"Krad…it's unreal, isn't it? Bill's gone, I can barely remember how it happened, and it was only a few days ago…", Lucas sighed, while speaking to the Sceptile who now towered over his previous form by nearly 3 feet. Long had it been since the shock of Krad's evolution wore off. Krad dipped his head and sighed as well. Sighing again, Lucas turned his attention to the door, a small knock was heard, though when Lucas opened the door, nobody was there, though there was a note informing Lucas to get ready for the funeral, it would start soon. Good thing there was a clothes store nearby so I could get some decent clothes for the funeral…

Lucas looked himself over, he had changed his jeans out for a nice pair of black dress pants, while he put a white dress shirt on over his usual silver shirt, leaving the top few buttons unbuttoned, those ones always made me gasp for breathe all the time, a real pain…Lucas couldn't help but smile at the thought. Then, kneeling down to tie his shoes, which had also been switched out for a pair of nice black ones, he shook his head quickly, getting the hair out of his eyes. Meh, it might've been a mistake to let my hair down, but it's not polite to leave my hair up. At least that's what that TV special said, Lucas sighed again, before standing up and exiting the room with Krad close behind.

Lucas closed his eyes briefly, before leaving the house behind, making his way quietly to Whitney's gym. As he drew near to the gym, he noticed that there were several people headed in the same direction, all dressed nicely and in black. Maybe I shouldn't have ditched the coat…But that thing was too damn stuffy, Lucas sighed, realizing he would likely stand out, amongst the many people dressed in black. Then again, most people don't have a Sceptile following them either…
Once Lucas and Krad arrived, they noticed how there were several people filing in through the open gym doors, and quickly tried to get through the doors before the gym filled up completely.

"Wow, Krad, look at all the people here, Bill must've really been well known", Lucas said quietly, and quickly wiped away the beginning of what surely would've been a stream of tears. Lucas was just a bad crier like that. Once he started, it took a while to stop. Lucas looked around for a familiar face, and only too quickly did he find one of the only faces he didn't want to see. Liliana. On further inspection, she was sitting close to the other Dex Holders, so Lucas scowled quickly, then took his place against a nearby wall. Krad followed suit. Then, his attention was attracted by a figure standing at the podium. It was Whitney, she looked ready to speak.

"Bill lived his life for others, in fact, he spent his entire life making the world more convenient for people and their Pokemon partners. I'm sure he was both happy and proud to die protecting what he believes in. It's a shame that only a handful of people will cry at this mans death, because when he died, the entire world lost something important." She pulled out a handkerchief and dabbed her eyes, and in the background, Lucas heard someone bawling. Professor Elm walked up to the podium next, stumbling in that nervous way of his.

Wiping his forehead with a cloth and then placed it back into his front pocket, he started, "Bill was one in a million, and I can only pray that I might live my life half as bravely as he lived his." He seemed to want to say something else but he backed off the podium and sat back in a chair in front of the casket. One last person walked up the the podium with Bills Glaceon at his side. He had very short hair and a pair of glasses resting on his nose ridge, Lucas noted. He was tall and thin and approached the podium.

"My uncle was a great man..." The boy looked down, and then back at all the people in the gym. "He pushed himself everyday, and I'm sure the only regret he had in death was that he never saw the end of his soaps." Lucas grinned at that. "I know he would want somebody to take his place helping the Clan of Hope and developing the technology that makes our lives easier, and I assure you, I will take his place. I also know that at his funeral he wouldn't want anyone to mourn his death, but to celebrate his life. He died for a better tomorrow... But he lived for a better today..." The man wiped his eyes and then looked at the people again. "Please spend as much time as you feel necessary to say good bye... Thank you." He stepped off the stage and sat down next to Sly.

At that point, Lucas found that everybody had begun chatting quietly, while some others had approached the casket, saying a few words, before leaving. Lucas found this to be a good idea before he cleared out, and slowly approached the casket. As Lucas took in the view of Bill's "sleeping" face, he couldn't help but look away, Damn, I'm pathetic, can't even look at him now, no. I can do this… Lucas turned his eyes back to Bill, and uttered a quick "thank you", then turned to leave. However, before Lucas could make it very far, he found himself being called over by one of the senior Clan members. Grecko, Lucas remembered after a moment of thought, he only met him once, after all.
Cairne's Grandfather was there too, I still need to find out his name…

"This is truly a sad day, but we also feel that we are holding your journeys up. You have been in Goldenrod for too long." Grecko says, then the grandpa steps in.

"We can understand that you're tired of being in danger and harm all the time, we went through it too… But you can't give up, you trainers are what is holding the balance of the light and dark in place." Cairne's grandpa said as he stared at Lucas and everyone else.

"So, this will be your last day in Goldenrod, we shall protect Whitney, and if there is no threat on her life you will be free to move on to Ecruteak City." Grecko said as they dismiss everyone.

"Krad, you know, don't go and die on me. I barely know Bill and it's this depressing, I don't think I could stand losing you too", Lucas sighed, Wow, that was a strange thing to say…Krad just turned the other way, scratching at his head. Apparently he had found the comment strange too. Lucas grinned a bit, then dropped the smile, holding up his other friends. Lavitz and Spade, they seemed to feel their trainers thoughts, and both balls radiated a bit of warmth, their way of showing Lucas they weren't going anywhere. He smiled at the effort, then placed them back on his belt. He was interrupted however, when he was bumped into unexpectedly by some girl.

"Yahhhh!", was all that Lucas heard. Turning to locate the source of the bump+voice, he found himself staring at a girl, and not just a girl, a short one too! But putting aside her hilarious shortness, Lucas noticed that she had jumped away from him rather quickly, clutching her arm in pain.

"Ehh, are you okay?", Lucas asked, slightly worried, What happened to her arm to get such a reaction from just touching something to it? Krad was busily staring at the smaller pokemon that were following the girl around.

"I'll live. No pain no gain heh" she smiled weakly "My Feraligatr went apesh*t crazy and mauled a Grunt's Crobat, leaving nothing but its wings, so I let him take a chunk out my shoulder rather then going out on killing spree. . .", the girl answered, coughing slightly before holding out a hand, "I'm Kaitlyn, and this is Sho and Stitch" she motioned to her Pikachu and Sableye, who flanked either of her sides.

Lucas grinned a bit at the introduction, then proceeded to introduce himself, "I'm Lucas. This is Krad", Lucas said, pausing a bit, before greeting the pokemon at Kaitlyn's side. Then, he turned to Krad and quickly said, "You've got nothing on her Feraligatr, I have to say", laughing gently, while imagining Krad's crazy little frenzies he used to get into. But then again, he hadn't gone into a frenzy as a Sceptile yet, they could be entirely more destructive, Lucas realized, putting on a concerned look, before returning his attention to the girl.

"So, uhh...I really don't know what more to say. Unless you have more to say...", Lucas said, motioning to the door, in an attempt to convey his will to LEAVE the funeral.

Kaitlyn blinked, seemingly surprised, "Well, your surprisingly blunt" she murmured dryly "Straight to the point I see" she gave a one armed shrug and stepped to the side "It was nice meeting you. . . I guess"

"Hey, sorry, but I don't really wanna hang around here any longer then is really necessary. I'll be sure to be more sociable next time, though", Lucas said quickly, then exited the gym quickly, waving a quick goodbye, and then he was gone.

Once outside, Lucas failed to find anything meaningful to do, so he took to just walking the streets. Bleh, I must've come off as rude to that Kaitlyn girl, I'll be sure to make up for that next time we meet...

"You're kidding right! I am not wearing that!"

"Ohh quit being such a spoiled sport and put the damn dress on!"

"No way! And its too big anyway!"

"Too Big? But its your exact size!"

"Umm hello, flat as a washboard here!" she pointed to her non existent chest, with her free uninjured arm before muttering darkly at Angela "Just because your over 50 and past menopause, doesn't mean you get to rub in the fact that your boobs are bigger than mine you old hag" Angela glared half-heartedly at Kaitlyn and whacked the girl upside her head, Sho and Bolt sighed at their trainers, all her Pokémon were out of their balls and did whatever, Hunter was curled up in a corner sulking and keeping a distance in case he should snap again Snoopy was zonked out on the bed and Stitch stood quietly beside Kaitlyn.

"Stop being so difficult you damn brat" Angela grumbled, helping Kaitlyn slip into the slim black dress with a sweeping neckline, careful not to brush against her shoulder too much, the whole left side of her arm, starting from the shoulder, which throbbed was numb and hung limply by her side, it was in a sling two days ago, after they had gotten back to the house, but her arm still hurt and the sling just irritated her, so she just took it off and stuck with the ointments and bandages around her shoulder, much to the doctor's dismay "What are you going to do about you arm" Angela asked softly "Have you told your brothers?" Kaitlyn snorted "I'll leave it as is, and are you kidding! The moment I tell them I got hurt, Rafe will be demanding I come home, or worse... he'll send Kane to watch me like a hawk" Kaitlyn grimaced at the thought and Angela frowned.

"Well, maybe you should go home Kaitlyn. Things are becoming even more dangerous, I mean look what they did to Bill! That could've easily been one of you, or even us, I mean look what happened to your shoulder!" Kaitlyn scowled at this and Hunter suddenly felt even more miserable "Nobody is responsible for what happened to my shoulder but me! I chose to let Hunter rip me a new one, so stop coddling me like I'm some kid!"

"You still are a kid!"

The two women were glaring at each other now; Angela had an angry scowl on her face "You don't understand how grave this situation is becoming! One moment you could be here and the next you could be dead! Is that really how you want to go!?" the older woman paused to breath and calm herself "Its just. . . your so young and got your whole life ahead of you, heck I was younger than you when I got pulled into this mess"

"But you stuck through, till the very end right?"

"Yeah, but there were many times when I wanted out. The things I've seen and had to do. No child should have to go through that" she mumbled sighing "I worry about you kids, your all just so. . ." she shook her head and trailed off "Never mind, lets just get going" she placed a hand on Kaitlyn's good shoulder and began leading the girl out to the gym, where the service would be held, Bolt immediately began to follow, with Sho and Stitch trailing behind the older Pokémon.

"Wow, who knew Bill had so many people that would miss him" Kaitlyn mumbled under her breath, Angela and Bolt had split, standing with the rest of the older members of the gym, while Kaitlyn went stood with the others, in the center of the gym, surrounded by a bunch of white flowers was Bill, dressed in a crisp suit, lying peacefully in his open casket "C'mon you two, the sermon is about to start soon" Kaitlyn snagged a seat next to Gage, smiling slightly at the older man Sho and Stitch sat on her lap, Kaitlyn held Stitch and Stitch held Sho, not to long after, Cairne came and sat beside them, his Absol was lying attentively at his feet but she said nothing.

Whitney stood up at the Podium in front of Bill's casket.

"Bill lived his life for others, in fact he spent his entire life making the world more convenient for people and their Pokémon partners. I'm sure he was both happy and proud to die protecting what he believes in. It's a shame that only a handful of people will cry at this mans death, because when he died the entire world lost something important." She pulled out a handkerchief and dabbed her eyes and Professor Elm stumbled towards the podium next twitching nervously, Kaitlyn thought this man needed some serious counseling, when this was all over... he was too jittery.

He wiped his forehead with a cloth and then placed it back into his front pocket. "Bill was one in a million, I can only pray that I might live my life half as bravely as he lived his." He paused and looked to say something else, but backed away and sat down. One last person walked up to the podium with Bill's Glaceon at his side. He had very short hair and a pair of glasses resting on the ridge of his nose; he was tall and thin and approached the podium.

"My uncle was a great man..." The boy looked down and then back at everyone in the gym in the gym. "He pushed himself everyday and I'm sure the only regret he had in death was that he never saw the end of his soaps." Several people in the gym let out mixed laughs. "I know he would want somebody to take his place helping the Clan of Hope and developing the technology that makes our lives easier and I assure you I will take his place. I also know that at his funeral he wouldn't want anyone to mourn his death, but to celebrate his life. He died for a better tomorrow.... But he lived for a better today....." The nephew wiped his eyes and then looked at everyone again. "Please spend as much time as you feel necessary to say good bye... Thank you." He then stepped off the stage and sat down next to Sly.

Everyone then began to shuffle towards the casket, then left after saying a few words. Cairne was up before her and he mumbled something to the dead man and a tear slid down his face, she just stared silently at her friend, before taking her place up at the casket after Cairne had left, Sho and Stitch flanked her sides "Well, I don't really know what to say Bill" she began mumbling "I'm not really good with this sorta thing and. . . its sad seeing you go and I take back everything I thought about you being a complete weirdo" she laughed lightly, although it came out slightly bitter "I hope your happy up there, at least you've earned eternal peace, but it probably would've been better if you were still alive" she frowned slightly, realizing she was beginning to ramble "Well, I guess that's all I really have to say. Rest in Peace Bill"

Once the funeral was over Grecko had called all of the Dex holders over, along with Gage "This is truly a sad day, but we also feel that we are holding your journeys up you have been in golden rod for to long." Grecko explains and then Gage steps in "We can understand that your tired of being in danger and harm all the time, we went through it to… but you can't give up, you trainers are what is holding the balance of the light and dark in place." Gage gave all of them a knowing gaze, before Grecko spoke up again and dismissed them "So this will be your last day in Golden Rod, we shall protect Whitney and if there is no threat on her life you will be free to move on to Ecruteak City."

After that was over, Kaitlyn decided to seek out Cairne and see if he was alright, she walked up to him, with Stitch and Sho trailing behind her and placed a hand on his shoulder "Hey... you okay?"

"Yeah... Sure I am... You?" she frowned, knowing he was lying, but refused to say anything about it

"I guess..." she mumbled dryly, she wasn't really a fan of funerals and all this sad and tense atmosphere wasn't making her feel any better.

"It's my fault he's dead Kai..."

Kaitlyn glanced at Cairne and reassured him "It's no ones fault that he died Cairne." He just looked down "It's my fault you got hurt too Kaitlyn... I couldn't protect you..."
"What are you talking about" she asked, a bit sharply, her eyes narrowed slightly, just what was he implying.

"Because of my decisions... My mistakes... I couldn't help you or Bill.."

"First of all I don't need your protection Cairne! And secon--" it was beginning to piss her off, that people were so damn worried that she couldn't take care of her self, I mean god, the instant she decides to let her Feraligatr take a bite out of her damn arm, everybody wants to stand on a damn soap box and preach to her about how bad the situation is.

"Obviously you do Kai! I mean look at you! Look at what happened to you that I could have stopped! There's something I need to tell you and you need to listen alright?"

"No I don't think I do! I think you need to listen for once Cairne, you keep pretending that you're some kind of chivalrous knight in armor, but in reality you're just a kid who thinks the world revolves around him! I did fine without you in my life and I will continue to do fine without you! I'm a big girl now, I don't need anyone to protect me!" She then turned and stomped off, grumbling to herself as Sho and Stitch obediently followed.

"Stupid Cairne, always trying to protect me when he can't even protect his damn self" she grumbled to herself angrily as she weaved through the crowd of people "That's the whole point why I had my brothers train me, so I wouldn't be seen as weak, and I think they did a pretty damn fine job. I don't need some guy to save me, I can save my own ass just fineyahhh!" Kaitlyn winced and jumped away quickly, clutching her mangled arm as gently as she could, after she crashed into someone, mutilated shoulder first.

A sharp stinging pain traveled up her right side and she felt tears begin to form at the corners of her eyes, it hurt like a bi*ch! "Ehh, are you alright? And what did you do to you arm?" Kaitlyn glanced up at the boy who was looking at her exposed shoulder, she lightly touched the tender pink skin, she had to put some more of that cream the doctor gave her on it when they got back to the house.

The boy that stood in front of her was that new guy, Lucas, a Sceptile, she assumed to be his Grovyle from before had evolved. "I'll live. No pain no gain heh" she smiled weakly "My Feraligatr went apesh*t crazy and mauled a Grunt's Crobat, leaving nothing but its wings, so I let him take a chunk out my shoulder rather then going out on killing spree. . ."

Coughing slightly, Kaitlyn held out her free uninjured hand for a shake, deciding to introduce herself "I'm Kaitlyn, and this is Sho and Stitch" she motioned to her Pikachu and Sableye, who flanked either of her sides. She saw Lucas grin before he introduced himself "I'm Lucas. This is Krad" he paused and waved to Sho ad Stitch, then he turned to his Sceptile "You've got nothing on her Feraligatr, I have to say" he laughed at his own joke and then looked back at Kaitlyn.

"So uhh.. I really don't know what yo say." Unless you have more to say...", Lucas said, motioning to the door, in an attempt to convey his will to LEAVE the funeral.
Kaitlyn blinked at his straight forwardness "well, your surprisingly blunt" she murmured dryly "straight to the point I see" Kaitlyn gave a one armed shrug and stepped to the side "It was nice meeting you. . . I guess" she frowned slightly.

"Hey, sorry, but I don't really wanna hang around here any longer then is really necessary. I'll be sure to be more sociable next time, though" Lucas said quickly, before he exited the gym, waving goodbye before he and his Pokemon disappeared "Weird. . . but he's got the right idea" she thought with a grimace as she glanced down at her dress "C'mon you two, lets get back to the room, I'm ready to get out of this dress and I need to go shopping for some new clothes and do something about my arm. . ."

(Revive has been used on the RP. RP is at half health! Who shall use a max potion?!)

They stood there silently. The others looked very surprised, but Sahib still felt numb. The tingle in his stomach was starting to go away, and he slowly felt a little better. That's when his phone rang. Sahib sighed quietly and opened it. Sly was on the other end, practically ordering him (and the others) to get to the gym immediately. Whitney…Sahib thought, realizing that fact with complete and total ease. They all ran out the door, heading for the gym and forgetting about their wounds.

Sahib stared after them. He sighed, and slipped into one of the bathrooms in the house. Then he shed his bloody clothes, wrapped a large bandage around his stomach (he had some left over from the burn), and slipped on one of his more comfortable muscle shirts. The material didn't rub the bandage, so Sahib was set to go. He shouldered his pack once more, emptied his mind, and walked out of Bill's house.

The sight they met at the gym made Sahib even colder and number. Three people were standing outside the doors of the gym. Sahib stared Lili right in the eyes. His eyes were cold and empty, looking almost black instead of a chocolate brown. I knew it, he thought. He was angry, but couldn't will his body to show it. The Clan of Hope members flew to the gym, and gave some odd signal. Sahib guessed it was one of attack. Without really thinking, he grabbed Aerodactyl's Pokeball. I should say something, he thought, pausing in his movements.

"Are you enjoying it, Lili?" he called to her. His voice sounded rough and tired…and maybe even a little…hollow.

Liliana looked positively scared. Sahib thought of the time his mother told him his father could be very…scary. I wonder when she was on the wrong side of his anger, Sahib thought. "N-no," Lili stammered, snapping Sahib out of his thoughts. She brought out a Pokémon, and it turned out to be a Misdreavus. Sahib's lips quirked into a smirk as Aerodactyl's swooped in, jaws clamping down in a swift and fierce crunch. The Pokémon cried out in pain. "Misdreavus! Use astonish, get away from it!" Lili shouted almost desperately.

The attack worked, causing Aerodactyl to be surprised and release its jaws momentarily. Misdreavus floated away, looking injured already. Sahib stared at the ghost. He felt his stomach twist. Blood seeped into the bandage. Sahib was cool, calculating, and harsh. He was literally turning into the darker side of his father—a person he didn't even know existed. Back in the Rocket days, Sahib's father was the exact same way. Sahib laughed bitterly at the pair.

"Lili, if you didn't like it, why do it?" he called to her in a hoarse voice. "There's no logical reason…but that may be why I don't understand. Then again, we all do things we don't plan to, correct?" Sahib shook his head sadly, looking at the ground. Then his gaze moved back to her. He stared at her through the wisps of hair that trickled into his face. "Aerodactyl, I want this finished." His voice was sharp as ice. "Use crunch, and this time do not let go for any reason." It wasn't Sahib's usual move ordering voice. Now it was almost like he was a drill sergeant and he were barking the drills.

"It was a mistake!" Lili called back to him, voice shaking. Sahib's face remained blank. "I made a mistake, Sahib, can you blame me for that?"

That's when Aerodactyl made his move. He advanced on Misdreavus again, and no matter how much the Pokémon tried to get away, Aerodactyl still got to him. Lili called out to her Pokémon, telling it to do something and to get away. Aerodactyl pressed his jaws down harder and harder upon the Pokémon. Sahib heard the scream. Shrill and high. He stared at the crushing jaws of his Pokémon. Aerodactyl clamped harder. Sahib cried out for it to stop, and then he released the Pokémon.

"No more," Sahib muttered to Aerodactyl. Aerodactyl screeched, flapping his wings violently. Sahib glanced at Lili with a slightly less crazed look in his eye. "Finish it. Use ancient power."

Aerodactyl's eyes glowed, signaling the coming attack. Misdreavus retaliated before Aerodactyl could finish. It shot a confuse ray for the Pokémon. Sahib stayed silent as the attack struck, making Aerodactyl look confused. The boulders were in the air, hovering close to Misdreavus. Then they began to scatter in all directions, flying outwards and almost hitting everyone. Sahib ducked a large boulder.

Liliana, across the field, had dodged her own boulder. Aerodactyl screeched, more boulders slamming about. One smacked into Misdreavus, causing the Pokémon to get knocked out. Sahib looked at the Pokémon among the rubble.

"Return 'Dreavus," Lili said. She rounded on Sahib. "Sahib, stop him before he kills someone!" she cried.

Sahib looked at Aerodactyl. "Aerodactyl," he said calmly. The attack stopped, luckily enough. Sahib noted that Aerodactyl was somehow tired, and then figured that it was because of the fact he had probably hit himself with the boulders. Sahib nodded at Lili. He was trying to think of what to say, so until he could, he decided to keep it quiet.

"Nala, take it out with magical leaf, now!" Lili ordered, releasing her Meganium. The Pokémon released about a dozen leaves that flew directly toward Aerodactyl. Liliana had a look of…well, Sahib couldn't really tell. Remorse? Yes, he decided, vaguely noting Aerodactyl being struck by the leaves. "I'm sorry."

Sahib would not have heard, had it not been for the instant silence that somehow had come across the field. Aerodactyl was down, and Meganium was ready to take something else on. Sahib grabbed Typhlosion's Pokeball. He tossed it lightly, and the Pokémon appeared on the field in a flash of light. Typhlosion roared, the flames on his back snapping to life almost immediately. Sahib stared at the two for a brief moment.

"Typhlosion," he muttered softly, eyes planted to the ground. He glanced at Lili. "Typhlosion, start with lava plume."

"Nala, try to avoid the fire and get close to Typhlosion, I want you to poison him!" Lili ordered quickly. Sahib lifted his head, staring her in the eyes. He saw it all written out. She wanted to make sure her Meganium would be alright, and go in for the kill quick and easy. Sahib didn't really plan on letting her do that.

But now, he wondered, eyeing the battle carefully as the fire attack was barely dodged by Meganium, how shall I go about this? He saw a cloud of purple floating towards Typhlosion. Sahib looked at his Pokémon's back. Typhlosion glanced at Sahib. A mutual feeling passed between them. Sahib knew that Typhlosion was like Lili—he wanted this over as quickly as possible. In all truth, Sahib could basically say the same without regret. He didn't like fighting her. As the cloud hit Typhlosion, Sahib ordered a flame wheel.

Sahib watched the battle go back and forth. The flame had hit Nala, but only slightly. Sahib was growing annoyed. Next came a petal dance from Nala. It hit Typhlosion. Sahib grew even more annoyed. Typhlosion was faster than this. Even poisoned, Sahib knew he had battled better before. Suddenly, Sahib had a vague idea of what Typhlosion was doing. He crossed his arms and watched, ordering another lava plume. This time, the attack missed completely. It was almost as if Typhlosion were confused instead of perfectly fine. Sahib sighed, glancing at Nala.

"Typhlosion, use lava plume and it had better hit," Sahib called to his Typhlosion. Typhlosion shook his head in defiance, but then suddenly a blue aura surrounded him. Sahib felt the aura surround himself as well. He pointed, and Typhlosion actually unleashed the attack full steam. Sahib stared in surprise as the attack shot towards the Meganium. Alakazam, he soon realized, feeling another bout of annoyance overtake him. Sahib hadn't wanted any help with this, but he supposed that it just couldn't be helped.

"NALA!" Lili shrieked, watching as her Pokémon cried out. The fire hit dead on. Sahib winced, suddenly feeling bad. The attack itself cleared, but the petals around Nala's neck were still blazing with fire. Nala looked almost like the living dead. Lili called her injured Pokémon back, and then grabbed the next. She looked absolutely livid. Sahib swallowed heavily. Suddenly a shiny Absol was directly in front of him. He licked his lips slowly. "Sarabi, start with a bite!" Liliana ordered. She was shooting a rather nasty look at Sahib's Typhlosion.

"Typhlosion, dodge and use thunder punch," Sahib said calmly.

Typhlosion moved slowly, and Sahib could tell it was on purpose. Sarabi's attack struck. The Pokémon latched onto Typhlosion's paw, biting down fiercely. Typhlosion let out a roar of pain as it attempted to shake the Pokémon off. Sahib clenched his teeth, the calm feeling slowly fleeing from his body. He didn't know what he should do. Typhlosion wasn't willing to battle, so what was the point? Sahib shook his head and recalled Typhlosion, just as well considering it down for the fight.

"Let's go," he whispered, tossing Furret's Pokeball. Furret appeared happily, but then noticed who exactly his opponent was. He glanced at Sahib unsurely. "Use quick attack and follow with slam, Furret," Sahib said.

"Sarabi, use quick attack yourself!" Lili seemed strong at the beginning, but faltered at the end. She looked like she was unable to concentrate—which was basically how Sahib felt. He felt strained, but didn't know what to do.

Sarabi and Furret dodged each other's attacks. It was like an endless circle. Furret slammed into Sarabi, but Sarabi didn't fall. She just retaliated. It was futile. Sahib didn't want to fight. He wanted it to end. That giant hole that started in his stomach suddenly got bigger, leaving his eyes even more empty and soulless. Wake up, he urged himself, feeling the descent but almost helpless to stop it. At one point, he wavered and almost fell to his knees. Don't fall down, he thought, forcing himself to look at the battle and comprehend what was happening. Furret seemed to be losing.

"Please, just…say something!"

The shout made him look up. He stared at her, blinking slowly. Suddenly his fingers twitched, and he found his brain again. After another slow blink, he registered her face. She looked almost desperate. Sahib felt the wound—the physical one—in his gut twinge. He let out a slow breath, mustering up his senses and coming back down to the world. Lili looked horrible. Sahib felt horrible. It was just a big mess of horrible. Furret was in position for a perfect slam. So, without knowing why, his legs suddenly propelled him in front of Sarabi. Furret smacked into his chest, and all three tumbled backwards. Sahib choked, accidentally biting on his tongue. The warm tang of blood filled his mouth.

What am I doing this for?! He shouted silently. Furret was sitting on his chest, looking down at him sadly. Sarabi had sprang backwards towards Lili. Sahib set Furret off of him and slowly got to his feet. Sarabi crouched lowly, radiating protectiveness. Sahib ignored her and approached Lili. Sarabi growled lowly.

"Something," Sahib muttered, looking down at her.

Liliana let out a breath that came out as a shaky laugh. "W-why did you do that?" she asked.

"You told me to say something," he responded. "As for the move," he said, "that's what all of the cool guys in the movies do." He put on a straight face to seem completely serious.

A small smile appeared on her face. "And, did you find it worked just as well as it does in movies?"

"Well, it hurt like ****," Sahib replied. "And I didn't even get a consolation prize."

Lili shifted. "So…what now?" she questioned.

Sahib glanced about. The battle was not going to continue unless she started it up again—it was over. "What's going to happen now?" Her voice was weak and small. She looked like she was refusing from saying something.

He stared down at her with soft eyes. For some reason, he just couldn't bring himself to hate her. She could've made out with that Tristan jerk right in front of him, and he would've blamed him and not her. Sahib wasn't sure what he should say. Should he try to be mad and yell? Should he forgive her? So, instead of mulling it over too much, he simply pulled her against him in a hug. He was being lazy and decided not to bend down, so she was more or less snuggled against his chest.
"I don't know," he muttered in reply.

What happened next surprised him. When they pulled away, she looked innocent. And then WHAM. Sahib was doubled over, one hand pressed to his aching stomach.

"That," she declared, "was for being so…weird!"

Sahib groaned. "Remind me never to be weird around you," he grumbled. "Do I get to punch you now?" he asked sarcastically. Sahib straightened up and cocked and eyebrow at her.

"Didn't your parents ever teach you that you're not allowed to hit girls?" she teased. She pulled him in another hug, standing on her toes so she could put her arms around his neck. Sahib smiled softly, obviously not going to punch her.

"Well, you see," he explained in a whisper against her ear, "my mother was awfully tomboyish. She thought if guys could hit guys, guys can…attempt to hit her." Sahib remembered a time where his "uncle" had tried to get away with the guys hitting girls thing. He had gotten kicked in the…well…let's just not talk about that.

She laughed at that. Sahib grinned a little, immensely liking it when she laughed now. That was when she kissed him. It was quick, and over before Sahib could do much. "Ehm…" she was blushing, obviously unsure of what she had just done. "Sorry…forget about that." She looked so embarrassed, Sahib smirked. He thought it was rather cute.

"Does it look like I mind?" Sahib muttered in reply. He pressed his lips to hers gently. Sahib pulled back a few seconds later, feeling rather accomplished of himself. He didn't let it show on his face, but inwardly he was having a huge guy-ego-moment. Ha, suck THAT Tristan, he thought. Sahib was so happy and triumphant he felt like he was floating on air.

Suddenly she was gone. Sahib had one of those WTF?!?! expressions on his face. He looked at the spot where she had been. "What the ****!?" he growled.

Come on you guys, I'm back and it's about time we wake this RP up, I'mma catch up in my posts and I hope you all do the same! I'm going to replace this with my post after Luigi-a and I discuss our post!

Now what do you say Face, can we go back to being friends and partners? Scythe asked holding his hand out in a gesturly way hoping Face would finally go back to his old self.

"Pika..." Chukapis sighed as the huge Ursaring standing before him started to calm down a bit.

"Ura---saring" the huge bear cried as a tear rolled down it's face and it jumped at Scythes face like it used to when it was a teddiursa causing Scythe to jump away in fear.

"How about we don't do that anymore your a little bigger now Face you'd probably crush me, but i'm glad your back!" Scythe said happily laughing with his old friend as he returned face to his pokeball. "Ah lets return to Bills and take a break Chukapis" Scythe said as the two of them make there way back to Bills house.

They then notice Gage and Alakazam sitting there along the outside of Bills house and he looks up to Scythe "It's beautiful isn't it?" He says to you smiling in his suit. For a second Scythe pause's wondering what he is talking about. He then continues.

"The sunset I mean... It's beautiful... You live as long as I do and you stat to appreciate the smallest of things..." He removes his black glasses and tucks them into his shirt. His eyes are weighed down with bags and he looks much wearier than he holds himself. "Take a seat... Sit right on down." He says. Scythe sits down next to the old man, he had alot of apperciation for him after all the things his seen and he is still able to continue on like this, it's a tough thing to do.

"Death can be a scary thing." He says still not making eye contact. "I was dead for a little bit... Least everyone thought I was..." He laughs. "That was back in the old days... Back when Angela and I were the only Clan of Hope members with pokedex's....." He looks at you as the sky turned purple.

Scythe looks at him astonished for a bit.. <He was dead... how could that even be possible? I guess I shouldnt even have to question that after everything i've seen> Scythe wonders to himself.

"It was quite frightening, don't you agree Spoons?" He says to the Pokemon at his right.

"Quite...." Comes a deep echoing voice into your mind. To some this may be familiar and to others it could be frightening.

"Darkness is returning... And death along with it... Trust me when I say darkness is quite alluring... But dont let it engulf you, dont succumb to your anger... You play with fire and you get burned." He says pulling up one of his sleeves and revealing a horrid burn going all the way down his arm.

"You along with the other dex holders are the only ones who are keeping the balance between us and them... There is a fine line you see... And you are the one who defines it." The Alakhazams voice echoes into your mind once more.

"Well put Spoons... Keep safe please...." Scythe notices a tear come down his cheek and begin to wonder why. He puts his black glasses back on and clears his throat. "Please... Excuse me...." He stands up and walks away. He strides off down the street with his Pokemon at his side towards the gym.

"Well Chukapis, that sure was intresting, if the darkness is returning then we have to stop it, just like Grecko and Gage and the whole Clan of Hope did years ago" Scythe says with motivation as he stands up and raises his fists in the air.

"PIKA PIKA!" Chukapis shouts very motivated by the speech, the two of them then enter the house and see Grecko and Shaun standing there talking amongst themselves.

Scythe slowly walks up to them and decides to say hello to Grecko but to his surprise he doesn't hear him, it's almost as if he doesn't even see him. Scythe then turns to Shaun who just smiles with that errie smile of his, and something does not feel right about this. All of a sudden Grecko starts to speak.

"Chukapis?? Wheres Scythe at?" Grecko as Chukapis a little worried about the Scythe since he has kinda taking a liking to him. Chukapis then tries to point at Scythe but to his avail Grecko does not see him.

"Chukapis return.... This isn't good.. not good at all..." Scythe says as he races outside. He starts walking around Goldenrod trying to get people to notice him but no one gives him the time of day... "What the hell is going on here..." Scythe says as he remebers Gages speech earlier and wonders if he is just trying to prove a point about death.. but no this was all to real.

"Excuse me can I have a second?" a creepy voice says from behind as Scythe turns to see a man in a black cloak. For a second Scythe almost mistook this man for the black cloaked man, but no this man was different.. there was literally darkness oozing from every pore on this mans body and Scythe could feel himself shake with fear... It was that bad.

"You seem to be lost?" he says as he reaches down into his boot and pulls out a dagger.

"Who are you and what is going on?!?! Scythe asked in an angered and nervous way as he tries to reach fo Chukapis pokeball.

"HAHAHAHA" the man laughs hysterically as Scythe looks down to see to shadows grab ahold of his ankles as he tries to shake free two more come from the ground and quickly wrap around his wrists and pull him to the ground. The man then kneels down next to Scythe slowly sliding the dagger up and down his fingers. He then pulls Scythes shirt up to his chest revealing his stomach.

"Ah let me go!!" Scythe yells in fear, he had never felt this uneasy and scared before in his life... not even during the incident with the Nidoking.

"I've been trapped here for so long.... I have forgotten the feeling I get when I kill another person, but when I over heard your conversation with Gage I just couldn't resist you see I have been following all these damn Clan of Hope members around for a very long time, and soon I shall have my revenge" he says as Scythe starts to wonder who this man is, but an idea and a name slowly form in his head, and his eyes turn to pure fear. He then takes the dagger and slices a small gash across Scythes stomach and takes then licks the blood off the dagger.

"Ahhhh!" Scythe yells in pain.

"Oh that tasted just as delicious as my last kill, although my last kill was more of a reward, finally riding myself of that meddlesome Zypher I thought I would finally rule the world with him out of the way… but boy did I get careless" he says as he finally removes his hood. Scythe is now staring into pure white eyes and finds himself almost in somekind of trance. The man then stands up and turns away from Scythe.

"PIKA!!" Chukapis shouts as it busts out of it's ball and blasts a bolt of electricity at him but before the bolt could hit a shield of shadows formed around the man completly proctecting him. The shadows then start pelting chukapis before finally knocking him out... Scythe started to feel helpless now... The man finally turns around again.

"It is amazing what darkness can do you for you if you embrace it, much like those three of your comrades to bad I can't give it away, I do say I enjoy being able to watch everything unfold without being noticed" the man says as you realize some of your friends have taken the wrong path and you start to wonder who… The man kneels down and slowly pushes the point of the dagger into Scythes neck.. "The crazy thing about this realm is you can't die, but that's the fun" he says as the grin gets bigger before he finally takes the dagger away and stands up…

"As much fun as this has been I have to go do this to the others, you know put a little scare in them… after all you can't start to get to relaxed with the end of the world coming soon can you?" he says laughing hysterically as he snaps his fingers and there Scythe lay in the middle of Goldenrod City with people staring at him. His stomach still slashed open blood covering his shirt he quickly reutrns Chaukapis back to his pokeball and makes his way back to bill's... There he finds the a few of the other Dex holders they as well have blood covering there shirts and fear in there eyes... The fear was so bad they all could only mutter one word..

"Beo...."

((Love this post. And be glad I didn't go all Sadism with is as Fenris wanted me to go))

Coming back to the house Liliana was truly happy. The day had come to a real ruddy start, but it had righted itself in the end. Gage was sitting in front of the house, absentmindedly gazing up at the sky with his Alakazam, and Lili still felt happy. She smiled at the man as he looked at her.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" He asked as he turned his eyes back to the sunset. "The sunset I mean… I beautiful. .. You live as long as I do and you start to appreciate the little things." When he removed his glasses she saw that he had terrible bags under his eyes. Kind of like hers, hidden under the cover-up. "Take a seat." She did so, taking up the chair next to the Alakazam.

"Death can be a scary thing." Lili suddenly looked up to that. It had been unexpected, but Gage was still watching the sky. "I was dead for a little bit… At least everyone thought I was…" a shaky laugh. "That was back in the old days… Back when Angela and I were the only members with Pokédex'. It was truly frightening, don't you agree Spoons?"

Quite. Liliana flinched a little in surprise of the voice, though voices in her head shouldn't really be strange to her anymore. You'd think she'd be a Shizo.

"Darkness is returning... And death along with it... Trust me when I say darkness is quite alluring... But dont let it engulf you, dont succumb to your anger... You play with fire and you get burned." He pulled up his sleeve to reveal a terrible burn running up his arm. "Oh my god," Lili muttered.

You along with the others are the only ones who are keeping the balance between us and them... There is a fine line you see... And you are the one who defines it.

"Well put Spoons... Keep safe please...." A tear slid down his cheek and Liliana wondered why. What he knew. Paranoia was etching the back of her brain. He put on his glasses and excused himself, leaving a baffled Lili sitting at the porch watching the last bit of the sun submerge behind the buildings.

In the end she went into the building, now truly cold as the sun's warmth disappeared and her dress was still damp. When she came inside she heard Shaun and Grecko talking, but she paid no heed to them and continued up the stairs. That's when Spoon's voice echoed in her mind once more. There's a thin line between us and them… But she ignored it and went to take a nice warm shower, determined to wash the worries away with it.

Coming out of the shower she wrapped a towel around her wet hair, slipped into the long t-shirt that she used as a night-gown and curled up under the blankets. She was still thinking happy-thoughts when she slipped into dreams. Happy Sahib stuff. Happy Tristan stuff. You know, the girly thing, she was a girl after all. She was even having a blissful sleep when it got rudely interrupted.

"Psht!" Her eyes flew wide open. It was that annoying psht, the one that's not even really soft and more of a hiss. And she stared into the face of Shaun, and two men behind him. "Good morning sleepy heads!" His face was decorated with a grin that could only be described as twisted. Completely and totally psychopathically twisted. He offered her a hand, but she refused and stood up on her own. The damp towel that had been wrapped in her hair fell to the ground and her hair was still in wet tangles. And she also noticed that she was still wearing her Tee, and was feeling really self-conscious, tugging on it, trying to get it to get longer.

"What do you want?!" Cairne said, frankly, in quite a rude tone. Liliana didn't think it would be too wise to be rude to someone so powerful, but that was just her.

"Remember that scientist that we happened to procure on the last invasion? It seems he has finally come to consciousness and we need a little help in out interrogation."

"Why can't you do it yourself?" This time it was Damion. Seriously what was up with these kids and their rudeness, it was going to cost them their heads. Good thing that Shaun was overlooking it. Probably purposefully.

"Well... You see... Three reasons... One, I feel like you kids need to bond some more... Two, he will probably be more shaken if he sees the people who defeated him so easily.. And three... I feel like you kids need a better taste of what we do.."

"So how exactly do you want us to do this?" Lili asked, deciding for the more, I'll-do-what-you-want-please-don't-hurt-us approach.

"Well, you have monsters with magical powers, use your imagination." Wait, what?! We are supposed to actually… torture… a man? "I want to know several things in particular. I want to know how they managed to bring Giovanni back, how they got in here, and how exactly they developed the rage technology...."

Someone offered her a white cloak and she looked back to see it was Johannes, his eternal sad smile plastered on his face. She smiled back and whispered a thanks as she wrapped the cloak securely around herself.

They were lead to a room that was stereotype for interrogation. It was dark, there was a chair with the man on it, and a lamp above him. "Oh God…" Lili muttered. She couldn't do this. Seriously, she couldn't. They all stood awkwardly deciding what to do. Neither of them really wanted to torture, but they all knew that it had to be done anyway. In the end it was Cairne that spoke up.

"Look, either way, we have to do it. Might as well get this over with."

"You're not serious?!" Liliana retorted. Torture? Okay, she did have the -do-what-you-want-please-don't-hurt-us reproach before, but this was ridiculous. There was a lot she would do, but not this. "You're not really thinking about torturing the man, are you?"

Damion stepped in here. "Look, the man wants us to get answers, we get answers. It would probably not be good for us not to get answers. Besides, the guy's Team Rocket, he's worse than we are. He probably deserves it anyway." At this the man's eyes widened in fear and he turned dangerously pale.

"I can't believe this!" with that Liliana stepped outside, slammed the door, and leaned down against that same door, shaking. Yes, she was afraid of Shaun, and what he might do to anyone that would rebel. But torture, it wasn't right. She heard shuffling inside the door… And then the screaming started.

Liliana put her hands over her ears to try to block it out, and even if she had succeeded, the images in her head were still there. She couldn't keep from visualizing, from thinking. Her stomach churned and she threw up beside the door. The screaming stopped, and started again. Whatever they were doing, it was terrible. Her body was shaking all over, but she managed not to puke again. Instead she slumped against the wall and ended up crying.

The screaming went on, some almost panicked voices behind the door that surely weren't the Rocket's and Lili's body trembled even harder. She tried to think happy thoughts. Back at the happiness she had felt at the game corner, and at the pond. Back walking with Tristan. She tried to get her mind to them, but she couldn't. She couldn't even get her mind to her family. Nothing worked.

She didn't know how long it took, but after a while the screaming stopped. Some voices inside the room that were clearly Damion and Cairne, and the door opened. Lili quickly wiped the tears from her face. The two boys also seemed to be very shaken and scared. Damion the most, he was after all, still just a boy.

She stood up slowly, using the wall as support, she walked a little ahead of them, ignoring them, but the two of them talked. "I-I can't do this." It was Damion. Then why did you do it? was Lili's though, but she didn't voice it.

"Me neither. It's gone on too long. We-" Cairne seemed a bit lost for some seconds. "We need to get out of this. Now."

They walked along for a bit in silence before Damion spoke up. "But… How? He won't just let us go."

"Look, man, we need to try." Was Cairne again. "Let me do the talking, I might be able to get us out of here. Liliana?" She didn't respond, but after a few seconds she looked back in question. "Are you with us?"

"Yes." It came out slightly hoarse, but she didn't care. She couldn't go on with this. Neither of them could. It was only the question of how well Shaun would take the news…

Lugi-a: Wow is all I can say! You protrayed Cairne and Damion just how I could imagine them... that was a great post!

Fenris
Volume 2
Chapter 5
Am I just as bad as them?

Post 1
Is this really happening?

After Lily, Cairne, and Damion vanished into the shadows you hear a faint cry from inside the gym and take off running towards it. Once inside you find Grecko not letting you pass but you can see a glimpse of Sly and Gage, and Sly is crying while Gage is squating down with a very serious look on his face.

"She didn't make it, we lost her..." Grecko says as you see a very frustrated look on his face, the heros of the past are worn down and they can't take much more of this... Thats when you hear words you never thought you would hear from someone as strong as Grecko..

"It's over... your free to go do whatever just stay out of trouble" he says as he pushes you from the gym. It makes perfect sense especially with everything that just happened in the last few days... The revival of Giovanni and team rocket, some members of the clan went astray, we lost another gym leader and the darkness is growing.

You head back to Bills and gather up your items, during this time you should talk about your feelings with all of the current happenings, including the fact that Lily the one person in the group you were closest to lied to you..

Finally as you leave you don't really know where to go from here, you've been fighting the Dark Brotherhood so long that it feels being able to make your own decsions right again. But that feeling doesn't last long as you are suddenly approached by a mysterious women.

"Sahib come with me we have a job for you" she says as you follow her.

After a long walk which lasted almost a full day you finally arrive at a strange rock formation, the women taps on it in various ways and the rocks move apart showing an entrance to what you now realize to be a secert base. Once inside you see many team rocket members and the lady finally stops and turns to you.

"It's time for you to keep your word you are now a part of Team Rocket, and your first mission is a very important one, to be given to you by none other then giovanni himself... You see he finds you very intriguing" she says as she leads you into a room and sitting there with an oxygen mask on a big grin comes across his face.

"Ah Sahib its good to finally meet you in person i've heard so much about you from your father" he says in a weak raspy voice. You quickly question him about your mission. And he starts to laugh.

"Oh I knew you had to be the one to do this Sahib, this mission will prove to me that you should be one of my admins and that you are strong enough, so your first mission just requires you to do a little cleaning up, one of our oldest members has grown a little soft and i'm afraid he knows to much we need you to kill him, he won't even see it coming" he says as you ask him where to find this person.

"Just head down the hall and to the left once there head down the stair case and its your first door on the left, he should be working in the lab right now.." You then head out as part of you contemplates if any of this makes you any better then Lily being in the Dark Brotherhood... Before you can open the door to the lab the mysterious lady once again approaches you.

"If you chose to fail this mission for any reason you will be terminated Sahib just know this"

Finally you open the door to the lab and the person standing there is none other then your very own father...

Post 2

"We want out." So that was Cairne's brilliant plan, to just blurt it out like that?! Shaun's eyebrows shot up in a 'orly' kind of way.

"Isn't that a shame."A sharp pain as Liliana's arm was twisted behind her back and something sharp and metal was pressed against her neck, but with the flat side, not the sharp side. One look At Cairne with his knife pressed so hard against his neck that a thin line of blood was forming, and it was enough for her to wonder who it was that held her. She had her suspicion, and it got answered. "I told you that you wouldn't be able to get out," came a hiss in her ear that she knew too well.

Tristan tightened his grip on her arm and she winced in pain, he was mad. Very mad. "Are you stupid?!" He hissed. "Do you have a deathwish?"

"No, no, let them go." Shaun spoke in an almost bored tone, as if the cloaked guys had been silly, even though it was obvious this had been planned, that Shaun had seen through them all along. It was infuriating. No doubt that Tristan had chosen to participate to protect her, in his own strange ways. Instead of warning her before hand, he had instead chosen to be the one to detain her. Even though he had warned her.

She rubbed the arm that he had held behind her back a few seconds prior, and it was red. It would develop a bruise later, she could feel it. But at least her neck didn't get cut like Cairne, and Damion seemed very shaken too.

"If you do one job for me," Shaun continued. "I will be sure to release you from the Dark Brotherhood, and I will swear that it is not an attempt to stab you in the backs." Yeah, like that was reassuring.

"I want you to guard Whitney's gym. That's all. It is in the middle of the night, or morning I should say, you shouldn't be seen. It will only be for a short while, while we take care of Whitney herself."

Lili was made to exchange Johannes' white cloak for a black one. She glanced back at Tristan, who was shaking his head with an expression she couldn't place. All three of them were then transported to right in front of the gym, where they did what they were asked. They stood guard.

"Do you trust him?" Damion asked Liliana, but she just ignored him. She had still not forgiven them for the torture. "I mean, he did give his word, right. Just this and we were free. So it should be all right."

"Are you crazy?!" Cairne snapped at him. "I don't trust him even a bit, he's a sneaky bastard, that one." Before Damion could answer, all at once, people started appearing. Like some sort of twisted chain reaction.

The Clan of Hope members.

That was when all hell broke loose. Suddenly there were black and white cloaks everywhere, dashing toward the Clan, and some others. Panic came over Lili as she noticed that the other ones of their group were also there.

She saw Sahib. He was staring right at her, an unreadable expression that quickly turned cold. Ice cold. He made his way through the moving mass of people, straight for her. Suddenly Liliana had the impulse to run. Flight or Fight reaction it was called, and it was kicking in. She could feel her heartbeat run a mile a minute. She wanted to run, oh god how she wanted to run. To just take off and hide from everything. But she couldn't. It wasn't that she couldn't emotionally, but she couldn't physically. She was rooted on the spot with fear.

"Are you enjoying it, Lili?" His voice sounded wrong, just wrong. He was almost frightening. No, not almost. He was frightening. She wanted to shout. To tell him that she didn't want this, that she was getting out of it. But she couldn't. All she could was stammer.

"N-no," it sounded pathetic. Positively pathetic. He grabbed a Pokéball. Aerodactyl. Out of pure autonomics her hand reached for her own, she released it and it was Misdeavous. A smirk played across Sahib's face and all Lili could think about is how incredibly wrong it looked. It wasn't him. His Aerodactyl moved in on Misdreavous and his jaws came down hard on him. Misdreavous screeched in pain. "Misdreavous, use astonish, get away from it!" another automatic, as if the command had been pre-programmed into her brain.

Aerodactyl fell for it, and released Misdreavous in surprise as the attack hit, but he already looked like he could fall down any minute. A bitter laugh came from Sahib, and once again Liliana's instinct wanted to run. "Lili, if you didn't like it, then why do it?" His voice was hoarse. "There's no logical reason… But that may be why I don't understand. But then again, we all do things we don't plan to, correct?" He shook his head before looking back at her again. "Aerodactyl I want this finished. Use Crunch, and don't let go for any reason." Ice had seeped into his voice, and the command was brutal beyond belief. The Aerodactyl was a killing machine.

"It was a mistake!" Lili blurted out, her voice was shaking, and her body started to do the same, even though she was willing it to stay still. "I made a mistake, Sahib, can you blame me for that?!" Aerodactyl once again moved in on Misdreavous. The ghost tried to get away, but had no chance. "Misdreavous, do something! Get away!" It was desperate, it was useless. The brutal Pokémon clamped his jaws over Misdreavous and bit down. There was an almost human scream from the Pokémon, it put Lili back to the torture room. Liliana shook her head, trying to get the image out of her head. In the meantime Sahib told his Pokémon to release.

"Finish it, use Ancient Power." Determination returned to Lili a bit. This was not how it was going to go, she had to do something to save Misdreavous. So she called for the only thing she thought would help. Confusion Ray.

It worked, and the extinct Pokémon looked confused. Then builders started flying everywhere. Lili ducked to the ground to avoid a large builder smashing her head while she saw Sahib dodge his own. Misdreavous, however, was not as lucky, and a builder smacked him dead-on. He was finished. "Return, 'Dreavous." She returned the ghost to rest. "Sahib! Stop him before he kills someone!"

Sahib turned to Aerodactyl and calmly spoke its name. The attack stopped, but Aerodactyl was panting now. Liliana, meanwhile, had release Nala. She was going to finish Aerodactyl, for what it had done to Misdreavous. Someone had to hurt it. She called for a magical leaf and the Meganium complied. A dozen or so leaves flew directly at Aerodactyl, and the creature was unable to dodge. He was down.

"I'm sorry." It was a whisper. A barely audible whisper. Lili herself didn't even know what exactly it was for. For the Pokémon? For Sahib? For herself? There was no time to linger on it, Typhlosion had been sent out, and a lava plume had been ordered.

"Nala, try to avoid the fire and get close to the Typhlosion, I want you to poison him!" It was a tough request, getting close to the fire-spitting demon, but Nala would be able to handle it. Poisoning might be the only way to take the creature out. It wasn't that Liliana wanted to win the battle, it wasn't really a big priority right now, but she wanted the least harm to be done to her Pokémon.

There was a certain feeling in the air. All three of them wanted the battle to be over, the struggle to be done with. The poisonous cloud engulfed the Typholsion, just as Sahib ordered a flame wheel. More fire was released, Nala dodged only barely, while the fire singed her hind leg a little. Lili ordered a petal dance, and Nala complied. It was going back and forth. Another lava plume was ordered, but this one missed completely.

"Typhlosion, use lava plume and this one had better hit!" There was defiance on Typhlosions face, it was holding back. It had been holding back all along. Then came a strange flash, quickly, there and gone, of blue. The fire came out at incredibly speed and hit Nala full on.

"NALA!" Liliana yelled as her Pokémon was unable to get up. She looked almost lifeless. "Return!" Another surge of anger overcome her. It was one thing to mess with her, but Nala?! She automatically grabbed a ball she knew very well, and released Sarabi. She quickly ordered a bite while Sahib ordered a thunderpunch.

The Typhlosion moves rather slowly and Sarabi hit her target, clamping down with her jaws. A roar of pain and an failed attempt to shake her off and typhlosion was recalled. Next was Furret. For one second, and one second only, Furret appeared more than happy to come out. Until it looked around. They both ordered quick attacks, and it seemed an endless circle, and Liliana felt all of her spirit disappear. Why were they even fighting each other?

"Please, just… say something!" She was afraid of what he would say, but it had to be better than the silent fighting. Anything was better. And what would she even want him to say? The he understood? That everything was forgiven? That he hated her? But maybe all she really wanted was to hear his voice, and not have him stand there, expressionless.

A pause. He looked up and stared at her, now saying anything for a few seconds. He seemed to come back, the old Sahib. And in a blink he jumped forward and between Furret, who was about to deliver a slam, and Sarabi who had been on the receiving end. Liliana gasped at the impact Furret smacked into his chest and all three of them went tumbling backwards. Sarabi quickly returned to Lili's side, and Sahib slowly got up after removing the Furret that had still been on his chest. A growl from the Absol as Sahib slowly approached.

"Something." Something? He says something?! She laughed. It was shaky, and it was weak, but it was there.

"W-why did you do that?"

"Well, you told me to say something," was his response. Really, that was not what she had meant, but he continued to answer the real question. "As for the move, that's what all the cool guys in movies do." Seriously, that guy was stupid sometimes. But it did make her smile.

"And did you find it worked just as well as in movies?" One look on his face said that it hurt a lot more than it always seemed.

"Well it hurt like ****, and I didn't even get my consolation prize." The battle had obviously ceased, and she had so painfully obviously cross over to the dark side. But what would happen now? She voiced that exact thought, mentally kicking herself for not having a stronger voice. Whatever happened to the strong and determined Liliana? Right, she was cowering in a corner of her mind at the moment.

She expected him to throw up another wall like he usually did. To mentally retreat. Or just yell at her. No, instead the stupid guy hugged her. Hugged her, seriously. It was madness. But she hugged him back nevertheless, or his chest, for that was all she could reach. "I don't know," came Sahib's reply. And when he broke away she punched him in the stomach, as hard as she could.

"That was for being so…" She searched for the right word. Crazy? Completely and totally engulfed in madness? Assholish? "… weird!" That was all that seemed to fit.

Sahib groaned as he doubled over. "Remind me never to be weird around you again. Do I get to punch you now?" The tone was obviously laced with sarcasm. He straightened up, wincing a bit.

"Didn't your parents ever teach you that you're not allowed to hit girls?" Part of the old Lili returned to her. Or the actual Lili. She quickly pulled him in a hug again, before he could respond with some come-back.

"Well, you see," he muttered. "My mother was awfully tomboyish. She thought that if guys could hit guys, guys could… attempt to hit her."

She laughed. And as if there was some surge of incredible confidence in her. Or just an otherworldly power or something -she preferred the last one- , she stood up as far as she could, and kissed him quickly. One second after came the why the hell did I do that thought. "Ehm, sorry, forget about that." She quickly said, so that it almost came out like one word. Her face felt incredibly red. Wonder why.

"Does it look like I mind?" He asked, kissing her back. This is when her stomach made itself know. Butterflies, they call them, she'd much rather call them angry killer bees. For three seconds she was happy, like the kind of happiness you found only in books. That one. Then, to use a nice metaphor here, the thin sheet of glass shattered as a force pulled her back into what she knew so well now. And everything was gone.

She was in the reverse world, but alone, thank goodness. She slumped against a wall for the second time that day and cried. What had happened could never be reversed. They knew. Everyone knew. Knew that she was one of them. And that Sahib thing. It probably hadn't meant anything, he still wouldn't have forgiven her. She had messed everything up.

A small part of her brain was still up and running. It was yelling at her. Yelling that it would have been a set-up. That Shaun had played her like she was a doll and he held the strings. His manipulative assholishness. But she didn't listen to that voice now. All she was doing is mentally beating herself up. She had, for the second time that day, the urge to puke, but she didn't.

She would have to deal. Deal with her mistakes. There was no path for little Liliana now, but the path that Shaun set out for her. She couldn't go back to the Clan of Hope for protection. She couldn't run away, they would surely find her. Her place was here. In the Reverse world. Doing whatever Shaun and the rest of the brotherhood wanted her to do. She wrapped the black cloak around her, aware that it marked who she was now.

At least there would be no deceiving anymore. No more lying. She was one of them, and that was it. One of them…

Sahib blinked slowly, half unable to comprehend what had just happened. That was when a scream sounded from within the gym. He glanced back to where Lili had been, and then took off towards the scream. Once he arrived, he was immediately blocked by Grecko. He saw two other forms and soon recognized them as Sly and Gage. Sly appeared to be crying, and Gage was squatted down. There was a serious look on his face. Sahib wondered what the heck was going on, and then Grecko decided to speak.

"She didn't make it, we lost her…" Grecko muttered. There was a look of frustration on his face. It was obvious that the old heroes were getting worn down. Soon Sahib knew they wouldn't be able to take it anymore. Grecko then continued. "It's over…you're free to go do whatever, just stay out of trouble," he decalred. He pushed Sahib away from the gym. There was a stunned look on Sahib's face. Give up? He wondered, freely leaving on his own will now. I mean…sure I complained, but…I didn't mean give…Sahib sighed and shook his head.

It probably made excellent sense, giving up. Giovanni and Team Rocket was revived, some of the clan members left, another gym leader was gone, and the darkness was growing. Soon it would consume them, even the strongest of them. Sahib stared at the ground, completely pausing in his stride. Team Rocket was back. He was following a certain path that was almost inescapable. If Team Rocket's back, Sahib thought, looking up at the sky, does that mean…? He shook his head, letting the thought trail off and leaving it open and unfinished. He then decided just to go back to Bill's. From there he would get his stuff, whilst mulling over certain areas of business. So Sahib set off, and soon he was quietly slipping inside the house.

He slowly packed his things. He wasn't sure what exactly had happened with Lili, but Sahib was about ninety percent sure that she was gone for good now. That made him feel like crap again, so he decided just to not think about it directly. I guess getting close to people really IS a stupid idea, he decided. Sahib wondered why he kept her out, let her in, kept her out, and then let her in again. It all resulted in the same thing—pain. So why bother? I don't know, he thought miserably as he finished packing everything. His mind shut up then, leaving him staring at the wall blankly. I guess…I go to Ecruteak? It was completely a question, not even an ounce of a decision. It was odd to be in charge of himself again. With a shrug, Sahib went to walk away from the house. Suddenly he was approached by an…interesting woman. Ah, here we go, Sahib thought.

"Sahib, come with me. We have a job for you," she said. She turned, and then Sahib followed her.

The little walk to get wherever they were going was long and boring. Sahib ended up having to munch on a sandwich he found in his bag because it took so long. After probably a full day (oh great, now it's dark), they arrived at some funky rocks. Sahib yawned slightly, and watched as the woman tapped on it. Soon the rocks moved apart, fully showing them an entrance to what was apparently a secret base of sorts. They went inside. Sahib saw many people—Team Rocket members—until the lady finally stopped and turned towards him. He looked at her.

"It's time for you to keep your word. You are now a part of Team Rocket, and your first mission is a very important one. It's to be given to you by none other than Giovanni himself…you see, he finds you very intriguing," she said. She then led him to another room. In it, was Giovinni and his oxygen deal. There was a big grin on his face all of a sudden. Sahib wasn't sure if he liked this grin or not.

"Ah, Sahib, it's good to finally meet you in person. I've heard so much about you from your father," he said in a weak and raspy voice. Sahib wasn't sure if he liked that either. Sahib cut to the chase and instead asked him about the mission. He wanted to get this over. He needed something to distract him. Giovanni started to laugh. Sahib didn't like that either. "Oh, I knew you had to be the one to do this, Sahib. This mission will prove to me that you should be one of my administrators and that you are strong enough. So, your first mission just requires you to do a little cleaning up, one of our oldest members has grown a little soft and I'm afraid he knows too much. We need you to kill him, he won't even see it coming." Giovanni seemed oddly pleased.

"So you want me to kill him," Sahib declared, almost surprised by how dead his own voice sounded. Here we go again, the sarcastic part of his brain thought. "So where is this guy?" Cut to the chase, once more.

"Just head down the hall and to the left. Once there, head down the staircase. It's the first door on the left, he should be working in the lab right now…" Sahib suddenly felt an odd pang reach his gut. It was uneasy, and it was a feeling he got when something was going to be bad. He frowned slightly, but nodded. The hell? He wondered as he walked out of the room.

I wonder if I'm any better than Li…those Dark Brotherhood people, Sahib mused as he followed the path Giovanni had laid out for him. Sahib paused outside the door. I guess this is it, he decided. He was about to pull on the handle, when the lady suddenly appeared out of nowhere and approached him once more.

"If you choose to fail this mission for any reason, you will be terminated, Sahib. Just know this."

And then she was gone. Sahib's gut twanged again, but he carefully pushed the door open. Suddenly he wanted to run. He wanted to scream. He wanted to do anything, anything but be here. He cursed Giovanni as a tremendous headache began to throb in his mind. His father. Sahib felt his head swim, and he began to count in his brain. It was all he could do to keep from retching up the sandwich he had consumed hours previously. When he saw his father, he saw his mother. When he saw his mother, he saw his "uncle". He saw his other uncle, and his kids. Suddenly half of his family was laid out before him, and Sahib felt like his head was splitting once more.

"He left when your mom was pregnant." Chad was drunk, so of course he was blabbing. Sahib looked at him curiously, wondering if his drunken tails were true. "Was a mistake, of course," Chad said, and then paused for a hiccup. "Team Rocket business. Apparently he was afraid they would hurt her," Chad rolled his eyes at the end of that sentence. "So poor Chad got to take care of her, and for what? Her to go back to him. 'Zactly, Hib," Chad hiccupped again. Then he took another drink from the bottle and wiped his lips.

Sahib shuddered.

"Don't listen to your uncle. Chad was just drunk." Sahib looked up at his mother. Was she telling the truth? Probably not. Sahib gave her a look that clearly said he didn't believe her. She sighed. "He was, but your father was…" she trailed off, "ashamed of it." Sahib frowned. So he had left them.

"But mommy," Sahib said, attempting to look out at the tall window above the sink. Curse his shortness. "Why do you still act sad now when daddy leaves?" It was an innocent enough question. Right?

His mother faltered. She paused and stared out the dark window a long time before answering. "I just miss him a lot. I just don't want him to get hurt and never…come back…" she said the last part so soft, Sahib wasn't sure he heard her properly. Not come back? Why wouldn't he come back if he got hurt? Of course he would.

"Mommy, you're silly," Sahib said. A toothy grin was plastered to his face and his dark brown eyes sparkled. "Daddy's tough, he's not gonna stay away. 'Cuz he loves you!" Sahib grinned up at his mother, and she shook her head but a smile was on her face.

Sahib's head took another dangerous spin.

Fenris: Wow, great post very insightful towards how Sahib is feeling right now, and his reaction to when he sees hes father... Can't wait to see what choice you go with!

Volume 2
Chapter 5
The Future
Post 1
You find yourself sitting in the reverse world all alone thinking of the events that just unfolded. There was no turning back, the life you lived before has ended at least thats how you see it. You wonder where Carine and Damion are, and even if Shaun was able to get away with the murder of Whitney. As these thoughts rush through your mind you slowly drift off to sleep.
"Oh Liliana it's time for you to wake up" an errie voice whispers in your ear. You awaken to find not a soul around and a creepy chill goes up your spin. All of a sudden the reverse world changes scenerary but at the same time it did not change very much at all... You are now lying on the ground, the ground though seems to have been scorched and it a barren waste land, you notice a few torn down buildings and the sky, oh the sky.... The sky is shrouded in shadows complete and utter darkness, all around you is destruction and the smell of death.
"You don't recognize this place do you?" as the voice whispers into her ear again, looking around there is still no one in sight. "This is Olivine city, five years from your time" the voice whispers again. You find this hard to believe until you come across a very reconginzable building... Your old home, although it is very worn down and barley standing.
You start screaming questions asking what has happened to the world.
"Why you happened to this world, you and your friends are the cause of this" The voice says. You can't believe what he just said and you start questioning him more.
"Oh my poor Liliana it's very simple, you and your friends along with the Dark Brotherhood killed the defenses of the world, the gym leaders" he says... You realize that Shauns plans went through and he may very well rule the world now... You then ask a very simple question.... "Who are you"... But to your avail there is no answer this time... You walk into the room that used to be your bedroom and standing in front of your face is Sahib, but there is no life in him, his body turned to pure stone as his arm is reaching out for something.. Pain.. Pain in his eyes... Something happened here but how could someone become stone? What has the power to do that, surely not even Shaun has that kind of power, at least from what you felt from him. Finally you hear footsteps coming from behind you.
"Well isn't this just a crazy sight?" the voice of a young women says as you turn around to see yourself standing there... Although she looks older, and she seems to have lost all of her spirit she was enshrouded in shadows now, even her eyes are lifeless.

Mirror Mirror on the wall, whose the evilest of them all?
"I see you've found Sahib..." she says not even moving.
You ask yourself how this happened.
"He did it... He did it to everyone... The old champions of the past... Scythe, Sahib, Daimon, Cairne, Lucas, Kaitlyn, and Kenneth... There bodies now statues of failed "Heroes" spread throughout the different regions to stand as a symbol that no one should challenge his might." You ask her how Shaun could have done this...
"Shaun?! haha don't get me started Shaun could not even grasp the kind of power our real leader has" she says as she grabs a pokeball from her belt releasing her version of Nala, Nalas skin is now black and shadows flow from her body. "Our leader kept me alive because I embraced it and become the most loyal, now I have so much power it's increadible" she says. You realize something is not right her as Nala creeps closer to you. "But this isn't what I wanted.... I'm going to kill you and put myself out of this misery" she says as she orders Nala to attack.
You must now battle yourself:

You are no match for this ledgendary beast and your future self makes her way over to you as shadows swirl around you and pull you to the ground. You try to wiggle but its no use... She pulls a sharp knife from her belt and walks over to you but suddenly stops and bows as another strange figure in a black cloak approaches you...

"That is enough Liliana" he says as you recognize the voice as the whispering man... This man just feels like darkness and you can't help but shudder in fear.. "You weren't about to kill your old self to get out of your destiny now were you?" he asks her as she slowly starts to back away from him... The man removes a long golden staff from his cloak.. Along the staff is five pokeballs going up it and at the very top is the sixth one making it the ball of the staff.

"It seems you have failed me like the others, oh well your time is up Liliana you've done your worth" he says as she tries to run but a beam of shadows come out of the top ball on the staff as Suicune jumps in the way and is turned to stone... "Ahh what a waste of a ledgendary pokemon,, now your turn!" he says as another beam shots out from the staff and finally hits Liliana in the back turning her into stone, her lifeless body falling to the ground.

You continue to struggle and wiggle but you can't break free. The man approaches you..

"Oh i'm not going to hurt you.. I brought you here for a reason, I wanted you to see this so you realize what your destiny is... and so you won't make the mistake of opposing me if you were smart" he says as he starts busting out in laughter and finally snapping his fingers you reappear in the reverse world...

That was when he looked over. Sahib's father's eyebrow arched. His dark eyes met Sahib's slightly lighter ones. Sahib licked his lips. He felt like a lost puppy. He wanted to whimper and scoot his way home, ears back and tail tucked between his legs. He didn't want to be here. His father asked him something, but Sahib couldn't register it. His brain was doing that thing where it wasn't functioning properly. Instead, Sahib ran at his father. He knocked into his father's open arms, buried his face against the familiar softness of one of his sweaters, and refused to let go. Sahib vaguely felt his eyes water, but he wasn't sure if the tears fell into the dark blue material or not. It was in that brief amount of time that his mind began to scream at him.

His mother was going to hate him forever. She would be crushed. Chad would be happy—he could lift her up, right? Mom's not like that, Sahib's brain screamed at him, and you know that! She would do that thing she always did. She'd put on that jester/happy face and pretend like nothing was wrong when she'd be dying on the inside. Sahib knew that he couldn't kill his father, but what if they didn't make it out alive? What if his dad didn't make it? What if he didn't make it? Who would tell his mother? Sahib squeezed his eyes shut and tried to block thoughts of death from his overactive brain. His father stayed silent, and Sahib was thankful. His father wouldn't try for small talk. He'll make…he…it…I…dad…Sahib choked on his thoughts, and this time he was sure that his tears melted into the material.

"Sahib," his father muttered. The soft voice made it worse. Sahib didn't want to hear it. "What's going on?"

"Dad," Sahib whimpered.

"Sahib," his father said in that familiar warning tone.

Sahib looked at the scrapes on both of his knees. That was when they really started to hurt. Seconds later, two big fat tears rolled down Sahib's face and he started hiccupping softly. There was a quiet sigh, shuffle, and then he was being picked up and held against his father's shoulder. Sahib wrapped his arms around his neck and buried his face against his shoulder. His father began to walk, but he stayed silent. Sahib bit his lip.

"I'm sorry," he mumbled, face turning slightly red though you wouldn't have been able to tell.

His father didn't reply. Instead he opened the door to the house and set Sahib up on the kitchen counter. There was blood trailing down from the cuts now. Sahib looked down, and then regretted it. So he looked at the table in the center of the kitchen. His father began to clean the wound. "You shouldn't have been playing there," his father stated calmly. "I told you it's not safe. The rocks are sharp and slippery, Sahib." Sahib ducked his head, and peered at his father through his longish hair. His father was still carefully cleaning the wound. His jaw wasn't too tense though, so that was good.

"Daddy…I didn't…" Sahib began. "I…I mean…" he faltered, unsure of how else he could apologize. "I'm sorry," he tried again. It came out as another whimper.

His father tossed the dirty cotton swab in the trash and then went about putting gauze pads on the large cuts. Once he was done, he sighed. Sahib looked up at his father apprehensively. "I suppose I shouldn't say much," his father admitted. "I was probably worse." Sahib grinned. His father picked him up again, and Sahib hugged him tightly. "Just be more careful, and play somewhere else." Sahib nodded against his father's shoulder.

"Giovanni wanted me to kill you," Sahib said in a rush. His father stilled, but didn't show too much surprise. Sahib looked at his face. They were virtually the same height now, so that worked rather well. "…Dad?"

"Listen, son, we can get out of here if we work together…" his father trailed off. Sahib's father didn't trail off. This wasn't going to end well. "But there's a possibility we won't come out alive. There are most likely guards standing outside this very door waiting for you to come out. They want you to kill me because I know Giovanni's master plan, and they think I'm a liability. Either way, incase anything happens to me take this." He handed Sahib a slip of folded paper. Sahib put it in his pocket silently.

"But dad…" Sahib muttered.

His father knew what Sahib was going to say. "You can get back up again. I can't always be there when you fall, but no matter where I am I'll pick you up again. That's one promise I'm not going to break." That was when Sahib knew. His father wasn't planning on both of them getting out alive. Sahib bit down on his lip so hard he drew blood. His eyes stopped watering. Sahib figured he could break down later. His father quickly told Sahib the plan of action, and then it was time to go. Sahib focused on the task at hand. It was all he could do.

Alakazam was released, and the plan begun. Alakazam blew open the door with a psychic attack, and the members rushed in. With Alakazam's help, Sahib and his dad totally kicked some Rocket ass. Sahib was loosing himself in the fight, making sure his brain was turned off and he was just acting. If he would've been thinking, he would've been falling. Suddenly Pokémon were brought out, so Sahib grabbed two Pokeballs without thinking about that either. As he released his Blastoise and Aerodactyl, a giant wall of flame exploded to his right. Sahib glanced over and saw his father's Charizard using his blast burn attack. That alone took out three of the Pokémon. A Nidorino and Machoke stood opposite of Sahib.

"Blastoise, make sure not to get close unless you have to. Use water pulse on Nidorino," Sahib ordered sharply. This was not a time to screw up. "Aerodactyl get close to that Machoke and use wing attack."

Blastoise sent a swirling stream of water directly for Nidorino. It slammed into the large Pokémon, causing it to skid back several paces. Machoke charged at Aerodactyl, obviously ready to use one of the horrid attacks in its arsenal. There was a screech, and then Aerodactyl was beating on the fighting type with his wings. Sahib glanced at Blastoise. Nidorino was slowly advancing forward, and Sahib soon figured out why. It was using a horn attack to slowly cut through the stream of water. Before Sahib could warn Blastoise, it was too late. Nidorino slammed into Blastoise with his horn, and then followed up with a double kick.

Blastoise let out a roar of surprise, and Sahib just went for it. He ordered an aqua tail attack. The attack slammed into Nidorino, causing the Pokémon to cry out as it got pounded into the ground. A dent resided where Blastoise had attacked. Meanwhile, Aerodactyl was having some issues. Machoke had somehow managed to knock it down with a vital throw, and managed to use revenge. Aerodactyl looked like it was close to finished.

"Blastoise use water pulse on Machoke to distract it. Aerodactyl you finish it off with wing attack!" Sahib called, momentarily forgetting about the Nidorino. As his Pokémon attacked, he looked at the purple monster. It was slowly getting up, obviously not giving Sahib too much time to counter.

Blastoise's attack struck the proper mark. Machoke was slammed backwards and into the wall, giving Aerodactyl the perfect opportunity. It slammed into the fighter, and the Pokémon went down. It was out. Nidorino slammed into Blastoise from behind, but then Aerodactyl followed up with a crunch attack. Suddenly they were both down, and somehow Sahib had quickly won the fight. Probably luck, he thought. He looked at his father.

There's too many, he silently thought. His father nodded slightly. With a small sigh, his father ordered for a confusion. Sahib watched as every single one of them grew confused. It would only be brief, so they bolted for the exit. Sahib quickly recalled his Pokémon as he ran, but suddenly they were stopped. A Nidoking was blocking the way, and Giovanni was directly beside it. Sahib cursed mentally, and glared at Giovanni.

"It's a shame you decided to go with this course of action," Giovanni said. "Nidoking." Nidoking roared and charged. They turned to run, but the path was cut off. They were trapped. Sahib backed up to his father and looked up at him.

A glint of a tear caught the light. No, Sahib thought desperately. No, his mind echoed. He grew choked. He couldn't breathe. Sahib took several gasping breaths.

"Remember what I told you," his father said hoarsely. Sahib ground his teeth together. A soft groan still escaped his lips. "Run, Sahib," his father muttered. Alakazam threw Nidoking into the wall, creating a nice escape route. Sahib looked wildly at his father, pleading with him silently. Please, Sahib thought, I want you to come with me. I want you to hold my hand and take me through the dark.

"Daddy, I'm a big kid! You don't have to hold my hand!" Sahib whined in annoyance. "I don't care if it's dark! Please!" Sahib whined, attempting to pull his hand free.

"Sahib!" his father snapped sharply. Sahib's face pinched in pure agony. He ran. He blocked out the screams. He kept running, he didn't care that he felt like he was about to collapse. He didn't stop until he tripped over something and landed face down in the dirt. Sahib bit down but couldn't stop the scream that tore from his throat. He'd never screamed in his life. His choking sobs cut his own voice off. It wasn't until hours later that he looked at the paper.

"Perfection."

"Daddy," Sahib whimpered, dropping it in the mud and curling into a ball. He buried his face in his knees and shook silently.

Fenris: HOLY COW!! Awesome post honestly, may be one of your best yet.... Blastoise grew to lvl 38! Areodactyl grew to lvl 37!

((Sad music + Sad post = Teary eyes. ))

Honestly, Liliana felt like there was no more water inside her body. She felt as if all of it had poured out today in a constant stream of tears. She was still alone, something she was very grateful for. Everything around her was just as unusual as it had been before, a bit blurry through her wet eyes.

It was like her brain had stopped functioning. All that there was now, were the faces of everyone she had lost in one night. Everyone she would still lose. Couldn't stand to lose.

Her mother and Rose... How ashamed they would be. Her mother might forgive her, it wasn't as if she didn't have things to regret. If she were even sane enough to comprehend what Lili had done. Rose would never forgive her. Rose, who had clung to her hand many times, held on to Liliana's arm when she was scared. Rose, her little sister. Her golden sister. Would never forgive her.

The Clan of Hope members, who had given her just the same hope that their name was taken from. They had trusted her completely and how did she replay them? Treason, they called it. It was pretty accurate, she was a traitor. Traitor to the bone. And Whitney, she would most certainly be dead by now.

And talking about traitors, where were Damion and Cairne? Did they get away, walk away from the Brotherhood maybe? Saying how they had been leaving anyway? She could have done that, could have. But didn't. Maybe some subconscious part of her wanted to be with the Brotherhood. Something about that was comforting, as if her world hadn't really fallen apart that much. She harbored the thought, slung on to it in a way.

And there was Sahib. He must never want to see her again. Not after what she did, not after what, or if, happened to Whitney. Not after the sudden disappearance that would mark her as guilty for sure. And not now she was clinging to the Brotherhood as being her only path now. Now she had decided that she would stay. That she would do what they wanted.

Even if it means torture. Yes, there was no question now. She would be one of them now. Tristan should be happy. She wondered for a moment if he had seen what had gone on between her and Sahib, but that seemed so trivial now.

As the thoughts, the worries, went on, it became hauntingly clear that there was only one thing for Liliana to do. And that sort of security calmed her, enough to slowly sink into a deep sleep...

"Oh Liliana, it's time for you to wake up..." The voices sounded mocking, and Lili's eyes instantly snapped open. But there was no one there... She suddenly shuddered. She had not imagined the voice.

"Who's there?!" No answer, but the world did change around her. She sat up and watched the reversed world change into a frightening city. a burned city... Torn down buildings, rubble. A sky with dancing shadows.

"You don't recognize this place do you?" The whisper made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. That fight or flight reflex again. She spun around, but there was nobody.

"This is Olivine City, five years from you time." Olivine? No, impossible! There were no building she recognized. And five years time was too short a period for this much change! No, the voice was toying with her, lying and perhaps even manipulating.

"You lie!" She yelled at it, but there was only silence. She was convinced of it, until she saw her own house. It was blackened, falling apart but still standing.

"Rose," Liliana whispered as she approached the building. Did they get out before the disaster? Were they alive in this godforsaken future?

"No! You are lying to me! This isn't true and you know it! I'm not stupid, this is just an image, a deception." She kept repeating it under her breath, convincing herself. But she found herself stumbling toward the building anyway. "What happened here?" It was a whisper, barely audible, but the voice responded.

"Why, you happened to this world. You and your friends are the cause of this." The voice stated it so matter-of-factly, but it was impossible. She was still convinced of that.

"You're messing with me, telling me things that aren't true. Trying to give me doubts. Fine, I'll bite. What do you mean?" Her tone was skeptical, but not without a doubt.

"Oh my poor Liliana, it's very simple. You and your friends, along with the Dark Brotherhood, destroyed the defenses of the world." She whispered the word just as the voice did. "The gym leaders."

Shaun. He must have reached his goal in this twisted future. Killing the gym leaders. Did he rule Johto now? The world? And where was she? With him? There was only one questions left on her tongue.

"Who are you?" It was more an astonished whisper. Who or what could transport her here, and would show her these horrors? No answer.

Of course there wouldn't be an answer. The house was still there, with all is unanswered questions buried within.

Lili couldn't keep herself from going in. The inside was almost unrecognizable. She ran her hand over the wooden table that still stood, but barely. The table where she had her breakfast the day that she went away. Where she poured Rose cereal the day that her sister started being afraid of Pokémon. The table where she had had breakfast with her dad, when Rose was still tiny. The table where her aunt had explained to her that her daddy was gone, and where her mother had sat, staring in the distance.

She ascended the stairs, the stairs that now creaked violently. The stairs that she had tripped over when she was 6, and her dad had caught her just in time or she would have tumbled down. The stairs that had warned her and Rose that their mother was coming down, which meant that they had to start taking care of her again. The same stairs of which she had memorized the creaking stair so she could sneak down without making any sound. Now, each stair creaked and protested as she shifted her weight to it.

She passed Rose's bedroom that was a mess now. Furniture lay on its side where Rose had always kept it so neatly. The bedroom that all four of them had painted a cream colour, the one wall where they had painted bright figures. It was all still there. The Pokémon that dad had painted, he was so good at it. The orange sun that mum painted, that was so standard with the yellow and red stripes coming off of it. The bright pink ribbons that Rose had painted on the Stantler's antlers. The collar around the Houndour's neck had also been her doing. Liliana had been terrible at painting, but she'd painted a few white clouds. And the terrible Cherrim that was put in the corner, and her sister had painted swirls around to give it more attention. The bed that lay in two pieces, that had once always had a colourful cover. The window seat that Rose loved so much. The stuffed animals that had been on the shelf, and that were now all around the floor, guts spilled.

Liliana picked up her sister's favourite one, the terrible little Lapras plushie that was still intact. She found herself hugging it tightly, a tear rolling down her eye. She placed the Pokémon on the shelf that still hung there. A shattered picture frame lay on the ground, the picture of it was all of them together. Dad had his arm around mum, eleven-year-old Lili hugged the eight-year-old Rose tightly, while the latter stuck out her tongue to the camera. That wasn't too far from the day dad left. Mum still had a smile on her face, the wrinkles in the corner of her eyes were prominent. The same wrinkles that had all but disappeared now. A steady hand from dad rested on Liliana's shoulder, and the real Lili could almost feel the weight on hers. Another tear that she quickly brushed away.

She quickly left the room, only to pass her mothers, in just as bad a shape. The bed was intact, but feathers of the pillows lay on the ground everywhere. The bed her mother had been plastered to for such a long time. Where bottles of liquor were constantly hidden behind the dresser. Liliana couldn't help herself and checked, but there were no bottles. Looked like Mum really didn't have a relapse in those five years. Five. Rose would be seventeen. Liliana would be twenty. Twenty. Lili violently opened a dresser to find a picture of her and Rose. They looked to be thirteen and ten, happy, though Lili had dark circles under her eyes. This was from before she had found out about cover-up. Another glance at the bed, the bed where Lili and Rose had jumped on when it was dad's birthday. They had made a breakfast, but the orange juice had spilled all over the bed, and dad had taken the rest of the glass and poured it over Liliana before messing up her hair and laughing. Rose had then taken her glass of milk and thrown it at mum, who had laughed and hugged her while Rose was pretending to suffocate.

The house where she had grown up. So many good and bad memories. The house where dad had kissed them both on the forehead before going to bed, mandatory even when Lili objected. Where mum had made lunches. Where dad had left them without any kind of notice. Just one day, it was the three of them. The town where mum had taken Rose and Lili to the beach almost every day when they were little. Dad never came, he hated the salty air. The town where dad had threatened to beat up a bully that was beating on Liliana. Lili had never told them because she was ashamed, she had run home every day to try and avoid the boy. But then a neighbor had told dad, and he had threatened to beat the boy to the hospital if he touched her one more time. She never got beaten again. The same neighbor who had made them warm-up meals for the whole week while mum was unable to get out of bed. Was she still there? Or was she dead?

Liliana was about to run from the house, run and never look back, when she spotted the last room in the hallway. Her own. The last room full of memories. And the room that was still intact. It was the same room that she had slept in. That she had stayed up in for nights when a book had demanded all of her attention. The mattress under her bed was still there, where Rose slept on when she was afraid of the dark again and came to sleep with Liliana. The room where dad had painted the solar system on the ceiling, and where rose had come along and made her own planet, planet Bananana, entirely yellow and kind of rugby ball-shaped. The room with the shelves lined with row after row of books. The room where she'd laughed, cried, where she'd thrown things around in a tantrum, the room where she had looked out of the window. Her room. Her room.

The room where now stood Sahib. Stood, but didn't move. "No." It was only a whisper, she couldn't say anything else. He was stone. Just… stone. A statue. But deep down she knew he wasn't a statue. It was him, lifeless, cold him. His hand was reaching out for something, his eyes held pain. Emotional or physical, she didn't know, but it was pure pain. More tears escaped her eyes.

She reached out to touch him, touched his cheek and felt the stone texture beneath her hand. Touched the little strands of hair that were supposed to feel soft, but they were stone. No. It couldn't be. Why? How? Who?

Who could do such a thing? Turn a person to stone. And why was he here, in her room? Was she the reason? An image flashed through her head, the illusion with Rose, the cage, the mask. Her. Had she done this? No, she would never. Never! Never?

"It's a crazy sight isn't it?" Liliana turned around. Before her was a girl with long darkbrown hair twisted in a braid over her shoulder. She had olive skin and warm brown eyes. Lifeless brown eyes. Once again Liliana was looking at herself, but instead of being younger, this Liliana was older. There was almost a broken feeling to her, as if her spirit had been crushed. Shadows danced around her just as they had in the sky.

Me. So it was me…

The Missing Commrade

"Sahib i'm sorry" a voice from above says in a sad manor as you arise from fetal position to see Grecko standing behind you. You ask him what he is sorry for.

"For letting you leave Golden Rod and ending up at this point, but in a way it would have happened ether way" Grecko says sitting down next you he has a very strange look on his face, he seems to be very calm but at the same time worried and stressed. "I'm talking about destiny Sahib, everyone has a destiny in life and you won't know what it is until it happens, but everything happens for a reason" Grecko says as you realize the slip of paper your dad handed you and you give it to him and explain what happened.

"Hmmm, perfection... that's intriguing it may have something to do with the rage technology there developing but ether way we have more pressing matters right now" Grecko says as he tucks the paper in his pocket and released his dragonite from it's pokeball. You wonder what is more pressing at the moment and he explains.

"After the battles at Golden Rod and Whitneys gym Scythe vanished, there has been no reported word from him in two days, I have sent Lucas and Kaitlyn to back track towards the Ilex forest to check for him, Kenneth has gone with Gage up ahead to check in Olivine and the surronding cities, I want you to check up in Ecruteak City, maybe Morty will know where he is so my Dragonite and I will drop you off on route 37 then head to the gym" Grecko says as you realize you never really got to know Scythe very well, but you knew that he was a teamate and he may need help. As you are about to hop onto Dragonite Grecko grabs you and pulls you back to the ground.

"One last thing, I know it may be overwhelming to know Cairne, Damion, and especially for you Lily have chosen the darkness, the shadows but trust me theres always a way out" Grecko says as a part of you doesn't want to believe him until dark shadows start crawling up his arms as he flexes... You jump back in shock at this site.

"Thats right Sahib, I was once fooled into joining the Dark Brotherhood by Beo... At first I did it to save my father but I found the deeper I went the more I enjoyed the darkness... Until my father showed up and saved me from it... You can be that guy to pull Lily from the darkness I've seen you two around.. Just don't give up on her, or this cause, we can still win!" Grecko says as he pulls a small golden pouch from his pocket and hands it to you, "Take this scared ashes as a symbol of hope" the two of you then hope onto the back of Dragonite and take off.

Finally you arive at Ecurteak city and make your way to the pokemon center first, it's been awhile since your pokemon have been healed. After your pokemon have been healed you make your way to the Gym once inside you realize the lights are off and you step in a little further... The door then quickly slams shut behind you. And you start to hear a terrifying laugh echoing throughout the gym..

"Ah glad you could make it Sahib" the voice says as the lights flick on and sitting in Mortys sit at the front of the gym is Shaun wearing a black coat. In a way your a little shocked but at the same time your really not, there was always something off about this guy. You start questioning how he could turn his back on his old friends Grecko, Gage, Sly, Angela, Lance, and Elm.

"It's true I was a big part in defeating Beo along time ago, but after his defeat I found myself wanting more power and so I took over his spot... Now my plan is complete Morty is the final gym leader left standing" Shaun says as your shocked to hear that after all you only knew of the three.

"Not even thos fools at the clan no about the rest of the gym leaders being killed off we took care of them while you were all distracted with Whitney and the traitors such as your precious Lily oh well Morty is the final piece to the puzzle once he falls Johto will fall into Darkness" Shaun says as you can't believe what your hearing all of them were dead.... You quickly reach for your cell phone to call Grecko but as you pull it out a shadow sprouts out from the ground and crushes it. You scream in terror wondering where Morty was at, you had the sudden urge to protect him.

"Oh Morty is fine at the moment him and Scythe are at the burnt tower, actually in about thirty seconds he will have some unexpected guest" Shaun shouts as he reaches for a pokeball. "Poor Sahib you fell right into the final trap, all of you fools feel right into it" Shaun says as he tosses the ball and out pops a Garchomp"

You had no choice, it was now time to battle the leader of the Dark Brotherhood, a former leadgendary hero of the past, Shaun Tess.

In the end Shaun is just to much for your team and you fall to one knee Shaun begins to approach you.

"It was futile from the begining Sahib, everything has lead you to this point, your destiny is to die here today for the cause of my final end game" Shaun says as that little speech reminds of you what Grecko said about Destiny and then remebered the item he handed you the scared ashes. You start to laugh at Shaun and tell him he was right destiny did lead you to this point as you quickly spread the ashes over your pokemon and they quickly rise blasting at Shaun... When the smoke clears Shaun has vanished and you recall your team you needed to get to the burnt tower. As you approach the gym you hear the shouts of Scythe.

"MORTY!" Scythe shouts...
