I know I should complain that Miharu is technically Bunnying Haikou (Beedrill), although I don't really mind. I'm thinking of making Haikou one of the less... enthusiastic of Ike's Pokémon. Maybe unenthusiastic isn't the right word... unwilling would be better, since I don't think the Poison bee Pokémon really agrees with having Ike in a position of authority.
Oh, and I just thought I'd note that this isn't randomly springing a fight on MichaelaTheUchiha. We discussed that we were going to have a double battle soon, yay!
The Lost Island's League
Ike's Log, #12 – Continuing travels
As Ike heard the gentle double footsteps from behind him, he could only assume that both Mika and Miharu were following him. His direct route was to the main city on Insect Island, and he had no intention of taking any detours or side-paths, although he had a feeling that the other two would end up dragging him off course. Ike just hoped that if they did end up changing course, that something beneficial would happen meanwhile. Haikou, the Beedrill, hovered gentle in front of Ike, before tapping the Pokéball he was caught in, causing him to erupt in scarlet light, and slowly fade into oblivion. Ike felt a little relieved that he wouldn't have to deal with the Poison bee Pokémon any longer, assuming that the Bug/Poison type had finally gotten round to his way of thinking.
Stopping abruptly, Ike glanced at his surroundings. "Hmm..." he muttered to himself.
Something felt odd, just for a moment, but he couldn't tell what it was. Shaking off the feeling, he turned to check on Mika and Miharu. Facing the direction he wished to travel in again, he took one step forward before he was interrupted.
"H-hey. I-I challenge you to a- a Pokémon battle!" stuttered a voice.
Ike turned to the source of the sound. It was that of a boy, much younger than Ike was, looking around the age of ten, maybe eleven. Other than that, the boys short brown hair was the only other physical feature Ike even noticed. He held a Pokéball in his right hand, and seemed quite clearly wanting to fight, despite how nervous he seemed.
Ike was only happy to comply, it would be a good chance to get some more training. "Fine." Ike muttered, before he too pulled a Pokéball from his belt. "Let's do th-"
"Hey, Lewis!" yelled another voice, as a second person arrived at the scene. The second was marginally taller than the first, but looked remarkably similar to the younger boy, albeit looking slightly older, around Ike and Miharu's age. A sensible guess would be that they were brothers. "Why did you run off like that?" he asked to his younger brother.
The younger boy, who Ike assumed was now 'Lewis', sighed. "I saw a trainer, and I wanted some practice..."
The older brother turned up, noticing Ike, Miharu and Mika. "Oh, hey." he muttered, before turning back to his brother. "Just don't run off again, mmkay?" he said to his brother, who nodded in a response. "Now, about that battle. I see three of you here, so why don't us two try and beat two of you?" suggested the older brother.
Ike turned to Miharu, waiting for a response to the question. He wasn't even sure if Mika had any Pokémon to be honest, although he assumed she didn't. Glaring back at his new foes, he readied to throw his Pokéball. Flinging it into the sky, it slammed back down into the ground, exploding, and releasing the Clap Pokémon. It rolled back and forth on its spherical body for a second or two, before readying to battle.
"Sphe!" it whistled, ready to fight, even if he was a little worn out from the previous battles.
Ike waited for his foes to send out a Pokémon with slight impatience. The younger boy grinned. "He he, a Water-type! Now I've got the advantage!" he chuckled, as he too threw the Pokéball he held, which struck the floor. "Go, Tropius!" he yelled, as the light slowly formed into a fairly large Pokémon.
It's main body was brown, and was equipped with stub-like legs and a long neck. It had an array of leaf-like armour on its body, with four wing-like leaves on its back. Ike grinned. The colouring meant he could only assume it was a grass type, and if those leaves were in fact wings, then that would almost certainly mean it was a flying type. Perfect, as both types are weak to ice type moves, and he thought this meant he had an advantage.
Now all Ike had to do was wait for both Miharu and the older brother to send out their Pokemon, and the battle could commence. "Let's do this..."
