The manga ceation support club

I havent posted in a whil ;; I don't know when we shouls start it but lets see when we would all be able to get near a scaner XD and same here I have a bunch of fan art, i'm still trying to decide how to draw my characters XP
 
Yup, I use the cheap pencils too. The ones in 24 packs. They work great. XD

Hmm..Before drawing characters, I write down what I want my character's personality to be like. I write down things he/she hates, likes, hobbies, goals, etc. When I have that down, it gives me an idea of what my character should look like. For example, if I had a girl who was hyper, loved animals, peppy, etc..I would have a girl with big eyes and piggy tails holding a puppy and such.
 
That's a good idea, maybe I should try writing down their intersts first^^ I also use very cheap pencils XD but hey they get the job done right?
 
I do that too! Or i draw them and think of their personsality WHILE drawing them. XD I can't win..but the irony is that I taught keizah how to draw...now she draws better than me...XD I still win at paint though...which is useful to me becuase I like to color.
 
Teh heh. ^_^ I've taught people how to draw too, and they're really good. XD
I'm not good at paint. TT That's awesome that you can do that. XD
 
I recently got a kodak program on my computer..it's fun becuase I can make color books pages...The best ones are screencaps..It make coloring alot eaiser and more exact!!

Oh! And guess what I found out yesterday?
One of my teachers is friends with the owner of DC comics and they said I could submit a manga. And if it was good enough, they could make it into an actual manga! ><

Oh! And have you heard of the Rising Stars of Manga Contest that Tokyopop holds every year? I asked my mom and she said I could enter it this year.
 
CHI THAT'S AWESOME ^__________________^ and oooh I'm entering that too this year(my mom told me about it XD) andf as kimi said if it comes real me will look for it as well^^ If you don't do it now theres always later if you still want to right? Just do what you want^^

That'd be so awesome to see a comic made by anyone of ya someday.
 
I know and if we told anyone we knew anyone of us, they wouldn't beileve it XD. I always thought it would be cool to do a manga, my parents said maybe a few summers from now I could try to get an internship there OO that woudl be cool because along with doing stuff they also could teach you to draw better^^

Though I also sometimes have the problem of making them uneven. XD

Yes good luck on your comic^^ and getting some dne is good! I hate when i make the eyes uneven >: so when you guys start drawing what do you start on? I tend to start on the nose, but I was wondering if there was a better way to start to even out the face XD
 
I've tried that a few times but then everything seems out of proportion and my heads are unbeilievably boring and shaped too dull. That problem makes it hard to try and make the hair cool ;;
