Echoing across the forest region were the reverberations of slashes and slices that subsequently finished in a loud booming combo. Sorelle, a bewildered little girl, grew horribly frightened at the intimidating noises. Was yet another winged being sacrificed for humans? sins? She scampered her way across the dirt-spread path to discover a pair of sandals. Awful! Sorelle lifted the sandals with a gentle hand, hoping to find the winged being, deceased or alive, in order to return her precious possessions.

The forest was quite occupied this morning. Sorelle desired that no one would end up injured due to the sins of numerous villagers. If only she could sense her way towards this ?catastrophe? would she assist the problem. Instead of the prolonged moments of whim and mind, she explored the forest with soothing ease for more clues and hidden secrets.

I senced a disturbance, I don't know how we winged beasts do it, but we look out for each other, and I senced another winged beast distressed. I almost ust released my wings and flew up into the sky, but then though better of my dumb idea. I desired flight, but knew I couldn't without fear of death, so I headed out on foot. I didn't grab any supplies, knowing the nearby forest like the back of my hand, I knew I could find whatever I needed there.

Itoko couldnt take it any longer. The sound of the falling tree echoed in her mind. She sensed someone getting closer and closer. But where could she go~?

The winged being began to hum a gentle tune to herself again, and stroked the pearly white feather in her hair.
Everything is going to be all right Itoko thought, lifting her feet onto the rock. I just have to believe everything is going to be all right, and it will!
At least, that is what Itoko wanted to believe.

"What is that supposed to mean?!" the man replied, clutching his sword tightly.

Rika smiled softly, ?Never judge someone by their appearance.? She whispered. Her eyes were still a stormy grey, flashing dangerously.

?So, why are you hiding in the woods?? Rika asked, holding her katana out cautiously. Was he a winged being?

He huffed in anger again at Rika's attitude. Sure, she did seem dangerous, but he definitely was not fond of anyone who slashed down the beautiful trees of a forest for no reason.

"I wasn't hiding, until I heard you. I wasn't sure if you were winged or not. I'm trying to help rid the world of their evil taint," he explained in a tone that grew a bit calmer with each word, "And what were you doing slashing down trees with your sword?"

Once Itoko had calmed herself down, she jumped from the boulder she was sitting on and onto the forest floor. She wiped her eyes slightly with the sleeve of her kimono, and then headed of again into the depths of the forest. Curiousity took over as the young winged being remembered the awful sound of a tree falling to the ground. Usually in a situation such as this she would be afraid, but not this time.

Itoko took off in the direction the sound came from. She was aware that it could possibly lead her to her death, but she promised herself she wouldnt be seen by whatever it was.

Finally Itoko reached a girl and a boy, clearly arguing over something. The girl was holding a katana. She was probably the one cutting down the trees. Itoko darted behind a tree, trying to not make a sound.

"I wasn't hiding, until I heard you. I wasn't sure if you were winged or not. I'm trying to help rid the world of their evil taint," he explained in a tone that grew a bit calmer with each word,

Evil Taint? Rika thought skeptically, raising an eyebrow.

"And what were you doing slashing down trees with your sword?"

"It's not a sword, it's a katana." she explaned calmly, her eyes returning to their former color. "I was just practicing." Rika said, shrugging her sholders.

"But..." she paused and asked, "how are winged people evil?" she asked curiously. For her, winged people were just a myth...

"They've got the powers of the devil! It's obvious!" Malaos cried desperately, as if it was the most common knowledge in the world.

He relaxed his hands, visibly slumping a bit. With an exasperated sigh, he turned and took a few steps away from the katana-wielder. As he proceeded to leave the girl on her own, since she seemed quite the independant type, he spoke without turning his head back to her, "Find something else to practice on, eh? Trees don't deserve that sort of treatment.

"But..." the girl asked, "how are winged people evil?"

"They've got the powers of the devil! It's obvious!" the man replied to her.

Itoko was startled by this. How could someone think such a thing~?
No, we have power of the heavens Itoko thought to herself. She was tempted to jump out into the clearing and confront this man, but it would definately cost her her life.

Voices rambled with ferocity across the verdant, lively forest. Her sapling friend dared not to bear the rambling and made squeaky, inaudible murmurs. Of course, her home in the Syndellia kingdom was abundant with saplings but hunters and beasts alike endangered these poor critters. As Sorelle frequently searched tree after tree, bush after bush, hole after hole in the forest, the voices grew louder and louder in a pleasant crescendo.

Nearing the boisterous area, Sorelle overheard the conversation.

"But..." a feminine voice heralded, "how are winged people evil?"

"They've got the powers of the devil! It's obvious!" a masculine voice exclaimed.

Sorelle presumed the man had chased the feminine character, perhaps the winged being, towards the location, was she wrong?

"Gg-good morrow~! Have you maybe lost these sandals? And truly, must you say these poor, winged beings have powers of the devil? Winged beings are actually God?s messengers, very innocent creatures," replied Sorelle with a genial smirk.

Another person entered the conversation. There were more humans in this forest than Itoko thought. Maybe it wasnt very safe after all.

Itoko shifted slightly, causing a branch to snap under her bare foot. Itoko, startled by this, move again. Not a good move. Did they hear her~? She didnt think so.

"GRRRRR!!" Malaos boiled with rage at the newly interupting female. "Blasphemous whore!" He drew his blade, pointing it straight for the female, "Take those words back, before I send you to underworld!"

Malaos had been too preoccupied with this new lavender-haired devil's assistant, and most definitely didn't hear the snapping of a branch. His attention had shied from Rika as well. He needed to keep these uppety females in line as to who was evil and who wasn't.

[[OCC~ Welcome to the RP, Saphi-chan~! ^o^ I think we have enough members now.]]

[[IC~]] Itoko liked the newcomer. She seemed nice, and she wasnt against winged beings. When the man pointed his sword at her, Itoko jumped out from behind the tree.
"Hey~!" Itoko yelled. "Leave her alone, will ya!?"

Itoko didnt realise what she had done until 5 seconds later when she backed away slowly. Another mistake.

"They've got the powers of the devil! It's obvious!" the man cried desperately, as if it was the most common knowledge in the world.

Rika frowned doubtfully, her mother always said that they were angels.. but she was killed for thinking so.

"Gg-good morrow~! Have you maybe lost these sandals? And truly, must you say these poor, winged beings have powers of the devil? Winged beings are actually God?s messengers, very innocent creatures," said a newcomer, smirking slightly.

Rika shook her head, looking down on her own sandels.

"GRRRRR!!" the man boiled with rage at the newly interupting female. "Blasphemous whore!" He drew his blade, pointing it straight for the female, "Take those words back, before I send you to underworld!"

"Hey~!" yelled another female. "Leave her alone, will ya!?"

"Okay, can someone PLEASE explain this to me?" Rika cried, frustrated, losing her cool demenor.

Malaos jerked his head at all three of the females, faced bright red and his throat bubled with rage in a low growl. His chest rose in a deep breath, and then in a slow exhalation, he attempted to calm himself back down. He let the tip of his sword drop down, poitning at the ground, much less aggressively.

"Is this the unholy forest or something?" it was not an angry question, more of just a grumble of discontent. The traveller through up his hands, surrendering to their incessant questioning, and attempted to explain, "Haven't you heard of the demonic powers that winged beings posess? Those huge gusts of power that kill people? How can that be good? They must be eliminated."

He glanced around at the girls, grower calmly slowly, and wondering about whether they'd accept this or not.

Itoko stopped and stood there staring at the man.
"Demonic!?" she said. "Winged Beings are sent from the heavens! How could you say such a horrible thing? Winged Beings are forced to kill in battle. Although, the only monsters I see here are you horrid humans whom wander around the world destroying them!"

Rika frowned at the man and the newly arrived young lady.

"Well," she said directed at the man, "Why do they kill? Why do you kill them?"

"And," she said again, this time directed at the young lady. "Not all humans are horrid..." she finished, her eyes flashing stormy grey. Though both of them were strange, both of them were wrong, she felt... that both of them was right.
