The Lost Islands League: PG-13 RP

@Century - What do you mean last? You mean last until day 3 or you just started day 3 without me knowing?

Congrats! Caterpie evolved into a Metapod!

Abel was about to settle down when he saw a flash from the corner of the eye; and there it was, a newly-evolved Metapod, a rather quieter Pokémon than its pre-evolution; for sure, Pokabu wouldn't have much trouble handling its constant interest around him, which was perfect for the Pokémon, who just walked to near the fire and laid down to sleep. Abel couldn't help but laugh a bit at its reaction, since Pokabu continued to have next to no interest even after Caterpie evolved.

"Oh, that's right..." He said to himself just when he closed his eyes to sleep. He reached for his slingbag and took out both Chunk's and Paras's Pokéballs, releasing the two so they could also sleep, but taking Chunk closer, knowing he was wounded and couldn't afford having him hurt. But he knew how willing that Pokémon was to adventure; so he couldn't just let it stay in a Pokéball until they reached the next city. "Goodnight, everybody." The Pokémon all let out a noise similar to a yawn and fell asleep.

----------------

The next morning, Abel had been the first to wake up - or so it seemed, anyways. The fire had gone out, and everyone seemed to be asleep.

Since very early after trying to fall asleep that night, he had heard the sound of rapidly flowing waters nearby. Curious, he went to check, and found that a river indeed passed just by them. He took the small guide from the pocket and checked their position: they were probably somewhere in the northern ending of the river. And seeing as it flowed directly into the city at some point, then following it would be the best choice.

"Rise and shine, people." He said loudly, picking his slingbag up and waking all his Pokémon. "I might've found something interesting."

That it? Almost half...Last extension, you all have until Monday to get to day 3, but don't start day 3(or don't get past waking up)

Dawn of the Third Day...

Kerri wakes up early, crawling out of the shadow of the log she slept in. She checks herself for injury, noticing the cut on her face has mostly healed, but has left an angry red mark across her cheek. She checks on her Pokemon, happy to see Makuhita and Vulpix healed after their fights. "Honda, feeling better? Good. Ve shall continue training today. Cleo, you might get to fight too." She quickly prepares breakfast, sewing shut her ripped pants while the Pokemon eat. "Alright, team! Zis forest may have treated us poorly yesterday, but today ve conquer! Let's move out!"

Makuhita and Vulpix cheer, while Natu sighs and shakes his head. Kerri recalls them all into their balls, making sure Makuhita's is close at hand. Taking a moment to get her bearings, she heads towards the Gym again, moving through the thick brush.

Uh... I'm on day 3 as well. That bit of Adam finding a place to sleep was the last bit of day 2 I was going to write. Next time I post I'll start with day 3. I don't think I made that clear.

The Lost Island's League
Ike's Log, #6 – Opening up a world of pain...

Click.

Ike had successfully caught himself a Pokémon, which was a good sign. He wondered why he had ever doubt his abilities. Pulling the Pokéball from his belt, he tapped the button, which launched a scarlet beam to absorb Atol the Spheal back into his mobile home, as it were. Taking a few steps forward, and crouching down, he picked up the newly sealed ball. He had heard stories of Beedrill prying themselves out of Pokéballs with their stingers, and then calling in a swarm to attack, so Ike would have to keep a close eye on it.

"A male Beedrill. Only males grow that big, unless they're the queen of course." Ike muttered, as he gazed at the third ball. "Haikou. Seems to fit..."

The sound of footsteps caused Ike's thoughts to break. "Bug and Poison types are very handy, especially with the Ice and Ghost types you have with you." Said as the girl, as she moved over to Ike's position. "Not many people use Beedrill other than Bug-catchers. Although I see you seem to be more of a one-type specialist, ice perhaps?"

Ike grunted at the comment. He knew what type Beedrill were, and which type he preferred. Although, the fact she could guess what his favourite type was, especially when he only had one of that type, was a little... odd... He turned to face the girl, who's Pokémon was seemingly chatting to itself in an almost unbearably high pitch.

"And no..." he muttered to the girl. "I didn't need help." He continued, sounding a little bitterer this time. "All you did was make my Pokémon have less of a chance at training, simply wasting my time." Ike added, pulling himself back up to a standing position.

Taking one last look at the sphere, he clipped it to his belt. He was never truly fond of Bug types, but this one had put up enough of a fight to prove its worth. Turning around, he waited for the sound of footprints to hit the padded undergrowth, but he heard nothing.

"Are you still here?"

((OOC: GrifSpark, post so we can get on with the RP after this.))

Miharu rolled her eyes at the bitter tone. She turned when she heard running from behind. It was Mika, who stopped at the sight of the other trainer. She raised an eyebrow before grinning.

"Caught yourself a trainer, eh?" asked Mika as she ran up to the two, ignoring the beedrills.

Miharu groaned. "Kid, you might be an idiot, but you definitely don't deserve this. Run. For. Your. Life."

Before the trainer could even move or blink, Mika latched onto his arm. "We caught ourselves a trainer, yay! For free, I can ship you around the islands! Of course, you'll have to stay with us. And you can't say no! I won't take no for an answer!"

Miharu smacked her forehead. "When I go to jail, my image will be ruined."

Mika glanced at Miharu. "What image? You're an ex-champion now. You resigned in order to come to this league."

Miharu waved a hand. "When I'm done here, I'll go back to Sinnoh and beat Cynthia again. Or perhaps I should go back to our home region and kick Lance's arse. Or Wallace, Steven, whoever." Miharu blinked. "Damn, I just ruined my incognito thing that I was hoping for."

Mika blinked. "Incognito? Anyone who isn't an idiot would know who you are at first glance."

Miharu grinned. "Idiots are everywhere. I think the trainer you just captured is a said idiot."

Mika shook her head. "He didn't recognize you? That is sad." Mika brighten. "I'll still kidnap him anyways!"

Miharu shrugged as if to say "Sorry dude, I tried."

Ike's Log, #7 – This should be fun...

A few seconds of silence had gone by, but was broken by the heavy sound of running footsteps, which caught Ike off guard a little. Someone else was arriving? Arceus, how was he going to cope? As long as this new person wasn't nearly as cheery as this other who had 'helped' him fight the Beedr-

"We caught ourselves a trainer, yay! For free, I can ship you around the islands! Of course, you'll have to stay with us. And you can't say no! I won't take no for an answer!"Screamed a third voice, who immediately grabbed onto Ike's arm.

Swinging round, he shoved her off. "No." Ike muttered bluntly.

The other girl, who had fought the other two Beedrill, immediately smacked her forehead. "When I go to jail, my image will be ruined..."

"What image? You're an ex-champion now. You resigned in order to come to this league."

Ike's ears pricked up at the words, 'ex-champion'. Ex-champion obviously meant she had been a champion before-hand, and mentioning that she had resigned for this league implied that she was a champion of something much like the Elite four. No... she couldn't have become the champion of the Elite four, could she?

"When I'm done here," said the first girl. "I'll just go back to Sinnoh to beat Cynthia again."No, that wasn't possible. Cynthia had been the champion of Sinnoh for who knows how long. She was supposedly unbeatable. Had Ike really missed that much in his short absence while heading to Hoenn? And if she really had beaten Cynthia, then that must have meant she was one hell of a trainer. Either that or she had inherited some ridiculously powerful Pokémon. "Or perhaps I should go back to our home region and kick Lance's arse? Or Wallace, Steven, whatever. Damn, I just ruined my incognito thing that I was hoping for..."

To Ike, the longer she went on about her being 'champion' made each word less believable, but still... there was something strange about those two...

"Incognito? Anyone who isn't an idiot would know who you are at first glance!"

Admittedly, to Ike, that stung a little, even if it wasn't meant to...

"Idiots are everywhere. I think that trainer you just captured is said idiot." Said the first girl, with a slight grin on her face. Once more, and Ike would be unable to stand it. He had already rested a hand on the Pokéball containing his newest capture.

The second shook her head. "He didn't recognise you?" she asked, before her face brightened slightly. "That is sad. I'll still kidnap him anyways!"

"Sorry dude, I tried..."

At this point, Ike had given up on his plan of escape. It wasn't even an escape anyway, and if the girl was who she said she was, there was no telling what kind of plan she could create in order to retrieve him. And then there was her friend, who had become so painfully annoying, Ike would have to learn to blank out every time she spoke to avoid going mad.

"Obviously not hard enough." Ike muttered, with an ever so slightly harsh tone, which was no different from usual. "Fine, if I have to come with you..." he continued, as he glared at Miharu.

This was not how he had intended to spend his travels, and one of his least favourite out of the possible outcomes. He sighed heavily to himself, knowing these next few days were going to be painful and the rest of the trip even worse. He'd probably slip away at some point, but for now, he waited...

Miharu patted the other trainer on the shoulder. "I am very sorry about my friend's insanity. She is very spoiled and will screech if she doesn't get her way." She dodged a hit to the head. Miharu rolled her eyes. "Anyways, I'm Mizushima Miharu...er...Miharu Mizushima. The crazy lady is Mika. There's a clearing close by where we can sleep for the night, and if you think you can escape by waiting until we are asleep, I wake up at the slightest movement, and Mika will now when you are trying to escape."

Miharu saw the trainer reaching towards his pokeball, the one that had the Beedrill. She raised an eyebrow, but didn't say anything. "Mika, you should probably let that guy go before he tries to kill us or something. Beedrill's stings hurt. Especially if they hit you on the neck."

Serena looked up at Miharu, her eyes questioning. She seemed to be asking: "Is that guy really going to come with us?"

Miharu, who was practically an expert at reading pokemon's expressions, nodded. "Yes, he is coming with us. Why? Mika is an idiot."

Serena nodded. She decided that she'll watch the trainer to see if he would try to harm her trainer and her friend.

Miharu started walking towards the clearing that was close by, Mika dragging the trainer along with her.

Ike's Log, #8 – Lost all hope...

The first girl rested her hand on Ike's shoulder, leading him to frown slightly. "I am very sorry about my friend's insanity." She said apologetically, "my friend is very spoilt and will screech if she doesn't get her way." Added the girl, as she rolled her eyes just enough to be noticed. "Anyways, I'm Mizushima Miharu... er... Miharu Mizushima. The crazy lady is Mika. There's a clearing nearby where we can sleep for the night, and if you can escape by waiting until we are asleep, I wake up at the slightest movement, and Mika will know when you are trying to escape."

Shrugging off the girl's hand, he glared at her. "Is that a challenge, or a threat?" He asked, although this was one of the very few times he'd say anything light-heartedly. "Relax. I don't plan on waiting that long..." he added, before he took a tighter grip on his Pokéball.

These people were really starting to annoy him, but there were two of them, one confirmed with Pokémon, who were probably in much better condition that his from the last few battles. And who was to Miharu hadn't caught any more Pokémon? Fighting would only end in trauma on his behalf, but then again, she didn't have to know that...

Miharu raised an eyebrow, before speaking to her friend, Mika. "Mika, you should probably let that guy go before he tries to kill us or something. Beedrill stings hurt. Especially if they hit you on the neck."

Ike nodded slightly, and then dropped his hand from his Pokéball, and down to his side. Beedrill were one of the few Pokémon of this level which were capable of killing a fully grown man with a well placed Poisonsting or Furyattack. The very dangerous combination between venom and stingers could be fatal to many. Glancing at her Pokémon, Miharu seemed to mutter something to the Spike ball Pokémon, although Ike couldn't hear quite was it was. The Normal-type seemed to watch him, although Ike shrugged it off. What was the Pokémon going to do? Hug him to death? Pathetic... Miharu began to walk passed Ike and Mika, heading further into the forest, and approaching a clearing. Ike stood his ground, but was near thrown off his feet as Mika grabbed him by the arm again, and began to drag him along with them.

"I'm Cy- Ike..." muttered Ike to the two of them, quickly correcting his mistake.

He hated being referred to by his first name. It was shared with his father, and reminded him each day how much he had begun to despise him for moving. But that was long behind him, and he had a new issue to deal with. These two insane travellers who were part-way through kidnapping him. Ike sighed to himself, before beginning to struggle from Mika's grip, but as far as he could tell, he was getting no-where.

Miharu heard Ike's muttered name, along with the slight stutter, but didn't mention it. It was obvious that he was very tense, even more so that he was with strangers. Miharu felt the same way most of the time, but she usually didn't act like it. After all, what good is a champion that is anti-social? Wallace is a pretty social champion, albeit Lance isn't, but he couldn't really talk to people too much. Being a G-Man meant that you couldn't draw attention to yourself, although being a champion is a great attention drawer. Miharu wondered why Lance was a champion in the first place if he shouldn't draw attention to himself. She'll have to ask him, sometime.

The strange group of three reached the clearing. It was then when she put down Togepi, dropped down her backpack, and getting the materials for the camp. "After we'll rest here for the night, we should be able to reach the breeding center by midday tomorrow. And for Kami's sake Mika, let go of the guy's arm before he loses his arm due to lack of circulation and oxygen." Mika immediately let go, but was watching Ike to make sure that he didn't run. Mika was pretty fast on her feet, though not as fast as Miharu who wouldn't even try to run after him.

Serena started picking up some sticks, good kindling for the fire. Miharu blinked at the action. "Serena, what are you doing?"

Serena chirped happily. She seemed to have said: "I'm helping out!"

Miharu tilted her head. "And how did you know to get sticks in order to build a campfire?"

Serena chirped again. This time, Miharu couldn't really understand. She blinked again.

"Er, continue what you were doing then," said Miharu.

Mika sat down as well, taking out food from her backpack. She took out three lunchboxes, filled with rice and various meats.

"...Did you know you were going to kidnap someone today?" asked Miharu when she saw the three lunchboxes.

Mika smirked. "Perhaps."

Miharu finished setting up the tents, one that was big enough for both Miharu and Mika and another one that was big enough for Ike.

"Did you know that I was going to kidnap someone today?" mimicked Mika.

"No, this is in case that I get tired of your snoring and try to sleep somewhere else," retorted Miharu. "Though I just usually sleep in the treetops."

"Moi? Snoring? There must be some mistake!"

"If only," deadpanned Miharu. "Then I could get a decent night's sleep."

Mika sniffed before giving one of the lunchboxes to Ike. "Here, dinner."

Serena walked over to Miharu, carrying sticks. Miharu took them and smiled at Serena. "Thanks." Serena chirped your welcome. Miharu set up the campfire and light it. The camp was already set up, everything done.

Ike's log, #9 – Campfires

Miharu seemed to take notice of Ike relaying his name, but still appeared as if she were deep in thought. Now that Ike thought about it, the name did ring a bell slightly, although he couldn't quite remember where he had heard it, but he could only assume the person was referring to her as the supposed 'Sinnoh Champion'. Upon approach to the clearing, Miharu near enough threw down everything she held, including the Spike ball Pokémon, Togepi.

Glancing around slightly, Miharu began to speak up. "After we'll rest here for the night, we should be able to reach the Breeding Centre by midday tomorrow." She announced, before once again taking note of the fact Mika still clutched onto Ike's arm. "And for Kami's sake Mika, let go of the guy's arm before he loses it from lack of circulation and oxygen." She continued, but still kept a close eye on Ike.

As Mika let go of Ike, This Miharu was clearly suspicious of Ike and the way he had currently approached the situation. But he didn't plan on changing his nature towards new people by any means, and it was rather interesting to watch them attempt to 'threaten' Ike into become more open, even if they had just known him for the best part of a few minutes.

"Serena, what are you doing?" asked Miharu to the Togepi, who seemed to be gathering some of the smaller sticks.

Chirping happily, Serena seemed to be saying that she was trying to help. Miharu asked something back to her, but Ike couldn't understand quite what was said. Taking a few steps backwards, Ike leant against a tree, although his movements were slow enough to stop Miharu and Mika having any ideas of him running off. The idea of releasing his Pokémon for them to relax a while was a brief thought, but he decided against it. Dunmer and Haikou were too beaten to find any relaxation with much movement for a while, and Atol was currently a little too cheerful for his liking. Dunmer had a similar problem, but the previous reason was a better one for keeping him under control.

As the two sat down, Ike kept his ears pricked to listen in on the conversation.

"...did you know you were going to kidnap someone today?" asked Miharu to Mika, as the later pulled out three lunchboxes.

That did pose the question whether or not Mika did plan on 'kidnapping', as they called it. It was the only feasible option for bringing extra food, other than for seconds. The idea of bringing food had completely slipped Ike's mind, although he could probably survive off the assorted berries which could be found in these forests. He never ate a huge amount anyway.

~~~
As time passed, only a few things had happened. The tents were being set up, and it had slowly begun to turn dark. The two others continued to converse between themselves, with Ike simply watching from a distance. One thing that had changed was the situation with Dunmer. Eventually giving in, Dunmer seemed to be enjoying the cold air that had arrived with dusk. Admittedly, all the Requiem Pokémon had been doing for the last who-know-how-long had just been circling the clearing in the forest, fading through tree branches as he did so, almost as if he were patrolling, even in his weakened state. Ike, moving over to the tents, was greeted with Miharu handing him one of the lunchboxes.
"Here, dinner." She muttered, before Ike snatched it off of her.
It was filled with rice and a few types of meat and such. It looked edible at least, but to him, those berries would have looked more appetising. As Serena the Togepi wandered back over to the camp-fire carrying a few extra sticks, Miharu took no time in setting the fire alight. Seeming mesmerised by the source of heat, Dunmer took a sharp turn, and hovered over to the fire.
Staring intently at the flickering fire, he seemed to do little else. "Dusk..." it whispered, still focused on the logs which were slowly burning.
Ike had seen this kind of behaviour in Ghost-types before. Many seemed to have a fascination in a variety of things, although mostly those which could create shadows. Fire, torches, even shadows themselves. Duskull seemed to be those most affected, but near all ghost-types seem to like shadows to some extent. Unsure what to do now, Ike paced back to the tree he rested against earlier, and sat himself down, picking at his 'dinner'. 'At least it tastes better than it looks...' he thought to himself, just after taking a small bite. It was indeed going to be a long few days...
Wait... the uncommon pokemon are just for training aren't they?
And I forgot to mention, Kane will be a reccuring character in Adam's story (They may even fight in the league tournament *hint* *hint*.)
Oops, did I forget to mention that you could now catch all common and uncommon pokemon and train against any bug-types in existance? (Though, it would take quite a bit of skill for me to even allow you to do any damage to some of the obvious strong bug-types. And, if you do see another pokemon (like a Masquerain) it should be in a habitat that fits it (like a river for Masquerain) and you can't just see extremely rare bug-types, especially over and over again (like Scizor).
@Grifspark&MichaelaTheUchiha - Nice joint posts, it's nice to have kidnappings and such in this tournament XD
Congrats! Ike nicknamed Beedrill "Haikou"!
If you're not on day 3 yet, catch up!
and the event we've all been waiting for...(I've added dates :P)
~DAY 3~
Friday, May 13th
((OOC: I feel like making that Miharu's birthday and the egg is a "birthday present" but no one, not even Mika, knows it is her birthday. xD))
Miharu saw the duskull come close to the fire, mesmerized. It was quite common in most pokemon. Especially ghost type pokemon. She noticed that it was dark out now and pointed to the big tent. "Mika, you can sleep in there. Ike, you can sleep in the smaller one."
Mika blinked. "And where are you going to sleep?"
"The trees."
"Why?"
"Because I don't want to listen to you snoring."
Mika tried to push Miharu, but Miharu ended up grabbing her hands, raising an eyebrow at Mika's attempt. Mika pouted and Miharu let go.
"It's no fair," Mika whined. "You and your ninja skills!"
"Maybe you shouldn't try to push the person who has had multiple martial arts training."
"You annoy me. It's not my fault."
"Just like everything else in your life." Miharu rolled her eyes. "Now, go to sleep."
Mika pouted, but complied. She went inside her tent and instantly fell asleep. Mika wasn't used to walking for a long time and she was tired. Not that she'll ever show it, but she knew that Miharu knew she was tired anyways. You could hear her snores from outside the tent.
Miharu raised a pokeball. "Serena, time to sleep."
Serena chirped good night before the beam caught her and she returned into her pokeball. Miharu started climbing a tree that had a good view of the moon. It was full tonight. The various bug pokemon flew across the moon, making it a picture perfect scene.
@Ynfininy8 - Just might be ;) Team Midnight ring any bells?
@MichaelaTheUchiha - Wow, everyone forgot Miharu's birthday, huh(maybe even Miharu herself :O)? That's so sad...Miharu is not loved XD
The Lost Island's League
Ike's League, #10 – A bad night's rest
Miharu seemed to watch as Dunmer relayed the stare to the roaring campfire. "Mika, you can sleep in there." Said Miharu, as she pointed to the larger tent. "Ike you can sleep in the smaller one."
Ike spent just a second wondering whether to complain about receiving the smaller tent, but decided against it. Given half the chance it seemed this Miharu would throw him off a cliff...
"And where are you going to sleep?" asked Mika, as she blinked.
"The trees."
Mika looked a little shocked at those words. "Why?" she asked inquisitively.
"Because I don't want to listen to your snoring." She stated.
Trying to push Miharu, Mika was met with her hands being grabbed by Miharu, halting the would-be attack. Pouting, Miharu let go. "It's no fair," yelled Mika. "You and your ninja-skills!"
Ike grunted at the mention of 'ninja-skills' as Mika called them. Martial arts would pose no advantages in a Pokémon battle, other than avoiding an off-shot attack from the foe. Something Ike had had to dodge every-so-often during his training with Altmer, his father's Froslass. On the note of that, Dunmer's name was derived from the other, with Dunmer meaning Darkness, while Altmer referred to Light. It seemed to fit rather well to Ike at the time.
"Now, go to sleep." Muttered Miharu to both Ike and Mika, as she rolled her eyes slightly.
Mika complied, and headed into her tent. This was swiftly followed by heavy snoring, which was both a sign that she was indeed tired, and that she did indeed snore, like a Snorlax for that matter. Personally, Ike didn't feel like sleeping in the tent. It was far too close to Mika's tent, which was roaring louder than an Exploud. "Serena, time to sleep." She whispered upon returning her Pokémon.
Ike was ever-so-slightly surprise when Miharu lived up to her statement, and had begun to climb one of the trees bordering the clearing. Ike personally preferred to sleep resting against the tree he was currently against. Resting in the tent would be far too uncomfortable for his liking, and the moon was full tonight, which gave the whole forest a mystical quality.
"Dunmer, back." Ordered Ike, as the Requiem Pokémon was broken from its trance and absorbed back into his Pokéball.
Pulling his knees up slightly and returning to a sitting position, he rested his interlocked fingers on his kneecaps, trying to get comfortable. The tree trunk was going to give him one hell of a back-ache in the morning, but he would get more sleep than if he was in the tent. Yawning slightly, he let his eyes fall slowly, and the world went black.
~~~

As the early morning sun hit Ike, he immediately flung his eyes open. He was still half-asleep, but he was also half-awake, which was enough for him. Pushing himself up into a standing position, he stretched heavily, and yawn in much the same manner. His back didn't hurt as much as he had thought it would, but was still a little sore from leaning on the sharp tree-bark. Brushing his left hand against his side, he felt for each of his Pokéballs. One, Atol. Two, Dunmer. Th-

"Crap..." Ike grumbled, as he turned to see the Pokéball which had fallen a few inches from his position, resting with the top near torn off, although still usable.

Haikou had escaped. Grunting, he turned his view to the sky, which was met with an ever-familiar buzzing sound. It was only light, and not nearly as rapid as the swarm, signalling only one Pokémon. Dropping down to the floor, Haikou kept a rough height hovering just around Ike's knee-height.

It glanced at Ike inquisitively. "Bzzt-Bee?" it questioned, as it glanced back to the Pokéball.

Ike simply stared with a harsh and un-comical look, signalling he wasn't amused with Haikou's escape attempt. "In." He muttered, although the Poison bee Pokémon just stayed unmoving. "Now."

The still bruised Beedrill just gained a few feet in height, although refused to return to his Pokéball. Ike simply gave up at this point. It was early in the morning, and despite his usual attitude, he wasn't in the mood for arguing. Ike's next plan was just to wait. While he currently couldn't hear any snoring, he assumed that both Miharu and Mika were still asleep. Leaving was a perfectly feasible option here, but he decided against it. He wasn't sure why he didn't leave now, but something kept him here... whatever it was...
