Opinions on this:
Do you guys think that there will be other Lati Pokémon made?
 
Others? I doubt it...

Although few have tried to create the infamous Purple version when you mix the two together (rather then just other Latioses and Latiases) , but I think that's more inbreeding then different Latis. I mean, in just about everything canon, they're always portrayed as Brother and Sister, even in the main game! (Why else can't you breed them together if you've caught them both in one game? It's just plain wrong!)

Impossible. Even if you breed 'em(I doubt everybody can), the result will be the same Latios of Latias. And besides they're brothers and sisters, it would be morally wrong to marry your siblings. 0.o

As for the Lati numero tres...

I doubt it. Even when the 'inbreeding' issue is removed (which never existed- the Japanese version stated either explicitly or implicitly that the main Lati weren't the only ones alive), TPC is too lazy to make one.
 
Lati evolutions? Probably not. Alternate forms? Possibly. In fact, they already technically have one in the form of the Soul Dew.

EDIT: Alternate forms seem to be the "evolutions" of legendaries if you think about it. Legends are so powerful that they can't let them evolve, but they can change forms and redistribute their epic stats.
 
I don't think there really need to be a mix of the two really. Males are Latios, females are Latias, and they're born that way.

Evolutions might be a possibility though, if they refined their whole "no legendary evolves" paradigm. But what would change? They both get bigger and more powerful? Not like they really need it anyway. The two seem perfect to me the way they already are. :]
 
How do Latias and Latios get here in the first place? They gotta come from somewhere. PokéDex entry somewhere says that they group together like a family.

I could breed a male and female brother and sister pokemon, and it wouldn't produce an ugly mutated spawn. It's not much of a concern in game. And they might be bringing out a preevo. They seem to be touching up the Sinnoh Legendaires with their other formes. Maybe they might do the same for Hoenn.

Lololz, would be funny though to breed mutants, though XD

I don't think all Latis have to be siblings. I think they are normal males and females like all other Pokémon with genders. The only reason they don't let you breed them in games is that it wouldn't be fair; it'd be way to easy to breed for the perfect IVs and nature in a Lati, and they're already legendary! o.0

As good as that sounds, I don't think the Latis would be seeing different forms, I think it might be only for the major legendaries like the weather trio. Still, an overpowered alternate Lati combined with a Soul Dew with a Base Stat of 680 with at least 150 in Spe X and Speed, that would be sheer murder. I was thinking: A 100-80-80 in HP,Att,Def and 150-150-120 in the Specials and Speed.

I know what you're thinking Minku, It's total gibberish. I'm just saying that a boost forme could make a Lati more powerful like what it did to Rotom.

But the interesting question is what an altered forme of a Lati would look like? Would they look tougher? (Deoxys A) Cuter? (Skymin) Or something completely different? (One of the 5 Rotom formes)

I find it a little hard to be imitated by a Latias, even if she possessed the best ever Draco Meteor. I bet she would look cuter if anything and Latios would of course be tougher.
 
Erm, I don't think so. :/ Having a Pokemon that looks like a human kinda defeats the point..

I was actually thinking the same thing as QANTAN. If Latias was to still have the essence of a Latias, and the same for Latios, they'd have to evolve completely differently (e.g. Latias cuter Latios tougher xD).
 
True, it sounded nothing like the games and it can get confusing between the two. I think Latias' voice was changed in the dubbed version, but not Latios' for some odd reason.

EDIT: It seems that voices were redone for the S release, and they were reused again for Brawl. (The Japanese version voices sound much better.)

I found it kind of annoying, actually. But I'm not a fan of the anime in the first place, so meh.

I also found out that I've been mispronouncing Latias and Latios since R/S were released. I say the first "a" like the "a" in "pat." o_O
 
In the Japanese version of the movie, Latios's voice was a lot deeper and he sounded like he did in the games. Also, Latias sounded better too, she had more personality. I don't know what the American dubs did, but they changed (and ruined) them both in the English version.

Plus the Japanese version also had the entire Legend of Altomare at the beginning (only the last page of the book is seen in the beginning of the English version) which added about 5 to 10 minutes of airtime that otherwise made for a very short movie. It also shows how the Latis came from a group of a large number, and it's not just those two.

I have an .avi file of the Japanese fansub. If you can think of a way to transfer 700MB of data over the internet (can E-mail attachments be that large?), I might be able to give it to you.
 
America always plays cheap with the fans X_X
I really want to get the Lati Event now.
Shiny Latis are some of the best.
