fist shut on the note. "I'll kill you!" Kaitlyn swung at him with her fist and Cairne held out his hand and caught her fist before it could make contact, his hand dwarfed hers in size and she just looked up to him in disbelief, before scowling.

"I have a little proposition for you," Cairne said. "Let's have a two on two battle, if you win you can beat me as senseless as you wish." He said grinning down on the girl.

"And what if you win?" She asked as Cairne released her fist.

"If I win then you have to spend the whole day with me and let me explain myself." He said still grinning.

Kaitlyn frowned thoughtfully ". . . Fine!" Was all she said before pulling out two Pokéballs. "Come on Sho and Hunter!" Kaitlyn tossed the two balls up into the air and with a flash of light, Sho and Hunter appeared. "Lets go Omen, let's go Slash!" Cairne said tossing out the balls containing an Absol and a Kabuto.

"Let's start with a combo! Hunter use Water Gun and Sho use Thundershock!" Her Pokemon shot an electrically powered stream of water directly at Omen.

"Omen use Razor Wind!" Cairne yelled and his Pokemon split stream in half sending the way away from himself. "Slash you use Mud Shot on the Pikachu and Omen use bite on the Croconaw!"

"Sho use Thundershock and Hunter you use bite as well!" The Pikachu shot a blast of electricity from its cheek at the ball of mud but it had no effect and it was slammed back. Her Croconaw was much more successful on the other hand, as Omen clamped his jaw shut on one of its legs the Croconaw bit into its left shoulder.

"Omen use Razor Wind to break free and Slash follow it up with Scratch!" Omen shot a blast of wind from his head knocking Hunter off of his shoulder while Slash jumped forward to scratch Sho.

"Switch targets guys, Hunter use Ice Fang on the Kabuto and Pikachu use Slam on the Absol!" Kaitlyn told her Pokemon.

"Dodge you two!" Cairne yelled. Omen made it out just in time to not get whacked with Sho's tail but Croconaw caught Slash in its jaws and began shaking its head back and forth like a rabid dog. "Absorb attack Slash!" Cairne yelled and his Pokemon latched onto Hunters face and began sucking energy from its body.

"Sho! Knock the Kabuto off with a Thundershock and be careful!" Kaitlyn commanded and Sho shot a small blast of electricity at Slash knocking it to the ground while slightly damaging Hunter.

"Omen use Scratch on Pikachu!" Cairne yelled and Omen, although injured leaped upward and brought its claws down on the Pikachu's head. "Quick Hunter! Dragon Claw!" wincing the Croconaw shot to his feet, but swiftly met Omen head on, claw for claw, Scratch against Dragon Claw, it was obvious who was going to win, but in the end Omen managed to pull through, knocking Hunter aside and lunging at Sho. Omen dug his claws into the small yellow mouse and sent it down to the ground.

"Get up and use Slam Sho!" Kai pointed at Kabuto who received a hard tackle knocking him into the tree and knocking him out. "Hunter use Dragon Claw!" She commanded pointing at Omen.

"Quick Attack on Sho Omen!" Cairne commanded. Omen dashed away from the claws and blindsided Sho knocking him into the nearby pond.

"Hunter use Water Gun!" Kai yelled and her Pokemon shot a giant burst of water from its mouth at Omen.

"Omen use Razor Wind and Quick Attack!" Cairne yelled and his Pokemon slashed the water in half. He ran up the split in the stream and slammed Hunter in the chest.

"Come on Hunter, get back up and fight!" Hunter struggled to stand to its feet andespite Kai's cheering the Pokemon just didn't have the will to stand back up. What a lucky shot.... Cairne thought to himself. He had completely underestimated Kai's Pokemon and if it hadn't been for that last attack Omen would have surely been defeated.

"You got lucky Cairne..." Kai grumbled returning her Pokemon.

"Maybe I'm just better than you!" Cairne said sticking out his tongue.

"Yeah in your dreams ass wipe!" She yelled at him.

"You still haven't taken care of that Potty mouth of yours have you?" Cairne said in a mocking tone.

"Shut up...." She said plopping down next to the pond. "So what exactly do you want to talk about?" She asked tossing a stone out onto the water and watching it skip.

"Well... First of all I wanted to tell you... I'm sorry for everything I did to you Kaitlyn... I should have never left you behind and because of that I do deserve a beating...." Cairne apologized.

"You deserve more than that, but I'm being nice today. . ." She said tossing another stone out on the water.

"Do you remember that time by the lake back home when James was bullying me again?" Cairne asked her while searching for a nice flat rock.

"Yeah, Rafe scared him off didn't he? We were lucky he did otherwise James would have seriously hurt you." She watched the ripples in the pond.

"Well... That was really like the last straw for me... When I saw him slap you I got so pissed off... I just wanted to hurt him... Make him feel as much pain as possible... But I was so weak and helpless... There was nothing I could do. I was done being weak, done being treated like a loser and sick of seeing the people I cared about get hurt." He tossed a rock hard into the water but instead of skipping it made a giant splash in the water.

"So what? You decide to up and abandon me!? I get you wanted to be like the chivalrous knight and protect me and play hero and stuff, but how were you going to do that by leaving me there?" She asked while skipping a stone clear to the other side.

"My grandparents... Both of them were champions on their own right Kai... They could teach me how to be strong and independent and back then that's what I thought I needed..." He sighed and scratched his cheek. "I realize now how wrong I was..."

"Yeah Cairne you made huge mistake... I was so mad when you left... I was even sad for a while...." Her anger slowly fading away, Kaitlyn looked away, breaking eye contact with Cairne.

"YOU! FEELING REAL HUMAN EMOTION? BLASPHEMY!" Cairne said making his attempt at a joke.

"Shut up...dumbass" She grumbled suppressing a snicker "You really hurt me Cairne... You were my closest friend... If it weren't for my brothers and my mom I would've gone insane I swear..."

"I'm sorry Kai... I really am..." He threw a stone out on the pond and it skipped clear to the other side.

For what felt like forever there was complete silence until Cairne broke the ice.

"You know what Kai?" Cairne said with a smile on his face.

"What?" She said feeling around for a rock.

"Way back when we were kids I used to have a huge crush on you..." He laughed ad began searching for a rock of his own.

"Really? I never noticed." She mumbled giving him a flat stare

"Yeah well I was under a lot of damn pressure. . . That's why I never asked you out." He said trying really hard not to blush.

"Yeah, well I was obviously being flocked by tons of boy's at the time you loser. . . If you grew some balls, You could've asked me already." She chuckled at him.

"Whatever..." Cairne said.

"I mean if you asked me out now I might even say yes." She looked at him smiling mischievously.

"Really!?" Cairne said excitedly

"No not really, I mean I just barely stopped hating you!" She smirked.

"....*****." Cairne said under his breath looking down.

The two talked for hours straight through the afternoon until the sun began to set.

"So give me a real reason you refuse to go out with me, that's a total bull excuse and you know it." Cairne laughed feeling around for a rock.

"Pfft... If you must know I have more options than you that I am considering..." She started feeling around for a rock too.

"What you mean that midget Zack kid? Oh yeah hes a real sexy beast! And his personality is a winner too..." Cairne laughed

"Hey, don't talk about Zack like that! He's a bit of a jerk, but he seems to have more of a personality than you!" She pointed out.

"Ooh burn! That's harsh man... Real low blow." Cairne responded.

Cairne continued aimlessly searching for a rock until he spotted one. As he reached out to grab it and noticed Kaitlyn's hand was already reaching out for it. The two grasped the stone at the same time and began pulling at it as hard as they could.

"Mine!" Cairne said laughing and pulling.

"No..." Kaitlyn said as Cairne pulled as hard as he could pulling Kaitlyn on top of him, both their eyes wide "...Mine" She whispered looking into his eyes and finishing what she was going to say. Their faces were maybe two inches apart and Kaitlyn froze when Cairne leaned in close, touching his lips to hers in a soft kiss. She was surprised at herself, when she found out she was kissing him back, but she quickly snapped out of it and sat up, pushing away from him.

"Whoa. . ." She stood up swiftly and brushed herself off, her cheeks stained with a light red. "I. . . I have to go" She mumbled and began to walk off. "Oh and guess what," She said showing Cairne her hand and inside of it was the stone the two were fighting over. "MINE!" She tossed it out onto the water and it skipped clear across.

Once out of eye and ear shot, Kaitlyn slumped against a tree, placing a hand over her heat and her fingers brushed against her lips "Oh my god, we did not just do what I think we did. . ." Kaitlyn's face burned as the kiss replayed in her mind "I. . . I just kissed Cairne" she whirled around and punched the tree she was leaning against out of anger and confusion, causing it to topple over, due to the brute force delivered "What was that idiot thinking!" she growled to herself "He'd better not be expecting me to become committed or something like that. . . I'll wring his neck if he does" she huffed a walked away from the fallen tree, Snoopy trailing behind her.

It wasn't until they were half-way back to Bill's house and it had gotten dark, did she realize she never recalled Sho and the mouse was still on Route 34. They turned back and ran to look for him, but found the mouse shivering as he leaned against a tree in support, he was too weak to generate a spark and Kaitlyn fussed and cooed over the mouse like a baby, wrapping him up in blankets when they made it back to Bill's house, but Sho knew how to hold a grudge and he didn't talk to her at all through the night or into the next morning.
"Aww Sho's mad at me" Kaitlyn wined and Snoopy gave her a sympathetic pat on the back, while said Pikachu glowered at her.

Chapter 2 part 3 - Chukapis Revamped!

"WAAHH!" Scythe sits up in his bed and extends his arms as he yawns. "What a horrible sleep." Scythe thinks to himself as he notices everyone else is waking up to.

One by one the dex holders exit the room and go outside of Bill's house. "Hey Scythe come here." Grecko waves over the boy. Once again Grecko is leaning on a wall, this time it's the wall of Bill's house. "Hey Grecko what's up?" Scythe asks.

"Nothing really I just wanted to wish you luck with your gym battle today, that's all." The elder trainer speaks as he continues to lean on the wall. Scythe's face brightens with joy as he responds, "Ha hey thanks Grecko, but I'm not going for my battle right this second."

Grecko seems puzzled by this statement as he questions, "What do you mean by that?" "I'm meeting my father here for training today…I figured if were gonna stop the black cloaked man, than I need to be stronger…and my dad is the strongest trainer I know besides you." Scythe tells Grecko.

"Hmmp is that so…well good luck with your training then to." Grecko says as he walks back into Bill's house. "Thanks!!" Scythe shouts back as he walks off to find his dad.

"Let's see my dad called me yesterday saying that he would be somewhere near the big department store." Scythe talks out loud to himself as he pulls up to the massive building. "I don't see him anywhere…" The impatient Scythe than says as he looks around.

"Son turn around." A man speaks from behind. "DAD!" Scythe screams out as he turns around to see his father. "Haha ya it's me son." The dad says as he hugs Scythe.

"You have no idea what I've been through dad!" Scythe exclaims as he and his father walk over to a bench and take a seat. "What have you been through son?" The father asks as he takes a look at the young trainer.

Scythe stops for a second and says, "Maybe it's best you don't know right this second…I don't want you to get involved…" "O I c well ok…but if you change your mind, you know you can always talk to me." The older man states as he stands up.

"Now come with me it's time for your training, and I also have something to show you." He than says as he begins to walk off. "What do you have to show me?" the impatient trainer talks as he follows.

The two walk through Goldenrod City very casually until they reach a narrow opening in between two buildings. "There's nothing here dad?" Scythe ponders. The man takes a look at his son and than presses a switch that appeared out of nowhere.

Within an instant the narrow opening grows bigger and reveals a set of stairs leading down. Scythe gets a curious look on his face before following his father down the steps, with the wall closing behind them.
"What is this place?" Scythe questions as he stares at the huge underground room. "Well it was originally used for team rocket, o so many years ago…but now nobody really knows about it. So when I'm in town I use it to train or to stash things here…which brings me to my little guest." The man says as he walks over and opens a door revealing a smaller room.

"I found it on my way here…it was pretty badly damaged, and so I figured I would heal it up before I let it run wild again." The father tells Scythe as he waves him in.

Scythe's curiosity gets the best of him, until he sees the small yellow mouse laying in the middle of the floor, all bandaged up. "CHUKAPIS!" Scythe roars with excitement as he darts to the side of the pokemon.

"Pi?" the Pikachu's ears prop up as it picks up its head and sees Scythe. "PIKA!" Chukapis happily chants as it jumps into Scythe's arms.

"Chukapis? Son you know this pikachu?" his father stubbornly asks. "Yeah dad…it's my Pikachu" Scythe responds with the happiest face.

"How did it end up outside of Ecurteak City, and why was it so hurt." He questions his son. "I guess I should tell you everything now…" Scythe says as he and Chukpais walk into the bigger room.

One by one Scythe explains the mishaps and adventures he has had thus far, and the look on his father's face is surprised. "I don't know what to say…I never wanted you to know about Seviin, but it never really became a problem while you were home. It only happened that one time while you were at the hospital. I guess everything you have been through with this black cloaked man has let your emotions run wreckless, which could be why Seviin was able to burst free." The father unexpectedly told his son.

"Dad…it's ok…I'll be able to deal with it on my own as time goes by…but we really should do some kind of training…I need to be stronger." Scythe says as he stands up, ready and raring to go.

"Alright but it's going to be hard…you only have a couple hours till your gym battle right?" he questions. "YA!" Scythe yells out.

Scythe's father turns around and gives his son a stern look before saying, "It won't be easy, you and Chukapis will have to push through it."

"Don't worry we can handle anything!" Scythe arguably states as he looks at Chukapis. "PIKA!" the bandaged Pikachu agrees. "Good that's my boy…let's go Electivre!" the man calls out a huge yellow electric pokemon.

"VIRRE VIREEE!" the Electivre exclaims as it slams its fist off its chest, causing huge streams of lighting to flow all over the place. Taken aback by the site, Scythe and Chukapis smiles drop to frowns.

"What's wrong son scared now?" his father questions his confidence. "No! it's just that thing is huge compared to Chukapis." Scythe responds. "Hmmph how can you expect to ever defeat this black cloaked man, if you are always running from bigger opponents." The father overpowers.

"Alright than we can do it!! Chukapis lets go!" Scythe estaticly shouts. "PIKA!" Chukapis confidently roars as it jumps up next to Electivre.

"Electivre use thunderpunch!" Scythe's father commands in a rush. "Chukapis use slam as a defense mechanism!" Scythe screams out after thinking up a plan.

"VIREEEEE!" The Electivre booms as it thrusts it's fist into Chukapis's body.
"PIKAAAAA!" Chukapis cries as it rolls to the side. "Ahh Chukapis are you ok?!?!" Scythe quickly yells out.

"Piii..Kachu!" Chukapis weakly grins as it stands up. "Come on son, you two must be one during battle and you must take as much damage as possible without giving up…that is the key to winning." Scythe's father lectures.

"Chukapis use Thunderbolt!!!" Scythe angrily shouts as Chukapis begins to release a large amount of electricity from it's body.

"VIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIREEEE!!!" The enemy shouts as it absorbs the Pikachu's attack. "No way!" Scythe unhappily shouts as he swings his arms out. "Gonna have to do better than that son…Electivre use Shockwave!" the father counters.

In an instant the Electivre's attack collides into Chukapis once again tossing it off to the side like a rag doll. "Pi…Pi…Ka…" Chukapis struggles to stand up as it falls back down hard on the ground.

"To weak son…that's why your Pikachu was taken away from you so easily, because your both weak." The older trainer blatanly talks to his son.

"No were not weak…" Scythe clinches his fist together as Chukapis finally rises to its feet. "Chukapis use slam once more combined with a thunderbolt!"

"PIKACHUU!!!" Chukapis lets out as it slams it's small body into the stomach of the massive Electivre. "VIIIIIRRREE!" Electivre rips as it stumbles backwards but quickly catches itself.

"Pika?" Chukapis looks worried as it stares up at the face of Electivre. "Chukapis get out of there!!!!" Scythe worriedly cries out. "Electivre use Thunder to finish it!" the older man easily orders.

"PIKA!!!!!" Chukapis screams out in pain as it is crushed by a huge amount of electricity. "Chukapis!!!!" Scythe yells out as Chukapis still body slides across the floor.

"What are you trying to prove dad? That your stronger than me? You could have killed Chukapis!" Scythe rages out as he runs over to his pokemons side.

"I'm just making you stronger son. By overcoming pain you will win almost everytime, but it seems as if your pikachu can't take anymore." His father condemns.

"PI!" Chukapis painfully swallows as it stands up on it's feet once again. Both father and son are taken aback by this site, and that's when Scythes father speaks up.

"Well son it seems that you and your Pikachu are very willfull and for that I'm going to help you out even more."

"How? PIKA?" Both Scythe and Chukapis question. Scythes father than walks over to Chukapis and rubs it under the chin.

"Were simply going to amp up his Electricity, that's all." His father states. "What how?" Scythe questions.

"Electivre come over here" he waves over his pokemon. "All I need Chukapis to do is to hold still and just take what comes at him…can you do that Chukapis?" he questions his sons pokemon.

"PI!" Chukapis agrees confidently. "Good, now Scythe step away…and Electivre use discharge." The man calmly says as Scythe backs away.

A second later the huge Electvire begins pumping huge amounts of voltage into Chuakpis. "PIKAAAAA!!!!!!!!" Chukapis cries out as it continues to absorb more and more of the Electivre's power.

"Just stay calm Chukapis, were almost done." Scythe patiently tells the mouse.

"OK Electivre that's enough." The older man says as he taps the pokemon on the shoulder. "Pi Pi Pi Pi" Chukapis pants as it looks over at Scythe. "Good job buddy." Scythe congratulates it as the rock he found earlier slides out of his pocket.

"Chukapis should have a lot more room to carry electricity now." Scythes father says as he glances over at the stone. "Awesome! Haha Chukapis were gonna own Whitney in our gym battle!" Scythe confidently boast.

"PIKACHU!" Chukapis happily agrees as sparks fly off from his body.

"Hey son…you know what this rock is?" the man asks his son. "No I found it the other day…why what is it?" Scythe responds.

"Basically…this rock will evolve your Chukapis into a Raichu." The man says with a look of surprise.

"NO WAY REALLY?" Scythe shouts out as he looks at the stone. "Yeah and it would really make Chukapis stronger…but it's up to." His father calmly states.

Scythe looks at his father and than glances at Chukapis as he picks up the stone. "Actually dad it's up to Chukapis." Scythe tells the man as he walks over to the Pikachu.

"Chukapis what do you say…do you want to evolve?" Scythe finds it hard to asks this question.

Chukapis stares at the rock, and begins to think.

As Mew flew about the world, birthing her children, the legendary pokemon of the world that regarded her as mother, the universe was formed by that family of myths. Lugia took to the depths of the oceans, creating powerful tides bound to the moon and life in the deepest regions, while Ho-oh flew the skies, carving out the path the sun would take in the following eternity.

When the world was shaped sufficiently, Mew took essences of the universe and created her equal. Celebi blossomed forth from the essence of time-travel.

With humans, came Mewtwo. The emergence of Mewtwo was not unexpected, at the beginning of creation. Because the legendaries knew they had to be prepared for Mewtwo, they held a council and created the Point of Divinity system and molded the Child and Elder gene for humans to bear.

But from this council arose disagreements, and the harmony once known during the time of creation was shattered. Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos began to dislike the ideas of one another, and isolated themselves across Kanto. Lugia and Ho-oh were destined to hate each other, just as the sun chases the moon and eats it whole, the moon will grow again only to be eaten. After a cataclysmic battle, Lugia took to the deepest sea of Johto, and Ho-oh alighted atop the tallest tower in the land, choosing to be revered by the humans.

Mewtwo, even before he was born, had sowed the seeds of hatred.

Mew knew that the Point of Divinity was their only weapon against hate, and so propagated Children and Elders among humans for decades.

If the legendaries couldn't be at peace…

It was cold....more so and usual. Harsh winds whipped up his hair and coiled around his body with no mercy. The floor morphed from a soft, comfortable mattress to a hard and cold surface. He slowly regained his consciousness and moved around his hands, the floor was cold and smooth. It felt like a glass floor, smooth and completely featurless.

His crimson eyes shot open, still vibrant and glowing even in this pitch darkness. He heaved up his upper body to gain a sitting position, he looked around but could see nothing. His eyes widened and he shot up onto his feet when he heard footsteps. He looked around, not so much panicking as he was curious.

"Damion..." Damion's eyes widened when he heard his name called out. As soon as his name was spoken, two spotlights came crashing down onto Damion and another figure. He shielded his eyes from the sudden change in lighting. Once he became accustomed to the bright light, he lowered his arm. He was shocked at what had spoken out his name.

It was a person, one of the Dark Brotherhood by the looks of hit. No, this person felt much more hollow...lonelier even. The figure seemed to have no soul as it inched closer to Damion lifelessly, the most notable feature on the figure was its mask. Its smooth white surface gleamed in the light, the mask had a dull color scheme. It made the figure seem like a hollow shell.

The mask had no openings, so it seemed impossible for the figure to see or even breathe. Where its eyes should be, there are two small black ovals. Above each of the black circles was a gray triangle of some sort. Below the would-be eyes were to gray lines, making the mask seem like it has bags under its eyes. Its small smile was a short, thick black line that curved just a bit to form a small smile. Underneath the smile was a gray line, mimicking the shadow casted by his chin.

Below both of his eyes were two long strips of gray that slid down his cheeks, tears. Damion was shocked, this was all very strange, and had an eerie feeling. He recognized the mask as the Kaonashi Mask, the lonely spirit known as No Face who hides sorrow.

The figure was surrounded by a gray cloak, not black...not white.

"But in between..." The figure spoke out in a humming, lifeless monotone voice. Damion was shocked, in between. It was just about Damion's height, so the boy was looked to face it in its eyes. He couldn't even determine what it was, human-spirit, male-female, young-old. The cloak and mask concealed everything. The figure had finally made his way over to Damion, he was frightened and frozen in place. Just then, another spotlight came crashing down besides them. A man was tied up and sat against the bars of a steel cage. Tattered and bleeding, the man groaned and raised his head.

"Grandpa!" Damion screamed out, his crimson eyes widening. He made a move towards his grandfather only to be pushed back by the figure. Damion growled as it drew a pokeball from his cloak, this pokeball was different. It was completely black, the belt on it was gray and the opening mechanism was a dark gray. Dark fog seemed to seep out from the ball as the figure chuckled as he let go of the pokeball.

Damion stepped back as the ball opened, dark violet aura appeared. Damion's eyes widened as the dark violet aura itself morphed into a menacing figure, it had no apparent body parts. It was just a floating cloud with two glowing, golden eyes. Damion flipped open his pokedex,

"No Data..?" Damion asked the machine and closed it abruptly. He looked up,

"Don't worry grandpa! I'm coming..." The boy growled as he quickly released Amp,

"Thundershock!!" The Ampharos swiftly leaped into battle as soon as it was released and released a stream of electricity. The golden bolt struck, causing a large cloud of black dust to blanket the opposing pokemon. When the dust cleared, there stood an Ampharos. Damion's eyes widened, it wasn't a normal Ampharos.

Its coat was gray and its orb on its tail was black, its belly was a dark violet and had crimson eyes. The dark Ampharos quickly released a bolt of black lightning that struck Amp and sent her flying backwards.

"Amp! Thundershock!" Amp stood up and released another blast of electricity that made its way towards the dark Ampharos who leaped over the blast and struck Amp with a close-range thundershock. The Ampharos was launched back towards Damion, the boy gritted his teeth as he caught the heavy body of his pokemon.

"It's okay Amp." The boy smiled warmly as he returned his pokemon, he released a menacing owl with a second cloud of smoke. Damion smirked,

"That first battle was a fluke, Yami use Confusion!!" As soon as the blast of energy was launched, the dark Ampharos morphed into a dark Noctowl. Its entire body was covered in black feathers, its eye piece and marks on his chest were gray. His crimson eyes calculated the energy wave, the dark Noctowl released a Psychic of his own.

The blast of energy came out like a wave, engulfing Yami's attack and launching it at full blast back at Yami. The owl pokemon was sent bombarding back,

"Damnit!" Damion cursed as he recalled his owl pokemon, the boy growled and clutched his hand. The figure was completely silent, staring at Damion. The figure looked down, giving off the impression it was depressed.

"I'm supposed to be strong, why am I loosing?!" The boy growled as he released Togo, the small purple fighting pokemon punched the air. The figure morphed again, this time taking the shape of a Tyrogue. Its skin was a dark violet, its shorts were black and its eyes were a deep crimson instead of yellow. The bandanna was black as well,

"Mach Punch!!" Damion yelled out, Togo made his way across the battle field and delivered a blow to the dark Tyrogue. The fighting pokemon seemed unfazed and quickly delivered a Brick Break blow to Togo's head, launching him back. The small fighting pokemon's head was bleeding, a small wound from the attack.

"Brick Break..." The figure whispered in a lifeless voice, Damion smirked. "Not this time, Counter!!" Togo grinned as he grabbed the dark pokemon arm and smashed his face into the dark earth,

"Brick Break!" Togo quickly delivered a solid blow to the dark Tyrogue's stomach, but the dark pokemon stood up and smashed his fist into Togo's stomach. Togo was sent skidding across the floor, the dark Tyrogue looked up at Damion with his bleeding face. The boy growled and returned Togo,

"Find your true self hidden in the shadows. Find your true destiny hidden in the shadows..." The figure said with his monotone voice. Damion clenched his fist,

"What do you MEAN??!!!" He yelled out as he released Taro, the silver Pupitar automatically launched his body at the foe. The Dark Pupitar was formed quickly, a dark violet body with black eyes. The Dark Pupitar sent out a Dark Pulse,

"Rock Slide!" A Rock was quickly summoned and deflected the dark pulse, the rock was then launched at the dark pokemon. But the Dark Pupitar was unfazed and launched a larger boulder, which was swiftly brought down onto Taro's head.

"Dark Pulse!!" Damion screeched, the dark pulse of energy broke apart the stone into several jagged pieces.

"NOW!!!" Damion screeched out, Taro leaped into the air. The dozens of large boulder circled his body in an orderly orbit,

"STONE EDGE!!!" Damion screeched out, wave upon wave of boulers were smashed into the dark Pupitar's body. The dark Pupitar finally layed defeated on the ground, trails of blood falling down his body. The dark entity soon vanished, only the figure remained.

"Grandpa!!" Damion recalled Taro and ran over to the cage, he reached trough the bars and extended his hand to reach his grandfather. The man looked up at Damion with lifeless eyes and did nothing, Damion growled as he tried to pull apart the bars. He punched the metal bars, his fists began to bleed. The boy fell to his knees as he watched his grandfather sit there and bleed out,

"GRANDPA!!" Damion shouted, the metal cage soon dissolved into nothing. The figure stood over him now,

"Find your one desire in the shadows..."The figure said in a lifeless voice, Damion stood up and clenched his fist.

"Stop...SAYING THAT!!!" Damion released a powerful blow to the figure's face, the mask cracking. The figure was raised from its feet and fell down, Damion breathed out heavily as he walked over to the figure. As he looked down at the figure's broken mask he heard a high-pitched sobbing, he looked around but saw nothing. He walked over into the dark shadows and bumped into something, or someone actually. The figure he bumped into fell to the floor, it stood up and hugged Damion. The boy was shocked, his eyes widened.

Another spotlight formed around the two hugging figures, the light revealed a shocked Damion. The boy wasn't hugging the other figure, which was revealed to be a girl. She had dark hair and a dark blue dress, her bright crystal blue eyes were tearing up. She smiled,

"Damion..." She muttered, Damion's eyes widened. He quickly grabbed the girl and held her in front of him, it was the Pokemon Center Nurse he had known since childhood. His first love, the love he pushed away. She had dirt around her body, bruises and dried blood.

"..M-Mist...?!" The boy muttered softly, she proceeded to fade away into nothing. The boy's crimson eyes widened,

"MIST!!!" He screamed out, tears forming at the corners of his eyes. But the girl had faded away, just like his grandfather. The boy turned to see the second spotlight still active, it showed the cloaked figure stand up slowly. It looked at Damion with a cracked mask,

"Find your one desire in the shadows...you have done just that....Love...Friendship..." The cloaked figure said lifelessly, the boy walked over to the figure. His crimson eyes were watering,

'This is the first time I've even come close to crying...since my parents died...' Damion thought to himself as he neared the figure.

"I know." The cloaked figure said. Damion looked up and smirked, his crimson eyes still watering. He pulled off the mask from the figure slowly.

The mask was dropped onto the cold floor.

He looked into the face of loneliness...of sorrow...of himself.

"ENOUGH..." A deep, gruff voice echoed throughout the featureless void. The complete abyss was morphed back into reality, nothing from before was visible any longer. Instead, he stood in a broken down PokemonCenter. Damion looked around and saw four Hypnos surrounding him,

"Another test you passed with flying colors! They other trainers are currently.. distracted.. and they won't notice that you're gone… As you can see the PokémonCenter isn't… what it used to be.." The man smirked, "Try not to stick out..." The man's voice trailed off as he turned, but Damion quickly grabbed the man's shoulder violently and turned him around.

"Wait! This was a tes? A god Damn TEST?!" Damion growled out, the man smashed Damion's hands off and pushed the boy back.

"Yes..." The man said plainly and snapped his fingers.

Damion's surroundings were changed in the blink of an eye, he was now standing in the front of the burning Pokemon center. He looked around him, there were the other dex holders and his bag on the floor.

"It seems there has been an attempt on our lives tonight. We must work quicker to figure this out… Come, we have been invited to stay at Bill's for the rest of the night. In the morning you will continue your mission and training."

Damion growled as he put on his bag, he quickly wiped his eyes clean.

No one can know the boy's true self...no one. Besides him were the other dex holders, a couple of kids walked ahead but Damion lagged behind. A couple of dex holders walked ahead of him, a boy with long black hair and a girl with tanned skin who seemed to be wiping her face from tears.

When the arrived a cozy home, an elderly man greeted them. He had graying hair and a nice set of pajamas,

"Welcome Clan of Hope, please follow me. I a Bill, the PC inventor, I am glad to have you stay with me for the night."

Damion was led into a room which was shared by all of the male dex holders, it was pretty crowded. But he managed to set up his sleeping bag on the floor, the boy laid down and held his arms behind his head. He trailed off into his own thoughts.

The Brotherhood, the entire vision he had. The lonely ghost he was manifested as, his true desire. Was it really love, friendship...Mist? He began to think about the entire concept of leaving the brotherhood, was it possible? Should he just stay? He sighed,

"Everything is a means to an end unplanned, Prof. Elm." Damion whispered to himself as he fell asleep.

Part 1​
Picking up the call from Grecko, he seems to be breathing heavily. You ask him what is going on but instead of an answer you get this:

"you need to meet up with the other Dex Holders outside of Bills house" Grecko says hanging up the phone.

As you make your way towards Bills house you see some of the other 4 good Dex Holders standing around outside. Bill is also standing there still in his Pajama's.

"Everyone Grecko wanted me to let you know what has caused the Tauros to go crazy yesterday" Bill says as you start to wonder why this is important, and also where Grecko and the rest of the older members of the Clan are at.

"Apparently there is some kind of strange signal being broadcasted over the Radio tower from right here in Golden Rod, Grecko, Gage and the rest of them went to check it out this morning….." He says pausing… You start to realize that Grecko's phone call may have been a distress call something is going on inside that tower, but what. Without even thinking you all take off towards the tower leaving Bill behind.

"Oh dear me oh my, I was supposed to keep them here" he says upset at the situation.

As you approach the tower you see some familiar faces, they are the men from the slowpoke well! They are once again wearing black uniforms with a big letter R on them. Then it hits you all at once and you remember the warning from the cloaked man at the power plant "resurrected team rocket leader". The Team rocket members just start laughing at you as they point to the sky and a flock of Fearow's and Pidgeots start circling the City before swooping down and attacking random people. Without hesitation you start fighting.

After you defeat the Grunts they stare you all down and move apart as another rocket member comes out from behind them. This one is different though he is wearing a blue suit and has long red hair. He appears to be in his 30's or so. You are so distracted you still do not realize the other three dex holders are not there.

"Hello there I don't think we have met before. My name is Silver and I am the son of the great Giovanni" he says before pausing. he pulls a strange looking device from his pocket. You start to wonder what's going to happen this time as you look at the other Dex holders.

"You see lately we have been adapting Rage technology to the human body and it has had quite remarkable results, it would be a shame for you to interfere in our work and end up like those older fools who entered a short while ago" he says in a serious way as you realize he is talking about The Clan of Hope members. You all shout in an angry way asking her where they are at.

"Oh there on the top floor, having a bit of a discussion with our leader and future ruler of the world" he then presses the button on the device causing a loud siren noise to start erupting from the radio tower. You slowly start to feel the ground shake beneath you as he smiles and then enters the elevator with the rest of the members.

"Have fun with this one" she says laughing.

All at once you turn around to see standing behind you in the entrance is a giant grey pokemon with yellow scales across it's body quickly you pull your pokedex out.

Rhyperior:
Lvl 50
Moves: Hammer arm, Horn Drill, Take down, rock blast.

The giant pokemon tilts its horn towards you and the other Dex Holders and gets ready to charge. All at once you realize the best option is to head towards the staircase and get to the top floor maybe then you can stop this strange signal causing the pokemon to go insane and crazy.

All of you dash for the stair case as the Rhyperior starts charging. You get to the stair case only to see the wild pokemon bust through the wall IT'S FOLLOWING YOU UP THE STAIR CASE! You start to move quicker and every now and again turning around to have your pokemon hit it with some kind of move to slow it down.

As you keep on moving up the stairs you had no idea the building was 20 floors! And suddenly the Rhyperior catches up to each of you and is about to attack!

"Glaceon blizzard!" you hear a shout from below as the Rhyperior starts to slow down until it comes to a complete stop frozen in its tracks. You look below to see Bill standing there with a Glaceon at his side, the man is still wearing his Pajama's.

Post 3​
"I'll take care of the rampaging pokemon I have the help of some pokemon rangers! You guys get to the top floor and save Grecko and the rest!" He shouts as he leaves the stair case. After the help from Bill you get a sense of determination to find out what exactly is going on up there and you all take off towards it.
You finally approach another floor and as you have to make your way through this room to get to the final stair case. As you open the door you notice the whole room is covered in rampaging weak electric pokemon. You have no choice but to fight your way through.

As you burst through the door of the top floor you look around to see Grecko, Gage, Angela, Lance, and Elm unconscious on the floor there pokeballs are laying all over the place. You then see Sly down on one knee standing in front of a shadowed figure. You turn around to notice every Dex Holder is in the room at this moment, even though earlier you could have sworn they were not with you but you shrug it off.

"Oh Sly, it's been awhile since I helped you during Kanto's dark days, but things are different now, and I have new goals in mind" the man says, as you still can't make out who it is. Sly lifts her head up to the man.

"This isn't even right; you're supposed to be dead Giovanni!" She shouts back. Suddenly all of you are taken back by the name she just uttered… The man slowly walks out from behind the shadows.

"Oh I was, it's amazing what science can do! It can bring the dead back to life and now I can finish what I started" he says. As Giovanni emerges from the Shadows he seems to be hovering in the air, you then notice that he is in some kind of wheel chair. The wheel seems to be partly plugged into Giovanni and on the back of it is a few oxygen tanks that are connected to a tube that runs to his mouth. This current sight amazes you, how can he be alive… He then notices you, and Sly turns around and laughs.

"Well Giovanni looks like we have some unexpected company; I guess you'll have to take them out as well?" She says as the man just laughs.

"Well unfortunately for them I have gathered all the test results and data I need from this and it is time for my departure but be aware that Team Rocket is alive, and our new plan will not fail!" He shouts as he jumps out of the window. You all quickly run over to see if he plummeted to his death but instead he hovers onto a helicopter with his wheel chair and he just starts laughing as it takes off into the sky and off into the horizon. All of you then walk over and help Sly up.

"Thank you for coming, I was unsure weather Grecko's call would be enough to spark your attention. They were knocked unconscious with sleeping gas, but they'll awaken soon." She pauses for a second and as you can tell a terrible thought has just crossed her mind..

"If science was able to bring Giovanni back to life then…. No never mind that isn't possible" She says as you wonder what in the world she is talking about.

After your "Day off" you return to Bills house for a rest. All of a sudden your phone begin to vibrate and the Caller ID says Grecko.

"You're needed at the Radio Station now! Team Rocket are causing another uproar!" You place the phone back into your pocket and go to run out of Bills home when as soon as you get outside you are grabbed by three cloaked men and teleported into the Reverse World.

"I'm not sure how but Team Rocket had found a way into the Reverse World, there are too many for the members we have on hand at the moment so I'm going to need you to catch me a few grunts for interrogation." Shauns voice echoes through the emptiness of the Reverse World. Around you other Dark Brotherhood members are fighting off Team Rocket Grunts who all seem to be coming from a twisted Radio Tower.

When you make your way into the tower you are greeted by a familiar face, it is the grunt from Slowpoke well standing guard for the scientist from the well. The scientest seemed to be working messing around on some of the wiring inside the twisted tower but the Grunt is ready for his/her revenge.

Once defeated the scientist falls to the ground unconscious and Shaun approches his body, he snaps his fingers and a large cloaked man comes and picks up the body to bring it to the Interrogation room.

"Fantastic, you still have yet to disappoint me my proteges!" He says to you and the other Dex Holders in the Reverse World. "I fear that I may have blown your cover though my young friend, hopefully we aren't to late!" He snaps his fingers and teleports you back into reality inside the Radio Tower.

As soon as you open your eyes in the real world you witness Bill and his Glaceon get blasted by a giant Hyper Beam knocking them into the wall. You turn your head to see three gargantuan Pokemon rampaging about.

Just as you defeat the hulking Pokemon a cloaked man appears by your side, they state that Shaun said you might be in need of back up but they guess its too late. You hear footsteps coming up from the stairs behind you and up the stairs comes three Pokemon Rangers.

"You're one of them aren't you!?" One of the Rangers, supposedly the leader, yells as another goes to check on Bills condition. "It all makes Perfect sense now! Can't believe we never saw it before!"

"Bill's dead captain! These bastards must have killed him!" The Ranger yells to the their leader who seems to be growing more and more frustrated by the moment.

Each of the Rangers uses two Pokemon who are known to have a connections, you along with one of the Cloaked Dakr Brotherhood members will have a double battle with the Rangers. You will use one of your own Pokemon and pick the Pokemon that your partner uses.

After the fight the leader pronounces that you will never get away with the murder and no matter how much you try to convince him it wasn't you he refuse to listen. He screams that he will tell everyone who you are and what you've done.

"We can take care of this... Meet up with the goody goodies" One of the trainers who you recognize as the trainer who used the Spiritomb said. You nod and along with the other two trainers you run up higher in the tower and meet up with the other Dex Holders. As you and the other dex holders move up the stairs you hear three silenced gun shots below and you are filled with regret.

You meet up with the others just in time to burst through the door of the top floor and look around to see Grecko, Gage, Angela, Lance, and Elm knocked out on the ground, they must have been knocked out before eve fighting because you see no sign of a battle. You then see Sly down on one knee standing in front of a shadowed figure.

V2-Chapter 2 LIFES A DRAMEDY!

"Pika!!!!" Chukapis shouted at it's trainer while shaking his head back and forth.

"Are you sure buddy, if you evolve then you'll be so much stronger and we can beat Whitney easier" Scythe says to Chukapis asking him one more time. Chukapis looks down at the thunderstone and you can tell he is really thinking hard about it…

"PIKACHU!" Chukapis yells zapping Scythe who falls over. Scythe quickly gets to his feet and tosses the thunderstone back into his bag.

"Alright Chukapis it was your decision and we can beat Whitney without you evolving!" Scythe says as he returns Chukapis to his pokeball.

"Well son it seems my time here is done I should get back home before it gets dark out" Scythes father says as the two say goodbye and head there separate ways. When Scythe finally enters the gym he is slightly taken back by the plainness of it and all of the pink, and flowers..

"This place is kinda girly" he mutters to himself as he hears a shout from the other end of the gym.

"It is not girl! It's nice and peaceful!" A woman shout as Scythe turns his attention to her, the women is wearing a white and pink uniform and has a light shaded pink hair.

"Sure sure, anyways I'm here for a gym battle!" Scythe shouts as Whitney just giggles.

"Well aren't you the little energy bug over there!" she says back as she calls out her first pokemon a Clefable.

"Hmm interesting choice, but don't worry I have one to top it, go Face!" Scythe shouts as Teddiursa comes out of it's pokeball and launches itself onto Scythes face.

"Aww that's cute he loves you!" Whitney says laughing.

"Face use faint attack!" Scythe shouts as Face jumps off of Scythe and quickly starts dashing for the Clefable before it quickly vanishes then reappears right in front of it ready to swing it's claws into the pokemon.

"Clefable now use Minimize!" Whitney shouts as Clefable shrinks itself and Face flies right over top of it hitting the ground hard.

"Face quickly get up and run in close to the Clefable!" Scythe shouts as Face takes over running straight for Clefable.

"Oh silly boy you're going to have to be more creative then that! Clefable double slap!" Whitney shouts as Clefable starts slapping the charging Face knocking him back down to the ground.

"One more time Face get up and charge at it!" Scythe shouts as Whitney looks at him confused as if he was trying to hurt his pokemon more. Face charges in closely and Whitney orders another double slap from Clefable who gets ready to start slapping Face again.

"Ha now Face stop it's arms then use slash!" Scythe shouts as Whitney watches Face stop the Clefables arms in mid-swing then dodges underneath tackling it to the ground and slashing at it's body.

"Ah no way! You were trying to get me used to one move, good strategy!" Whitney says back as she returns her Clefable, and calls out her Togetic. Scythe looks at Face who is slow to get up and knows he doesn't want to push his pokemon to hard.

"Face return, come on out Ariados!" Scythe yells as his old friend's pokemon materlizes in front of him and he smiles.

"Togetic use Metronome!" Whitney shouts as the Togetic flies up into the air and then turns its gaze right to Ariados. It then starts shooting flames from it's mouth.

"Ariados it's a flamethrower quickly dodge and use Shadow sneak!" Scythe yells as Ariados barely dodges the flames and then sinks into the shadows.

"Ah where did it go?" Whitney asked puzzled as Ariados jumps out from behind Togetic striking it to the ground.

"Hmm Togetic get up and use wish!" Whitney shouts as the Togetic gets up and hovers above the ground, it closes it's eyes and starts to glow.

"What was that!?" Scythe asks puzzled.

"Togetic just received some of it's energy back, now use metronome again!" Whitney says smiling as Togetic then digs under the ground.

"What the heck?? It must be using dig, Ariados keep your eyes open!" Scythe shouts as Ariados starts moving swiftly across the ground. The ground beneath it starts to shake and Togetic pushes up through it causing Ariados to fly into the nearby wall covered in rubble.

"Hmph looks like that ones done!" Whitney yells back as Scythe looks over to where Ariados is and is about to return it before it bursts through the rubble with determined fiery eyes.

"Ariados! Hmph this ain't over yet night shade!" Scythe shouts as Ariados jumps into the air as a big wall of darkness slams into Togetic knocking it to the ground.

"Togetic wish!" Whitney shouts quickly as Togetic starts to rise up again.

"I don't think so! Ariados use constrict!" Scythe yells as Ariados starts spraying a sticky string like substance at Togetic wrapping it up causing it to fall to the ground. "Now Ariados finish this with shadow sneak!" Scythe orders as Ariados vanishes and then reappears slashing into the Togetic knocking in unconscious.

"Return go Wigglytuff!" Whitney shouts as Scythe congratulates Ariados and then notices the big pink fluffy pokemon standing in front of him…

"Haha what is that?!?! Your going to beat me with a pokemon like that?" Scythe says laughing at the Wigglytuff who gets an angry look on it's face…

"I wouldn't do that if I were you Scythe… Wigglytuff use thunderpunch!" Whitney yells as Wigglytuff charges at Ariados and cocks its arm back as electricity starts flowing through it.

"Oh boy…. Ariados dodge it!" Scythe shouts but it was to late the wigglytuff swung into the center of Ariados's back causing it to collapse and go unconscious.

"Wiggly! Tuff!" the pokemon shouts at Scythe as it returns to Whitneys side…

"Wow… um Ariados great job buddy! Return! Alright it's up to you Chukapis!" Scythe yells as he throws out Chukapis's pokeball who explodes out from it's ball with electricity sparking out of its entire body.

"PIKA CHU!" Chukapis shouts ready and raring to go.

"Ok Chukapis use…" Scythe stops suddenly and holds his head in pain.

"Wigglytuff use ice beam!" Whitney shouts as Chukapis is to distracted by it's trainer being in pain to pay attention to the beam of ice flying straight at it, and when he finally turns his head he is struck by it and thrown to the ground before being frozen in it's place.

Scythe finally calms down as the pain from his head goes away a little bit and looks down at his frozen pikachu he runs over to it's side.

"Oh no this is my fault and these damn headaches, Chukapis come on we can't lose the gym battle like this" Scythe says as he turns his attention to Whitney.

"Well it looks like Chukapis is unable to battle I guess I'm the winner" she says smartly to Scythe who gets an angry look on his face…

"NO! That is unfair Chukapis wasn't even paying attention!!!!" Scythe yells back at the gym leader.

"To bad your it's trainer you should be able to keep it focused!" Whitney shouts back as the ice around Chukapis starts to glow yellow before it finally cracks open and bolts of electricity burst out with Chukapis charging straight at the Wigglytuff as electricity is circling it's whole body.

"PIKACHU!!!!" It shouts before releasing a huge thunderbold onto the wigglytuff knocking it out cold. Whitney stares out the scene in front of her and then starts to clap.

"Well I guess I should keep my pokemon more focused now shouldn't I anyway you and your Chukapis seem to have a great bond and I can't deny you the gym badge after that excellent feat of determination so here ya go it's the plain badge" Whitney says as she hands Scythe the plain badge and walks into the next room.

"We did it Chukapis we did it!" Scythe shouts happily dancing with his pikachu before getting really dizzy and falling to the ground.

"The headaches are coming back.. and there getting worse.. Sevinn must really want out…" Scythe says with an upset look on his face as he feels his phone start to vibrate in his pocket and pulls it out to find it is Grecko calling him..

"Grecko??" Scythe says wondering what he needs.
 
Tim0789: Haha funny post! Scythe received the plain badge! Chukapis grew to lvl 33! Face grew to lvl 30! Face wants to evolve will you allow it? Ariados grew to lvl 27!
 
Sahib whipped around and saw Jean standing there, looking curious. He nodded towards the phone. Sahib flipped it open, eyeing Jean wearily as he did so and thinking, didn't I hear somewhere that rapists almost always touch you on the shoulder? On the other end was heavy breathing. Sahib vaguely thought of one of those weird horror movies or prank calls, so he decided to speak. Sahib asked Grecko what the hell was going on, but instead of a reply Grecko answered with an order.

"You need…to meet up with the others outside of Bill's house…" Grecko said. Suddenly the line went dead. Sahib snapped the phone shut and eyed it curiously for a moment.

"What was that about?" Jean questioned.

Sahib glanced at him quickly. "Nothing really. Look, I've got to go," Sahib said. "Uh…can we do whatever it is that you wanted later?" Sahib blinked suddenly, realizing that what he had just said probably gave the wrong idea.

"Oh, indeed we can, mon ami," Jean replied. Then moments later, he had disappeared around a corner.

Sahib felt sick. It wasn't because Grecko had called and sounded in distress. No, it was simply because of Jean's reply and the fact that it sounded like there was some sort of…well, suggestion there. Sahib shuddered as he walked. I need to stay away from that guy, he decided.

Once Sahib had arrived at Bill's house, the first thing he noticed was four other people standing out there his age. Liliana wasn't one of them. Sahib sighed quietly and turned his attention to the pajama donning Bill. Bill cleared his throat, looking slightly uncomfortable. Sahib vaguely wondered why Bill always seemed to be in his pajamas whenever they saw him.

"Everyone, Grecko wanted me to let you know what has caused the Tauros to go crazy yesterday," Bill began. Sahib frowned, wondering vaguely why this was important. Where are the old people anyway? He wondered as an afterthought. He had guessed Grecko would be around more, especially considering he was the one who had called. Bill chose that moment to continue. "Apparently there is some sort of strange signal being broadcasted over the Radio Tower from right here in Goldenrod. Grecko and the rest of them went to check it out this morning…" Bill frowned and paused. Sahib's face was marred with a frown to match. What if his call was like…a distress call or something? Sahib wondered. He glanced at Bill. Then, without further adieu, he ran off. Bill said something that Sahib didn't hear, but he didn't turn back.

The first thing he saw at the tower was the men with the black uniforms. Sahib skidded to a stop, staring at the giant R on their uniforms. No…no…he thought snapping his teeth together and setting his jaw firm. He remembered the word of the resurrected Team Rocket leader, but…could that mean…? Sahib refused to believe his father would go back to them—but how could he be sure? Sahib looked away and to the ground. That's when he realized that they'd been noticed. Suddenly a flock of Fearow and Honchkrow began to circle the city, almost as if upon order. Sahib grabbed Aerodactyl's Pokeball, knowing what was coming. The Fearow and Honchkrow swooped down, charging at the city and attacking people. The blood pounded in Sahib's ears as he released first Aerodactyl and then Wartortle.

He turned to the closest attacking Pokémon. "Wartortle, get on Aerodactyl's back!" Sahib ordered, figuring this would be a fight for the air. He himself debating on getting on his Pokémon. "Aerodactyl, wait a second," Sahib called, jogging to his Pokémon. He got on the flying type and glanced down. Wartortle sat just in front of Aerodactyl's spike. Sahib grabbed onto the spike, this might end badly, but oh well…I've gotta help! "Let's go, Aerodactyl!" Sahib called from his seat on the Pokémon's back.

Aerodactyl screeched and took off. Sahib had to admit he was impressed that Aerodactyl was strong enough to carry both him and Wartortle. He knew it slowed Aerodactyl down, but Sahib decided it was better to be able to give orders from close range, just incase they decided to fly away.

"HON!" one of the Honchkrow screeched. It flew rapidly away from the man it had been pecking on, and straight towards Sahib and his Pokémon.

"Get ready Wartortle," Sahib called. Wartortle nodded sharply. "Now use water pulse on that Honchkrow!" Sahib called. "Aerodactyl, try to go under and get the Fearow coming up behind Honchkrow."

Wartortle suddenly unleashed a pulsating stream of water directly for the airborne Honchkrow. The Pokémon swooped and dodged, but Wartortle wasn't quite ready to give up with the battle. Wartortle kept up the stream of water all the while Aerodactyl flew. Aerodactyl passed under Honchkrow. Sahib ducked, allowing Wartortle to hit the dark Pokémon from its belly and send it careening towards the ground in a spiral. Fearow was next. Sahib ordered a thunder fang. Aerodactyl screeched and flew as fast as it could. Fearow swooped its wings in an arch so its feet were angling outwards toward Aerodactyl. When Aerodactyl slammed into Fearow, the Pokémon hit so hard Sahib felt Aerodactyl's entire frame shake. The Pokémon were struggling with their feet and wings as they began to descend rapidly. Sahib latched onto Wartortle before it could fall off.

"Aerodactyl, you've gotta pull away," Sahib called over the whooshing wind. "Give it a thunder fang! Wartortle, help Aerodactyl out and use water pulse!"

Aerodactyl's jaws hit this time. It snapped down on Fearow's beak, making the Pokémon shudder violently as it attempted to pull away. Wartortle was about to hit it away with water pulse when suddenly there were heavy wings beating down on both Sahib and Wartortle. Wartortle whipped around and shot the stream of water over Sahib's shoulder. A quick glance back told Sahib that the Honchkrow had returned—and was ready to join the aerial fight. Finally Aerodactyl released Fearow. The big bird cried out and swooped away, flying close to Honchkrow to regroup. Sahib was about to order another attack when Fearow suddenly charged forward, clamping down on one of Aerodactyl's wings.

What?! Sahib thought, pulling out his Pokedex. He checked their moves. ****, it knows mirror move, he realized. "Aerodactyl, let's try to finish Fearow first. Use ancient power! Wartortle, keep that Honchkrow away from us as much as possible. Hit it with water gun and water pulse," Sahib called.

Wartortle kept the attacks up at Honchkrow, occasionally moving his head around to hit the black bird. Sahib was more focused on Aerodactyl, however, because of the close combat of the moves. Boulders were slamming into Fearow, and although it was causing the Pokémon to be knocked away, it just kept coming. Sahib checked his Pokedex. No wonder, he realized, it knows pursuit as well. Probably why it keeps coming and trying to attack. Sahib glanced down at the Pokémon as it got pelted, and watched it rise as it flew up. Aerodactyl's attack had ended, so now it was Fearow's turn. Aerodactyl swooped sideways so fast that Sahib felt a splash of water on his back. Fearow followed, and finally succeeded in the pursuit. It slammed full body into Aerodactyl, knocking the Pokémon backwards.

"Aerodactyl try for a wing attack the next time it gets close," Sahib said to his Pokémon.

Aerodactyl screeched softly in reply. Sahib turned to Wartortle, glad to see that it was still keeping Honchkrow at bay. The only problem was he wasn't exactly sure how long Wartortle could keep it up. That, and the fact it looked tired enough already. Wartortle stopped for a breath, and that was when Honchkrow took its chance. It flew towards them abruptly. Sahib clenched his teeth and braced for the attack. He felt the heavy beat of wings upon him, but most of that was covered by Wartortle. Wartortle's eyes were clamped shut as it endured the heavy thudding wings. Oh man, Sahib thought, glancing at the Pokedex once more, that Honchkrow's several levels above my Pokémon.

"Wartortle, use protect," Sahib called, wondering why he didn't do that in the first place.

Wartortle was suddenly surrounded in a veil that also partially covered Aerodactyl's back. Sahib glanced at Aerodactyl. It seemed to have the upper hand, especially because of the previous super effective moves it had used. Sahib called for another final thunder fang. Aerodactyl complied, quickly snapping his electrified jaws down on Fearow's suddenly exposed neck. Aerodactyl let go once it realized the attack had been just enough. The Fearow cried out and plummeted to the ground. Sahib watched silently as it landed in a dusty heap, not getting back up.

"Alright Aerodactyl, help out Wartortle," Sahib called. "Use thunder fang. Wartortle, turn around and use water pulse as soon as you can," Sahib ordered to his still-protecting Pokémon.

Aerodactyl swerved around. Honchkrow suddenly flew away, with Aerodactyl hot on its tail. Wartortle stopped the protect and then turned to face the front once more. Sahib held onto both Aerodactyl's spike and Wartortle. Wartortle unleashed a jet of water towards Honchkrow. The Pokémon got hit on the wing, causing it to falter just enough for Aerodactyl to catch up. Aerodactyl snapped its jaws down on the Pokémon's wing, sending an electric shock through the Pokémon's body. Honchkrow cried out as it, too, fell to the ground. Sahib let out a breath.

"Good job, guys," Sahib said, patting Wartortle on the head and Aerodactyl on the side of his neck. "Now…" he was about to have Aerodactyl land when he noticed the Team Rocket members run into the doors. Sahib pointed there, and Aerodactyl got the hint. It flew down quickly, pausing just outside of the doors and folding his wings. Sahib hopped off, grinning slightly. He rubbed Aerodactyl's nose and then recalled his Pokémon. He turned to Wartortle and did the same. Now…off into the building, he thought as he took a step inside.
 
Fenris: Great post! The twist with Sahibs father should make these next few posts very intresting. Any who Wartortle grew to lvl 33! Wartortle wants to learn aqua tail delete a move to make room? Areodactyl grew to lvl 33! Areodactyl wants to learn crunch delete a move to make room?
 
Later on, in the middle of the night, Kaitlyn grabbed her Pokémon and then snuck out towards the Gym, to see if that man was still there and luckily he wasn't, smirking she entered the Gym, noticing the arena was covered in brick flooring, making paths and Flower boxes scattered in a certain position, Whitney stood in the middle of it all, wearing a grin, she had pink hair with a fluffy and poufy looking outfit.

"Hi there cutie! You must be here for the battle right? Sorry about not being here earlier, but I had a run in with a few tough trainers that really hurt my Pokémon" she looked sad before it turned into a light smile "Lets get started! As the opponent, you are allowed to switch your Pokemon during a battle, I however may not"

Kaitlyn gave a nod and grabbed a ball at her belt, wondering what the woman would use first "Alright then, get ready for a good battle! Togetic, my cute baby, take flight!" Whitney threw her Pokéball down and a small white Pokémon appeared.

Togetic
The Happiness Pokémon​
Togetic is said to be a Pokémon that brings good fortune. When the Pokémon spots someone who is pure of heart, it is said to appear and share its happiness with that person.​

"Alright then Sho your up first!" Kaitlyn tossed down her Pikachu's Pokéball, the shiny mouse appeared in a flash of light, staring Togetic down "Aww, what an adorable little Pikachu! Togetic use Metronome!"

"Stop it Sho before it can finish the attack, with Thunder Shock!" Sho nodded and shot a bolt of lightning at Togetic, shocking the Pokémon Kaitlyn then realized that Sho's attack was much more powerful than before "Hey! You know Thunderbolt! Awesome! That'll do major damage!" she cheered and Sho smiled "Now use Slam!" Sho shot towards Togetic and whirled around, bringing his tail down on the humanoid eggshell, sending Togetic skidding back a few paces.

"Toge!"

"Togetic! Are you alright?" Togetic nodded and fluttered its wings "Good, now use Sweet Kiss!" Togetic began to float towards Sho and the mouse ran away from the eggshell, trying no to get attacked "Thunderbolt!" Kaitlyn yelled, right as Togetic finally caught up with Sho and pecked him on the cheek "Pikaaaachhhhaaaa" Sho had gotten ready to used Thunderbolt, but Sweet Kiss had affected him before he could attack, causing a purple hue to appear on his nose. "Sho!" Kaitlyn exclaimed as she watched the Pikachu stumbled almost drunkenly around the field "Metronome!" Togetic began to tilt its hands back and forth in a chant "Tic. Tic. Tic. Toge. Toge. Toge. Tic." Its arms stopped glowing and Togetic opened its mouth, firing several shots of mud at Sho, which hit the Pikachu and exploded on contact "Sho!"

That exploding Mud Shot must've did the trick, because Sho was no longer looking confused and he growled at the Togetic "Alright Sho! Now use Nasty Plot! Then follow up with Thunderbolt!" Sho nodded, beginning to think Nasty and Vicious thoughts, with his special attack raising he used Thunderbolt, which was super effective due to Togetic being part flying type.

After being struck by the bolt of harsh lightning, Togetic was down for the count "Oh no! My Togetic" Whitney cried before returning the walking eggshell "Alright then, here's my next Pokémon! Clefable lets go!"

Clefable​
The Fairy Pokémon​
Rarely seen by people, it is said to be drawn by the full moon to play at deserted lakes.​

"Alright Sho Return!" Kaitlyn recalled her Pikachu and pulled out Hunter's ball next "Hunter your up!" Kaitlyn tossed the ball down and her Croconaw appeared in a flash of light "Aww, what a cute Croconaw!" Hunter blushed "Croco!" he rubbed the back of his head in a sheepish manner and Whitney began the next battle "Clefable use Double Slap!" Clefable shot forward, with the intentions of slapping the hell out of Hunter "Dodge it and use Bite!" Hunter ducked under Clefable's hands and then shot up and bit one of her arms, the fairy cried out in pain, bringing up its not bitten arm to slap at Hunter's face, causing him to reluctantly let go.

"Metronome!"

"Use Ice Fang!" Before Clefable had the chance to summon a random attack that could either hurt of help Hunter, twin fangs of Ice shot at Clefable, freezing the fairy's farms, up to the elbows, making the attack null and void "Alright! Now use Dragon Claw!" Hunter nodded and sprang forward, his claws glowing white as he bought his arm down and slashed Clefable right across the torso, sending it tumbling back with a cry "Clefable!" the fairy growled at Hunter and proceeded to slap him, with her ice incase hands, which seemed to cause a lot more damage than normal, in fact Clefable kept hitting Hunter so hard, that the ice cracked and shattered against his cheeks.

"Good Job Clefable! Now use Metronome!"

Clefable bounced back and used Metronome, chanting as her fingers glowed white "Clefable!" Clefable hummed and its body began to glow white and Kaitlyn's eyes went wide "Crap! Hunter get away from there! I think that's Explosion!" Hunter's eyes went about as wide as saucers and he began to run, trying to get away from Clefable as the pink fairy eventually blew up, Hunter dived to the ground, he didn't get caught in the initial explosion but he got caught in the shockwave, which blew him several feet away.

"Oh no! Clefable!" the Fairy had swirly eyes as it groaned and Whitney recalled her fainted Pokémon. Hunter was alright, a bit dazed but he was fine. Kaitlyn smiled and congratulated him before calling the Croconaw back "Alright My last one! Wigglytuff lets go!" Whitney summoned her final Pokémon and Kaitlyn summoned Snoopy, the Granbull stretched and yawned, shaking his head.

Wigglytuff
The Balloon Pokémon
Wigglytuff's body is very flexible. By inhaling deeply, this Pokémon can inflate itself seemingly without end. Once inflated, Wigglytuff bounces along lightly like a balloon.​

"Its sooo cute!" Whitney exclaimed with hearts in her eyes and Kaitlyn sweat dropped, this girl sure was a spazz "Umm thanks. Snoopy lets go! Use Headbutt!" Snoopy nodded and charged at the Wigglytuff, who puffed up its stomach and took the attack like it was nothing "Now Thunder Punch!" Wigglytuff nodded and with a Tuff its left arm became engulfed with sparks and Wigglytuff punched Snoopy right in the stomach "Now Double Slap!" And it didn't stop there Wigglytuff quickly followed up with a series of slaps to Snoopy's cheeks, leaving them red and puffy "Grr Snoopy Use Thunder Fang!" Snoopy let out a growl and bit down on Wigglytuff's stomach sending electric shocks through its rubbery body "Don't take that! Counter with Thunder Punch!"

And so the battle of wills began, both using their electric based attack, waiting to see which would become paralyzed first, Snoopy refused to let go of Wigglytuff's torso and the balloon kept punching Snoopy on the head, but in the end, both became paralyzed, due to over exposure from the electric attacks "Ice Beam" Whitney cried and Wigglytuff bounced back away from Snoopy, with Snoopy doing the same "Ice Fang!"

This time, both Pokémon used their respective Ice Attacks, which collided mid course, causing a large explosion, which caused Smoke to cover the field both trainers waited for the smoke to clear and they saw both Pokémon were glaring at each other, their power was equally match "Double Slap!"

"Bite!" And so here they were again at a standoff, Snoopy bit into Wigglytuff and Wigglytuff would slap him "Thunder Fang!" Kaitlyn shouted and Whitney responded "Thunder Punch!" It then went back to square one, where they continued their attacks until both Pokémon pulled away due to paralysis. Snoopy and Wigglytuff were panting and they stared one another down with a grudging respect, it was time to end it "Alright Snoopy Ice Fang one more time!"

"Yeah Wigglytuff! Ice Beam!"

Both the Balloon and the Fairy Pokémon fired their respective attacks and the once again collided in mid air, causing and explosion, but when the smoke cleared, both trainers realized the battle was over, Wigglytuff had fainted and Snoopy was still standing, panting but still standing "Wait to go Snoopy!" Kaitlyn bounced over and hugged her Granbull, who smiled weakly and hugged her back, grumbling to himself. Whitney recalled her Wigglytuff and walked over to Kaitlyn "You did a wonderful job, so I present to you the Goldenrod City's Gym badge, The Plain Badge" Kaitlyn smiled and gave her thanks as she took the badge from Whitney, moments later however, she felt her PokéGear ring.

It was Grecko.
