She breathed heavliy and cryed."The dark keeps me from changing my true form...Look!".She stared at him as her hair[which was white] hade turned blue. Her skin which was humans has became surrounded with black fur with white fur on her stomach. She sadly stared at her hands as they changed too.She looked like a human Panther."I only wished that i could stay alone from the others, from the Normal ones".
After that she was silent still facing him.

Riyuko raised her eyebrows at this girl. She was very odd.
"I only wished that I could stay alone from the others, from the normal ones," Velenga said. Riyuko rolled her eyes at this comment.
"So, you think we're normal? If so, think again. This forest doesnt belong to you, so you can stop trying to protect it, first of all. Second of all, practically the only 'people' who enter this forest are mages. Everyone is different, so you dont need to be afraid any more".
Now Riyuko's voice was calm, and she was crouched beside Velenga.

I offered the girl my arm and said "I'm afraid I don't know you all that well. Felicia, right? I'm Coronias."

I chuckled as I saw her cheeks stain red and said "A pleasure, Felicia, a pleasure." I moved off down a small game trail and added "so, might I as what your powers are? If you don't mind, of course." A few people had minded. Minded a little overmuch. There were still burn marks in a clearing from my duel with Darrin.

"Mine?" I felt odd telling him, I felt odd telling anyone, but I supposed there had to be someone to trust. "Turning into a house cat." Not a very flattering power, but also maybe not the only one I had.

"I guess that could have its uses" I said, a one-sided grin on my face. I gently lifted both of us off the ground and said "I'm a bit of a telekinetic." Laughing, fox ears and a sleek red tail sprouted from me as I added "And a shape-alterer."

Paige went on walking around the woods until she fell upon a strange seen. It was a panther girl and two mages they looked like. She ran up to them "hello, how do you do" she asked pleasently.

Rey gave Riyuko a glance--the faint shimmer in his eyes seeming to be agreement with her words. Withdrawing his hand as he knelt beside Velenga, Rey lightly tapped one of his arm guards--a piece of armor that encompassed the length of his forearm. The sound was sharp and echoing. The space between the plates of the guard was hollow.

"We're all different," he stated simply. Suddenly, his golden eyes shifted at a rustle in the bushes. Before it could be seen, the wall of void vanished. Re-entering a stand, Rey's cat-like gaze flickered in recognition as he viewed the approaching female.

"Hello," Rey replied to her words, his tone equally polite if not slightly more formal. "Your name is Paige, if I recall correctly?"

"Yes thank you for remembering" Paige said happily. She seemed a little worried about Riyuko "um miss are you ok you seemed to be hurt?" She went over to her olivious to lots of things like the small petals surrounding her. She smiled and said "how did you hurt your ankle, I think one of my plants can help a bit......"

I smiled. He's cute, I thought. I'll give him that much.

I was about to say something, when an echoing sound pricked my ears. It sounded like a small explosion. Gun shots? Then I heard laughing voices, and shot my gaze through the trees. Two men were coming, each carrying a rifle.

For a second, I froze, ever muscle in my body tensed. Then instincts kicked in. I turned into a cat. A small, skinny figure with sandy-brown fur and black stripes shot up the nearest tree. A little silver bell jingled around my neck. I sat up on a sturdy branch in the tree, listening closely to the two guys approaching.

I snarled under my breath as I saw the men approach. Instantly, the tail and ears dissapeared. I dropped silently to the forest floor, then began growing. I wound up twelve feet tall, in the end with leathery wighs sprouting from my back and mavvive three-foor long claws extending from each hand. As the men rounded the bend and saw me, I smiled sweetly and said "Hello, good sirs. Enjoying your day?"

One of the men stepped back in fear, but the other punched him in the gut. "It's just a trick, you idiot," he said.

Then, to Coronias he said, "A very fine day, thank you." I stuck out my tongue. What a horrible fake British accent he used. He pointed his rifle at him. "The government has issued a new law. Any 'mages' as you call yourselves, are to be exterminated. And I guess that you count as one, now don't you?"

At that I made a move up on my branch. Bad move. The bell around my neck jingled, and the other guy heard it. With a start he whirled around and pointed his gun at me. "Aw, it's just a stupid cat."

STUPID CAT?!?! Oh, this guy was gonna die. I pulled my ears back and hissed at him. That made him wrap his finger around the trigger. I immediately stopped and stood stiffly still.

Each of my hand shot out, grabbing the men by their faces. With the horrific strength imbued by this form, I lifted each easily into the air. I snarled "And so we don't have a right to our own lives, even if they must be lived away from you pathetic fools?" I hissed under my breath, realizing with a start that I'd crushed the skulls of each of the men. Horrified, I shrank back to my usual form and looked at Felicia, asking "Are you alright?"

I nodded. I'm fine, I said. but I'd forgotten I was still in my cat form, so it came out more as a: "Meow-ow."

I jumped out of the tree, landing on my feet of course, and turned back to my regular self. "I mean, I'm fine. Just a little shaky. What about you?"

I had to fight down vomit, repulsed by what I'd just down. I accidentally glanced their way and almost lost control of my stomach. Their heads were nothing but gore and chunks of bone now. That same gore covered my hands. Shakily, I said "I need a drink and to wash my hands." I imagined that I looked white as a ghost right now.

"Yeah, I can imagine." The smell was starting to get to me. "I need to take a rest." I turned back into the small cat and trotted off to find a nice cave or somewhere that I could crash.

I ran off to the closest stream I knew of. Not a great distance away, but en route, I replayed every instant of that moment. When I'd seen their heads give way. The blood covering me. The thrill of power I'd gotten from it. After washing my hands in the ice-cold water, I dunked my face in, feeling the bite of the meltwater. Pulling out of the stream, I leaned back down and took a brief drink.

It was only then I noticed how thirsty I was, so I took a spot a few feet upstream of him and drank some of the water. When I finished my drink I licked my paws and wiped my face. I looked over and saw he was done too, so I mewed softly.
