For everyone that didn't feel like reading 10 pages of posts (-.-) We're trying to come up with a fan made game. So some of us are trying to make it "our" game by putting our personalities in in-game characters. Such as myself who puts link on tasks and such because he's too lazy to do them himself. (My laziness of updating things on this club is where this personality came from. In real life I'm active. xD)

I haven't even started on my character...but I will once I know what I want him to look like. I prefer Anime style, so don't hate me. xD

Well if Ganon[dorf] can't be represented by an eagle, (from what Triforce said) then we could do the bat. Since it's also small, it could blend in with the other birds a bit more. That way you don't really expect much. xD

P.S. It's about where Hyrule or Zelda or something gets taken to a different dimension. So you have to create the Opal of Extent (the title also) to open the dimension to save her. To do this, you need five gems (Emerald/Ruby/Sapphire/Topaz/Black Diamond) which you obtain through 5 dungeons. Then you get the master sword then go to the new dimension with 3 more dungeons.
We should make something happen to Links personality when he goes into the other dimension. Like maybe everything becomes opposite.

Why can't Ganon be a giant bird of prey? I don't see anything wrong with a little something new! :)
Ooh! I've got an idea for the title, its not very original but hey...

Legend of Zelda: Gems of Light or LoZ: Gems of Power

What would the other three dungeons be? Maybe you need three spirits to restore power to the opal allowing it to fuse with the master sword making...THE OPAL SWORD! Yeah...I can't think of much right now...:(
 
oh, I need to think of a character for myself! I'm not really sure what my personality is, and my hair would just look like Link's, except darker, if I was an anime character! v_v I'll probably be able to draw it myself, but I'll need to wait until I'm in a 'creative mood', otherwise I'll have no 'spark'.

I agree with the Ganon-Bat thing; an Eagle seems too good-willed and majestic, and a bat would blend in more with the birds, although we need to make it look slightly different from everything else, so it hints at something.
And on the subject of the alternate dimension: it's been done before, but we could make it so that when he's in there, Link indulges in some kind of dark power or personality, and if he's in there for too long it can take control of him or posess him. Something like that? Maybe if he's in there too long he will turn into Dark Link, although that would be completely ripping off Metroid Prime 3, with the Dark Samus thing.

Why couldn't Ganon be a vulture, because you wouldn't usually find a bat following someone around in broad daylight would ya? Also, a vulture usually circles something when it is about to die, so the vulture could signify Link/Hyrule's impending doom! :badsmile:

What if the other three temples are to collect the pieces of light armor/sword/something else that give link immunity to the dark dimensions powers which allow him to travel into ganons nest, er...I mean castle...without turning evil!
 
That's a good idea, but I can't imagine Ganon choosing a Vulture over a Bat if he had the choice, I think he has a little more pride! :P Although it would be more suitable to see a Vulture in the daylight.
And I really like the Light Armour idea. It could give Link a white glow like in Twilight Princess when you drink the Fairy Tears. We could also develop the Light Armour idea, and give a time limit, like when you enter the Temple of the Ocean King in Phantom Hourglass, and you have a certain amount of time before the darkness starts to harm you?
 
Ok, yeah bat works best. xD Just so it sticks with the whole Ganon thing. I liked the circling Vulture idea...maybe Ganon could have a minion that transforms into a vulture (who is also second to last boss)

As for the name, it has to do with the Opal, not the gems, because the Opal is the main item. I like Opal of Extent too. xP

As for his alternate personality and such, yeah being in the dimension too long without some kind of protection should cause something to happen to him. (Maybe not dark Link because of what Oni Link said.) I'm not sure what should happen, but something should. Light Armour sounds nice, sword...no. xD *points to best sword ever (master sword)* Maybe a light amulet? (recycling the original idea for the game. xD) And a light shield?

No...There's Armor/Amulet/Shield. All different pieces of equipment. I don't think they really have to be all categorized under armor since one of them is armor. Like, you know how he has all those different types of clothes? Well the Light Armor would be under that.

Ugh, gotta work on my guy. xD

Okay, okay, a bat is better...but it shouldn't be an ordinary bat, it is Ganon after all...
I like the time limit on the armour, but maybe that is too much like PH, I dunno

I think we need to decide a companion for Link (the equivelant of Midna, Navi, Celia), i'm gonna go with a little bird (apparently, I like birds :P) called Miya (for some reason) that can speak english and it rides on your shoulder. Miya could turn out to be something bigger in the game, like the embodiment of one of the Gems? (Too much paper mario here!) Bah, i'm completely dry of good ideas (you can probably tell) so I guess i'll just get to work on them pictures! :)
 
How bout a tiny little mouse that when you call it, it runs up your body and sits on your shoulder (and it runs up in a really cute way. x3) I have no good names, soo....I won't even suggest a name for anything. xD (I'd rather it not be a flying/levitating thing. Navi and Midna both levitated and it needs to be changed up. I have no idea who Celia is...is it the hat from Minish Cap? xD)

Anyway, I guess I'll get to work on my guy considering I have nothing else to do. (May end up coloring it too. ^^)

Oops, lol, its my awful spelling! :D I meant Ciela! The fairy from PH!

The mouse seems cool! Maybe it could be called Stilton Pippy, yeah, Pippy is a good name...:)

Pippy brings back sad memories... =[ (He was my hamster that died like 4-5 years ago)

Anyway, yeah Midna is from Twilight Princess, and I obviously don't know who Ciela is because I don't have PH either. xD

Yeah, I like Tift! It sounds like tuft, so the mouse could have a cute little tuft of hair on top of its head! :D

PS: Sorry to hear about your hamster, but I guess i'm right about it being a suitable small rodent name...
 
dude, you NEED to get Phantom Hourglass! It's absolutely flawless.
I'm liking the mouse suggestion! It's a cute idea, and it's different from every other Zelda game :]
Tuft is a very good name, as I too can picture a tuft of hair on it's head :3

This thread's becoming pretty active! I can't leave for 5 minutes now without having to read a lot when I come back! It's good stuff!
 
I drew my guy...but guess what. I just remembered our other computer (the one hooked up to the printer with the scanner) was taken in...so...you all have to wait until then to see my amazing guy. xD Maybe that'll give me some time to color. (I just drew his head.)
